I had this long drawn out story of a review all planed out, I figured I would just cut the chase.  I bought a car a week ago from McGrath Acura, my initial contact was with Walter Bruessard.  From the minute I walked in Walter and a team of professionals at McGrath took great care of me.  Walter, Mitch, Rick and Rob are more then just sales and service guys they're car guys and most importantly easy to talk to and work with guys.  I didn't feel pressured and most importantly I didn't feel like I was being "SOLD" I felt like I was having a conversation with everyday guys.  After my purchase which took place about an hour after I walked in, Walter has followed up with me via email and phone to make sure I have been completely happy with my new ZDX and McGrath's service.  It's nice for a change to get more than you expect from a car dealership.  Absolutely great customer service!

I've been in to McGrath a handful of times for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance since the summer of '13 and will not deviate from going to McGrath Acura of Downtown OR from having Rob B. take care of my service needs. Though I am certain the other service consultants provide excellent service, I specifically schedule my appointments when Rob B. is in the office.

Rob B. elevates service to the level of pure bliss, he takes care to notice the details and remember your face when you drop your car off. What I like most about Rob B. is the honesty and completeness of service when he is working with you - it is apparent he works hard to get you the best pricing and will not recommend over the top or unnecessary repairs. A particularly finicky CA emissions system on my car was giving me issues and the deliberate and thorough maintenance plan Rob B. came up with allowed me to continue on my day-to-day uninterrupted. Rob B. practices the long lost art of hand-written notes, when you pick up your car Rob B. jots down some words of thanks, building the relationship and trust not many people do these days.

On 10/06/2014 I visited McGrath Acura of downtown Chicago to purchase a pre owned 2010 GMC Terrain SLT2 that was listed for $20,000. The actual cost once certain fees were added amounted to $20,692. This was a very clean vehicle inside out and the test drive went well. At first, I was going to cancel the deal due to a high finance rate at around 11%. However, the finance manager said he would lower the rate to 8.65% if I purchased an extended warranty. Therefore, not being educated about certain finance tricks for commissions, I accepted the deal. The extended warranty tacked on an extra $3300. The vehicle had 39,000 miles on it. After around 39,700 miles, the engine light came on and the vehicle power reduced speed. I immediately called McGrath Acura and they told me to take it to a GMC or Chevy dealership for repair. The first repair place I went to cleared the engine codes and switched the battery without solving the underlying issue. They also charged me over $500 in diagnostic fees that the warranty did not cover. I explained the issue to the pre owned sales manager at McGrath and he said if it happens again bring the vehicle to McGrath and they would send it out for repairs. I also got in touch with the customer relations manager and she was able to get me a $200 refund to offset the diagnostic fees I paid. I told her that I wanted to exchange my vehicle for an Acura vehicle because the Terrain was not reliable. She arranged for an exchange with the sales manager. When I arrived to exchange the vehicle, the sales manager said everything was all set to go. I test drove an Acura and was supposedly going to be exchanging the Terrain for this car. However, after waiting for more than two hours at the dealership, I was told that my vehicle was now only worth $13,000. That's a $7000 depreciation in less than two months. They denied my exchange due to negative equity and I didn't plan on placing a humongous down payment on another vehicle. I was extremely frustrated. I drove the Terrain home and experienced repeat problems with the engine within a week. I called the pre owned sales manager at McGrath and he went on a rant about how they could not satisfy me no matter what. He also said that he was not liable for the Terrain and for me to take it back for repair to another service dealership for GMC. He mentioned that's what the extended warranty was for. I didn't know that I would have to go through so many problems after paying $21,000 for a used vehicle that they should had thoroughly checked before offering it for sale. Therefore, I took the vehicle to a service dealership in LaGrange Illinois. They diagnosed the problem and found that I needed a new throttle body. This is part of the engine. The replaced the throttle body and the extended warranty did cover it. I ended up paying a $100 deductible. My main issue is the fact that I was sold a vehicle that had a major engine problem. This should had been resolved before McGrath Acura of Chicago decided to sell this vehicle for more than $20,000 and tack on an additional $3300 for an extended warranty. I had no idea I would be put through so much frustration. This was by far my worst vehicle purchasing experience ever. I expected this dealership to live up to it's good reputation. However, I was truly let down and disappointed. I have learned a valuable lesson and will not make such a mistake again.

