Reviews on Molle Toyota

I have been taking my SUV to Molle for the past four years (60K) and they have always been honest and fair.  My recent experience was a little overwhelming as after 60K it needed new tires and new brakes.  They were patient with me as I checked tire prices, but found out theirs were average for a guaranteed 60K tire.  I'm sure if I check around I could find a place that would replace my brakes more reasonable but I trust these guys as they have yet to do me wrong.

Went in to buy a truck.  They didn't have what I wanted so they had one transferred from another lot.  Tony L had all my specs and I signed the purchase order.  But when the truck was delivered it didn't have the correct wheels.  Tony and Don (sales mgr) offered to split the price of their mistake, which meant they would split the retail price and they wouldn't be out of pocket, so I said 'no thanks.'  I went to another dealer and purchased exactly what I wanted.  I can't wait until the Internet all but eliminates the need to buy a car from a dealership.  Also, the Finance Manager in the truck department tried to talk me out of using Toyota Financial (@ 2.99% interest), even though I had a pre-approval from Toyota Financial before I arrived at the dealership.  No more Molley for me.

Car buying ranks right up there with root canals on the hierarchy of "fun things I like to do."  Large expenditures make me nervous, and I am averse to feeling schmoozed and subtly talked down to, so my auto purchasing experiences run a high risk of being nervewracking and teeth-gritty.  This is why Molle Toyota gets such high marks from me.  What a pleasant experience!

I had never purchased a brand new vehicle before, and had some trepidation going in.  Props to Juan, the sales person I worked with, for being such a pro, helping find discounts and rebates that applied, really listening to what I did want and what wasn't important to me, and being just really genuine and straight with me.  The pricing was great, I wasn't the recipient of pressure-y tactics that made me feel uncomfortable or yucky, and I am VERY happy with my car and look forward to many years with it. I am hopeful that the maintenance and servicing package I went with through Molle continues to live up to the high standard already set.

My wife and I have been looking for a new car for a few months now (I'm a slow shopper), and back in early February I found out about the Costco Car Buying Program. I signed up to learn more about the program, and received a call the next day later from Johnathan, one of the sales reps. We talked for a bit, and I said I wasn't ready to buy just then, but call me back in a month. A month later, he called me back, and we set a loose appointment for this past Saturday afternoon, sometime between noonish and three-ish. (Any time you have two "ishes," you know the plans are only tentative.) We showed up around 1 or so; Johnathan was helping someone else, but sent Juan to help us out. We went in more for information, but Juan was so good we ended up buying a car that day. We had originally thought about a Yaris, but Juan found us so many rebates and deals that we got a Prius C instead for only about a thousand dollars more. Overall, a very pleasant car buying experience.

I would say I will definitely be going back, but the thing I like about Toyotas is that they last for so long--I have a 2006 Scion xB I got new, and I plan to drive it for another half decade at least--so it might be awhile before I do. Still, I plan go back and see if their shop is as good as their sales floor.

I am in my second lease through Molle and as time goes on I am more and more disappointed with them. I was going to trade in my car a few months ago but when I went in to the dealership to finalize everything they had sold the car! My fiancé and I were prepared to get two leases that day but they ruined that with their terrible customer service.

I have never been able to work with the same salesperson twice because when I go back they no longer work with Molle. I believe that speaks volume to how that company is run.

Each visit I've made to the service department at Molle has been exceptional, in the true sense of the word. I'm not used to being treated so well when dealing with my car, be it at a dealership, local garage, or chain mechanic.
Molle initially exceeded my expectations. I left the service department smiling after my first visit; I had a slightly better day after getting my car back. That's a sentence I didn't expect to ever write.
That sort of experience is rare in most industries. I have to say it's near unheard of at a car dealership's service department.
So I've continued to visit Molle, driving past quick-lube places, national chain mechanics, and local garages, many of which I've visited with various cars over many years.
Yesterday my visit to Molle was what I've come to expect: quick check-in, a nice waiting lounge, free goodies, darn good coffee, solid wifi, a smile and a handshake from my service advisor.
Then my expectations were exceeded yet again: the total bill was less than what it would have been at the quick-lube I used to visit.
So I'm sold and I'll be returning so long as the experience remains at this high level.  Thanks Molle.

Always helpful, friendly and honest ... great service every time I am there and pricing is very competitive too! Extremely pleased with their company!

I was a little disappointed during a subsequent visit.  I was given a loaner car to tend to errands while my repairs were being completed which was great.   Customer service remains excellent, but it seems that the pricing for service is exorbitant.  At this point, I would recommend coming here for routine maintenance if you have a coupon, but go to a mom and pop place you trust for more laborious repairs.  You'll save a chunk of change.

Don't even begin to think they will own their mistakes.  After being a loyal customer (even including family members) and purchasing/servicing over a dozen vehicles I felt confident recommending a co-worker do business with them.  He took his Camry in for repairs and it took three months overall for a two week job.  They repaired the wrong part of the car, damaged another area and tried to blame my co-worker. Then they wanted to potentially cheat the insurance company on the coverage.  After delay after delay and little to no communication they turned over the car.  Very bad taste over this and the lack of any sort of apology for shoddy work and no communication.  It ends my relationship with them after presenting a very detailed case to their "customer relations" manager and getting a brushoff.

