Recently locating to the East End, Bachman has become my go-to VW location. I purchased my second VW here, and the shopping experience was very pleasant. Steve assisted me in the selection, and the sales team is honest, no BS type of team. They don't have to try too hard though, VW's basically sell themselves. They have some sweet VW swag and I got a hat with my car purchase. FYI -- if you don't get a hat with your car purchase, regardless of make/model/location, walk out of the sale. Always gotta get a hat with every car.

Anyway, I've frequented their scheduled maintenance service department here, and the staff there is great as well. The coordinators are very polite, and the older gentleman will not hesitate to make jokes (I laughed, at least.)

I've had varied dealer experiences, but VW seems to hold a high standard of who can sell/service their brand. Nothing but smiles from me.

Worst excuse for human life on the planet.  These people have the WORST business practices known to man.  After being lied to on numerous occasions regarding items that were written into the sales agreement that they "agreed" to address after the sale of the vehicle, their attempts to snowball me with quick & half-a$$ work, did not pan out so well.  

Among the multitude of issues that I had with these people, the primary bone of contention with these people were their ridiculous practices involving the care of the vehicles, including running cars through a full contact car wash, and then using brooms (& things of the like) to remove snow from their new car inventory.  This results in damage to the paint.

In order to agree to purchase this vehicle, I requested that all of the scratches be removed from the entire car (written into the sales agreement), as it was riddled with scratches from both the car wash, & the continuous contact with brooms or bristles from brushes when removing snow from the car (as we recall, 2013-14 was a bad winter).  On the third trip over there, they still did not seem to understand what was meant by "scratches" & the car still had scratches, including newly visible scratches (thanks to that damn car wash).  A brand new car should not look like sand paper had been applied to the surface.  

So I ended up paying a professional to remove the scratches from the car.  It took two days of working on that car to get things back to the way it should have looked from the beginning.  

I contacted VW of America to see if they could get involved to see if Bachman would do the right thing & address the other issues I had, along with refund the money that it cost me to fix what they were supposed to from the beginning: fix the scratches.  VWoA tried... the situation with Bachman & their scumbag pool of employees only proceeded to get worse.  The outright lies from individuals that I had never met, much less interacted with or had a conversation with, were off the chart.  It was unbelievable.  

At that point, I would have had to take them to court in order to have the things addressed that they failed to address.  In an effort to minimize the headache & distress, I chose not to do so.  However, had the situation involved replacing a warrantied engine with a damaged engine, yet claim that it was "new"...resulting in a laundry list of other issues with the car (yes, this is currently going on with another customer at Bachman), then we would have had an attorney involved for sure.

It is a very sad situation, indeed.  I will never do business with this group again.  EVER.  I don't care if they're the last VW dealer in the area (thank GOD they're not).  

May every last one of those ruthless bastards see karma come back around full-circle one day.  I have heard that it's a bitch.

I'll try and keep it short.

While driving from Nashville to Chicago, we planed to stop in Louisville for an  overnight stop. What we did not plan on was my Jetta's water pump exploding on the highway in the middle of the night and tearing the serpentine belt. We had the car towed to Bachman VW and took a cab to a hotel.

Service Writer Roy called me first thing in the morning about the car. He asked many pertinent questions and explained me the associated costs and expected wait time (which was spot on). Roy also mentioned they were pretty busy and were unsure how fast the job would be done. Knowing that I am not from the area and needed to go home the next day, they were able to fit me in.  I want to thank Roy and the service staff for all their help in a hugely annoying situation.

I bought my car here, mainly because I fell in love with my little Rabbit, but the sales guy kept staring at my chest. Then there was a low tire pressure light on after I drove off the lot, I called and they "fixed" it by adjusting the pressure which I had already done, it came on an hour later and still a year later hasn't been resolved, I give up.

Today I had an appt at 8:30am, the shuttle service won't always be there, but I had to wait over an hour because they sent him on a tire run, normally someone else does that. They dropped someone off that originally was going to wait for their car first when I live a five-ten minute drive away & was the only one requesting it, I got rewarded with listening to the driver sing, talk about Jesus, his divorce, his dads subsequent passing and other bullshit. Finally I get home around 10-10:30, I was getting an oil change and the 29 point inspection, if nothing turned up in the inspection then they'd be inspecting the transmission itself. Four hours later I still hadn't heard a single thing and having to work I thought I'd call to see what was happening and I was informed they hadn't even taken it back yet. I asked why since I had an appt and they said they opened at 7:30 and those appts had some major issues. I then asked if it would even get done today as he said I was 4 or 5 down on the list before it went back, he said he wasn't sure. First they've been there for at least an hour when I arrived and I wasn't informed they were behind, secondly how is it I'm still 4th or 5th on the list? You were open for an hour, but you got so full in that hour you haven't been able to take care of any cars in 4 hrs? I was livid, but I decided to just get my car, then my friends dad called and they took it back almost instantly, he's intimidating. At around 3:30pm, they called HIM, not me to say my car was done, we arrive about 5 minutes later and apparently it wasn't, the paperwork still had to be done and the service department guy tried to make a joke saying I didn't have all day, funny because I've been waiting all damn day. Eventually I get to pay for it and find out the transmission pan was apparently dented and leaking, but they never bothered putting any in citing it would just leak out. They leak couldn't be that bad since I've been driving for two weeks with only two small issues, but thanks!

I would recommend fixing your car yourself, even if you don't know what you're doing, it will probably save you time and you won't be as frustrated as you'd be with them and even if you have an appt it might take a few days. I almost caught my first charge.

Although the service was decent and the repair was made in the time frame projected, I spent almost $2000 and  didn't receive so much as even a thank you.  Felt like a number and not a person, will go to a different dealer from now on.  The service manager had the personality of  a brick wall. Car is fixed though.

I have had 3 VWs and have used dealerships in 3 different states.  Bachman is by FAR the worst experience I've ever had with a VW dealership.  I was shocked and appalled at the treatment (really, lack of service) we received on multiple occassions.

The last visit consisted of me making an appointment, taking the day off of work, leaving my car at the dealership for 9 hours, then going to pick it up only to find out that they "didn't have time to get to it".  Nope, not even to pull it into the garage.  Nada.  Zip.  Nothing.  Why bother to make an appointment then?  They prioritize service by what will make them the most money on any given day.

I will never, ever go back.

Brought my '07 GTI in for an oil change. Called at 5:00 yesterday and was able to get an appointment first thing this morning. The guys in the service department were super courteous and efficient. My car as estimated to take about an hour; it ended up ended up being closer to an hour and a half (perhaps in part because I asked for it to be washed), but it could have taken longer. I decided to wait, but they have a courtesy shuttle to take you to work or home or wherever while the car is being worked on. My service was within the budget I was quoted.

Only reason for four stars instead of five is that my settings, in particular, my seat settings, and I'm really weird about having to readjust those when I've got everything situated just right. Usually service techs mess with the relation of the chair to the wheel because I have my seat so far forward because I'm short, but I don't know why the seat back and height were adjusted too. But that's just a pet peeve of mine.