So I was working with Walter a great sales person over at the Mcgrath Acura dealer downtown Chicago two Saturday ago when I got my new 2015 Acura TLX. Walter got me a great price and fair price for my trade in. As a personal banker dealing in customer service myself, I have a very high stander for customer service and I want to say that Walter takes customer service to the next level. Always pleasant never confrontation knows the cars in side and out and tries to get you the best deal that he can. I know that was the case, for me. Another testament to his legitimate kindness, today I went over to McGrath to get a complementary car wash something I love. I was answered Walters emails that he sent asking how everything is going with my new TLX, telling him that I was at the dealer getting car wash right now and he came over to the service area to say hi. As I was leaving with my daughter out of the kids area, my daughter nocked the complementary coffee out of my hand and got it all over Walters suit. He didn't get upset he just said it was fine and that's okay great guy great customer service great salesman. I definitely will recommend him to every one of my friends. I am actually trying to convince a friend to get an Acura MDX versus an Audi Q5 I am going to try to send them over to Walter, because I know he will take care of them and make me look good.

Wow!  Is all I can say when I have to pick one word to describe the people in the service department.  Probably the most pleasant Service Department experience I've ever had.  I brought my car by to check to see if a crack in the windshield of my brand new car was a defect and Jon Christensen checked it out, offered to wash my car, and got me a discount on weatherproof mats.  He walked me to the lush waiting room (complete with a cafe that offers coffee drinks and pastries), offered me water or coffee, and in half the time that he told me my car would be ready, was back to escort me to the cashier and then back to the service area to drive off with my car.  All of the employees there were checking up on the guests to make sure we were comfortable.  I'd have no qualms waiting in the service department for several hours given that they provide plush seats to sit in, coffee/water/food, and free wifi.  You definitely feel like royalty when you bring your car in.  I'm forever a fan of this dealership!

I have written a previous review. You won't find it on the main review list because it was 'hidden'. That review was about the terrible financing situation the dealership put us in. This one is about CITY STICKERS.

IF this dealership has taken your current sticker off your old car and placed it on your new one (the one you are trading in at their dealership)....THEY ARE LYING TO YOU. I just found out that they are not allowed to do that. They took our city sticker off the car and put it on our new one. Erik told us to our faces that we didn't have to do anything, that is was automatically transferred. Couldn't have been further from the truth.…

We found out they lied to us when our new sticker became almost 200 after late fines and prorated fees. And now, they refuse to take our phone calls. Many reviewers have 5 stars right now, but just wait. Just wait. Every time we have had to deal with them, they have shown how dishonest and careless they are. To quote the city employee I spoke with today, "Ma'am, they will tell you anything you want to hear until your check clears."

ACURA Chicago has redefined the meaning of customer service. We bought a 2015 ACURA MDX and the experience could not have been better. We got an incredible price and a very low financing rate, but here is what really set them apart: We arrived 45 minutes before closing time. We called Thomas on the way in and he said that it would not be a problem if we were late. From the final test-drive, to trading in an old car, to running us through the new car features to finalizing the financing, the entire process naturally went WELL beyond closing time. All required staff stayed back on a Friday night to make sure that we were comfortable and closed the deal with due process. What's more, they even played with our 3 year old while we handled all the documents! :) As a business owner, I understand how difficult it is to execute on providing exceptional customer service and these guys have set the bar pretty high.

I recently purchased a 2015 TLX from this dealership. I had gone to an Acura dealer twice before that is much closer to where I live, however I was met with your normal mediocre experience when buying a car. I had dealt with this dealership in the past for service and parts so I was already impressed, and the reviews sealed the deal so I went.

By far this was the best decision I ever made. My salesman, Jerome, was always responsive to me communications and made me feel like he was a friend and not just trying to make a sale. The other person I interacted with was Eric in the finance department, and I got the same treatment. Each and every time I called for these gentleman they either answered or called me back within a day - just outstanding.

