There are so wonderful when you're current on your payments miss a few do to an ill ness or loss of a job and they become so rude . If you don't have to don't by a car from drive time . I'll never buy another one from them again.

People that go into these types places is usually because they have bad credit right? It's a fixed income dealer. I met with ERIK who works there who I advised in advanced due to some heavy student loans I'm working through I have some pretty poor credit. I was hesitate to sign the paper for them to run my credit in the first place because they would not accept my signed title for my 04' Mercedes that was in my grandfather's name.

Just to see what the company was about I signed it anyway. He told me "if your credit is bad, I don't know why it would really matter anyway." That should have been my first sign. After he had come with the results, my friend had asked if they had any Chargers because that is what I am really looking for. He said we have 1 but it is pretty expensive (assuming I cannot afford such a payment, mind you he has no idea how much money I make) Erik was extremely condesending and passing judgment and made the whole experience just horrifying not to mention I've never bought a car before so this really has impacted my courage for any future used dealership I visit. **Don't worry Erik I'll be sure to show you my charger when I get it. Asswhole

NEVADA AUTO SALES AND RENTALS  2025 S. Decatur Las Vegas NV.

BEWARE, they sold me a car that can't pass smog test for 7000 dollars. They tried to fix it [4 times the car failed], continued to lie and evade then stopped answering the phone. They refused to take it back. After 5 months of run-around I had to give it to the bank and ruin my credit. I couldn't  store it without plates, couldn't drive it. I am a disabled senior and saved for 2y to by the car. It cost me over 5000 cash and ruined credit. They are liars and scammers .

Elana was wonderful. She got us in the car we wanted. The process wasn't bad at all. I've spent hours just waiting on the approval before. It was really quick here. This was probably the best car buying experience I've ever had. Everything was straight forward. No haggling back and forth. Would definitely come here again. Thanks again Elana!

DriveTime makes the used car/poor credit buying experience easy.
1) Go online, look at cars, get approved for inhouse loan (everyone gets approved, the amount varies based upon your provable income)
2) Get a call from the dealer or set an appointment at one of the two lots in Las Vegas.
3) Go to your appointment, pay $1000 down (or more, but 1k is the minimum), leave with vehicle.

The good news is that once you are approved, so long as your references and job verification check out, you won't be denied so you don't have to go through hours of paperwork after finding your car to find out you can't get financed.

Joe was an excellent sales rep.  They do not negotiate the price so there is no hard sell.  He was very informative about the processes, even refusing to show me a car because when he looked at it he didn't feel it was ready to be seen.  They offer you water and popcorn while you wait.  Their cars are all on the lot and they will take you out on a test drive in as many as you want.   All the cars we looked at were in good condition, clean, and started up immediately with a good sounding engine.

I found the vehicle I wanted.   Now comes the reason this place doesn't have 5 stars.  The paperwork took a ridiculously long time to prepare.  I literally sat chatting with Joe for almost 2 hours while they apparently retyped everything that had been entered when I applied into a different system.  They assured me they are getting new systems soon but still you need to know that when you do the purchase, you will need to be there for a while, or go have lunch and come back.

The other thing to be aware of, although it is not a complaint, and I do not feel that Joe or the business tried to hide anything from me.  In fact, when I inquired, they were very friendly and open about it.   However, you need to know the payment quote will include a powertrain warranty and a vehicle locator system totaling about 3k.   While these are optional, the payment quote included them and only when I asked was I told they were optional.   Don't misunderstand me, they didn't hide it from me nor did they try to make me keep it when I inquired, but they just didn't tell me they were included on the estimate.  Moral is, read the estimate first before you commit to the deal and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Your payments will be biweekly and they do have a GPS locator and kill switch if you don't make your payments timely.

Other than that, the experience was great and I walked away with a car I am very happy with.  If you have difficult credit, this is a great place to go.

First off I have bad credit so my options were limited. Someone told me to go to drive time because they work with people like me. They did accept me but the terms were unfavorable. Again my choices were limited.

