Reviews on Fletcher Jones Audi

Deepak M. | 2015-04-12

To whom it may concern,

When scheduling an appointment with a dealership you expect great service. Unfortunately that was not the case...But on the slight case you have a customer who has bought both BMW and Audi in Europe its a contrast to the brand and very disappointing. To be honest with a customer 5 min before they test drive a vehicle is due diligence.

The entire service department is great and I especially want to thank my service adviser Jim Ebe for being so helpful.  I've had a nagging issue that they have spent a great deal of time and effort to resolve.  Not only are they friendly but they care about making sure you enjoy your car.  I also love how they wash my car after every visit.

Tyrai T. | 2015-04-08

First time for service.. Friendly staff, quick oil change... Will be back.... Highly recommend

David K. | 2015-04-06

Excellent as always. Gerardo got me in for service without an appointment, and I had my car back - problem solved - the same day.  This is the only place I trust to bring in my Audi.

Bryan L. | 2015-04-04

Chris really stepped up for me and guided me through a seamless car sale. Really appreciative of taking my concerns and turning them into a positive.

Thanks again for a great car and a great transaction

Checked out quite a few Audi dealers, but Mike at Fletcher Jones Audi was wonderful.  I live in the suburbs but it was worth my while to purchase from Mike.  I am happy with my purchase and it was a wonderful experience.

Douglas B. | 2015-04-01

I have had nothing but exceptional service at Fletcher Jones Audi.  Kudos to Tim Mettille in the service department.  His attention to detail is unprecedented, and every visit is a quick and seamless process.  I can honestly say that because of Tim, we will be buying our Q7 from Fletcher Jones.  That is, once we see what the new Q7 body design looks like!

Top notch service at Fletcher Jones.  They surpass other Audi dealers in the area, and leave Perillo BMW in the dust.

Bethany P. | 2015-04-01

I had a great experience here buying a car. Brian Hanson was patient, not pushy, and gave us exceptional client service. We went to several dealerships during our car-buying experience and hands down Fletcher Jones was the best. Brian really takes the pain out of buying a car. I will refer my friends and will return when I buy my next car.

Asad M. | 2015-03-26

These guys are great and always have been.

The staff is very knowledgeable and goes out of their way to make sure the customer has a good experience. I have been coming here for a long time and will continue to do so. Car service is top notch Gerrardo is who I usually work with and he is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend coming here for you next vehicle purchase and service.

I worked with Danny Turcinovic recently to trade in my 2012 Ford Mustang on a 2010 Audi A4.  Quite simply, I cannot say enough good about the Fletcher Jones Audi dealership.  They have a beautiful showroom and their staff is remarkable.  I am a total car buff and have very high expectations about buying cars, and Danny was excellent to work with.  He is very personable, polite, is very easy to talk to, and takes a very big interest in his clients.  His knowledge of the Audi brand is very high.  Like a lot of people, I love cars but greatly dislike the car-buying process.  They were a lot of fun to work with and made the whole thing very pleasant and enjoyable.  I would definitely recommend them for anybody interested in an Audi.

John C. | 2015-03-16

Service has been outstanding the three times we've been to dealership!

Doug R. | 2015-03-11

They made everything about as painless as it can be to do major service for your car.  Good explanations, loaner car.  Everything was repaired as explained.

Michael G. | 2015-03-10

I got excellent service, combining a recall (airbags) with a first mainteance. Everything was done in 90 minutes as promised. Jon Ralis was a great service advisor.

Alicia C. | 2015-03-09

The service department is beyond wonderful, my favorite is Will, he is always on it and very responsive.  I cant say this about the sales lady that sold me my most recent car, all she cared about was the sale and didn't go over anything with me.

Leasha O. | 2015-03-09

The one thing that makes this dealership so great is our service advisor Adam Hosko!  He keeps me informed, is thorough and very kind and patient with all of my questions.  The location is also quite convenient and that is another plus!

eric z. | 2015-03-09

A friend asked me to go with him to look at the Q5,  ended up we both bought a car from them.  It was my 10th experience of buying a car,  and i have never felt so welcomed by those sales persons.     Charles and christ were very helpful and patient with me.  Will sure be back when

P M. | 2015-03-06

This dealer goes the extra mile to ensure exceeding my expectations.  This is coming from a reviewer that isn't always a "happy camper".  I'm always greeted within 60 seconds of driving in, surrounded by positive attitude, acutely aware of my concerns and out the door in 5 minutes. Whatever negative comments are likely for the history books. They truly deserve 5 stars.

Devi Prasad K. | 2015-03-03

4.5 out of 5.

I have been a customer of Fletcher Jones for about 3 months now having purchased an Audi Q5 from them coming all the way from Madison WI. as Dealerships in  the WI area are really not helpful and some are rude. This is our 2nd Audi in last 2 years and the first one being brought in Dallas Tx, i find the experience with FJAudi a pleasant and very satisfied one overall.

Danny was the sales person whom we worked with and is very cordial, helpful pleasant, fun and interesting to talk to person who knows how to deal with customer. Not pushy. Not really a "car salesperson"  but a person who feels for customers . Very very Highly recommended. Car was bought on the christmas eve but he was so patient and helpful that he waited and worked with us after hours also.

5 out of 5 for Danny. Next car i wouldd buy from Danny and will also refer friends

Imelda M. | 2015-02-25

My husband had work done on our car 02/24/2015 Wonderful service he cannot say enough about FJ. Second visit was equally as good as his first. Hassle free, got a 'loaner' for a cpl of hours. Work done on time. Not overpriced as one might expect at a high end dealership. Service Advisor, Jim Ebe absolutely professional, honest & accommodating. Asset to F.J.  Work done by Giuseppe Perna, excellent as was dealing with Francisco.   Thanks to all. Highly recommend.

A G. | 2015-02-21

A decent experience but I'd advise anyone reading this to make sure you get all your referral credits, freebies etc before actually closing on the car.

The dealership itself is clean and presentable and most of the people are friendly to both customers and dogs. The receptionist is sweet and always professional. The purchasing process is pretty decent and to give them credit they are very patient as far as car salesmen (I'm sorry, consultants, as I was corrected) go - until the ink on the paper is dry, and then good luck getting what you were promised.

My fiancé and I referred a friend and the 3 of us purchased $160000 in cars between the 3 of us. My fiancé got one referral credit but when it came time to get the second one for my purchase, Danny went MIA.

No answer for 5 months and it was always someone else's fault for not getting the credit voucher. I was getting my first service and left my number for a manager to call me regarding this a month ago - no call. Texted Danny - no reply. Everytime I called he wasn't available.

Finally I called and spoke with a manager, Brandon, who was very helpful and had the voucher the very next day. My fiancé went to pick it up and ran into Danny who blamed someone else for not having the voucher ready and then told my fiancé I only gave him 700 out of 1000 points on the survey I was told to take (I actually gave him an undeserved 970/1000) and proceeded to blame the delay in getting said voucher on the answers to my survey which apparently he didn't like (he wanted the full 1000 points).

Not cool. Danny was patient during the process and I will give him credit for that. He was helpful but I didn't like the being treated like another disposable number once the deal was done. Appreciate Brandon, big props to him for getting on it. Nice dealership, just be careful who you choose as your salesman - I mean, consultant.

Gavin H. | 2015-02-10

Always take my Audi in to FJ for all scheduled maintenance under warranty, and the service team takes very good care of me from start to finish.

Brent H. | 2015-02-04

First impression: very organized and prompt service experience. Thank you James D.