Not to mention the overall buying experience was easy and hassle free. I don't know that I'll ever give my new car up, but I will be driving into the city just to get my car serviced only at this location and will be recommending them to anyone interested in an Acura.

What can I say, round 1 failure, round 2 much better, but two hours for an oil change after having the first slot in the early AM - unacceptable, but with free wifi, coffee, a nice waiting room, I will give them another chance. Next time a little more than an hour after again making an appointment, the amenities are good but, let's try again. Today, October 4, 2014...made an appointment over a week ago, they couldn't find the reservation for 9 AM. Place again is over booked, asking them after they find the reservation and they tell me 90 to 120 minutes. That's right 2 hours for a simple oil change. No thank you, amenities are good but not that great to waste 2 hours of free time. Mcgrath Acura, 5 tries, all failures, Jiffy Lube and other businesses that will respect my time, appreciate my business, is overall better service for cheaper will get my business moving forward. #failure, #customerservice #wastedtime

Don't usually bother writing reviews but the service dept left a bitter taste.

Fiance had a shattered window from a theft. Brought the car in and they identified some other issues that needed to be taken care of (brakes/tire bulge).

Dealership didn't have glass on hand, so we found another shop that had the glass in stock and could do the work immediately. The glass repair was declined, but as the other issues were related to the safety of the car, despite the high dealership rates, it was requested that the brakes and tire be seen to.

Car was left at the dealership, to be picked up first thing in the morning.  Found out that the car had not been made ready as the glass was on order. The glass which was declined. The car ended up being hours late.  Service department didn't even bother vacuuming up the broken glass rubble. One might expect better from a luxury marque.

From the other reviews it looks like the car buying experience is just a party, but the service dept experience leaves something to be desired.  We will not be using the dealership to service either of our Acuras in the future.

We stopped by McGrath on a Saturday morning to look at the MDX.  Having done our research we had a pretty good idea of the features we were looking for, but having not been prior Acura owners we needed to experience the car.  Jerome approached us a few minutes after we entered the showroom.  We told him what we were interested in and that we wanted to take the car on a test drive.  He set us up with a new MDX and let us take the car out for a test drive by ourselves.  I really appreciated this, because it let us experience the car without a salesperson rattling off the features, pressing all the buttons to show us everything it does, etc.  We took it on the highway and did some city driving as well.  When we came back Jerome sat us down to talk about financing options.  We went back and forth a few times and eventually settled on a price and car color with which we were happy.  The whole staff was really nice to deal with, from the finance manager to Jerome to some of the other salespeople who made sure we had everything we needed while they were getting the paperwork ready for us.  The showroom was in really good condition and they had a good number of cars in stock that met our requirements.  The free car washes are great and the location couldn't be better whether you live in the city or commute down to the city.  We love our new car and wouldn't hesitate to suggest McGrath to anyone who is looking for one of the cars they sell.

Purchased a 2015 Acura MDX from Huxley and with the help of Chase and Erik.  I was simply in there for servicing and the showroom, friendly staff, and comfortable customer-centric ambiance allowed me to feel comfortable to look around.  I inquired about used MDX pricing and Huxley gave me all the information I needed and we discussed options for a newer MDX.  We discussed options, pricing, and trade-ins.  I felt that Huxley and Chase were fair in their dealings with me and kept their promises/word.  Although, I didn't trade in my car, they gave me very strong offers.  I appreciated the non-aggressive interactions with the entire staff at McGrath Acura Chicago and I felt that they wanted, appreciated, and were working for my business.  I came in a few times before I closed a deal and each time, I was offered water, drinks, and made to felt at home and welcomed.  Huxley was very responsive in his followups and gave me honest opinions on questions I had and tradeoffs between trims/packages. He kept his word about call-backs and appointments and worked hard to make sure my car was exactly to my liking upon delivery.  Huxley and team were patient with my final (very anal) inspection of the car and made sure I was 110% comfortable. He even helped remove small smudge marks and dirt that had gotten on the car after it had been washed.  Huxley/Chase played minimal games with me (only a few) during negotiations and Erik took A LOT of time to help explain financing, warranties, etc.  I would refer the team at McGrath Acura to friends/family and would do business with them again - especially Huxley, Chase, and Erik. This experience changed my mindset about buying a new car - but remember, do your homework, have reasonable expectations, and don't do anything you're not 100% comfortable with.