The problem with drive time is their honesty. They gave me a choice of one car saying it was the best they had. They said the tires were "like new" and the car had been checked out.

Within a couple if weeks I found out that the tires are more than 4 years old and the back ones are worn. The warranty company will not change the tires because they "meet state standards".

Also the motor mounts are weak and car shakes when aidling. The warranty company said they won't cover preventive repair.

My advice is if you have to deal with drive time have the car checked out right after you drive off the lot, don't just take their word!

The experience I had at Drivetime was awesome. I talked to Joe on the phone with lots of questions, and he didn't hesistate to answer any of them. He booked me an appointment the following day. When I arrived I was greeted by Glenn who took care of us so that we wouldn't need to wait. We looked at only the cars I wanted to look at and he never pressured me into getting anything else.

I ended up getting a beautiful 2012 Dodge Avenger, it was literally an in and out process. They really work with you when it comes to a down payment (you have 60 days to come in and put more towards a down payment to lower your monthly bill).

Joe had told me that they do not work off commission, so you really have no pressure to buy anything then and there. They keep your possible loan open for 40 days, so you have time to think. Also, if you refer anyone to buy a car from them you get credit towards your loan.

It was overall the best experience at a car dealership I've ever had!

To be completely honest, I was still happy with my first car that I purchased through DriveTime about 3 years ago. I saw that I was coming close to the $4,500.00 mark, so I decided to call and see how the CHAMP program worked. I was assisted on the phone by Nick (who helped me later on in this review), and he explained how everything worked and set up an appointment for me to come down. The next day, I went to the dealership and was assisted by Brandon. He showed me a few cars, and I ended up really liking a 2012 Ford Fiesta.

When it came time to crunch some numbers, Mike (the sales manager) came over and explained to me how much I got for the trade. He also explained that even though the new car was zero down, my negative equity still held some payment due. Unfortunately, I was not prepared to pay anything as I was really just looking at my options, so he went to run more numbers, but the system went down. After being there for 3 hours, they regretfully asked if there was any way I could come back the following day. I said I could, and we met the next evening.

I was met by Elena as I walked in, and she said that she would be helping me. After going over my file from the day before, Mike was able to make the calls he needed and after nearly 3 hours, we were able to close the deal for absolute zero down! I was elated. I really liked this car, and was so happy to get into it. After leaving the lot, we went for a spin. However, when we parked and went to get some things out of the backseat, we noticed that the rear passenger door would not close. We had to tie it closed with a scarf and hope that it wouldn't open while driving. It was a very scary experience.

I called DriveTime the following morning and explained the situation. They advised to call Averex to get the door repaired. So I did, and took the car to my local in network mechanic. When the mechanic called back, they were advised that the part was on national back order for about three weeks, and there really was not a way to fix it, other than tying it back up. I did not feel safe driving the car, so I called back to DriveTime and was advised to come back town to the dealership. I left work early, and met again with Elena and Mike. They could obviously tell I was very frustrated and upset, and made every measure to correct the issue.

Mike said that we could try and see if he could get me into another vehicle, or I could have my old car back. I decided to look around and see if there were any other cars that I liked on the lot. Nick (whom I mentioned above) took a look at all of the different cars that would fit my price range, and assisted me with test driving a 2006 Volkswagen Passat. He was very nice and really lifted my mood by cracking jokes, and just being an all around genuine person. After the test drive, I decided that I really liked the Passat.

Mike and Elena got to work and started crunching numbers and making phone calls. Elena checked in with me often to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. She is such an asset to their team, and I am so happy that she was there to help me. Almost 5 and a half hours later, Mike was able to work through some glitch in the system, and got me back on the road in my new car, and offered me a full tank of gas for all of the trouble I had gone through.

With almost 11 hours spent back and forth at this dealership, it is STILL the most pleasant experience I have had. The team took ownership of the issue that I had, and corrected the situation as fast as they possibly could for me. I can't thank all of them enough for all of the hard work they put into getting me into a new car... especially on a "free" upgrade. DriveTime is my go to, and I am so happy that they have such a FANTASTIC team.

