The FBI raided this place a few years back.  Apparently, cars aren't the only thing they sell.  They told me the same thing that a car I saw was sold, after I had driven like an hour to see it. I'm glad I didn't do business with them.

Never in my life have I ever been HARASSED this much at an auto dealership!!! I was interested in getting the  Landrover LR2 and as I approached the curb (before my foot stepped onto the curb) the harassing attack began, within 7 mins (no exaggeration) I was asked 5 times by 5 separate savages If I needed help, I replied I will get you if I need anything each time and before I can even touch the Lr2 Landrover I was so aggravated by the conclave of goons I decided to take my business elsewhere. I had found out later that my brother had tried to buy a car from these cum clowns before and last second tried to implement a $2000  "dealer service fee" what type of extra bonuses that included was not divulged  when asked so he immediately backed out and left. BOTTOM LINE DONT GO UNLESS YOU LIKE THE SENSATION OF CACTUS PLANTS RAMMED UP DARK PLACES. Also, please notice the sole artificially written 5 star rating clearly written as a buffer to offset the rhino crash of negativity......NICE TRY 21ST CENTURY......

Hidden Fees... 54 complaints at BBB...

I and my wife were looking for a car advertised at $26,388 we made an appointment and went to 21 century auto group. When I arrived they showed us the car, however it had a sticker for $36,995 on the window. They tried to get us to test drive the car before discussing the $10,000 discrepancy between the advertised price and the window sticker. They told me that the advertised price did not include a $2400 dealer processing fee. They had also $900 other fees. They were also very rude and arrogant to me and my wife.

They use cars.com to lure people but they do not disclose the excessive fees.  

We wished we checked their reviews at Yelp and other places online before we wasted our time. This is a horrible place !!!  

They have very bad records;

I drove from South Jersey looking for a car.  When I got to 21st Century, the employees were very nice and accommodating.  I didn't feel pressured at all into buying something that wasn't for me or that I didn't want.  Everyone was very helpful and they really made my car buying experience much more enjoyable than other dealerships I've dealt with in the past.  I would recommend anyone looking into buying a car, to stop in at 21st century.

Run as fast as you can. I was looking for a car for my college child and saw an ad for a 2006 C240 Mercedes for $9900. When I arrived they showed me the car, however is had a sticker for $19,000 on the window. They tried to get me to test drive the car before discussing the $10,000 discrepancy between the Internet price and the window sticker. I finally agreed, however they could not get the car to start so they had to talk price. They told me that the Internet price did not include a $2400 service fee so they could service the car. Really!!  That was not all. They had other fees. We didn't stick around to find out. What a waste of time!!!

Bait and switch. Call in 40 minutes before arriving at dealership. Told me the car was still there. Once I get there first thing they do is try to take your personal information (something wrong already), then they will come back troll you for another 25 minutes. After all the time wasted they tell you the car which they say they have is droves off in middle of afternoon because one of their employee got off work 10 minutes ago and took the car. They could of at least come up with something more creative to do bait and switch. After that they push really hard to sell thing that you don't want. Wasted 4 hours round trip from queens, and $20 worth of toll fees. Bunch of con artist. Stay away from this place you will get bait and switch. Time wasted here is not worth the chance to hope they have what you want.

No company deserves a 0 out of 5 stars more than 21st. Notorious for the bait & switch. Went to look at a $15k car that we called to confirm it was there. The following day it was "sold" and the only thing they had was $20k. Being idiots, we decided to go with that car anyway. They had 5 days to detail & prepare the car but decided to do it the day we picked it up. They broke off a piece of the trim & were fully prepared to hand it over to us without saying anything but I noticed & they promised to mail us the trim once it was ordered (it's been 3 months & I'm still waiting on that trim ha!!). Drive the car home & realize the AC is broken. Called Guatavo our salesman & he promises he will take care of it. Don't hear from him for 2 weeks until I call & complain meanwhile I made an appt with another dealership to look over the car. Apparently there were holes in the condenser. Gustavo calls me after this time to tell me it's the freon and to come in (2 hours away) to get it charged. Needless to say the condenser is not covered under warranty and I needed to pay $600 for a new one. We didn't receive the title for over a month (1 day before my temp plate expires) and when we go to get the new plate were told we "didn't pay sales tax" so we owe another $1,200 even after we paid for all of this crap at the dealership.

Want to have uneducated, ignorant and semi literate individuals try to screw you over? Of course you do. Well 21st Century Auto Group, uses the finest 16th Century methods into tricking you and hopefully screwing you over. Do you want an Acura that you saw? well too late, it was sold the minute you saw it, ..but you can get any of the other 100 cars on the lot, nobody gives a crap about.  At 21st Century Auto Crap, we will sell you crap, and smile...and maybe even laugh about it, while we promise you we're doing everything in our power to make you happy. Did Stephanie call you to schedule an appointment? well..she doesn't work here...but there's Tiffany, and Piffany and a bunch of other people that would be equally happy to pretend they're Stephanie. What about your scheduled appointment, did you make it with John? oh ..he's not in today...but it's okay...anyone else can help you, except ..that car was sold, and our Database runs off a 486 DX2 40mhz, server..and it only gets updated once, ...in February....on the 30th.  So take a day off, ...waste some gas, ..pay some tolls and come over, ...you're gonna like the way you're screwed.