Although Acura vehicles sell themselves, it was a pleasure working with McGrath Acura.  My husband, son, and I visited McGrath in June to explore some vehicle options. We worked with the staff to find the perfect fit for our growing family (the MDX comfortably fits multiple car seats!)  We negotiated a fair price and left feeling extremely comfortable with the price we paid for such a high quality car.  The salesmen aren't cheesy or pushy, in fact they're kind and give you ample privacy and time to discuss the purchase. We love our MDX and highly recommend visiting them!

Two weeks after purchasing a new Acura from McGrath in Chicago I realize that I have never had a better car buying experience. That's the way I wish it always was.

The sales person, Mark Smith, truly has a passion for cars. If you go there, ask if he is available.  I did a ton of research and a lot of shopping around and the price Mark and I came to was more than fair.  Even after I paid for the car I still look at other sites like Carmax and look up my car and laugh when I compare the price I paid for my new car, to the prices at Carmax and basically any other dealership.  

Mark followed up a couple of times already to see if we needed to go over anything (tech package) and to see how we're doing.  Who does that anymore?!

If you're someone who hates the stress of buying a car and you want an Acura then this place is a good choice and see if Mark is available.  He's a good guy to know.  We even invite him to our BBQ's at our house.

Here right now. Second time visiting for service. Everyone is friendly even at 7 am. The freshly ground espresso is definitely a plus. The theater style seating is great. Wifi available. There's a cafe but it's closed right now. It's rare to see a business on yelp with full five stars. Rarer still that it's a car dealership. McGrath Acura Chicago definitely deserves it. Like all else you do, well done, Acura.

I've only visited the service department, but I can say it is as clean and as beautiful as any I've ever visited. Truly a luxury service department with a high-end feel. Everyone from the greeters, to the mechanics, to the service advisers are very professional and friendly to deal with.

I worked with Jim Ebe as my service adviser through an ongoing issue with a noise my wheel was making on my 07 TL-S. Jim was very patient and extremely easy to deal with. I will definitely be asking for Jim if I have any problems related to my car in the future.

Upon walking into the showroom, I was able to browse for a bit without being pounced on by a salesperson.  In just the right amount of time, a friendly laid back salesman named Walter came by to check in on me.  He was polite professional and knowledgeable.  His consultative approach was refreshing.  A a fellow salesman, I can sniff out cheesy high pressure sales people from a mile away.   They are certainly people I choose not to work with.  I've walked out of dealerships because the sales guy was a typical sleazeball....not the case at McGrath Acura.

Back to Walter.....I let him know I was interested in the 2014 mdx but needed more information on the features for each trim.  In my conversation with Walter I let him know that I was NOT going to buy a car that day as the main driver of the car was my wife and she would be with me tomorrow.  In spite of this comment, he continued to answer all my questions and be helpful.

The next day, as promised he followed up with me.  I requested a specific color combo for the SH AWD Technology model that they didn't have at their location.  They had the car I wanted delivered from their Westmont location.  Just to ensure I was getting the best price, I shopped his quote by calling other local Acura dealers.  Their price was the best with the exception of one in the burbs that was slightly lower($400 difference).  Through his manager, Walter was able to match the price and throw in an extra feature that sweetened the deal for me.  

I figured that I lucked out with the nicest guy on the team.  However, his sales manager Chase and finance guy were all equally as cordial, polite and professional.
I forgot to mention that my 3 year old son was there the entire time.  They had a playroom that he could hang out in while my wife or I either test drove the car or completed paperwork.
All in all, they really went out of their way to earn my business.  Best car buying experience I've had in the 7 car transactions I've gone through thus far. They've earned a loyal customer in me.

