Van Subaru provided me with one of the best car buying experiences I've had. Went in to buy a 2015 WRX form them and was afforded the space and time to make my decision. Blake the Salesman, and Marcus the sales manager were exceptionally helpful throughout the process of buying a car.The selection of WRXs wasn't that great, but that's to be expected with that car as it is a very popular and in demand vehicle. I payed a deposit to hold one they had coming in and expected to wait a couple weeks, but only ended up only waiting one. I would recommend going in to see them if you are even on the fence about getting a Subaru. They are very transparent with their customers which is something you cant say about a lot of dealers out there, and not super pushy which is a very welcome change from your average car buying experience. This will absolutely be my first stop when looking for my wife's new car here in the next year, they have a earned a lifelong customer in me.

We purchased a low mileage 2005 outback in March 2014. The transmission was bad enough to be replaced before the limited warranty ran out. While in the shop it was discovered that the axle was broken (scary).  It was in the shop for almost 2 weeks. From then until now my husband was inundated with phone calls from their marketing dept. and asked them more than once to stop. Then we had more problems with the car, took it in and were told it would cost $5000 to fix it. The car cost 10,000 and we've only had it 9 months. We elected to get it fixed because neither of us have time to chase down car problems with our busy schedules. I let my concerns be know to management, while they were professional in behavior, they only offered to give $4000 for the car on a trade in. Not okay. After I pick up my car, I will not be back. I was really hoping for a better experience.

Okay - I'm always skeptical of car dealers. And with the exception of our Volvo dealer I've had my share of bad experiences with them and approach car buying with dread. But I now love Van Subaru.

Last year we bought an Outback from them. We'd shopped around and they were patient while we decided on what car and what manufacturer to buy. They were the only dealer that didn't bombard us with calls or hard selling tactics.. When we were ready, we decided that the price and features on the Outback (especially with four wheel drive) was the deal maker. We were happy with the way John Wickwire handled the sale and especially happy with the service department when we go up for routine maintenance. They have wi-fi, snacks and water in the waiting room.

But here's why I'm writing the review. This year we needed to get another car to help our daughter get to her internship on the other side of the country. I went to look at a used Legacy that was in our price range. But the car was out on loan so John showed us options. One was an Impreza. The right size and the right features for about the same price. Only my husband vetoed my choice of color and asked for a color Van didn't have in stock. So John had a driver drive three hours in one direction to get a car in the color we wanted from another dealership. We had it in a matter of days. No charge.

Several months later my daughter was in an accident. The car was not driveable, The dealership near my daughter's college was neither kind or helpful when she had it towed there. She was in tears and asked what to do. I called Van's service department to ask for assistance  and the General Manager, Joe Antal overheard the message and picked up the phone. I told him what was going on and he said he'd handle it.

My daughter called the next day and said the out-of-state dealer had completely changed their tune. They were courteous, helpful, and after the car returned from Cone Collision the dealership kept the car for a few days to make sure the steering and suspension were up to specifications. She says the car drives like a dream.

When i took my own car to Van for an oil change I stopped to give Joe a hug. It meant that much to me for him to help her. Joe smiled and said "I told you I'd take care of it!"

So I'm a fan of Van Subaru for going the extra mile, especially for making that call on our behalf. And shout out to Lisa in the maintenance department who said she'd help too if needed. We've owned a number of brands throughout the year. This has been the best in terms of product features, pricing and customer service so far.

One thing I noted after I left the building - Van has signs posted for the staff. They read "Anything less than perfect is a failure."  I think that says it all.

Went to purchase a new crosstrek and I was never treated so unprofessionally. Salesman knew I was coming in at one. I was prompt and he was eating lunch. He said he was going to put away lunch and be right back. 10 min later he comes back, sits down, gets up to go get file, brings wrong file, has to get up again, has to go get car appraisal gone 15 min, comes back refuses to negotiate. Rudely got up and said goodbye. Went to lee's summit subaru and got same car for better price. Had the best experience ever at a car dealership. Thank you Lee Summit subaru!

Van Subaru did right by me.  I bought a 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited from them back in 2010 before I left the Mid-West.  I love my car and I always get compliments.  I highly recommend Van Subaru!
