I went to Neil Huffman and Byerly Nissan before deciding to purchase a Nissan Rogue at Collins Nissan.  I'm going to divide my review into two parts: the negotiating phase, and the car pick up phase.

Negotiating Phase: James was my salesman.  I liked his personality, and he showed a real interest in getting me the car that I wanted.  He was very good at communicating with me via text.  He was persistent and helpful, but not annoying.  He was professional, and overall I enjoyed working with him, which is why I decided to purchase my car here.  It took a couple hours (literally) of negotiating, but James and the sales managers (not sure of his name) were eventually able to find the car I wanted at a price I was willing to pay.  There was another car at Byerly that had everything I wanted, but the car that James found had a few hundred dollars worth of additional accessories for just $57 more than the best offer I received from Byerly Nissan. The car, however, had to be brought in from another dealership, so I wasn't able to drive home with it.  Before I left, I asked James to write down the VIN of the car I agreed to purchase.  Instead of writing the VIN, he wrote down all the vehicle specifications, which include an auto-dimming mirror, chrome bumper protector, moon-roof package, and a few other bells and whistles.

Pick-up Phase: A few days later, I picked up my car.  I was so excited to get it, so after I signed the papers, I basically hopped in and drove away.  When I got home, I looked at the car more carefully, and I realized that the car I went home with did not have the same accessories as the car I agreed to purchase a few days earlier.  There was no auto-dimming mirror, that is listed online at $315, and no bumper protector, which is $85.  I called James immediately, and the first response he gave me was "Oh, well this car had the same accessories as the car you liked at Byerly."  I responded that I had agreed to purchase a car with more accessories, and that if I wanted the car at Byerly, I could have purchased it from them that day for a lower price.  James worked quickly to help resolve the problem; however, to date, all I have received is a check for $259 and an apology from James.  I have asked for the full $315 to be refunded, and I want the bumper protector installed.  I have not received confirmation about whether I'll receive the additional $56 and bumper protector.  I'm frustrated that a month after my purchase, this still has not been resolved.

Overall, I feel cheated and lied to, and the resolution has not been satisfactory.  I'm kicking myself for not carefully looking over the vehicle before I signed the papers.  I'm not trying to be difficult or unreasonable--all I want is what is fair, and the car they sold me is simply not the car I agreed to purchase.

Great Customer Service from the Collins team,

I had gone to a couple of Nissan dealerships in the area and was disappointed in their inability to give me the deal that I was looking for.  James, one of the sales reps at Collins Nissan was personable, very professional and willing to work with me to get to get what I thought was a fair price for my trade-in and the the vehicle that I was interested in.  Their no haggle policy made purchasing a new vehicle stress free.  I would recommend Collins Nissan to any one looking to purchase a new vehicle to get the best price.

The car buying process can be very stressful.  I dreaded even the thought of buying because I'm "credit challenged."  It's embarrassing putting financial details out on the table in light of possible credit rejection; then you're left with disappointment and wounded pride. My family and I was in desperate need of a new, reliable car. We looked at different car dealerships and after careful consideration,  we felt comfortable with Collins Nissan. We got an exceptionally great offer for our trade. They actually listened and went to great extents to get me approved. Not only did they work hard to get me approved, they kept my dignity intact. This was our first experience purchasing a new car from a dealer.  We have not had a car payment in 25 years so we were very apprehensive going in.

We had stopped in a year ago, but didn't end up buying anything.  We started again this year.  After going to a couple of different dealers and having very bad experiences we landed at Collins Nissan.

Our salesperson from last year wasn't there so someone else assisted us.  There was no feeling of pressure.  Their team is not on commission and they have a great attitude about taking care of the customer.

To make this long story as short as possible - we finally picked a vehicle, but they had to get it from another dealer. It came in and we picked it up.  On the way home I noticed a small problem - the steering seemed to be a bit out of alignment, or the wheel just wasn't centered.  Not a big deal but the car had less than 200 miles.

I called the Sales Manager and told him the problem.  After a little discussion we decided to take the vehicle back and get another one.  No hassle, no questions.  Just a great 'what can we do for you" attitude

We found a car that had just hit the lot that exceeded our needs.  We paid a little more than what we had planned to, but got a great deal on
the car.

We picked up the car, finished the financials and went home feeling like we had a great experience.  My next car will come from Collins, and I will recommend them to anyone that asks.

Go see Mary Ann and Ricco! They were wonderful and I LOVE my 2008 Nissan Rogue! No pressure to buy, no spending all day at the lot! Great experience, I HIGHLY recommend them!