Jen H. | 2015-01-29

We purchased our Audi Q5 in August and obviously were sold on how great service was going to be there. I came to get a car wash the other day (because they told us they offer complimentary car washes) and they told me they were done doing complimentary car washes and only washed cars that were being serviced. This is terrible customer services, especially after having a lexus and getting such great service at McGrath downtown. I am bummed and disappointed about this. For the amount they charge for their cars, They need to figure out a way to please all customers.

Roger L. | 2015-01-20

I was attend to promptly and professionally in all aspects of the transactions. Pricing wa handled in a candid & transparent manner.
Training on the initially daunting controls took place at delivery with a promise of refresher and more advanced sessions at my convenience. Free of course. And they threw in a cap. Very pleased.

Carolyne N. | 2015-01-19

I took my car in for the  annual servicing. The service advisor, Jon, was very personable and professional . Fletcher Jones service  department is outstanding ,and it is always a pleasant experience taking my car in. They are a first rate dealership.

Lauren H. | 2015-01-13

I had great service while getting the oil and filter changed on my car. The complimentary shuttle was great and Tim Mettille and the staff were very helpful!!!

Ron J. | 2015-01-09

I brought my A4 in for service and a minor repair and it was a great experience for me. Tony Prusak was very helpful and knowledgeable. The car was ready when it was supposed to be and all work was done as promised and the car was washed, as well. I have not had a bad experience at Fletcher Jones Audi.

Michael B. | 2015-01-05

It was great working with Jason Olexa. He found just the car I was looking for.

joshua l. | 2015-01-02

It was end of year/end of the month.  Worked money off of invoice price on a new car, and pushed for TOP KBB trade-in value, on the trade.  That's a fair deal in my book!

Martin L. | 2015-01-01

Tim was professional, a gentleman and went out of his way to get all of the issues with my car taken care of.

Pamela D. | 2014-12-30

My experience was incredible with the staff at Fletcher Jones!!

Marco S. | 2014-12-29

Very good experience. We were satisfied back in 2012 when we bought our car from them, and we came back to replace it now. They helped us finding exactly the options and colors we wanted, even if this meant to source the car from other dealers.

Julia R. | 2014-12-19

Always a welcome greeting, excellent service & a great wash.
Keep up the fine work all.

Bill R.  Chicago, IL

Keith S. | 2014-12-18

Melinda was super knowledgeable and very friendly.  She really listened and  understood what our needs were and was able to get us in the right vehicle.  She promptly responded to all our inquires and followed up quickly.

Tim M. | 2014-12-17

Extremely well organized, courteous and reliable.  They have clearly given a lot of thought to "the customer experience."

Melissa B. | 2014-12-12

Amazing service across the board.  From purchasing, to service & roadside service was outstanding.  Thank you for making car buying and owning a pleasure.

PT A. | 2014-12-11

Dan Flood and his team are great - my wife and I had a great buying experience and would recommend anyone interested in an Audi to contact Dan's team (and get a technology lesson from Jack!).

Myrna M. | 2014-12-08

Fabulous dealings with top notch professionals that know the car and help you select the right one for your needs!  And the best part is that we love our new Audi. From the time we walked in the first time to the day we drove out with our new car, everything was wonderful.

Shumin L. | 2014-12-05

I have been there two time, the people work there were so nice. They explain and taken good care of my boyfriend car. All the people works there were so kind and nice it make me feel so comfortable when I get there. Everything was good thanks fletcher Jonesb audi

John E. | 2014-12-05

Excellent service, quickly greeted upon arrival, described repair needed and throughly answered questions.  Service was completed earlier then estimated and upon completion, Tim the service rep, went through the bill in detail satisfactorily answering the questions I had. As an extra benefit car was thoroughly cleaned and washed. Quite happy with our Audi and the service Fletcher Jones provides.

Bob G. | 2014-12-03

Fast easy.  Dropped off and picked up right on schedule.

Gale G. | 2014-12-02

We have had very good service with John the manager and James Dudczyk.  We own two Audi vehicles and they have taken good care of us in the service department.
Arranging a loaner was a bit tricky when I arrived they had cars that were not returned yet they offered to make other arrangements.  All was good!

Jean-Manuel N. | 2014-12-02

Great communication, valued my time, I am satisfied.

Eden L. | 2014-12-01

Very fast and very courteous.  Great experience

jeff f. | 2014-11-30

Fantastic dealership. John the finance manage is a upstanding and honest person to do business with. A few other Chicagoland Audi dealerships lied to me and this dealership hid nothing from me. Thanks for having great ethical business practice. You've made a customer for life.  And I'll tell all my friends.

Trish P. | 2014-11-30

Always GREAT service at Fletcher Jones!! Everyone is friendly and accommodating. Love being treated nicely...it's nice to be nice! Thanks Fletcher Jones -- keep up the great work. Love my Audi. Sincerely, Customer for Life!

Natalie G. | 2014-11-29

Melinda was awesome; positive, knowledgeable, and patient.  Getting a new car is fun of course, but she made it even better.

Jessica R. | 2014-11-25

Took my car in for regularly scheduled maintenance. As always, received fantastic service. Service advisor kept me informed throughout the day, which was very helpful in planning the pickup of my car. High level of professionalism shown by all members of staff at the dealership. A+

Edmond D. | 2014-11-23

This rating is for their service department. Their shuttle service gets something else.

Every time I take my Q5  in for service, everyone in the service department  shows professionalism, courtesy, friendliness. They never try to sell me any other service I didn't ask for.  Definitely will be coming here for any service I need for my car.

However, I want to give ONE STAR to the courtesy shuttle.  I called them at 4:30 pm to pick me up at 5:15 pm at work. When I called back at 5:25 pm to see where the shuttle was, the guy said, "oops, we forgot. We will send him right away" My work is 10 min away from the dealership during rush hour. At 5:45pm I called back to see where the driver is, and all the guy said on the phone was he's on his way. At 6pm, I ended up calling uber and I got picked up right away. The guy guy scheduling the shuttle finally called me at 6:01 to tell me the driver has arrived. I told him I found my own ride, and then his voice changed to something like he's pissed I got my own ride. Maybe next time the shuttle could be on time, and I won't call my own ride. Some courtesy.

Pj R. | 2014-11-22

This was the 2nd car I've purchased at FJ. And, I'm happy about it. With two visits (one to order the car, one to pick up the car), I was treated well with a very high level of responsiveness in between. Emails on the status of the order were returned promptly and with great detail to what was going on. The delivery was handled very well. While I'm always a little queasy at dropping that amount of money all at once, the salespeople (Tim and Jack), were awesome in taking the time to make the experience great. Also happy that the finance guy made the experience straight forward and simple.

Alex B. | 2014-11-21

Review of the sales dept.  Mike Ludwick is the man.  Great buying experience with zero pressure and a laid-back approach.  He answered all my questions, went to battle for the best price and followed up on a couple small items after the sale.  Really pleased with the experience at Fletcher Jones.  Go see Mike, he will take good care of you.

Erika P. | 2014-11-21

I just had my Audi A3 serviced at Fletcher Jones. It was time for maintenance and the washer fluid wasn't spraying onto the windshield.

Based on some previous reviews and rumors, I admit, I wondered if the service would be mediocre. But, thankfully, it wasn't. It was a fantastic experience.

