Buying a used car comes with a certain degree of risk and you accept that risk entering into a contract.

On Monday, I inquired about a used Volvo Convertible which was very aggressively priced at Woodhouse Lincoln in Omaha and spoke with Jeremy Sykes.  Jeremy is a straight forward, "ain't gonna pull no punches" kind of salesman...I wasn't sure if this was a good fit over the phone.   But the price was right, so I scheduled a test drive.

While at Woodhouse Lincoln, we were introduced to Matt...who actually took us on the test drive and wrote up the sales contract.  (My husband spoke with Matt over the phone, whereas I spoke with Jeremy...like I said, the car was priced right!)

We noted that the "low coolant" light was on and marked on the contract that we wanted the "low coolant issue repaired".  We left Monday expecting to pick up the car on Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon we received a call advising that the coolant leak turned out to be a cracked radiator...this would have been a detrimental mechanical failure and very costly to repair.  But the shop at Woodhouse was working to replace the radiator, at no cost, and we could pick up the car on Wednesday.

I actually felt guilty about the car because it was so reasonably priced and now they had to "eat" a costly repair.

We picked up the car Wednesday, but on the way home the "low coolant" light once again lit up.  At home my husband was able to diagnose a loose hose as the culprit, but didn't want to mess with the repairs already done.  Upon calling Matt, we were told to bring the car back and the shop would take another look.    

Thursday morning I was on my way to Woodhouse, but anticipating sitting in the waiting room for hours and hours on end (and the simple fact that they, once again,  HAD to be losing money on this deal), I decided to stop at an Advanced Autoparts store to see if they could simply replace the clamp on the hose.  The guy at the front counter said that Woodhouse is known for their customer service and it would be in my best interest to take the car there first...ugggh.  I just wanted a quick fix at this point.  

So, I proceeded on to Woodhouse where Jeremy got the car taken into the shop IMMEDIATELY.  He asked if I needed a ride to work or home (I did not, I chose to wait.)  He said they would get it in and out quickly; he would make sure they put a rush on it.    

Within a half hour I was told that the mechanic confirmed the loose hose, he had pressure tested the coolant system and our repair was complete.   This was by far the fastest repair in the history of any shop anywhere!  

Honestly, at this point, they seriously could NOT HAVE MADE A PENNY considering all the time and effort on behalf of the sales and service departments, coupled with the already ridiculously low price.  

This represents our second purchase from Woodhouse (the first fron Woodhouse in Blair, NE) and I absolutely will return again.  Woodhouse's reputation for honesty, integrity and amazing sales and service holds true!

Buying a Lincoln was a great decision. However, the sales staff here leaves much to be desired. The four star rating is for the service team. Kind, courteous, and attentive.