Leased a 2014 Acura last Saturday at this dealership. Once we walked in we were immediately welcomed by one of their salesman. All the employees were very polite and had smiles on their faces. The facility itself is beautiful. This location also has a beautiful view of downtown Chicago.  

We met with Thomas Whitfield who is very professional, knowledgeable and very down to earth. He took the time to identify our needs and budget prior to offering options. Never felt pressured during any moment. He explained everything and had all my questions answered thoroughly.

Mark Smith at McGrath Acura, the manager Sam, and the entire team are excellent to work with.  Last week I purchased a pre-owed MDX from these guys mostly due to how nice and helpful they were.  At first we couldn't find a car with the options and color I was looking for, but Mark searched far and wide and found a car that hadn't even hit the lot yet.  

Their approach is laid back without much pressure but you can tell how hard they all work. Mark is charming and easy to communicate with. He listened well, and made sure all of my needs were satisfied.  He even followed up a few times after the purchase to make sure everything was going well.

Since it hand't even been washed yet, we discovered that the MDX needed some paint touch-ups. Sam, the manager, took care of those the next day for me, and it looks great.

I have heard from friends that service is a pleasure here due to their comfortable waiting area and customer focused philosophy. Looking forward to working with these guys again.

Worst sales department ever. Sam Youngs and Noble Jones need a lesson in customer service. Apparently, Mr Jones thinks that sending a FedEx letter demanding me to respond within 72 hours - because he thinks I have been unresponsive - is good customer service. I was on vacation for 5 days.  It was not written on McGrath letterhead nor did it have a date on the letter.  So is it 72 hours from when it got delivered, or 72 hours from the elusive date in which it was sent???  Incredibly unprofessional for a dealership that has had my new pre-owned RDX (bought from them) in it's possession (service department) almost every day since the day I bought it - in November.  

It's all been covered under warranty, but it's been incredibly time consuming and irritating to say the least.  The service department has been very nice in the process, but unfortunately the dealership is a team and the sales department was abysmal. All I wanted was for Mr. Youngs to trade me into an identical pre-owned RDX. Instead, they purchased one with 1/3 the miles and then wanted me to put down another down payment and increase my monthly payments!!  He bought a car that benefited the dealership (meaning it could be sold to someone else very easily) and not an unhappy customer that just wanted a car that could be relied upon to start every day.

So instead, I left with my original RDX - a car that  I don't want, that I pray starts every morning, and negative impression about a company that I no longer believe thinks that a happy customer is worth the effort to make happy.

By far the worst Acura dealer I've been visited. I've owned Acuras for about 8 years and have gone to dealers in Atlanta, Louisville and Chicago. I called multiple times to have make an appt and with an appt I waited for over an hour to get service. Even then the people were not helpful and unwilling to help expedite the service. If you can avoid it I would recommend not visiting the service center here.

I live in Milwaukee so there are about 3 Lexus dealerships in my area.  I have been looking at leasing a new Lexus for quite sometime now therefore I have done some research. Before going to any of the locations in Milwaukee I made a call down to this location and they had the car I was looking for but most importantly Heather was amazing and incredibly helpful, even though she knew I was very close to leasing the car from the Brookfield location, she continued to help me on the phone.

I went to Brookfield location I felt rushed and no one really took the time to explain just exactly what I was getting into. I was very clear about this being my first time ever leasing a car yet alone a Lexus and still the salesmen were pushy and pompous and acted like they were doing me a favor while down playing the Chicago locations. Let's just say, I didn't get the "warm fuzzy" about my about to be 3 year investment.

I called Heather, told her the deal, and came down and got my car the next day. They were amazing and pleasant and Jeff really took his time to go over every single detail of the car. Very awesome!! I will be going back. Love my new 2014' RX350!!!

Hands down one of the best car buying experiences. When I walked in, we were looking for a SUV and after going round and round in my decision making, I ended up with an ILX.  I LOVE it and is the exact right car for me.