Not only was it fantastic; I was genuinely impressed with the entire process from beginning to end. My service rep was Jon Ralis, and he was professional, friendly, detail-oriented, and communicative. He got my car in right away, he kept me informed the entire time, and he made sure I had an immediate shuttle ride back to the office so that I didn't miss my meeting. They figured out the problem with the washer fluid and resolved it, and then Jon checked with me the day after to make sure it was still working. And then later a different rep from Audi Service called to make sure I was happy and wanting to know if there were any areas for improvement...which there weren't.

Whatever headaches people in the past must have had -- it's clear that Fletcher Jones Audi is absolutely trying to make the whole process smooth and painless. Again, I just have to say that I was really impressed.

I'll definitely go back. I'll definitely ask for Jon Ralis. And I'm sure that my car will be properly serviced. 5 stars all the way.

Robinson R. | 2014-11-17

Love bringing my vehicles here because James Dudczyk has consistently gone above and beyond in ensuring that I am well informed and satisfied with the services performed on my A4 and S4.You have a loyal customer here and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else for service or repairs.

Asher M. | 2014-11-12

I have always had fantastic service here! I have repeatedly been helped by Tony Prusak and he is incredibly helpful. I've been in to drop off my boss's Audi car and have always been able to get back to the office either through using their shuttle service (always friendly drivers) or by using their rental service. Pretty much anything I asked for, they are ready to supply me with.
Their waiting room is my new happy place - containing awesome coffee and pastries.
I'm sure I will be bringing returning business there, and look forward to it!

David S. | 2014-11-05

I'm very impressed with the service department at Fletcher Jones Audi. My service advisor William Gonzalez was very thorough and courteous. The vehicle service was done in a timely manner and he kept me informed throughout the repair. I would recommend them anytime. Thanks guys!

davia c. | 2014-11-01

I had a great experience as a first time Audi driver! Bill was wonderful answering all my questions from beginning to end and making sure I had exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend Bill at Fletcher Jones Audi.

Julia W. | 2014-10-29

Service was easy.  Dropped off my car, waited maybe 10 minutes for a "shuttle" to take me back to work, and was picked up just under a couple hours later by shuttle again and back to my car.  No cost, and very little hassle.  Thank you!

Toby M. | 2014-10-28

I had the opportunity to work with Danny Turcinovic through an online inquiry I submitted for the Audi Q5.  Danny was very dedicated and helpful in providing me answers to my questions as it related to vehicle pricing, availability, finance and lease options.  His timeliness to respond was very professional and very much appreciated.

Debbie S. | 2014-10-26

Fletcher Jones Service Dept is the best service I've ever had from a dealership.

Shane M. | 2014-10-21

While I was never able to come into the dealership in person due to time constraints and eventually pushed my purchase off until Spring 2015, Danny Turcinovic has been an outstanding Fletcher Jones Audi representative. While other dealerships resorted to sending me canned automated messages to check on my continued interest, Danny sent several personalized messages illustrating is dedication to customer satisfaction. When I renew my new car search, I will definitely be sure to visit Danny first.

Kelly T. | 2014-10-17

Completely customer oriented approach.  From the speedy response when I drive in to the regular communication to the fast pick-up process.   Best service experiences I have had at any dealership.

Richard T. | 2014-10-12

John was continuously informative about what had to be done.  He also has a fine personal style.  The loner did its job.  The repairs were necessary and the car runs well.

Like the ad  for something else says, I feel that I am in good hands at this service center.

H N. | 2014-10-11

Second time in 8 years I have tried to buy a car from fletcher jones downtown - got insulted a second time . If you are female recommend not going to this dealership . Down right dismissive and rude .

Kevin C. | 2014-10-11

Outstanding service.  Ask for Tim Mettille when bringing in your Audi for service.  I am a longstanding customer and have only experienced the best of service from Tim.

Sabin W. | 2014-10-08

This would be our fourth Audi and the first one purchased through Fletcher Jones. Terrence and the team at Fletcher Jones Audi really went the distance for our business. We are extremely satisfied with our purchase and will definitely recommend their dealership to our friends and family.

Bridget R. | 2014-10-02

I brought my baby A5 in for its first service and had a great experience. Tim was fantastic, despite the fact that I was late and did not have my act together at all. He was very patient and helpful and worked with me to have my updated insurance card emailed so I could pick up a loaner.

When I picked up my car, I got a Starbuck's card, because I waited a bit while they washed it. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and I ran into my wonderful sales associate Lainie and had a nice chat!

Scott C. | 2014-09-29

I have been looking for a new A6 to replace my C300.  I had arranged to meet a salesperson this past Saturday afternoon (9/27).

I arrived at the dealership.  The receptionist was on the phone and never looked up. 3 sales people were standing behind her tapping on their phones.  Not a single one of them looked up and asked if they could help me.  I walked around the showroom looking at the vehicles.  Several sales people buzzed by.  Not a single word from any of them.  After about a half hour.  I was done.  Unfortunately I view this as the beginning of a relationship.

For some reason I have this thing about begging commissioned sales people to help me with the purchase of a vehicle.

Nina B. | 2014-09-27

I have been coming to fletcher jones for service for 4 years. They are a top notch group. The service is consistently top quality. I always work with Jon R and he us the best. Pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. He isn't pushy but he is clear on what needs to get done. Highly recommend.

Kevin N. | 2014-09-18

I've always been hesitant about having service work done at a dealership if my car was out of warranty.  Fletcher Jones Audi and my Service Advisor, James Dudczyk have restored my trust. The level and ease of communication is outstanding!

I've had my car in on three separate occasions. Each experience was fantastic! James has gone over and above to take care of me from the minute I pulled into the service area to the second I picked up my car to head home.

When the time comes for another Audi Fletcher Jones and James Dudczyk have my business!

Ryan K. | 2014-09-16

My fiancé and I recently purchased a new car from Terrence Alexander at Fletcher Jones.   The patience, willingness to work with us to find the right car and package we were comfortable with, and overall. Professionalism we experienced was top notch.  We are first  time car buyers and feel as if we not only got the right car for us, but we have piece of mind knowing we have the right financing, pricing, etc because Terrence took the time to talk us through everything over the course of a few days and made sure we were 100% confident before buying the car.  He was knowledgeable, honest, and eager to help.

I would recommend working with Fletcher Jones, specifically Terrence Alexander,  in looking for a new car.  We visited a number of other dealers and found the experience there was the best and the pricing was on par with the other audi dealers we went to.  The location is extremely convenient living downtown.

Michael F. | 2014-09-07

I recently visited FJ Audi in order to purchase an S4. Working with Brian Hanson (please do ask for him, he follows through, is transparent and helpful) I was able to get a beautiful car at the price I wanted. He stayed in constant contact during the sales process, answering all of my questions and concerns.

One thing I truly appreciate in any sales person is honesty and accountability; at one point I had arranged for a test drive and the car was not available when I arrived at the dealership. Brian took full responsibility for the hiccup and took extra care to make sure the remainder of my experience was a great one. Brian let me know when the car arrived, sent me pictures of unwrapping, and helped me get out of the door in a quick fashion. As I was in a rush when I first received my car, Brian arranged for a second detailing for no additional charge. Would happily work with him again.

Furthermore, the service team has since been equally as responsive. One thing I recommend is to get the wheel and tire package, which covers any damage to stock (and aftermarket) wheels and tires. Not long after I bought my car, I got some curb rash on my passenger side wheels from parallel parking. I brought the car in, and the wheels were looking like new on the same day for no charge. Furthermore, the team hand washed my S4 when they serviced it.

Chrisanne W. | 2014-08-31

My experience purchasing my 2015 Audi Q5 from Brian Hanson of Fletcher Jones went perfectly and was so enjoyable. This highly capable salesman deserves to be noticed and recognized. He worked hard, communicated well and was over-the-top in customer service. In addition, his logic, problem-solving, knowledge of both car sales and the cars themselves added immensely to his already outstanding people skills.

