I seriously have to find someone else to service my car.

I come here because most places don't stock Kia parts.  Historically, I have assumed that getting service at the dealership would mean you pay more for the service, but only get the service you actually need.  Pricey, but honest.  I can work with that.

But I've started to question that.  The service guys are fine, but I don't trust the people in the office.  They haven't mailed you a coupon in a while?  They can honor the standard discount... except when they won't.  They can't accept a Discover card... unless they choose to make an exception for you.  Earn "rewards" points for your service purchase... unless you want to use any of your rewards, then you can't.  The whole transaction felt dirty.

Bait and switch! I was in the market for a car recently.I had my price limit and wanted to pay cash and trade in the mini-van of my former life.I had concentrated on used cars because of my  financial needs. But I kept hearing the radio spots about the kia sportage for 11,990. And thought, 'Wow for a little extra I could get a NEW car!'
Went to the kia store east.I was greeted by a smiling salesman and said I would like to take a look at the sportage they had for 11,990.He offered me a seat while he got one.Test drove an automatic and he explained all wonderful features.I asked if they had a manual version for the same price.We were driving the manual when I said there were alot of features for the price.Things changed quickly.Oh, no this was was only 16,000 the one for 11,990 didn't have these features and not even A.C.!! I decided since he wasted my time,I'd waste his time and not let him do this to someone else I let him put some numbers together-they only offered me $1000 for my trade in and had a ridiculous monthly payment even though I was putting over half the price down! So,I took up more of his time by letting him show me the new kia along with 3 other used vehicles and acted interested enough for him to get his sales manager involved. Who was impressed with how "laid back" I was.Easy to do when my mind was made up not to buy from these guys.They were slick, too slick,friendly,too friendly.When steering your car,steer clear of kia store east.
