Reviews on Suntrup Ford Westport

Worst consumer experience I've ever had. Salesman was awful and did all of the cheesy used car salesman BS. Got another salesman who was slightly better and looked at a few cars and put a "refundable" deposit on a car to show them I was serious about buying and think about it. Decided to not purchase and was given the runaround until sales manager said he refuses to return my deposit of $500. Contacted lawyer and Missouri Attorney General who said this practice is illegal and this dealer does it all the time. This place is awful and they are nothing better than scam artists and cheats. They also bait you with low online prices that they won't honor when you go in. This place should be shut down.

Everyone that I encountered at the dealership was great! It was a quick and easy process from the moment I did a test drive with Larry Persons to sitting down and getting the financing done with Micheal Jackson.  I would recommend them to anyone.

I bought a 2015 Ford Fusion here a couple days ago.  Mr Larry Persons who helped me pick the car is really a nice person. Also, I got a reasonable price with his help. I will recommend friends to come here if they want to buy a Ford. :)

My boyfriend and I had the absolute worst experience with Larry Persons at this dealership today. My boyfriend is very branded to Ford and we are in the market for a truck. After speaking to Mr. Persons about our options for financing, we test drove a possible vehicle. The salesperson would not only not quote a concrete price, "mid teens" is the closest we could get on a number. Upon returning from the test drive, Mr. Persons had paperwork prepared for my boyfriend to sign to purchase the vehicle. When we told him that we didn't love the truck, Mr. Persons became angry! He told us that we wasted his time, slammed his clipboard on the desk and said that "at this point we're done." WOW! I've been in sales for 20 years and would never think to speak to a prospective client in this manner. It's truly the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered and would never step foot in any Suntrup dealership again. If Larry Persons is what this automotive company thinks is representative of their brand, I can't imagine that they have anything but failure in their future.

I was just been there before and ask for information about their sales event.
They made me feels like they don't wanna talk to me.
This sales person is called Jason. I felt so bad

Will not cancel extended warranties as I requested  within 30 days of buying a 2014 Ford Mustang convertible.  Told numerous times check had been sent to bank, bout bank  has not received it.  Turned matter over to Better Business Bureau.  Horrible people there, other than my salesman, Bob Stapleton, who was most accommodating and professional.  Tracy  of title department and Tony Jackson are very unprofessional in my view.  Buy a Ford, but buy from another dealership.  you won't be sorry, as I am with this dealership.  most on their staff should be replaced.

Husband and I went in looking for a used truck for him, he had a big F250 Ford diesel truck and price on gas was killing us. We went in just to look and ended up test driving one. We liked it but were not a fan of the Eco-boost.
The salesman we were with(for the life of me, I can't remember his name) suggested that since it was truck month he thought he could put us in a new truck for almost the same price as the used one we drove. We were skeptical, but my husband really wanted to try out the new Fords. We fell in love.
We ended up getting the new truck for $3,000 more than the used. I would have never expected we could afford a brand new model.
The salesman was awesome and the financing part was quick and easy, not to mention pretty high-tech. The financing person isn't actually at the office, you are speaking over a 'skype' like format on a big screen. It was pretty cool.
I very much enjoyed our buying experience here and will likely be back in the future.

I am sorry to read the poor reviews on the car-buying experience here. I did not purchase my car at this dealership, but did have to have my car serviced there several times. The staff, Greg, Mike and Jason were always pleasant and hospitable. Greg, specifically, was very helpful in keeping me updated while I waited for a backordered part to arrive from Ford. My 2013 Ford Escape was ultimately not the right vehicle for me, but the service team at Suntrup Ford in Westport were great and I would recommend them to anyone needing service on their Ford.

I stopped by Suntrup Ford looking to test drive a few different models. I figured that since my father works for Ford and has the A Plan, I would have no trouble finding a great deal on a new car. Instead, they tried to pressure me into a credit application before I had even had the chance to look at ANY car on the lot. When I finally got the chance to test drive a Ford Fusion, it felt like the salesperson was more interested in finding out more about whether I could afford to purchase the car (by asking personal questions about my family) rather than selling it. They also refused to give me any information on estimated payment numbers without a credit check, something every other dealership I went to had no trouble with. They seem very quick to judge people and I would not recommend them. I found a much better deal with no hassle at a different dealership nearby.

Bought a used 2012 that ran good for about 5 hrs. Too my horror they will not let me bring it back. Very unprofessional. Not sure how they put their name on such horrible products and service. STAY AWAY!!!!!

I will never be going back to this dealership again.

During my test drive the salesman proceeded to tell me about how his ex-girlfriend had a miscarriage two days prior and how sad he is about it. He told me this 5 minute long sob story that I'm 90% sure was made up.

I can't believe someone would actually try and pull this sales tactic, whether it's true or not.

Had a not so great new car delivery in summer, since it was close went back for a new escape. Rich the previous salesman helped us again. Could not find what I wanted in stock but said he would go online and find. He promised to call me Monday after 5pm and guess what, never called.if he lost the number surely he could have looked up from purchase of a 2013 mustangs 4 mo earlier. Bought somewhere else nd gave Suntrup a less than stellar review only to have them contract me to see what they could do for me to pull the bad review. Bottom line the dealership is lying and conniving. Don't buy there! DO go by and take a look at the dirty worn down building and cars on the lot with their Suntrup stickers on crooked.

My husband and I headed to Suntrup Ford Westport this past weekend to look at the 2012 Ford Escape.  We worked with Tony, who is their internet sales person.  He seemed very knowledgeable and really appeared to like his job.  After looking over the car and talking some numbers, my husband and I decided to head home to discuss.  Tony was in no way pressuring us to make a decision, which was a fresh change.  After discussing it, we returned to test drive the vehicle.  I absolutely loved it!  We went back and told Tony we wanted the car.  We didn't have to haggle over the price because my husband is part of the x-plan through his work.  After we decided we loved it, we noticed a few small dings on the car (from hail).  Tony immediately assured us that they would schedule an appointment to have the dings removed for free and have a loaner car for me available during the appointment.

After getting approved for 0% financing, we signed a few more pages while Suntrup had the gas tank filled and the car cleaned.  By the time we were done signing, the car was ready and waiting!

I will definitely recommend Suntrup Ford to my friends!