When I first walked in I met Shane who was new to car sales, but very helpful and courteous.  My husband reached out separately and received a different sales person. Then we were referred to a third salesperson, Holly, who sold us the car (and bore the brunt of our insanity and even watched our kiddos so we could test drive the cars together). The confusion over salesperson was never felt by us though I know it somehow existed.

Holly was an amazing salesperson. She knew every detail about these cars and was never annoyed with our back and forth decision making process, my husbands nit picking or my 3000 questions/scenario planning. She is a gem. If you are thinking about an Acura definitely stop by this location - forget heading out to the burbs. (Especially Muller Acura - they were awful and rude - see my review on them). Once we made our decision it was quick and painless and we got a deal we are happy with. Plus the free car washes and the car tutorial delivery was outstanding. I was constantly surprised with the level of service and professionalism. Even the negotiation process was pleasant and never awkward or pushy.  Overall really A++ experience here.

He was very personable and not like what I would have expected when I arrived. He gave me an excellent overview of the cars and I was sold on a car very quickly. I told him my husband needed to agree to this purchase and they (Byron and the manager Chase) offered to take the car home for a couple of a days to test drive with the hubby. I came back a couple of days and again had a great experience and decided to purchase the 2014 MDX and could not be happier!

I purchased a certified pre owned  2012 Acura Tl tech from McGrath Chicago 2 weeks ago. I came in on a Friday to look at the TL they posted online.  My salesman was Jerry he was good to work with.  I explained my needs and he took my lic handed me Keys and let me drive the car without him.  It was nice to be able to test drive the car without feeling the pressure of having to purchase.

When I returned, Jerry met me in the front and asked how it went.  I didn't feel pressured to buy nor did push. I felt comfortable with this car and procced to negotiate with John the used cars sales mgr.   He listened to my concerns which were some of the scratches on the bumpers and on the quarter panel.  He assured me that they would fix it and make it right.  I left my car with them and it is scheduled to be released back this week.  I haven't seen the work yet, but I trust it will be done right.  I would recommend you buy your next car from them.

I forgot to mention that the finance mgr Liz Roman was very professional and attentive to my needs.  She did her job well and explained very throughly what's my rate and interest payments through the life of the loan was going to be.  I also dealt with Alex who taught me the features of the cars, she was great!

I had a very good experience here buying my RDX last summer and have been happy with the service department ever since. It is a very nice dealership and has great amenities - much better than my last BMW dealer.

The only annoyance is the incessant  follow up calls to confirm your satisfaction. No less than 3 people will call you about the same oil change. It's a bit much but otherwise this dealer is superb.

I spent over a month looking for something to replace a car I hated.

After visiting other dealers for other makes of automobiles, I thought I would give Acura a try.  I had always been loyal to Toyota and my whole family drives Toyota and Lexus and I had deviated from that and went with a car I hated (but shall remain nameless).  Needless to say, I had really missed the smooth ride and awesome reliability of a Japanese luxury car.

I walked around McGrath for about 10 minutes outside (which is perfect, I don't want to be pounced on or ignored) and Jason B. came over and started to help me.  He was incredibly friendly, personable, knowledgable, and he listened to what I said I wanted and he didn't pressure me to get options I didn't want or need beyond the normal, expected pressure that he is required and should provide.  In other words, he knew how far to push and when to back off.  I'd say he was probably the best car salesperson I'd ever dealt with, if not the best.  

After a great test drive, I decided to purchase a 2013 Acura TSX.  I was passed on to Elizabeth R. in the finance office and she is awesome.  She worked with me according to my needs and worked hard to get me the best arrangment for me.  She also didn't pressure me to a crazy point for add on warranties, etc.  She was very patient with me in going over all of the different options available to me regarding dent repair, GAP insurance, etc.  She was also very personable and dare I say, FUN? Dare I say the finance office was fun?  I know! Crazy!

Lastly, I delt with Alex who showed me how to use my Bluetooth and a few other car features.  Totally nice, professional and she knew her stuff.

Went for my first complimentary car wash over the weekend and it took only about 10 minutes and the guy was super nice.

I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone.

