Reviews on McCarthy Ford

Just like everyone else's review...they get you in but don't listen to you when you tell them what you want. I already got approved for a car loan, went to them, and was referred to Tom Hauck by the finance manager. He seemed like a nice guy, but insisted on trying to sell my wife and I one of the cars on the lot, instead of ordering an edge in the color she wanted. We even tried to call him back several times to maybe negotiate on one of the Edge's in their lot but he didn't have the common respect or courtesy to even call me back. Tjese guys seem more interested in pushing their old inventory rather than getting you anything near of what you're looking for.

I acquired a Ford not by choice but by the devil saying "Ha,Ha!" Car wouldn't start, towed it here then it started. They couldn't figure out what was wrong and even though I needed new brakes, they suggest a battery. THAT DIDN'T WORK. After 3 tows, the owner suggested putting me in a new car. This was in '09 I came out a full size and ended up in a compact (FOCUS) just to find out I'm pregnant. That extra room would have been nice but I simply couldn't afford another sedan. The cars are expensive at this dealer but the servicing makes up for it. The guys here know me and my son since he was a baby and I have always been treated WELL.

My 2010 car is there right now getting work done after Chicago potholes and cold weather did a number on her. Some dumbass knocked off my side mirror too!

The repairs tapped into my new laptop fund but I rather have a working car this coming winter than a shiny new laptop.

Mark is awesome! I hope he never leaves this place and is there until he's like 80 and just wanders the property.

My husband and I worked with Peter and Louis. They were both great. I couldn't have asked for a better, more laid back buying experience. They had exactly the car we talked about. We were pre financed and worked the details out before we even arrived at the dealership. I definately would go back.

Before going to McCarthy we went to 2 other dealerships. Joe Rizza...the sales guy was nice, but didn't have what we were looking for. We also went to Golf Mill Ford. I was livid when we left! They pulled the old "bait and switch" on us. We went in for a specific vehicle they had on their website, but they showed us a completely different one when we got there! Way to be liars Golf Mill. Also, you pull in and its like lions hunting prey...salesppl standing around staring and waiting for you to get out of your car.

Anyway-if you want an honest (for buying a car) experience with no pressure...go to McCarthy Ford.

For Auto Repair service - Terrible Customer Service.  Overpriced as you can expect from a dealer, but very RUDE bullying customer service rep. I will NEVER go here again. I wish I had gotten the dudes name so  he is held accountable.

I called before going to this dealer, and let them know that I had been shopping around for awhile. The manager said he could definitely beat my best previous deal, which I outlined in detail. Long story short-after the 1 hour drive, i got there,  and  suddenly everything had changed! I got back into my car after 5 minutes, and headed home, out the gas money plus time wasted. The next day, I went to River View Ford, and they exceeded my wildest expectations for a good deal, so I lucked out anyway.
Bottom line: DO NOT TRUST anything McCarthy Ford tells you on the phone!