I conducted all negotiations for purchase and trade-in over the phone and met Brian for the first time when I finalized the purchase with payment.

Brian went out of his way to accommodate our unique needs. My husband was unable to travel to the dealership due to a recent surgery. Brian drove 90 minutes from Chicago to our northwestern suburb (and back) so that my husband could not only sign the necessary paperwork for the car to be titled to both of us but so my husband could also be shown the car's features and how-to's by Brian.

I'm a car guy and really feel good about dealing with Fletcher Jones Audi.  I have had my fair share of Audis: A4, first generation TT, second generation TT, and now a Q5.  Two of the four were purchased at FJ, and all of them have been serviced here.  Fletcher Jones knows how to treat their customers, and compared to other dealerships in the area (ahem Perillo BMW), I have always walked away feeling like I was treated fairly which unfortunately is hard to find when it comes to a car dealership.

Nina H. | 2014-08-08

Well it turns out that JF Audi actually reads their reviews. Received a call from a salesperson who apologized for my bad experience and offered polite assistance. He has been attentive and responsive to my inquiry - thank you for redeeming yourself, FJ Audi.

Nick V. | 2014-08-02

We had our Q5 serviced for its 15,000 mile checkup. The service was efficient and friendly. We dropped the car off at 7:30am and they quickly checked us in and provided a shuttle service to work. When the car was ready the sent a text message and it was ready to go. They cleaned and vacuumed the car which  was a nice bonus.

Steve Z. | 2014-07-28

If your looking for a bad deal go see Omar at fletcher jones audi. Guy told me car was in excellent condition and he would reimburst my cab ride for coming out to look at the vehicle as I was ready to buy as described.soon as I walked thru the door he said he cld cut me a check for the 60 dollar cab fair once we take car for a ride. I didn't even buy an Audi, but I am writing this review because the customer service is fantastic. I worked with Melinda, who was very helpful and charismatic. She went out of her way to help my wife and I in the car buying process. I will certainly consider them again in the future.

Impeccable service, they always make everything convenient!

I recently purchased a vehicle from Fletcher Jones Audi and had an extremely positive experience. The employees at this location are warm and attentive. Christopher Reid (Audi Brand Specialist) was incredibly helpful, patient, and really worked hard to help me select the right car to suit my taste and budget. Although I was indecisive and had tons of questions about the Audi brand (this is my first experience with a luxury make), I never felt pressured to make a decision nor did Christopher appear to grow tired of my queries. Additionally, Brett Anderson (Finance Manager) is probably one of the nicest finance guys you'll ever meet. I appreciate him not hard-selling any of the items that dealerships like to offer you during the closing process ("Why not purchase the scratch-resistant coating? How about dent protection??"). He simply presented the many options available, answered all of my questions, and made his recommendations (upon my request). I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle. I've had horrible experiences with other car dealerships, and this most recent one with Fletcher Jones Audi has more than made up for it. Thanks again, Christopher and Brett!

Great and fast service always. Since day one I bought the car from here I have been received awesome awesome service.

This is a review of Fletcher Jones' sales department from which we recently ordered a new car. We were admittedly skeptical about going to FJ initially after seeing its Yelp ratings, but since it was so close to home we figured it doesn't hurt to go in for at least a test drive. Well we've been pleasantly impressed ever since. Based on another Yelper's recommendation, we initially reached out to Brian Owen, who then directed us to work with Mike Ludwick. We're really glad we ended up with Mike - he's a former Michigander like us, very easy going, and we never felt any pressure from him. He patiently answered all of our questions, and was knowledgeable about not just the car but also financing due to his background working at a credit union prior to becoming a car salesman. Perhaps because he wasn't always a car salesman, Mike didn't come off as a "stereotypical" car salesman at all and we enjoyed that about him.

Even though we were impressed by our experience with Mike, we wanted a second opinion. After all we were worried about FJ's Yelp ratings, and so we did our homework and contacted multiple dealerships in the suburbs. Some car buying websites suggested working directly with the Internet Sales Manager of the respective dealership, so we tried that too.The more we spoke with other dealerships, the more we found ourselves leaning towards Mike and FJ. FJ's offer was fair and more importantly we were happy with our experience with Mike. At one point the dealership in Rockford gave us a better offer - the savings primarily coming from the slightly lower sales tax rate outside of the collar counties - but they were so rude that we decided to take our money elsewhere. At that point we were only talking about a couple hundred bucks difference and it just wasn't worth the drama. Call us crazy, but we'd like to be treated nicely when we spend a handsome chunk of money on a new car. It also feels good to give the business to someone like Mike who was willing to invest his time in us.

Since we custom ordered our car, it took a couple of months for it to get delivered, but the wait time was very reasonable. In reading some Audi forums, I realized that some folks that were ordering their car (elsewhere in the country) only 1 week after us ended up getting their cars 1 month after we did. We later found out that Mike and his managers tried to order a car that was already in pre-production and that helped cut down the wait time significantly - something that we didn't even ask for when we first made our order (and wouldn't have known to) but are very thankful they did. Mike was also very responsive throughout that 2-month wait period, answering any questions that we come up with, and providing us with frequent updates on the status.

When it finally came time to pick up the car, the process did take a little longer than expected, but Mike was very patient in walking us through all of the features of the car. For financing we worked with John Lim who is definitely a little bit more salesy, but he worked hard to get us a really good deal and we had a good time bantering.

We love our new Audi and are very happy with our experience with Mike and at FJ. We've not had to go back for service yet and will likely write a separate review of that experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Mike to anyone who's in the market for an Audi.

Many people dread the entire car buying experience and most have a good reason.  After buying my first Audi at Fletcher Jones, my perception of the sales and customer service within the car buying industry has changed for the positive.

For once, I worked with a true professional on the sales side!  My sales associate, Melinda, not only knew her product (for every model I sat in), but she knew how they compared to competitive brands.  Some car salespeople sell cars as a stop to their next job.  Melinda has been in the car industry for many years and has worked for Audi's competitors.  Whether it is engine details or quality of specific components, she has an answer and knows what would be best for you.  What impressed me was her bluntness about saying, "I like this aspect of a competitor but this about Audi."  She knows the Audi product sells itself and is not afraid to give complete information and education to a prospective buyer.

I had the opportunity to not only meet Melinda but a straight-forward finance manager, Brett.  When I was negotiating final prices and options, Melinda stayed with me.  She did not throw me to the wolves and let me fend for myself.  She had no problem jumping in mid-sentence while the finance manager was speaking and saying, "We don't need that" or "Let's do x instead."

At the end of the day, buying a car is not only about the car you get.  It is about the total package including maintenance, customer service, accessibility, and being reasonable.  I felt like I wanted to come back to the dealership specifically if something went wrong.  I felt like I would get honest answers and honest treatment.  Only time will tell if they can continue to deliver this kind of service.

I came into the dealership not intending to purchase a car.  I was there merely to compare Audi with BMW and Mercedes.  I left purchasing an Audi TT Roadster because the car felt right and I was comfortable dealing with Melinda and Brett professionally.  If the professional aspect had not been there, I would not have purchased the car.  Being in sales myself, I know that who you work with determines everything.  If you purchase an Audi, specifically ask for Melinda.  No one else who works there comes from where these cars are made and no one there has spent most of their professional life working within the industry for competitor companies.

