Normally I go to the Acura dealership in the Chicago suburbs where I bought my Acura or handle the repairs myself. However, I was in Louisville over Christmas and had neither my tools or my dealership around. Without and appointment, the folks at Acura Oxmoor let me in and got the repairs quickly resolved. The staff were friendly and funny. And they were more than reasonable with the bottom line. I have to say this was an extra bit  of holiday cheer. Thanks.

My daughter being on vacation, lets Dad do her grunt work. Her baby is an Acura 2008 TL. She loves it except for the mileage and probably will sell because of it as she drives from DC to Louisville often. I dealt with Tina Bowman in the Service department yesterday and you could not have ask for a more professional and "trusting" individual.

The waiting room and all of its amenities you know you are going to be paying more, but that is what an Acura owner expects.

I took my daughters TL in for a leaking Power Steering Pump. Turns out, this was under recall and was addressed at my daughters last service visit. Seems the hoses deteriorate and fail. They replaced the hoses then. However, they created another problem of an improper O-ring somewhere in the reassembly which failed. They fixed it again.

My daughter says they never told her anything about it, as she had a laundry list of other problems.

One being the battery running down, I had checked it for her and told her the battery was good, something was draining it down. Acura said it was something to do with the Blue Tooth. They didn't tell her they just unplugged it to fix the problem.

Got the 45 point inspection and they recommend a timing belt change and rear brakes.
$1,000 for timing belt, and $250 for rear brakes. Give me a break!!! I suggested Breakaway for $100.00 and Tina said "if you want them to squeak." Thinks quick on her feet.
But really, Brakes are brakes and a company that only does Brakes is going to build their reputation by doing a quality job.

While waiting for the car I wondered into the show room, and talked with  nice kid named Bobby. Showed me the 3 different models and with the higher gas mileages, my daughter will probably go for one. I questioned Bobby on the mileage factor, and asked for a comparison chart. He couldn't produced one and tried to divert me to the general glitzy show booklet.

After I got home I searched and no mileage info given. Reason, it still sucks, I am going to try and change my daughters mind away from the Acura. maybe a Ford Taurus or Fusion.

I would definitely recommend this dealership to define the problem and check for recalls. I probably would look somewhere else for the actual repair other than recalls.

Don't waste your time.  I called this dealership and explained that I just wanted them to run my credit, then tell me how much money I would need down for a vehicle.  After running my credit, they didn't even bother to work with me and let me know anything.  I was treated anything less than a customer.  One week later, I drove to Ft. Wayne and bought a 2008 Acura and I love it!  Ft. Wayne earned my business!  STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.  THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU.