Every Toyota dealer sells the same product.  The quality and honesty of service is what matters.  Molle fails completely on this!!!

Do you like being disrespected as a customer and treated like a number instead of a person? If so, Mollie Toyota is the place for you!! My experience was made abysmal by their "all-world" salesman Wilbert Veal.

After making plans to finalize my trade-in/purchase on Saturday (couldn't be Friday because their business manager was out of the office ON A FRIDAY), I received an extremely informal text message from Veal that essentially said: "sorry, but we sold your car today".

Pathetic customer service. I would rather stick a hot fork in my eye than deal with this trash establishment again.

Overall pretty happy with Molle Toyota service.  We had one issue two trips back for a lube, oil and tire rotation.  We picked up the car and we noticed that the car had a funny sound.  Pulled over and found out that they forgo to put the oil cap back.  This shot oil all over the engine area and made a complete mess.  As you can imagine we were really upset.  Despite some weak attempts to 'make it right' they finally did something that was worth the hassle.  We still go back. I will say that the service staff is very well trained and very customer service oriented.  We much prefer this place than Olathe Toyota.

I bought my first Toyota here in 2009, and I was very happy with the salesman I had (his name is Bill, but he's moved on to another dealership), and I found the service dept to be very satisfactory. BUT, they are about 8 miles from my home, and there was another dealership closer to me, so I decided to give it a try. I was never happy with the way I was treated there, BUT they were only two miles from home. My first Toyota was a Corolla, and it was just too small and uncomfortable. After two years, I was getting ready to take a long trip, and I decided to get a slightly roomier car - a Matrix. Another long trip was on the horizon, and I decided to go a little larger (I have a very narrow garage in a 1950s era home, so large cars are out of the question). I went back to my neighborhood dealer and test drove a Prius, but the salesman was not very knowledgeable and I left feeling disappointed. A friend recommended I use a broker she knew. This was a new idea, but I decided to see what he'd charge to make buying a car less stressful. WHAT A GREAT IDEA that was. He suggested I try Molle, instead of the other dealership, because Molle was just a better dealership all around. He knew a salesman there, Anthony Gooden, who had been the manager, but had gone back into sales. He was wonderful. Anthony needs to give classes on how to be a car salesman. He just needed to know what I wanted in a car, and then we'd talk price. Having the broker there helped me a lot, because I never know when to say yes or hold out for a better price. I had a list of the things I wanted, and Anthony came back with a price that was about $65/mo more than I wanted to pay and without the navigation system (they didn't have any on the lot). The broker talked to Anthony and asked if he could find one with the navigation system I wanted somewhere else in the city. Anthony went away, came back and he said he could get me all the things on my list for only $10/mo more than the price I was willing to pay. I was delighted. It was painless and it didn't take all afternoon to come to an agreement. We were out of there in a little under two hours, and that included the test drive. Two days later, I went to pick up my new car, and I love it. I won't mind driving the extra 6 miles to the dealership, because I get such great gas mileage - almost double what I got with the Matrix.

Regarding Service-  check elsewhere for your European car!  My son has had numerous issues with Molle's poor service and high price. No excuse- even thigh the Audi A4 is an older model, not purchased from them.  This week is the last straw:  car failed to start (alternator we are told).  He has car towed to Molle as it is closer than Volksworks (who we have been happy with!).  It was 24 hrs before they even LOOKED at it. No phone calls, son had to call there to prod them.  Then he is told price, which at $1300 (after towing), he decides to double check with a second opinion.  Turns out Volksworks' labor is WAY less, the estimate is half . Car is towed from Molle ! No thank you. Oh- it took entire afternoon to get a phone answered to take cc payment to pay for service time so they would release car to tow over to new mechanic.  Customer service is worst.  We have all our other cars from and serviced at Jay Wolfe Acura- AWESOME! Molle makes them look even better.
Get more than one estimate on service if you have an older car that is not from Molle.

I must have got the wrong sales rep. I went in to buy a car and told the lady what my budget was and that I wanted to test drive a few cars. She handed me the keys to a Yaris. I didn't make it out of the parking lot because a Yaris wasn't what I was looking for. I asked about the Scion and the lady snapped at me, It's the same as a Yaris just a different shell. I handed the keys back and left. Won't be back. The other reviews seem to paint a much different picture so 2 stars, incase that lady was having a bad day.

I've purchased two cars from Molle and my parents have purchased two cars from Molle.  The salesmen and saleswomen were honest and not terribly pushy.  They are SORT of, but that doesn't really bother me...they're salesmen and saleswomen.  That's their job.

But..speaking of saleswomen...I do wish they had more women working for them.  I notice a strong male presence on the sales floor which bothers me a little.  Not that I can't handle haggling with a man.  I kinda like it, actually.  They're always a bit shocked by how tough I am.  :)

The service department is clean, comfortable, and there is free wifi in the waiting area.  Sometimes, though, you have to wait, even when you make an appointment, which is a bit annoying.  It's not too long of a wait, but I make appointments because I hate waiting.  That's sort of the point.