Just recently purchased a car here. Had a great experience. Lots of cars to pick from. Couldn't be happier with my decision and my purchase. Love my M6. My salesperson called and asked me how the car was doing a week after purchase and just recently called me again to check in. Service has been great and this place should not be overlooked.

If I could give a lower score I would. Complete bait and switch called to save myself the two hour commute there, was assured the car was there. Obviously it was not. "Sold last night" find it hard to believe it was sold 1/2 hour before closing.

I usually don't write reviews but this place really deserves to be highlighted.  I scheduled an appointment yesterday 8/7/2013 to purchase a 2006 BMW 325i.  The dealer confirmed my appointment this morning 8/8/2013.  I drive for almost an hour, paid a total of almost $15 in tolls and when I get to the dealership the car had already been sold the previous.  The sales person tells me that he has good news and bad news.  The bad news is that the car had already been sold.  Then he has the audacity to tell me that the good news is that he has a 2002 Mercedes C Class for me.  I actually had to bite my tongue to keep from saying something that I most definitely would have regretted. So the moral of this review is Please STAY AWAY from 21st Century Auto Group!!!!!!!!

Keep an eye on Better Business Bureau --- it only gets an F on BBB. All of the staff members are liars.

First, we went for a car listed on cars.com for $17,995, but guess what, they ask for ANOTHER $4,800 dealer preparation fee and more than $400 documentation fee, which added the total price to way higher than $20,000. They "gave us a Independence Day discount" on the $4,800 so we "only needed to pay" $2,400. By the way, the $4,800 was for their "160 inspections" to guarantee that the car was free of any defects. Ha-ha-ha!

Then, although they extremely affirmatively said that the car is in perfect condition, I found that the car did not have a gas tank cap. When we went for a test drive, the Check Engine Light went off. They confirmed that it was because the missing gas tank cap, but my diagnosis device indicated that the light went off not only because of the missing cap (code P0442), but also because of a problem on the variable valve timing (code P0015). I personally assume that they intentionally removed the cap in order to mask the real problem of the P0015.

If you know about cars, you understand what I mean. Removing the cap will usually light up the light, buyers without a diagnosis device will dream that once they put the cap back on, the light will go out, having no idea about the variable valve timing problem. Also, my device indicated that they had cleared the code before, meaning that they knew that the problem existed but still put the car online anyway without any remedy. This is how their "160 inspections" worked!

However we still bought the car and I managed to fix the variable valve timing problem by cleaning the solenoids. Later, more problems arose.

Eleven days after we purchased the car, we had not received the title. When I called them tens of times, they finally called back and said they "were going to mail it out". What did they do earlier? On the phone, I addressed three times that on the title my friend's official name instead of his colloquial name should appear, and the title clerk guaranteed that she could figure it out. A week after that, we finally got the title but only to find --- the name was wrong. You think they wrote my friend's colloquial name on the title? NO! They wrote ANOTHER PERSON's name. How unprofessional they are to mess up with their customer's name? At that time, the 20-day temporary license plate already expired but they refused to help apply for an extension. When we eventually received the title with the correct name, the car had already been in the garage without a legal license plate for two days.

Now we feel so relieved since we have renewed the title and registered the car. We don't need to deal with these liars anymore.

This is our experience. Very disappointing and very annoying. If you want to avoid the same thing's happening on you, keep away from them. Remember, on BBB, they have as many as 57 complaints in the past three years and received a rating of F. Our stories are all evidence.

P.S. Many people report that they've found a car online but when they went there they are informed that that car had been sold. Well, we purchased our car on July 5, and today, July 30, the car is still on the list for sale, on both their own website and on cars.com . If you are smart enough, you can figure out what's gonna happen.

Another P.S. When we drove the car to the bank to get the certified check after we had paid the deposit, the sales representative even lit up a cigarette and started smoking in the car without our consent. This is professionalism at its worst.

Wow! I have to say, these reviews don't completely surprise me, but they were still a bit of an eye opener....

I've been here twice before.  The first time, I thought the salesmen were very sleazy and dishonest and decided that I shouldn't come back here.  They were trying to intimidate and pushed too hard.

Second time, I went because I found some cars on cars.com from here and Park Place of Nj for practically new Mercedes with low mileage and low prices.  When I came here (and the other place), they said the cars were sold the night before.  I said "oh, makes sense."  My mom kept accusing them of bait and switch, but apparently she was right... I guess with age, comes wisdom :/

I was mainly impressed with the outside of the dealership, which was just as polished as a Mercedes dealership and the salesman talking to us, Giancarlo, was so charming... Not like a typical, sleazy car salesman.  He looked like he was trying to find what we wanted and was very genuine and honest.  He even told us that his wife wanted a similar car to what we were looking for and made it personal. He was respectful and had eye contact and shook our hands. Anyway, he tried to convince us to buy basically the same car for maybe $2k more, BUT 1 year older and maybe 20k miles more!!! We asked him to look for other cars and most of the cars had high mileage.