This is a Two part Review:
1: SERVICE: Couple of  months ago, My car showed a check engine light couple of days ago and it was driving funny. I called the store was connected to JON R  in Audi service. He recommended me to come in  right away and said not to worry about the appointment. After I pulled in, I was greeted. I met Jon. After few minutes Jon came up with the good news that nothing major happened and told me that everything is covered under warranty. and I can take my car home today. Even though it was a Saturday they squeezed me in  were really  helpful.  I would definitely get my car serviced here again,

2. SALES  While I was waiting for my car at service , I met MARC T. I told him i was waiting for  service. We started talking to each other and after couple of minutes of talking, I found him very knowledgeable, composed and confident.  I was really impressed. Fast forwarding to this weekend. I was looking to change my car and I called Marc and we scheduled a time to meet. After narrowing down the car  and seeing the numbers I told Marc that i will sleep over it and connect with him after the weekend. He respected my decision and did not force me or pressurize me at all. After I had made the decision, I reached out to Marc and everything went smoothly. Not a usual car buying experience. Everybody was helpful from Brian the assistant Manager to Niko the GM and even Brett  the finance Manager was remarkable and thorough . I really liked the experience and would definitely recommend MARC T. Thank you FJAUDI Team.

My A4 is getting up in years and it had been several since I had it serviced at Fletcher Jones. There was a recall on ignition coils and when my mechanic did the work he apparently only replaced one and there are four. Sudden problem during an already hectic week.

I'll admit that many years ago I wasn't always very happy with the service, but this was a totally different experience.  The car was shaking so we drove it straight over to Fletcher. They took us in immediately with no appointment! Jon Ralis couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, and fun to work with. He accurately assessed the situation, told us how long the repairs would take and what our options were. We decided to wait and went off to have lunch while they made the repairs. He gave provided us with updates while we waited. The car was finished, washed and ready to go in an hour and a half. No questions on the recall items -- the repair was free (I had to pay a portion when I took it to my own mechanic and he apparently didn't do the whole job). Should have brought it straight to Fletcher in the first place!

Not two weeks later I walked out of an errand to find that the car wouldn't turn over. I called Jon directly and he hooked me up with a towing service and again took the car right away. He was great to work with again and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure, if getting stranded in the middle of town ever could be. I can't say enough about Jon and the fantastic service I got from the time I called until I drove away in my sparkling clean car.

I purchased my new A3 via internet sales and worked with Bill Wierenga. I had several questions and Bill was always quick to respond to me. I had the car shipped to my home and it arrived earlier than expected and there were no issues with shipping. I'm very pleased with my experience at FJ.

Melissa S. | 2014-05-19

Leased my new baby here, a beautiful diesel Q5.  I haven't been this in love with my car since the first one I ever owned.  They are going to have to fight me for it when the lease is up, haha!  (Eh, who am I kidding I will just be getting a new Q5 at that point.)  The sales process was smooth and seamless, and I didn't feel any of that annoying BUY IT NOW pressure you sometimes get.  Everyone was friendly.  When my lease is up and it's time to trade it in for something new, I will surely be getting another car from them.  Convenient location, nice new swanky building, friendly salespeople.

Added bonus - my toddler is just as obsessed as I am with the panoramic sunroof on my car and is loving her new view when we drive around town.

This review is based on the Service Department.  I purchased a previously owned 2009 Audi from Carmax in Schaumburg, IL in 2011.  For the past 3 years I has been servicing my car at the Schaumburg Audi location.  Although I live in the city, I would take the trip out to the burbs because they had been servicing my car and I just wasn't ready for a change until this past weekend when I needed to replace my rear reverse light.  The Audi dealership in Schaumburg relocated within the past year, and since then, the service center has not been the same.  No follow-up on scheduled service and the last time my car was in for the routine maintenance and a replacement front headlight,  it turned out I needed a replacement connector for a headlight and this process took about 2 weeks before my car was ready.  This is not really a complaint, since I was given a loaner, however I just wouldn't expect things to take such a long time to resolve.

This past weekend, I decided to give Fletcher Jones a try and I am glad I did.  I booked my service appointment online, and received a call immediately to confirm my appointment.  They called again the day before to confirm, which in my opinion is great customer service.  When I pulled into the service station, I was greeted by friendly staff and John was my technician for this particular visit.  I will definitely ask for him again and now consider myself part of the Fletcher Jones "club".  I mentioned that my 2009 Audi A4 was consuming a lot of oil and the light was indicating low oil, and this was taken care of as a goodwill service, an expense that would have cost me about $400!  I can not express what a relief it was to have this corrected as I had been purchasing oil about every 2-3K miles.  I plan to visit and ask for John on my next visit and when I'm ready for a new vehicle, I will definitely bring my negotiating skills to Fletcher. They have earned a new customer and the experience was worth yelping!

Had a great experience with Brian Hanson while trading in and purchasing a Q5! Definitely recommend talking to him if you are looking into an Audi. Very knowledgable and made the process very smooth and quick!

Bought a new A6 last month and had an excellent experience at Fletcher Jones.

Worked with Jack Broder who showed tremendous patience -especially since my first test drive was almost a year before I finally bought the car. During that time, never felt any pressure, only patience and collaboration. Jack is a funny guy, easy to talk to, very direct and refreshingly honest.

More than anything, I was struck by the knowledge and passion that Jack had for the Audi brand. He seemed genuinely thrilled to show me features, tech and performance of the A6. Test drives felt like more like a couple car guys having fun. When I finally took delivery, I was again impressed with how much time he took to walk me through the many features of the car - telling me to stop by or call any time with questions.

The location is nice, the finance team was very efficient and easy to work with. No issues. Have not yet visited service, so can't offer any opinions there. But my sales experience was excellent and I'm very happy with the car and the price paid.

Fletcher Jones is the BEST name in the auto industry.  The purpose of the dealerships is 100% Customer Satisfaction. Audi made a wise decision to have Fletcher represent their superb cars.( I am a repeat customer of Fletcher)...Of course, I did my shopping at other dealers in the area, an absolute must for me..  Then, I went to Fletcher Audi...The salesperson, Lainie S.  introduced herself to me. I enjoyed her enthusiasm, friendly demeanor, as well as her love for Audi. It was my pleasure buying my New Car from her. During my time there, I was introduced to Sales Manager Brian O., and the General Manger, Niko.
Great Guy's for certain. I enjoyed the fact that they made me feel as though I was the only customer in the store, ( this place is very, very busy ).  Cool talking with them, each giving me their business card. Then both very appreciative of making the sale and letting me know, they will always be there to take care of any concern.
Then Lainie took her time showing me where all the controls were and how to work them. She too gave me her card, thanked me several times............A few more details:

I read an article approximately one and a half years ago from Car and Driver magazine; the article about 2015 cars to wait for.....The 2015 Audi A 3 was at the top of the list!!  The "seed" was planted for my next New Car......I loved the previous Audi I owned.  German Cars are pure joy. Audi is my favorite for more reasons than I can list here. The Quattro AWD drive feels as though your driving on dry pavement during the severe amounts of snow that Chicago winter's often bring. I love the feeling of security and safety that Audi's Quattro provides.

The Audi A3 Sedan is the best luxury compact sedan I have ever driven..A blast to drive fast my favorite, but a nice ride for relaxing drives as well.  Please ask for Lainie and go for a test drive.  Have fun and enjoy........