Overall, I love this place and feel very strongly that I will buy all of my future vehicles from Molle, too.

I thought this dealership was horrible. We went in to test drive the Sequoia. The salesman was not familiar with the vehicle. We fell in love with the car, despite having to answer some of our own questions. When we talked to the manager, he lowballed us on our trade in, refused to negotiate on the price of the vehicle. When I questioned why he wouldn't come down at all from what was on the sticker, he replied, "you apparently have never purchased a  luxury vehicle before". I'm so glad we took our business and our money to another dealer in town who treated us with respect, care and worked with us. I'd never recommend this dealer to anyone.

This place could very easily have taken advantage of us, but they didn't. They were very honest and easy to work with. We had been told by a dishonest mechanic that we needed new shocks, but we took the car to Molle instead, where the mechanic told us that our shocks were fine. We did have them change our oil, and they washed the car for us for free.  The waiting area is comfortable and includes a play area for kids. A very good experience.

A year ago I had to buy a car.  I wasn't up for the usual hassle and haggling and went through the Costco car buying program.  For used cars they have an agreement with Molle Toyota (among others).  Toyotas were among the cars I was considering, so I set up an appointment and went there to shop.  The Costco program eliminated the haggling and saved me about $900 on a nice low-mileage previously-leased 2007 Corolla LE.  Everyone was extremely pleasant and low-key, they were able to finance the car at lower interest than my credit union offered, offered a good extended warranty, and I found myself rolling off the lot in less than three hours after I arrived, completely stress-free!

This afternoon I took the car in for its scheduled maintenance.  It was easy to get an appointment, and they were accommodating about the fact that I was a half-hour late!  They had e-mailed a coupon that made the cost of the maintenance $44.95.  That included oil-change, tire rotation, topping up the fluids, diagnostics, etc.  When they rotated the tires they found that one of the balance weights on the right front tire had come off, so they fixed that -- it was only about $20 more.

So far all my dealings with Molle have been pleasant and professional.  They seem to take a lot of pride in their service and customer care.  They have an attractive and  comfortable waiting area with free coffee (and the TV was blessedly tuned to MSNBC instead of Faux News!).  Based on my experiences with Molle so far, I can recommend them highly.  And if you're looking to buy a car, check out the Costco program!  It really is hassle-free!

I recently purchased a used Toyota Prius from a small dealer in Waldo.  I went to get in checked out by a mechanic, who took a full 24 hours to tell me there were some error codes that came up in the diagnostic, he couldn't tell me what they meant, and that I definitely shouldn't buy the car.  However, the price was to good to pass up, so I took it in to Molle Toyota for a second opinion.  I didn't have an appointment, but Josh L. immediately took a look at the report from the other mechanic, looked up my car history in their database, and was able to tell me exactly what the error codes were (turns out they were related to tire pressure).  He then got the car in for a full checkup by the "hybrid specialist" mechanic on staff while I waited in their clean, magazine and TV stocked, comfortable waiting room.  Afterward the mechanic explained that the only problem he could find was that the vehicle had worn out tires that were the wrong size, but that otherwise the car was in great shape- he also gave me a bid for correcting the tire issue.  All together I felt like everyone was really helpful, professional, skilled, and straight with me- and even without an appointment and with a car off of a competitor's lot, they helped me out without hesitation.  I ended up buying the car (got a great deal), and knowing where I'll be bringing my Prius back for any service it needs.  The only reason they didn't receive 5 stars was that my wait (and hour and 45) was a bit long, and they could've given me a better idea of the wait at the start.  Overall though, after dealing with other dealership service departments (usually awful) Molle was a pleasant surprise.

Molle service department is dependable.  They do a great job!  Better than the other other dealer, that is not so Superior.

Jason B. | 2009-12-16

I shop around and enjoy the battle of purchasing new / used cars - I've bought 2 cars from them - a new Sienna and a used Tacoma - both purchases were honest and fair and I walked away with a smile.

Went in for service - and have been floored by their customer service - they almost try too hard - was almost expecting a rose and perhaps a hug as I left to get my truck.  Auto dealerships aren't supposed to be this pleasant to deal with.  I will go back and happily shop / purchase from them again.

I have a 2005 Toyota Prius--the official automobile of old, cheap people. I promise I have never seen anyone under the age of 60 driving one...deep sigh. Anyway, due to the giant battery that helps run my little car--I get 45 mph..hee hee, only a Toyota dealership can change my oil etc. I was sad because I love little mom and pop car places and these are the place I have always taken my car.

Molle pleasantly surprised me. The staff was so pleasant and the waiting room had an ample array of couches and tables, a TV and vending machines. They also offer complimentary coffee.

I hate going to the car repair place; I feel like a fish out of water, but Molle Toyota never made me feel like I was about to get bamboozled into buying a new carburetor or oil filter(I know you are impressed with my gear head terms). They even washed my car after the oil change.

This is the only place I will take my car!