Anyway, I went away thinking he was a nice guy and I would have bought from him if he had a lower mileage car... Sooo glad I didn't!

** Also, this is unconfirmed, but I was told at another local dealership, that the cars at this place are mostly from accidents. Make sure you check the carfax always!  And I was told of the added $2,500 AFTER an agreed final price.

STAY AWAY!  These guys are thieves.  They have a lot of good cars, but they lure you in with a low price, and then when you are ready to make a deal, they hit you with inflated fees like a $2500 dealer prep fee.  The car we wanted was available.  We drove it, liked it and were ready to deal, and suddenly the price went from !4,995 to over 19k  What could they possibly prep for $2500!!!!  After being told "every dealer does business this way..." I quickly corrected them, explaining I have bought a dozen cars, 6 of them used, and have never paid a dealer prep fee anywhere near $2500.  I was extremely irate and told them to just advertise the car for the price they want instead of adding phoney hidden fees and then stormed out, claiming if they want the price as advertised, call me.  But honestly, I have no interest in doing business with people like that.   What's ridiculous is that the price of the car with the fee was still below nada value, so absolutely no reason for them to not just price the car accordingly.

I only found things out after I sign the papers, such as two angel eyes being out, and trunk did not even open or close. I brought the car back within 12 hours for return.  21st Century took back the car but will not pay me back the money. Very difference experience from other used dealer, where other one told me both good and defects of the car inside and out to me with kindness. As a female 21st Century Auto just took advantage of me.  I am in the process of cancelling my finance and all down payment.

Scum bags...Run from this place...They  didn't earn an F rating with the Better Business Bureau for nothing! Typical bait and switch. I called and asked about 2 cars. Was told they were both there. 2 hours later I get there, neither car was there..but oh..they had others at higher prices with higher miles! Looking around this place I felt dirty...look up sleezy used car salesman in dictionary and there is a picture of this place. Cars were all dirty. Typical low end auction stuff that couldn't sell elsewhere! If they can't be up front with thier advertising what makes you think that anything they say after that would be truthful? Look them up on BBB! DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buyer beware warning unprofessional check with BBB and consumer reports. They were run out of one county because of bad business practices. The county no longer wanted them there. They received an F from the better business bureau. If you go on the web page, the cars they say they have are not on the lot.  It is just a lure to get you in the door. Stay away from this place, you will truly regret it. If you don't believe me, just google them and read the reviews. The cops are there two times a week trying to stop an altercation  between the purchaser and the owner of the company, Dmitry Zeldin.  This is because Dmitry Zeldin does not want to fix any problem with a car still under their warranty. If you buy a car from this place, shame on you. In order for me to write this review, I had to give this one star, when it deserves negative 5.

Never buy anything from them. Such a pain to buy a car from them. Cars listed on website are really good deal, but dealers will tell you the cars have been sold and ask you to buy another car. Actually the car is still aviable but they want to sell them for higher price. I am the example. I brought the same car listed on thire website for $2000 dollor more. and then they added another $1850 on my final payment. It has been two month since i bought the car. And they still hold my registration and plate. Because dealer said I didn't pay the downpayment which is not true. I mailed a official bank check with overnight mail service, the dealer received it, and they lost it a week later. How can they lost a bank check??? Now they want me to pay them again!!! Why? Why have I response their lost? I don't even know what I am going to do? I did my police report. Now I am consulting with a lawyer. Such a pain! We see.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

This place uses bait and switch tactics, you come in for a car they claim they have and then magically it was sold, then they try to sell you a different car make which is less in value for the other car you wanted to get. Also most of their cars are Lemon and will brake on you with in the 1st month of owning it. When you want buy a new car they will kiss your behind, but as soon as you have any issues with the car they will not talk to you and tell you basically to go F your self.
How do i know? well i am one of those idiots that got ripped off by them. After that i spoke to many people i know and they all have heard horrible things about this place and all had that one friend that got ripped off by this place.

They use the old "bait and Switch" tactic and are overall sleazy.  

I spoke with a salesperson who told me they had the car I saw on the Internet.  Went in the next morning only to have someone tell me the car was not there and maybe it was sold.  When I said I called before they closed yesterday and was one of the first people through the door that next morning, they only gave me a blank stare.  When I asked to use one of the floor computers to show them, they refused.  Then they tried to sell me the sale model care with the same miles, etc., but for $3K more.  Scumbags.

By the way, they will probably have their salespeople come and try to write "glowing" reviews so people don't know the truth about their sales tactics.  Beware!

I would be very cautious in buying a car there and would just recommend that people avoid it altogether.
