I donated my car via NPR, and it was evidently sold to this company, who called me to arrange the pickup. I was told the tow truck would be there between 11 and 12, so naturally when 12 pm arrived and no one had shown up or called me, I called the company to ask where the tow driver was. I was told they would look into it, and call me back. Half an hour later, having not received a call back, I called them back myself. The person working finally told me that the tow driver was down near UIC, and would be to my house in roughly half an hour. Note that I live in Evanston, which is 45 minutes away, so there is no possible way the driver could be there in half an hour, especially since he had to drop off the car he had just picked up at Sam's before coming to my house. When the driver finally arrived at 2:10 (many phone calls later), he told me that Sam's in fact had not called him to arrange the pickup until 12 that day. I called Sam's to tell them this, and the person I spoke to was extremely rude and gave the most apathetic apology I've ever heard. At this point, the company had wasted most of my day waiting for a tow truck driver that they hadn't even called until an hour after my car was scheduled to be picked up, and clearly did not care that this was a major inconvenience to me. If this is how they treat customers, I would steer clear of this sham of a business at all costs.

The most fraudulent car business in Chicago! They get their cars from junk yard, fix them making "drivible" and sell. Sam does not care what he sells - money, that what he cares. First car we got has died at a gas pump, as we drove about a mile away from so called "dealer" - started died. Second car we got died within 2 month and we drovel less than 1000 miles. The estimate we got from 2 different mechanic shops was same as a car value at that time ($1500). Sam took car back for only 35% of the original price. By the way he is charging a random APR rate every month, so you better write down every dime paid to that scammers.

okay first off this place had a lot of nice cars, but they are doing a little funny business. i came to check a car there and he promised me that it was a good car i asked if the check engine light was on he said no and wen i turned on the car it wasn,t but about 45 mins later wen we outside to go test drive it the check engine light came on. the trans started to slip wen i hit the accelerato,r the right axle was making a loud clicking noise and the two front windows didnt let down. he said he had just got the part today for the windows, and he would put it on the car 4 me, also there was a squeaking noise while driving. the guy then promised me he would fix everything and make it right before i bought it, he even offered me a free 3mnth warranty despite several signs n the dealer saying that all used cars were as is and no warranty are offered, bottom line this small dealer are selling a bunch of lemons and have been open(ripping ppl off) for 18 years i chose not to buy that car as by the advice of my mechanic i brought, i would not recommend anyone to this dealer unless they want to get ripped off and buy a car that has to have alot of work that needs to be done. i said to myself that this is a scam because he made all these promises to fix the car up for me and make sure everything is right and works, but my next question is why havent you done all the work that needs to be fixed before u put it for sale on your lot. so take my advice dont even waste your time going to look at a car there cuz they are all lemons and will mess up on you withing a few days.
