Reviews on Tom Wood Ford

My husband and I bought a 2012 ford fusion sport from Tom Wood. We love the car but have had nothing but trouble since. About a month after buying, we had several storms and we noticed the windshield wipers were not working properly. We took it back in and they didn't want to fix them since it had been a month. They finally relented and fixed them, but a day later we noticed the sun roof had quit opening. Took it back, and they had accidentally unhooked a connection. When we returned to pick it up, they had scratched a portion of the tint off the front windshield that we had to go through the hassle of fixing.
Recently the car got a flat. We purchased the tire protection so my husband to it in to get it fix for free- great. When he picked up the car Monday the rim was all scratched up and now we have to find a time to take it back so the can fix that, but only because we had taken a before picture on our phones! Bottom line- you'll never be in this place just once. Never had trouble with the showroom staff but the service center is horrible and a pain. I will not buy from here again, and the only reason I take our car there to be fixed is because of the warranty. Be very wary of this place. Horrible service and rude staff. Be sure to take before and after pictures of the part they are fixing like we did, or they won't fix it!

I had a great experience buying an Edge at Tom Wood Ford.

The person that helped us had no knowledge of the car we wanted.  On the test drive, I literally got the guide out of the glove compartment because the person helping us did now know what anything was in the car.  While waiting on him to come back after filling out paperwork, we googled all the questions we'd already asked him in order to get information.  Then we were told that Ford doesn't lease the car we wanted- and won't until 2016.  We called the ford dealer in greenwood who told us that we could definitely lease the car we wanted and they even had two currently.  Last but not least, my father in law retired from ford so we are eligible for a discounted price.  While pricing things out at Tom Wood, he consistently quoted us at $35,000 total and $550 monthly.  After doing our own research online, we found zero quotes at those prices.  The numbers were closer to $27,000 total.

I feel so frustrated that we did all of our own research while at the dealership and then were lied to.  Don't tell me that ford isn't allowing leases when really just your dealership isn't.  We wasted 3 hours there for absolutely nothing.  I would not recommend this place, nor go back for any reason.

I went to the service center because my Check Engine Light was on and my car was still under warranty. The Service Rep I worked with, Josh, was excellent. He went above and beyond to make things convenient and clearly explained the process for repairs, since I had not been there for repairs before. I cannot say enough good things about Tom Wood Ford and Josh, specifically.

I've had pretty good service here. I think the biggest issue is that I bought a Ford in the first place! Not from Tom Wood though.
I've had numerous recalls and computer issues with my Edge, and after horrendous issues with Don Hinds I drove the extra couples miles to Tom Wood.
My service tech was Amy and she was great. Good with follow through and open to my feedback when I told her how much I hated all these recalls.
One my first visit though I was given a very nice courtesy car bc my recall required the ordering of a part and would take several days. Sooooo nice to be given a car of comparable size to my SUV.
I just can't go above three stars bc I'm so anti-Ford now. Sorry T Wood :(

I purchased my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid here brand new right off the showroom floor and have loved it and this dealership ever since.
My experience with their sales staff was like most car dealerships, the sales guy is trying to make enough money to make a living and the dealership needs to keep their doors open. But all in all we got a very good price with minimal fight. They worked with us on our financing thought i ended up going through my personal bank. it was a very easy experience.
First i have to say the car is my happiest vehicle purchase ever. I have done my scheduled maintenance and have not had a single out of the ordinary problem except for 1 (and i have 92k miles on it so far). The one problem i had was with the regular started battery. It had been run down so many times (leaving stuff on) that it wouldn't charge anymore. Well like most of us i waited until the last minute to try to find a replacement and the Hybrids don't use the same battery as the standard versions do. I checked at the battery places, all the car part stores and by the time i go to calling the dealership the parts department was closed. One of the sales guys said "just come on up here, we've got one on the lot we can swap it out for". I was up there in 15 minutes (on a sunday by the way) and he swapped it out and installed mine in the parking lot right there!! hows that for service.
Now on to their service department. I have had Ben and Trey (service reps) work with me and these guys are on their game!! They are personable, professional and if you keep your service on schedule they build relationships with all of their clients. The will always come talk to you before they do something extra on your vehicle and they work with you on price and your schedule. If you need help getting around while your car is being serviced they will work with you as well. As far as the car work itself, i have had nothing but perfect experiences since i have been coming here. No bad services, no missed items, nothing done wrong.
Lastly, why Ford. Well what got me is their story over the past 10 years. When i started looking for a new car my first and biggest point was that Ford did not take any of the bialout money. Instead they started selling their properties, selling internal stock, cutting money back to their upper management and really reinvested into the company and the automobiles they were producing. I truly believe Ford is better than it has been in nearly 60 years!!

I have to give only one star bc the customer service is ok but they did a bad job 2 times
When I went to get my oil change they told me that they need to align My front wheels
Since then this steering was never straight it's been six months and two times that I took it in to take a look up for the problem and they never did fix it I am very disappointed From the mechanical service
I am a big fan of Ford and they don't do justice to The name ford

I worked with Cheri Berry to purchase a used car and the experience was a nightmare from the beginning.  She was a typical used car sales person.  Had to follow up with her for response.  She will not call you back period.  After negotiating with her for a week I  was passed off to Rick(finance director).  I knew the cost of the car because I called the person who traded it in.  They had the car listed at 100% margin.  They did not have to do any work to the car besides a detail!  I offered them a price where they would still make 20% margin!  Rick turned it down and lied to about the cost after I confronted him about it.  The people are your typical used car sales people....lying to turn a buck.  Stay far away!

Had challenges in getting car serviced and repaired.  Would have to think hard about using them for my next car purchase and/or future repairs.  Took 2 months to get repairs done on car!

These guys are the ultimate professionals and have customer service down pat.  Whenever I come in, I'm greeted with a friendly hello and they actually remember me.  I don't drive that much since I work from home, so I only need to bring my car in for an oil change every 4-6 months.  They also understand that my day begins at 8:00 a.m. and I can't leave my car there.  They get me in and out quickly and efficiently.

I've never enjoyed giving my business to an auto dealer as much as I do Tom Wood Ford.

Highly recommended!

We have been getting all of our cars serviced at Tom Wood for over 10 years. They have always been easy to deal with, and honest in their diagnosis of any problems. Our car has always been ready when promised. And now with the rewards program we get free oil changes, washes, etc.

They are selling plastic bodied all-electric cars here-Think cars. They had a whole herd of them in the back parking lot and a couple charging docks set up outside of the building. Neat, but $42,000??? For a plastic 2 seater? Good lord! I don't care if I do get a tax break. However, these little cars (we sat inside one) have much more cargo space in the back than Smart cars.

We haven't actually done anything here besides look at the cars and climb inside one of the electric ones (which still had plastic on the seats).

They correctly diagnosed a tricky noise from my front suspension and the quote was accurate. This same issue was misdiagnosed at the Zionsville Ford with a quote of $1100. Tom Woods was 300 and fixed it in the time the other dealer took to look at the issue. A coupon from their website was applied for 10% off.
