Reviews on O’Daniel Honda

It's a car dealership. And buying cars sucks in general... But for the crap process that it is, they do as good a job as possible here. I guess.

We came in to look at vehicles around 1:30pm, and only 3 short hours later, left in a new lease after completing a trade-in. It's hard to be enthusiastic about that, but it is what it is. Better than some buying experiences I've had, that's for sure. And definitely no worse than most.

Urbano was great to deal with, also. Everyone was very nice. Sure, they have to do the typical wheeling and dealing, but that's the car game.

I am not sure about the negative reviews because I have had a great experience at O'Daniel. I did all my negotiating online before stepping door in their showroom, and it is the best way to buy a car! They were very accommodating, offered a lower price than other Honda dealers, and threw in some accessories free. I recently went in to the shop, and they gave me a loaner car.

I bought my last Honda at Superior, and I would never go back because they were slimy. Bellevue Honda wanted me to put a $500 deposit before they would negotiate. O'Daniel put the least amount of pressure on me. I would've given them a perfect score but my salesman did not proofread emails and made spelling errors. Can you tell I'm a teacher? Ha!

I would recommend O'Daniel to any of my friends.

I dont know if you guys have ever been in a place like this but I am here to tell you, its full of used car salesman.  I went in for a promotion and of course was offered the deal of my lifetime that I could not afford.  I tried to back out 3 times but they wore me down.  My fault I know but they do not play honorably and so I wont be giving them any business.

Bought a simple license plate bracket here.  The price was high $7 for 2 bolts, $40 for everything But the service dept installed it for free since they had a few extras guys  standing around doing nothing.

Looking at getting our first SUV and test drove a CRV there. Very below average experience, not much information given.

They only had 2 CRVs for the 2011 year available. They never offered to help find the colors we wanted (gray or silver). Then out comes the manager to run the negotiations portion, very odd that the sales person didn't do that (he just watched).

Unwilling to work with us on price or getting us a vehicle we wanted. The manager seemed to showing off for the rookie salesperson; he got so cocky that it was a total turn-off. Turned out to work in our favor, because it caused us to ...

... shop around and ended up with extraordinary service at the Subaru dealer over by West Roads Mall. Scott was extremely informed, quick and professional. We took our new Forester home within hours of making our visit. Quick finance, warranty and out the door.  Had the clear coat, sound protection and some other goodies. Very happy with our Forester and service.

Update: 11/19/2012 - everything is perfectly fine - very happy w/our Subie! It's very roomy and my husband is big & tall so it's a total win.

Update:  7/27/2013 - every time we drive by O'Daniel we frown upon recalling our experience there.  We're obviously still enjoying our Subaru ... not one iota of trouble and husband loves the leg and shoulder room. We couldn't be happier with the Subie!

So I bought my car here today. As much as I LOATHE car dealers in general, I somehow made it through the tedious process. We have bought from ODaniel before, and depending on the salesperson, your either gonna get fu%ked with or not. Choose wisely.

Being educated customers, we walked in there knowing exactly what we wanted, at what price point, and what we were willing to pay for it.

In short, do your research before you buy if you don't wanna get ripped off. Be decisive, and always willing to walk away.

Comparatively to other dealers in town, Odaniel Honda does a pretty decent job ensuring the customer's happiness. If you're in the market, check them out.

DO NOT GO TO O'DANIEL HONDA FOR ANYTHING ESPECIALLY FOR THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT

HORRIBLE SERVICE WARNING HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to get my brake lines in my car fixed and they told me it would only take till tuesday and i sent it it on friday morning. They didn't provide any loaners and that car is my only transportation because i'm a out of state student. So tuesday came i haven't received any calls or updates about my car. So i had to call and they told me the parts didn't arrive but hopefully it will come on wednesday and they SAID THEY WOULD CALL TO LET ME KNOW.

i had to go back to enterprise and tell them to extend my rental one more day. Wednesday comes i'm done with class by 3 and i have no call yet. I had to call them to see what was going on so i would know whether or not i needed to extend my rental or i would be able to pick up my car. They told me the parts just came in and it takes a 9 hr process and it won't be done till thursday.

The whole day goes by i'm done with class at 3 again but i haven't received any calls from O'Daniel. I was thinking to myself please don't tell me they are going to wait till half an hour before they close to tell me my car is ready. I called to check up on my status and a employee informed that they were still missing a part and it should be done tomorrow KEEP IN MIND THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING ALL THE PARTS CAME IN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

So after the fact that they don't update you on your status to say "hey we didn't get the parts like they were suppose to come but i think you should extend your rental one more day or im sorry that i did not order a part that i thought we didn't need but we now do and its very important for your car but i'm sorry for the inconvenience but i think you should extend your rental for just one more day,"  knowing i'm a student and i'm going out of my way to get a rental to take me to and from school, forgot to tell me that they needed another part when they told me the day before they had everything in i think this place is a crap with service in general. GO TO EXCLUSIVE HONDA they are excellent. every person i know who has a honda are never going to o'daniel ever again.

I wanted to like O'Daniel Honda, I really did!  Unfortunately, the following scenarios have played out:

Scenario A - I am buying a Honda Civic because some ass clown decided to battle charge my beloved Chevy Corsica and drive away.  I found a car I wanted on their lot and they wanted too much money.  I went to another dealer, worked my magic, and got a helluva deal.  O'Daniel calls me a week later and berates me for going to another dealer.

Scenario B - O'Daniel proceeds to dick around with a friend's CRV that she takes there for repair.  2 weeks they had her car, and they kept trying to charge her for a loaner vehicle.

Scenario C - I need a repair on my Honda.  I call for an estimate.  After having to interrogate the guy for 10 minutes about a price, he wants to charge me 3 times more than Corky's.

Game over.
