I had my wife, Ann, take the 2004 Sienna to Town & Country Toyota-Scion in Charlotte, for an oil change on May 25, 2012.  After the oil change, she was told the steering rack was leaking fluid and this was an extreme safety hazard.  She called me and I questioned Bret Rise, as to why haven't we seen fluid on our painted garage floor and he stated again, the problem was a must do now.  I had my wife drive straight home and I inspected the Sienna and did not see any fluid leakage.

I took the Sienna to another shop and they said the inner seal or the boots were not leaking and we checked the reservoir for a drop in fluid level.  It has been over eight (8) months and the fluid level has not moved down.  About ten (10) days after this service, we received a letter from Vincent Carnovale about offering us a discount if we wanted to proceed with the rack repair.  I called Vincent and told him we took the Sienna to another shop and they did not see any problems.  He put me on hold and transferred me to Bret Rise. Bret, in a very upset voice, explained that he would show me the leak if I would bring the vehicle back in.

Because the fluid level has not decreased in over eight (8) months, I can assume the second opinion was correct and the service advisor was trying to steal from me.

This was our experience with Town & Country Toyota-Scion.
