Car shopping can be so stressful, but my experience with Mark Rossi at the Independence Blvd Acura dealer was an awesome experience.  Yesterday I picked up my new 2015 Acura TLX which was the 4th TL I've leased.  Not only did Mark give me a GREAT deal on my car, but he spent extra time with me to explain all the new features of the navigation system, but helped me set up the basic car features like my cell phone, Pandora, door locking, lights etc.  There were lots of customers shopping yesterday and yet Mark treated me like I was the only customer there.  His demeanor was so calm and he helped me relax during what can be a stressful situation.  He went out of his way to make sure I was informed and satisfied.  What a great experience and I LOVE my new TLX!!!

So I purchased an Acura MDX in May of 2014 and had an unusual experience at a car dealership, a good one!  I mostly dealt with everything online, but from my first online chat to picking up the keys was great.

My great experience continued when dealing with the service department. I had my MDX in for it's 1st service (oil change, tire rotation, and beat of all a wash) and was very impressed. From the minute I pulled in till I drive off everyone was so polite. My experience with this dealership, out-surpasses my experience with Lexus and Mercedes service departments.

Best experience at a dealership ever! Danny is the man! He knew exactly what car would fit me best and I couldn't be happier!! You know how when you go to a restaurant, and see fish or something else you like on the menu, and for price it says "market"? Could be $20 today, $25 tomorrow, and $16 the day after that. If you have to ask you can't afford it.

Well, welcome to the new world of buying a used car. Hendrick dealerships, along with most, if not all, dealer chains, have adopted the seafood restaurant "market value" pricing model. Supposedly the good news is that you don't have to worry about haggling or hidden fees, just pay the price they tell you it is that day. Or that hour. The prices literally change hour to hour and day to day. In this particular case the car was priced on Saturday morning $2,000 more than it was shown online less than 24 hours previously. After this new normal was explained to me I had kind of a bait-and-switch taste in my mouth about it. But I eventually realized this was inevitable, and like it or not it's here to stay.

With that said, ended up getting a great deal on a certified pre-owned Acura that was indistinguishable from brand new. The key to all this was Jeff Williams, probably the best sales rep I have ever dealt with. He didn't do the bullshit walk around, point out features that are on every car on the road (do I look like I give a shit about safety crunch zones and fireproof hood lining...literal speech from BMW salesman). He explained the new pricing model and we got the deal done. He is definitely an asset to this dealership. When I was wandering around the lot while the deal was processing I saw some poor sucker getting "upped" by a very greasy, very cheesy old-school type used car salesman. I am positive if I got that guy instead of Jeff there would have been no sale. Also having visited a few other dealers recently, I am shocked that they are still able to do business that way. Not for too much longer, at least.

The dealership itself is spotless, and very customer-friendly. Finance and service departments are as professional as any I have seen (see my Mercedes and Porsche dealer reviews). I think I'm done with German cars and turning Japanese. Ah.

My purchase experience was the same as everyone else here, it was excellent.  My issues have occurred after the sale. First, I spend an additional three days in the financing process because we own our own business, and it's a mature company so I  wanted the vehicle in the company name with myself as guarantor only.  In other words I was ultimately responsible, but the credit would only show up on my credit report if I ever actually had to become responsible.  Finance was aware of what I wanted and assured me that if I provided the company info requested, it would be so.  Of course less than a month later I received an email firm my credit monitoring company about a new account and of course it was Acura Financial Services and of course Hendrick then said what I wanted was not possible, and was never mentioned to them until I called to complain.  That response of course was not true, and it's definitely possible to purchase vehicles and real estate using that same method.  

It's now been 6 months and I have not had so much as an email from them, not from sales or from service, so I am now sitting in Metro Honda for my first oil change for my 2013 RDX.  Can't say I ever wish to go back to Hendrick  Acura.

You don't have to dread car buying when you step foot on the lot of Hendrick Acura. My husband and I were in the market for a second car and set our sights on an Acura. After doing a bit of research online, we decided to test drive one for safe measure.

The moment we arrived, we were promptly greeted. We were able to test drive a car and never felt pressure on buying or staying longer to talk prices. Like our last car buying experience, we sent our financial consultant in to negotiate the deal, and within a day or so we got the car we wanted. When we returned, we didn't get chastised about sending in the "troops" to negotiate on our behalf. Rather, we were treated with respect and it was a great experience from beginning to end.

The paperwork didn't take a terribly long time and the entire time we felt comfortable and welcome. They did a great job in customer service. I'm sure they bank on the cars selling themselves to some degree. Our sales guy took time to show us how all the bells and whistles worked so we could drive off the lot all synced and bluetoothed in.

If you are in the market for a new car, give Hendrick Acura a look. They have a great selection and also have a lot on the side of pre-owned vehicles. The sales team are friendly and won't bully you into a sale, plus, you leave with a party favor (keychain).

Completely concur - Hendrick Acura rocks!

I'm one of those people who doesn't really care about how new my car is as long as it gets me where I need to go, but after driving the same vehicle I bought in college 10 years ago, I had to upgrade or be buried under a mountain of maintenance bills. That said, I figured it was high time for me to get an awesome ride.

I did a ton of online research and finally decided on an Acura. I made an appointment with a salesman named Albie Blanco, who was the perfect mix of helpful, attentive, and laid back. He listened to what I was looking for, showed me the TSX and TL so I could understand the size differences, and then took us on a test drive. I instantly fell in love, so after perusing all the colors and opting for the technology package, I bought a shiny, brand new black TSX. Albie didn't pressure me at all and even ended up offering me more for my trade in than I thought he would. In the end I opted for the pre-paid maintenance, the extended warranty and the paint protector; figured I should if I'm only going to buy a new car once every 10 years or so....

In terms of service, Hendrick Acura goes above and beyond. They have always been on time and offer a free car wash every single visit.  And they have free coffee, treats, and drinks in the waiting area as well as wi-fi, computers, and phones for those who need to work while waiting, and TVs for those who don't.

I highly recommend checking out Hendrick Acura for your next car purchase.

Let's face it. Buying a car sucks. Seriously. You think it's going to be fun test driving cars and getting a new toy that smells all nice. Until you get to the dealership and have to deal with some yappy condescending salesman. Every dealership has them, and I'm certain Hendrick Acura does as well.

But for this review, I am specifically reviewing Jacob Cates. He was the right blend of honest, laid-back, helpful but not at ALL salesy.  He didn't pressure us at all during our decision making process and didn't let the "don't let them walk out the door" theory affect him since we really wanted to go home, research and let him pull some numbers. When he sent the numbers, he did a screenshot of the lease numbers so we new exactly the residual, interest, payments, etc. so it was completely transparent. It was clear he wanted to help us find the car we wanted at the best price possible. No back and forth on negotiating, just emailing questions back and forth.

We wanted to buy another car from him but could only afford 1 Acura in the family, but we went out searching for our 2nd car not long after buying the RDX which is a great small SUV and ran into the same schmucks, jerks and dumbasses I had forgotten about since Jacob spoiled us.  He made us not regret leasing and having to go through that experience more often!

Ask for Jacob. Trust me. And yes, the Acura is worth the $.

What a great experience here! I recently visited in order to purchase my car, as my lease was recently up. They were so accomodating and helpful. The only downfall was the long wait because the service center was backed up, but other than that they were awesome. I dealt with Ian, and he was super attentive and came through on all he promised. I know my car is in good hands with these guys!