These guys are Wow, we found a vehicle which was great an it needed to be looked at they said it would be an they would call us.. they next day we drive by it's back on the lot an No call.  Really how big of a liar can you be... No call was made an I'm sure No repair... such bullshit if I've ever seen!..

Really? A car that is listed on KBB for $5000 and they told her it had a $12000 value cause she had bad credit. And to top that off she was quoted 28% interest on her loan. By the time she makes all her payments she would have paid $27000 for a $5000 car. Save your money! Look on the street and hire a mechanic to check out a car for you. There are great used cars out there if you take your time and find a deal. $85 most mechanics will hook up and diagnostic any car. Rather than get raped by Drive Time. This is why people who have bad credit stay in the red!

Since YELP decided to delete the review I wasted a LONG time writing then I'm just going to make this simple:

If you buy a car from here make sure to get the warranty and take it to Cars Complete when it breaks down.  The owner will fix your vehicle for the same deductible as the crappy in-network company's deductible that Drive Time is contracted with.  Spare yourself the hassle and headache of getting your car back still not running properly when you take it to the contracted shop which is Ted Wiens.

AWFUL!!!!!  Completely predatory lending practices and sales tactics. 20 year old got completely taken advantage of, 100% mark up on blue book to sales price, 2 weeks after receiving car broke down, we have paid over 1500 and still unsure of what is wrong.  College student, job, athlete, needs car to get around, NO HELP at all from dealership, took to warranty garage, they cant diagnose whats wrong... would not recommend this place to worst enemy. They only are getting 1 star as nothing lower to give them!

Had a great experience getting a car here. Super honest and helpful people. Kat Beswick was amazing. I highly recommend her to help you get a car. Love love love this place.

Christina F. | 2014-01-28

First time buying a car could be scary, but not here! Friendly faces all around as soon as you walk in. Not just one hello but ten hellos coming from all directions. Kevin and Kat are seriously the greatest! They honestly made everything go so smoothly and didn't rush me into buying anything. They took their time and made sure I was happy with my choice. I had a unexpected situation happen with my car and the whole Drive Time team came to the rescue. Not just my sales team I had been working with seemed concerned, but the whole staff there went out of their way to make sure everything was okay. I would one hundred percent recommend the drive time Decatur team to anyone looking to buy a car.

I cannot say it enough how thankful I am for drivetime. It was my first time buying a car. I had just established my credit so I had to have had a cosigner with me in order to purchase one.
Having been to other dealers that turned me down for my cosigner having bad credit I was expecting the worst. BOY WAS I WRONG. They help finance anyone and help find a payment that works for you.
On to the car searching I wasn't really pick at this point because I just needed something to get me to school and work. They let me
Look at 3 cars in my price range, and luckily for me I found a beautiful Toyota Yaris.

They did everything they could for me to get my paperworks done as quickly as possible and with no hassle!

If buying a car make sure you (and cosigner) bring paystubs and any billing utility.

I will definitely be referring people!

Thank you again drive time!

This place does exactly what it's meant to do, help build your credit. George was very helpful and patient as I went through a few car options deciding what was best for me. They were not pushy, which I loved. Will definitely be referring friends to this location.

Jaime W. | 2013-01-17

First of all I'd like to say that they need a new towing company, that guy kept saying he was "on his way" but he wasn't.

Second the staff that works there made me feel so at ease. George & Chris made the time fly. They answered every question I had, Showed me a decent amount of cars. They took in my hoopty that decided to stop working. George drove me to my home, had a tow truck pick up the hoopty [the tow company sucked] and brought me back =] had the towing company not taken FOREVER I would have been in and out in  an hour at most.

I will be referring everyone to this location. =]

I have now purchased my third car from DriveTime, a 2007 Impala.  Beautiful vehicle and no money down, no payment for 5 weeks.  Awesome!

Got screwed around 3 days in a row by a salesmen. Will never go back.
