Purchased a truck two weeks ago paid cash was unable to recieve title until today. They want your title and so forth at time of trade but if you have cash be ready to wait for a couple of weeks to get your title. To me not acceptable. Called today they said recieved it last week but was behind

We had a extra car that we didn't need and didn't want to go through the hassle of selling it ourselves. We went to CarMax and they gave us a fair price, realizing that they pay you a true wholesale price not some inflated "trade-in" price which most dealers give you when you're buying a car from them. We were in and out in less than than 30 minutes. My driveway no longer has a heap sitting in it and my neighbors are probably as happy as we are about that. The check is in the bank and I'd go back to here to buy a used car if I needed one. The  thing that really impressed me was how well they explain how they will appraise your car. Steve, the person who assisted us, and Kit, the appraiser, both did a great job of ensuring we understood how they arrived at their offer. Great work on their part.

Four people told me to go to Carmax when I said I needed a new car and fast and they were completely correct. At first, I was a little eeked out - buying a car is kind of a big thing. But Carmax was not what I expected even a little bit. I thought I was going to go in and it would be a hassle and some scary guy would be all...well, scary. But we went in and talked to Bob and he was great. No pressure, he didn't try to get me into too much car (despite the fact that I came pre-financed) and he was super-patient and it was a really great experience. The back office staff was also great - very professional and friendly and got us taken care of quite efficiently. I ended up with a great little car for not a lot of money and it was very easy. Thanks, Bob and Carmax!

Car Max is just your typical car dealership.  They don't haggle over price, so what's on the window is what you pay. This means that you won't get a good price on the car or truck you want. They bought our Suburban 2500 for wholesale price, not trade-in value which was $5,000 higher. We sold our car to them, but did not buy anything. We took their money and went elsewhere to buy a car. Be careful about financing through them as their rates are really high.

Great great great customer service, Bob is the Best..yes that's his real name, ask for him, he got my roommate and her mother into cars a 07 and 10, so fairly new, roommate had purchased a car from Chicago so had to wait for the car to be shipped, once they received the car they noticed the title was incorrect so they had to send it back to Chicago...none the less there was a lot of back in forth, but Car Max being the great company they are gave her loaner cars, which they paid the gas for, sweeeeeeeeetttttt.....nice loaner cars by the way...anywayz the customer service is just great there, they really take care of you.

Not bad for a car dealership.  They don't haggle over price so what's on the window is what you pay.  This means that you won't get the best price on the car but you also don't have to worry about aggressive salesman.  In the end, we purchased a used car that we're very happy with at a pretty good price.  They even bought ours for a decent price.  The two salesman that we worked with, Sarge and Allen, were very friendly.  They offer a three-day payoff that allows you to sign-and-drive.  You basically agree to finance through them and bring a check within three days from another institution and they cancel out the original loan paperwork with no extra cost.  Be careful about financing through them as the rates are high.