We purchase a 2014 RDX about 2 weeks ago, and are very pleased with the car, as well as the dealership.  We had a great sales person by the name of Lisa Coulter, who was professional, courteous, and went out of her way to ensure we were satisfied.  We had a few minor bumps along the way, but nothing major or out of the ordinary in a new car purchase.  I really appreciated the fact Lisa and the Sales Manager, Chase Diagiacomo were very down to earth.  Nothing I hate more than the proverbial smarmy car sales person....and we didn't experience anything like that here, truly a professional team.  Lisa actually drove out to our house to pick up our new car for a post delivery option installation.

We've had two service issues since delivery and so far, the service team has been great to work with.  Just last night, the service advisory offered to send a tech up to set up all the technology settings (Bluetooth, Nav, Etc)  that were reset during our service appt yesterday.  While not necessary, have not run across a dealership yet willing to do this.

All  in all, thumbs up!

John Ta responded to an inquiry initiated through a car buying service, and was immediately price competitive. This was refreshing after experiencing an attitude of "we're the only show in town" attitude from a dealership in a neighboring state. Next, Alex took over to make sure I was comfortable with the operation of the technology included with the vehicle. I just bought my car at this dealership and I am very happy to give it 5 stars!

First, I worked with Thomas Whitfield, who provides exceptional customer service. He worked with me to negotiate the terms of my purchase and I was truly happy he was my sales guy. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. He even took me through the cars features and made sure I understood what I was buying. Truly a great guy and customer service oriented; I did not feel like he was a salesman because he was so good with his customer service.

Second, I worked with John O'Brien in the service department. He was in charge of making sure my new Acura had the 'city package' applied to it, which entails a 3M clear film to prevent those 'park by touch' dingbats from scratching up my new bumpers. After the installation, he showed me what they did and went over all of the details to ensure I was happy. True story, I walked away with more 3M clear film than I had purchased as I only paid for front and rear bumpers, but ended up getting the side mirrors done for free.

I was very happy to see that McGrath Acura puts its customers first and ensures you have a great experience throughout the sale. I work downtown, so I declined the free loaner they would have given me for the day, so instead they offered me a free shuttle to work or a $10 cab fare reimbursement. True and exceptional 5 STAR customer service! They must either be truly happy in their jobs or have exceptional customer service training or both. Either way, truly earned these 5 stars! Great experience working with Tim Scrogham for my Acura RDX. This was the only Acura dealership that had a per-certified used one in my price range. Tim worked with me on the final number until I finally got comfortable with it and off I went with my like new RDX with the tech package. Nicole also spent a good amount of time with me to show me all the technology features before I drove off the lot.

The dealership is clean and friendly, not pretentious at all. They also have a serious coffee machine that offers Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

They also offer free car washes for life - I have not taken advantage of this but will be sure to do so the next time I'm around the neighborhood.

I decided that I wanted to buy a TL before I came to the dealership.  I was impressed with their selection of TLs, as compared to other dealers.  They were able to find me the exact car I wanted - a TL w/ Tech Package - that nearly fit my budget - I opted for a 2010 Certified Pre-Owned with a relatively low number of miles - and they worked with me until it fit my budget.  

They did a fantastic job cleaning up the car so that it looks nearly perfect.  They offered me a loner car - a 2013 ILX - while my TL was taken to a body shop, to repair a few minor scratches.  Everyone at the dealership was extremely helpful and friendly - especially my primary contact, Robert.   I also complained that the floor mats were in rough condition and they gave me new, all-weather mats at no additional charge, after I had already negotiated the price and signed the contract.  

When I picked up the car, someone spent a considerable amount of time sitting with me, educating me on the technology in the car - I believe her name was Nicole.  

They also offer complimentary car washes (forever) and I intend to come back regularly to keep my car clean!  The facilities are clean and well-run.  On the whole, the experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I would highly recommend this dealership.