A friend had taken her Audi A5 for service at Fletcher Jones.  Jon was her rep and he took amazing care of her.  She was thrilled and mentioned I should consider looking at Fletcher Jones again.  In the past I have bought a 2002 A4, 2004 TT, 2008 VW Eos from Fletcher Jones but wasn't that impressed with the sales team those years after.  They were a bit unapproachable...which shouldn't it be they approach me?

I tested the waters bringing my mother's A8 in for servicing.  I must say...complete ease in scheduling the appointment and outstanding communication & follow up.  Based on my experience with the service department...I ventured onto the show room on Saturday.  Originally, my I was intent on buying a CPO Allroad.  I spoke with Bill W (sales) and he reviewed the upcoming inventory of CPO Allroads.  He did not know of pricing yet but said they would be coming in the following week.

Then I saw a 2014 Lava Grey Q5 on the floor.  We talked a little bit about the options, inventory and then numbers. Took the weekend to work through some things and on Monday Bill & I emailed back and forth a little.  They were able to come up on my trade in (2012 Mini Cooper Countryman ALL4) and down a little on the Q4.  I took delivery last evening.  Bill went through EVERYTHING on the car.  Syncing my phone and garage door openers.  Programming the presets for the radio/sat.  Programming so the mirrors turn in every time I turn the car off.  Very thorough.

I was planning on paying for a portion and had arranged financing through a bank (2.24%) for the remaining portion (check ready...so like cash).    Then I met John in finance.  John said with "your credit I can beat the 2.24%" and got me 1.7%.  He was very thorough as well.

The entire car purchasing process was really painless and stress free.  The whole 'negotiation process" was more a conversation and I felt like Fletcher Jones was trying to earn my business....and they did.

P N. | 2014-04-15

This is my first review because I feel a responsibility to share my experience as I should have done my due diligence before going to Fletcher.

Having recently moved back to Chicago, I took my Audi in to Fletcher for an estimate relating to an engine light going on. The repair estimate seemed so high that I decided to get a second opinion.  When I went to pick up my car, they were too busy to check me out so we just left after paying a diagnostic fee.   After driving the car to the next service place, I noticed that the car had damaage on both bumpers as well as a  car ding.  I called Fletcher and asked if any damage had been noted on the check-in that I had somehow missed.  The rep said she would check my file.  She called back some time later, saying she had checked my file, and that no damage had been noted and for me to send photos of the damage.  After I sent the photos to Fletcher at their request, Fletcher sent me a fabricated check-in page showing damage there upon check-in.  So, that's how they roll.  Fortunately, my insurer chose to pay to repair the damage given the circumstances.

I love my Audis and have had great service for 11 years at Audi service centers in the three other cities.  It's unfortunate for Audi that Fletcher taints the brand. I took my Audi to Audi Exchange in Highland Park, and they did a nice job.

If I can save someone from the same experience through this review, that will be the only good thing about my visit to Fletcher.

James H. | 2014-04-14

FJ was the only Audi dealer in the Chicagoland area that had the Q5 model with the extras we wanted so I submitted an online inquiry for a test drive and price quote (online price said Please Call). It was submitted on a Sunday and I received a response Monday morning from their sales manager introducing me to Joseph Ghandour. Joseph immediately followed up asking when I could stop in for a test drive so I scheduled it for the following weekend. However, before I could meet with him I learned my fiancé's coworker's dad owns an Audi dealership so we ordered the Q5 from him. So although I never had the chance to meet with the FJ team, their response time was excellent.

Reading though some of these reviews by  people with axes to grind makes me smile a little.  Yelp is loaded up with entitled folks that love to complain about, well, everything.

My experience -

Walked in on a Monday morning to look at a new car.  Was greeted by Chris, who explained a few things about the car that I hadn't read online, including options that I didn't know existed.  Came back for a test drive with Lainie later and loved it.  Sat down with her for a fairly quick negotiation and settled on a price to consider.  Did some research and found that the price was in line with what dealerships across the country were giving on the same optioned car.  I made a  buying decision, and came back to buy it from Chris.  In and out quickly with only a small snafu with the interest rate.  There is room for the dealer to make money with a small bump in the interest rate and while I can't blame them for trying, I wasn't paying more.  Was satisfied by the finance manager and drove the awesome car out an hour later after a tire swap and a thorough "walk thru" by Chris on the features and operation of the vehicle.

Service.  I had to go back for a wiring issue that was handled quickly, then brought it back for my 5,000 mile service (free), and to fix a tire that I ran over a construction nail with.  Set me up with a new set of tires based on not having stock of the standard tire and took good care of me there.  Next day, I day I hit a pothole that blew out another tire and had to come back.  The tire was back-ordered for a few days but I had a loaner for me right away.  I have dealt with a few different service technicians and had good service from all of them except for a small problem with loaner availability on my service appointment.  Initially, this was frustrating to me, but FJ Audi made things right in the end.

Overall, a great dealership with good service and employees.  Will be back!

If you are going to buy a car from FJ Audi, You need only see Chuck. He is probably the most passionate Audi lover out there. Knows a ton about the product, and actually values his clients.

This is the second Audi I have bought from him, and intend on making additional purchases in the future (as long as they are from him).

Had an issue with there accounting/finance area. If you do a transaction with them, or make a request, You have to stay on top of them to get things done.

4.5 out of 5.

4 Audi's in the last 10 years! I have been a customer of Fletcher Jones for about six years having purchased an Audi Q7 and an A7 from them.

Among sales people I really like Tim E. Personable, pleasant, fun and interesting to talk to. Not pushy. Far away from "car salesperson" stereotype. kinda guy you'd enjoy having a beer with. Highly recommended.

Service department. I like Adam very much.

now, how about that R8?

I had a fantastic experience last week with the sales and finance teams at Fletcher Jones Audi.  Tim in Sales was extremely helpful and accommodating - I usually prepare to do battle with car sales folk, but I didn't even have to: he listened to my concerns, responded quickly and by my preferred means of communication, made himself available when I needed him and above all, he got me exactly the car I wanted with no drama or haggling.  John in the finance department was equally helpful and worked to get me an amazing deal.  Thank you gents, I'm thrilled with my purchase!!

My review is for the Sales Dept.  I worked with Marc and Brian at Fletcher Jones Audio when I was trading in our Work Van for a family car.  Marc went out of his way to work with us in getting into the car that we set out to lease.  They are very patient and worked with us to make the deal happen.  To not sound like I am drinking any kool aid, car buying leasing / buying is stressful but dealing with Fletcher Jones Audi is why we keep coming back.  There is not 1 salesman that has treated us poorly and we look forward to work with Marc when we come back to lease our next car.

So far so good.  My husband and I have been car browsing for two years waiting for our VW to finally die out.  It did in the summer and we have been car less for 6 months in Chicago during one of the worst winters in decades.  Yesterday we decided to take the train to Fletcher Jones and check out the VW Eos and then ultimately make our way to Audi.  We met with a wonderful sales rep named Danny Turcinovic.  He was very informative of his product,  was open to negotiating with us, and ultimately found us a convertible to satisfy my midlife crisis and my husbands crave to own an Audi.  We expect to pick up the car in just over a week when it makes its way here from Germany.

The icing on the cake.  We spent more time with Danny than anticipated and realized that we were going to be late picking up our child from school,  Danny offered to drive us home himself.  Thank you Danny!

