Unprofessional and Untrustworthy.

I bought my Sonata in 2012 and co-signed with my Father. This is the only documentation that has both of our information tied together and shortly after, we were notified that our identities had been stolen. Unfortunately this is speculative because we can't prove it, but please be mindful of this when you are choosing your location to purchase your Hyundai.

Fast forward to the present, we were suckered into buying the Platinum, bumper to bumper warranty. I've asked several times for clarification on what this gets me and after going to the dealer to have a tire repaired they tell me I'm set for free brake pads. Three hours into the services, the pull me out and hand me a $315 bill because while the pads are free- the roters and brake fluid is not. After much arguing, they agree to put the brake pads on without additional services. My total wait time for an oil change, brake pads, car alignment, radio reset and patching a tire took 6 hours. Once I leave I have to turn around because the radio isn't working and needs to be reset again.

Please keep in mind they charged $100 for an oil change and $35 to plug a hole. I know dealerships are going to be on the expensive side, but I would hope the service and work would reflect the prices.

The following morning I go outside to find my tire is losing air again. I do not have time in my schedule to drive back for a service that should have already been completed correctly the first time, so when I called back to ask for a $35 refund- their way of handling it was hanging up on me.

They also promise every other oil change is free, but what they really mean is every other one pending you go to the paid tune ups they offer. Please do not buy from this dealership. They have many tricks up their sleeves, they're rude and untrustworthy.

Please save yourself the headache and heartache and buy somewhere else- I wish I would have.

When we went to fix the tire ourselves we found that the nail was still in the tire and they never repaired it at all, but still charged me for it. I have called back four times and only once did a Manager get on the phone for me. He told me he was going to talk to his team and would get back to me that day and I have not heard from him or been able to speak with him since.

After researching online and visiting other dealers, we knew exactly what we wanted.  We walked onto the lot around 7:30, met Nick Cutlip and quickly got to work.  Our ownly indecision was to buy a  new or used vehicle?  We test drove a used, looked at the price and walked over to the new car lot.  While we were walking around to see the other Hyundai Sonatas we spotted a lone red Sonata parked up front.  It was the packeage we wanted, with a little extra.  Nick got things rolling quickly and within 20 minutes we had a deal.  We appreciated that there was no waiting while we back and forth, it was painless.  We knew what we wanted to pay, and the business manager, Eli,  met us at our final price.  Overall a great experience.  The only complaint would be that there were 3 deals going on at the same time and it did take a while to get paperwork done. Nick Cutlip is a standup guy!

I'm starting to think that if I wanted to receive that warm and fuzzy awesome customer service feeling than I should have purchased a Honda.  I went here for an oil change...that took an hour and even the guy that I gave my keys to was a little cold.  I have a 2010 Hyundai Sonata (not purchased from this dealer) and I am starting to think that it was a grave mistake.  Thanks Laurel Hyundai for making me feel so unwelcome.  

Looks like I'll be heading to the Hyundai service centers/dealerships in Northern VA, where they seem to know the meaning of excellent customer service.