I purchase a car every 3 years roughly...Grand Prix, Sommerset, Riviera, Mark VII, Jaguar XJS, Eldorado ETC, Infiniti M35x, Cadillac Escalade and I was never so disgusted by the behavior of a sales department until my McGrath Acura experience!!!  I spoke with a salesman (Jerry) about an 09 Escalade Hybrid they had that I wanted to trade my 08 for.  He called and texted a couple times for me to come in.  A couple days later I went in on a Thursday with my 3 year old child because I was the babysitter.  Car was grimy inside; wasnt detailed yet because the used car manager (tommy) was still driving it.  I looked it up prior and it looked like they had it 3 weeks before I went in.  It drove good, but the tires had little tread.  I wanted to go home and think about it because I really wanted a 2010 or newer but wanted to see how the Hybrid drives.  They bought in the used car manager to give me their best price.  They are asking $40,910 on one post and $42,903 on another.  They told me they can throw in free tires.   I asked what they can do on the car instead.  They offered it to me for $40,654 ($256 off their asking price) plus  doc fee,  Govt Fee, and tax... I asked if I decide to get it can I swap my custom rims off my trade in which is valued  at $38k...(they offered me $32k).  They said no problem.  So I left and said if I decide to get it I will come back on Monday. .  I got a text Friday from Jerry saying its my last chance for a great deal.  I replied if you can throw in the new tires and give me an interest rate under 2% I will pick it up today and told them my credit score was around 800.  Three and a half hours later, Jerry replied "tommy said come in everything is good for you to come in now".  So again, I drove my 3 year old downtown with me to buy it.  When I came in Jerry said good thing I did because he just talked with someone who was coming in on Monday to buy it.  I asked if the car was detailed yet and he said it is out now and they should have it back soon.  He left and came back and said I should go see tommy and he will put the deal together.  I went to tommy and he asked me if I had the worksheet that he gave me showing the deal he offered me.  I gave it to him and asked if they had the tires or if I had to come back a different day for them.  He very obviously knew what I was talking about, but said what new tires?  I read to him the text and he said "ohhh, I thought you meant your rims"   Ugly lie!  I figured the guy coming in on Monday must have had a more appealing trade or was willing to pay the higher list price so they changed their mind about selling it to me.  Its a couple weeks later and I am still looking for a Hybrid so I check periodically on CL...they still have a new ad with a different price every single day so they apparently havent sold it yet.  I wonder if tommy must have liked driving the Escalade so much that he screwed the Monday guy too...I cant begin to figure out why they would let me drive an hour each way for absolutely no benefit to anyone.  It worked out great for my daughter because we got to spend the day downtown, and go to Shedd Aquarium.  But shame on them for whatever the reason they did it!!!

We been to many dealers and went through the buying process numerous times.  This has been, by far, our best car shopping experience ever.  Holly was our sales rep, and she's professional and amicable.  We came in with a price in mind and drove out with a new MDX.  The deal was good for both sides.  No jumping through hoops, no false promises, no funny business.

We came in pretty late around 6:30pm and closed the deal within the hour.  We stayed till 9:00pm, past their normal hours, so Alex (delivery specialist) can explain the main features of the car to us.  She helped us pair our phones, got all our settings right, showed us the navi functions, and misc tips so we don't have to dig through the manual.  We felt bad for making them stay late, but everyone insisted on delivering a pleasant experience to us.  

The dealership is modern and upscale.  It is way better than other Acura dealerships in the burbs.

My company offers a company car so I opted to use McGrath Acura for new 2012 TSX.    Due to the complexity of the deal I had to work with the GM Noble Jones on the pricing arrangements and model.   He did a great job getting things organized along with Kevin.  I was then turned over to a sales executive named James.   They all did a great job getting me in and out of the dealership in a timely fashion making it a pleasant experience.   The dealership itself is really something to see.  They have nice furniture, flat screen TV's along with movie theater seating,  pc's for internet, cafe bar, and even offered me bottled water free of charge.  
Yesterday my plates came in so I opted to go to service.  I was greeted by Harry who did a great job getting the plates installed and offered a complimentary car wash despite them not having the car wash open yet.  
Update:  Had an oil change and tire rotation  done by Laura who did a great job getting me in and out of the dealership in a timely fashion and offered me a competitive rate.