If there was only a way to give negative ratings... Well this place truly sucks from a service stand point. I was at the dealership In Jan 2014 for a regular 75K service for my 2006 A6. The service coordinator tried to convince me that along with regular service there is more 'absolutely essential' work  to be done. The price quoted was around 5K. I did not agree to most of them. After 4 days I picked up the car.  I drove a block to realize that they totally screwed up the power steering. I almost missed hitting a pedestrian while turning. I brought the car back in and they fixed it with after telling me it was a mistake. I complained about the experience via their after service coordinator but nothing happened.
Then today I was there again to get a flat tire replaced (yes I made a mistake to go back to them). They had confirmed last evening that they have the tire in stock and so did the service coordinator in the morning. After waiting for 2 hours he came and told me that the tire was not in stock. I told him this is not done and is very frustrating. He retorted back saying that he is also in the same boat and feels frustrated about the situation. I just walked away to save my sanity in a public place......

I have been torn on what exactly to write here.... First the good: They did fix my car (after crashing it) and it looks beautiful (I think they took it to an outside body shop). They also supplied me with a loaner car during the three and half weeks it took to get my car back.  The ladies who work the cashier area and the lady who signs out the loaner car are awesome.  Professional and kind.

That said, the whole ordeal was shady.  I usually go to another dealership, but it's been cold and snowy, so when two warning lights came on, I thought it would be easier to bring it to Fletcher.  James, the service manager, helped me.  He said it was a bad sensor., so I had them replace it--$400.  They had to order the part, but he said it would be ready Thursday.  Friday comes along and still no phone call.  So I call him and he says it's ready.  Great.  I leave the dealership, drive three blocks and the same two lights come back on.  I drive back and James said they will have to look at it. I did ask, in a joking manner, "What did I pay for, if the sensor wasn't really the issue?"

So, they give us a loaner and they look at it over the weekend.  He calls and tells me it's a problem with the passenger side seat belt and they are going to replace it on them. Okay, weird.  He said the seat belt is connected in with the warning lights that came on (parking brake and air bag).  Since I know almost nothing about cars, I accept that.  They fix it and I pick it up in the evening.

The next morning we notice that the front passenger side of my car has been crashed.  We can't figure out how or when that happened. It wasn't like that when I brought into Fletcher.  So, we bring it back, expecting a fight.  James actually didn't make a fuss--he said he would review their video and he gave us another loaner.

Now I can't say what really happened and yes, they fixed it, but the whole thing makes me completely distrust them.  I wonder if the seat belt issue occurred because someone crashed it at the dealership?  I don't really know if the airbag and parking brake issue was really fixed.  I just have to trust them, I guess?

The one star is also for customer service. The follow-up was poor.   I had to place several phone calls to service to find out when my car would be ready--even before it was crashed. I would have to listen to my voice mail from James again, but I don't recall getting an apology. Maybe they can't apologize for legal reasons?  But they could have said, I am so sorry this happened, and assure me it is not typical.  Or make sure I was happy with the work or thrown in a free oil change....or just said they hope I come back again?  James was there when I picked up the car the last time and he didn't come out and say anything to us. We left there feeling like they thought they did us a favor letting us borrow their car with the advertising on the side for two weeks. Hello!?!? You crashed my car!!!

I won't be back except in a moment of desperation, but I learned a lesson: Look over your entire car before you leave the garage.

I have enjoyed being a customer for years for servicing my cars and had purchased my last Audi here in 2012. I am leaving the country this spring for a few years and took advantage of the buy back program Audi offered at the end of 2013. I got a fair price for the car and was pleased with how easy it was to sell my it back.

Unfortunately, after my initial visit and sell back on December 26, it became difficult to obtain any status information on when I would receive my proceeds. I left several messages for information with my Rep but only got one call back with no real information other than it will take a few weeks to process. I was in no hurry at this point so I waited a few weeks and started to inquire again. My messages were not returned until January 29th when I learned I needed to follow up with the Accounting department.

I proceeded to work with Accounting and again had trouble with them returning my calls. When I did reach a live person though, they were very friendly and seemed helpful. They indicated on two occasions the check was waiting for signatures and should be in the mail in a few days.

After patiently waiting a total of ~ 1 1/2 months, on February 10, I contacted the General Manager for assistance and I received my check later that same day.

I was surprised by the level of service I received during this transaction and it has made me question if I will buy my next Audi from Fletcher Jones when I return.

My wife and I were visiting family and friends in Tinley Park and on our way back to Milwaukee we had braking issues.

Now this was my fault because I tried to get a few thousand more miles out of the recommended service advised for our A4. I did not want to take the chance driving 150 plus miles back home so I made a call to F.J. Audi in downtown Chicago.

I talked to Tony and he advised me to come in right away. My wife and I were greeted as soon as we came in and received nothing but professionalism. Turns out, all we needed was rear brakes and alignment.

I was skeptical at first because we have had issues with the local Audi dealership up in Milwaukee. Tony made this bad experience very easy and  has now received loyal customers for his prompt service and no hassle approach.

The free car wash was also a plus!

Thank you F.J. Audi!!!

Excellent Customer Service-Service Department
If you're getting your car serviced, James Dudczyk (service manager) is the man you want to deal with.  I was brought here to pick up my friend's Audi after being fixed, but due to a mix up (on my part), I realized I was at the wrong place. (Whoops). James was an absolute ALL-STAR trying to help me locate the car, went out of his way to get others at the dealership involved and ALL with a smile. He provided the best customer service I've ever had at a dealership.  He even gladly gave me a ride to the place where the car ended up being! Rock on, Audi.

Be very careful with this dealer. When they are taking trade-in, they are giving very low bowl. If you are going to finance through that dealer, they are trying all kind of tactics to push to higher rate without any serious reason - they've told to my son that as he is buying first car by himself his rate will be 2.5% higher regardless his score over 710.... I've called with complain on that and have not received a call back yet...

Jason B. | 2013-09-16

I purchased my A4 here...sales dept is only so-so.  The service department is better. Specifically William. He's pretty much awesome. Calls back quickly, and is very helpful. I'll bring my car here for service always.

LK H. | 2013-09-03

This is a classy dealership.  Great communication and there was no hassle when I scheduled service.  I am happy that I have everything under warranty.  I did not purchase my Audi here, but I was happy to refer a friend to them that just purchased the 2013 version of my 2010.  Great cars, friendly, attentive service.

Lawrence B. | 2013-08-31

I went in to Fletcher Jones Audi and was amazed by the level of service and professionalism.  I went in around 1pm, test drove a 2014 Q5 and then the negotiation game began.  Having done my research, i was pleasantly surprised at how it went.  I had meetings the rest of the day, and was able to negotiate/communicate with Bill W in sales the entire time.  They close at 8pm but they were very accommodating  and made sure all the necessary people were still there (even though it was after 8p) and the paperwork (what could be done in advance) was ready to go. John L. in finance made the finance part probably as simple and painless as it could be.

I've heard horror stories about dealerships before, but i definitely gotta say, the team at FJ Audi went above and beyond. i would definitely use again and would recommend to friends and family.  Thanks Bill & John!

Steph B. | 2013-07-09

This is literally the worst dealership I have ever had the misfortune to come across. I experienced both the sales and service side. I saw a car online that I was very interested in, a non-audi, used car hat Brian the sales guy had no issue telling me was not as profitable or as worth their time as new audi's were and  therefore they had to have a decision within a day or two. The car was not inspected properly before purchasing it and was in the service department within 2 days of me driving it off the lot. Once there, it took them 10 DAYS to fix an air conditioning problem, which they refused to pay for even though it should have been fixed before I left with the car. Finally, they submitted it under warranty and said they'd cover the $100. When I went to pick up the car 10 days later, they told me I'd be responsible for the $100 deductible (that they'd already promised to cover). After this AC issue popped up, I had the hardest time getting anyone to respond to me at all from the service department, let alone give me a timeline on the repair. I also requested the required by law inspection report that I have yet to see/receive. Then, they "politely" offered me a loaner after 5 days of having my car. The loaner happened to get a flat within a couple days of me driving it. They told me to call audi support and it would "all be covered". However, I just noticed a charge from Fletcher Joans on my credit card for $264....no authorization ever took place for the charge. They are deceitful, money hungry assholes. I will never, ever deal with them again and will certainly be reporting them to the BBB. I would give zero stars if possible.

