Just stay away from this place

Pros: If you like Ford vehicles then I think this is definitely the place to go. I can't imagine many places being able to match their selection of Ford cars and trucks.

Cons: We'll keep it short and sweet here. The finance guy here is a jerk. He started off with a line of crap and it just kept going from there. When I would try to ask questions or talk he would start chewing on his glasses and looking all around the room.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this place. They were disorganized, made us wait over an hour past our scheduled appointment time and when we did get to talk to someone they made us feel really uncomfortable.

Went to sit in the Focus and Fiesta. Both have ridiculously small back seats. We tote
Teens around and do not think that anyone would be comfortable sitting in the back. The sales person was kind and willing to step back because we had talked to a skillman sales guy from another brand, even wrote him a note about the loyalty.

The service department is absolutely deplorable.  I would never EVER treat people they way they seem to time and time again.  Thank you Mike for ruining a young girls day by misdiagnosing her vehicle and not taking the time to fix your OBVIOUS screw up.  Thankfully we stepped in and helped her out.  She was from out of town and had no idea what to do.  How would you like for your daughter, sister, mother or GRANDMOTHER to be treated like this?  Shame on you.  SHAME on you!

I purchased a used Hyundai Elantra from Ray Skillman in Greenwood last July. A few months after I bought it, my bumper started coming off at the seam on the driver side. I took it to the Dealership & the service tech patted me on the back, like I was a child, and said there is "nothing we can do". I left mad, but said nothing. I took it back a 3 weeks ago, after my bumper got worse, to the salesman and showed him. He went to the service dept with me and the guys asked me what I hit. NOTHING! There is no scratch or dent on the car, just a bumper coming off at the seam! The techs took pictures of my car to show Hyundai for approval. They never called me back. I phoned them today and the service tech said "there's nothing we can do, Hyundai states that there had to be impact for the bumper to come off like that." I WILL NEVER BUY FROM RAY SKILLMAN AGAIN! NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!

The staff at Ray Skillman Ford is extremely helpful and friendly.  I never felt pressured or hurried in any dealings with them.  They knew what they were talking about and were willing to answer any and all questions that I had.  I never got the feeling that I was just a business transaction for them.

I personally hate high pressure sales tactics.  I did not get this at Ray Skillman Ford and I was very happy about it.  I would recommend visiting this store to anyone and I will be going there from now on.

Never used the service center so I won't act like I know what that is like, but I have purchased a new vehicle from them.  They were the 3rd place we went to and my wife loved them.  I tend to split away from the wife when we go car shopping, lets see how they treat her before I walk up, most places try to show her cars that don't fit our needs even though according to her she explains our needs fully to the sales person.  They tend to talk down to her and act as if she doesn't know what she is talking about.  We were pleasantly surprised to find that the Ray Skillman staff didn't treat her differently at all, which is what the other places did do.

When I walked up the story didn't change, the sales person didn't switch gears, didn't start talking to me and ignoring her, etc.  They were open to negotiating price and didn't try to sell us add ons we didn't want.  

Overall they were very helpful and we would buy a new car if we were looking in the future we would go to a Skillman lot.

I've never purchased a car from these folks but after three, going on four, visits to their repair shop, I've been happy with the level of service I've received. Like any dealer repair shop, the parts prices and the labor fees seem higher than I would expect. However, the quality of service seems to be very good and the personnel are friendly and professional. The last time I went in I told them what I thought the problem was. However, the service manager talked me into taking a test drive with him. He was able to accurately diagnose my problem which saved me some money. I've been to places in the past that just start replacing parts without a serious inquiry into the true problem. Kudos.

Whenever possible I still prefer to do my own work to save some money, but if you need professional help, don't hesitate to go to Ray Skillman Ford for service.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE TO GET BODY REPAIR, IT TAKES THEM FOREVER! My wife needed the side of her car, like the door, the mirror and back tire repaired. They told us it would take maybe like a week and a half, it took more like two and a half weeks or so!!! There is so many better places to go than here, I suggest you find them! Unless you are not in a hurry to get your vehicle back! Also she still needs to take her car back to have them fix the door cause it leaks when it rains and the power window takes forever to go up! Ray, you need to teach your repair crew a lot better!

This place is a bit out of the way, but, if you're on the south side, it's not too bad.  And the trip is worth it, for repairs at least.  I'm not in the market for a new car, so I couldn't tell you about the dealership itself.

But the repair place is great.  My car is around fifteen years old, and these guys were still able to find their way around it.  They call with all new problems that arise, they don't do any work you don't tell them to, and they do it fast.  Longest they've held my car was two days, and that's when they had to gut the whole steering system.  They aren't miracle workers.  Parts that don't exist anymore still don't exist.  But they do their best to work around.

The price is a little bit more extravagant then a smaller-time repair shop, but at a dealership, they don't work on commission, so you know they aren't doing any work you don't need.
