This is a must for all auto enthusiasts.  The price is right, free!  They have scheduled tours but you are free to explore the area anytime.  The array of cars Mr. Shelby designed/built is quite impressive.  They even have the original Cobra on display.  I am not a Ford/Mustang person but will admit, walking out of the facility, every single XY ( and maybe even some XX) wants a Shelby Cobra.

They moved from the space by Las Vegas Motor Speedway.   It's the same stuff, only in a bigger facility.   Kudos to them for giving back to the community, which they continue to do.

Took the adult family to Shelby today! It's about 5 minutes from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign on the south end of the strip. It is a working factory, with retail space and a showroom of classic and modern Shelby cars.

We arrived for the tour at 10:30, they also have a tour at 1:30. (Most days) The tour is free and takes about 90 minutes.  The historian gave our tour and had lots of great stories and an amazing knowledge base about Carroll Shelby.  The actual cars or restoration models really help to visualize what the tour guide was talking about. Some cool facts about the feud with Shelby and Enzo Ferrari and Shelby creating the Super Snake model after a run in with Bill Cosby are passed on.

Highlights include the first Cobra: Cobra #1 valued at 26 + million. About 20 minutes of the tour is spent on the side of the factory floor with the chance to see the workers in action and a signature wall next to it.

The retail space has large selection of items and is not as overly priced as one might think. We had a great time but be prepared to stand on the concrete floor for the duration of the tour. It got a little tough on the legs as time went on. They have some chairs to sit in which helps but not during the tour. The tour seemed a bit long but if you are here you must be a kinda car nut to begin with. Bring comfortable shoes!!

Overall I'm happy I went and it was a good experience!