I had a good experience when I purchased my A3 from FJ. However, it has been over one year and they still haven't provided the title to my car.  Title delays happen, but one year is way too long.  Also, I have been disappointed by their lack of attentiveness to the situation.  You go to dealerships so these types of things do not happen.

Maxx F. | 2013-06-26

Very disappointed in this dealership after what recently transpired. Brought my A4 in for a 45k mile service and asked them to check my bumper which had become slightly detached after clipping a curb. I wanted to know if it was an easy fix and cheap fix, if so they would call to let me know either way. I pickup my car at the end of the day to be told they cannot fix the bumper and that it would require a new bumper where the part cost $900. I said wow and decided to look elsewhere for the job to be done for cheaper. The first place I take it to in Lincoln Park (Milito's) agrees to look at it and says if they can fix up real quick it will be $48. In 20 minutes the bumper was good as new and they threw in a free car wash. Sleezy & lazy move Fletcher Jones Audi.

Hillary P. | 2013-06-07

Let me just start by saying if you have an Audi, you are going to have to pay for service eventually. If you want cheap ass service, by a cheap ass car. This place is some what of a cluster, but it is in one of the busiest parts of downtown and it is basically a parking garage with 2 car dealerships inside. Point being: it's going to be a pain in butt sometimes. I can only speak on the service aspect because I didn't purchase my car here. I always get wonderful service when I bring my car in and I feel like the guys in the service department listen to my complaints and are looking out for me. I've never felt taken advantage of or been ripped off. I never understand why people buy a car for 50 or 60k and get pissed because they have to spend a few hundred dollars on a repair. Buy a Hyundai or Kia and quit your bitching.

Jeff N. | 2013-06-04

SALES- Pariece Wilder was a delight to work with.  Very patient and knowledgeable.  I bought two cars from her.
FINANCE- Just okay.  They got you cornered on selecting most add-ons during closing.  If you say no, then you 'apparently' can't add it back later (except the Audi care).  One nice surprise is that they offered a lower rate on financing the second car, without me even asking for it.
SERVICE- So far, they seem confused and clumsy at communicating with each other and with the sales person.  And yes, I read the horrible reviews of service before I bought.  And I know people in the car repair business who have warned me about FJ.  But, I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now, but if they try to pull the stuff on me that they apparently have with others, I will be back here with a 1 star rating and details on my rant.
THE CARS- Bought an A5 and a Q7.  Love, love, love them.

Laura H. | 2013-06-04

I joined Yelp just to write a review about the charlatans at this service center.

I noticed that my 2006 A3 was driving with what felt like a flat tire, and I was concerned that I had dented a rim or busted an axle joint.

The car had been my mother's until two weeks prior when she gave it to me. Before handing it off she had a full service and inspection by her trusted dealer/service center in Minneapolis, with necessary repairs made.
I took the car in to the FJ Audi service center and was very clear and specific that the car had had a full service and inspection less than a month prior, and I was only interested in having the rim/axle inspected.

They called me less than two hours after dropping it off to inform me that I "needed" a new battery, set of tires, rim, alignment, and fluid flush- amounting to over $2,000 worth of repairs plus the cost of service ($300 for a battery plus the cost of installation?).  After confirming with my parents that the tires were less than 10K miles old and the car had been fully inspected and all fluids changed, I was naturally incensed at the up-selling.
I called William back and after explaining that I wasn't going to have a new set of tires put on, or fluids changed, he tried to manipulate me in to spending $300+ on a new battery and $600 on a new tire rim by saying he "wouldn't want me to get stranded alone somewhere."

I told him not to perform any repairs or service and I would be coming back for my car within the half hour (over my lunch break, in the middle of a work day).  Once I arrived and paid $169 for the diagnostic, he told me my car was ready and would be right out front, and to wait inside and he would get me momentarily... 35 minutes later I went back to the service center and he was nowhere to be found but my car was waiting and the greeter said "oh... it looks like he forgot to come get you..."

I will never come back here, and plan on going to Spotlight Automotive with my FJ Audi diagnosis in hand.  What a joke of an operation.

Jason C. | 2013-05-19

Good service department but shady sales and finance people. I would NEVER buy another Audi from Fletcher Jones. Schaumburg or McGrath are better on both accounts.

Fei W. | 2013-05-18

TL,DR version:  shamelessly shady up-sell on maintenance.

Brought my A4 here for its 25k service under AudiCare.  The service was fine and the shuttle was a nice touch, so why the F- review?  Their ridiculous attempt to up-sell me on $400 worth of extra "routine" service for a car that has barely hit 20k miles.

This is the 3rd dealership I've used to service my car, and the first one that tried to con me into extras.  Here's a tip, when the customer has AudiCare, it's insulting and denigrating to the Audi brand to try to convince them that they need extra "routine" maintenance.

At least pretend it's some one-off thing that might make sense to have been excluded.  Why the f*ck would Audi bother to offer a prepaid plan that covers all recommended maintenance and then say "just kidding, here's some other annual and bi-annual sh*t you've gotta pay extra for.  Got you good you f*cker."

Just to give them the extra benefit of the doubt, I called Audi Corporate to ask if flushing the Fuel Induction system and Power Steering fluid was something they recommended but didn't cover under their plans.  Not surprisingly, the answer is NO.  If it's recommended, it's part of the f*cking plan.

I refuse to accept that shady behavior should just be accepted as part of the deal.  But if you're going to be shady, make it more believable than the equivalent of a Nigerian Prince scam.  At least then maybe I could respect your effort.

After the warranty on my Mini Cooper was up, we stopped into Fletcher Jones Audi near closing time on a Saturday to check out their A3's and 4's. We were promptly greeted by Brandon after we requested to talk with a sales person. He couldn't have been any better to us. He answered all of our immediate questions about the two model types and then suggested we hop into an A4 for a test drive. Throughout the ride, he helped point out different features and addressed our questions as they arose. Needless to say, we fell in love with the test car and took our conversation back inside to look at their A4 inventory.

We settled on a particular A4 Prestige, which they brought over to us from a different lot, even after closing time. We finalized my trade-in and deal very quickly (they offered us the same trade-in price as Mini did) and we were out the door in the new car. We felt like Brandon was just as excited for us as if he were buying his own car. To allow both of us to part ways for the weekend, we set time to return on Monday for him to give us a thorough rundown of the various features. In between, he e-mailed a variety of videos on how the A4 works. He kindly sat with me that Monday after the fact to walk me through every single detail of the car, as well as its manuals. Brandon made our experience a wonderful one and I would recommend him to any future Audi shoppers.

I read some of the comments here about the costs for services and I had to wonder if this was the first time anyone had ever had their luxury vehicle serviced? This is what it costs to own and maintain a premium vehicle. They do offer a program called Audi Care, which helps to cover service. (This may appeal to BMW buyers who are used to worry-free maintenance.)

I bought my first Audi from Christopher Reid at Fletcher Jones.  From the first time I stepped into the dealership it was a positive, low pressure experience.  While I did not buy the SUV I originally went to see, when I came back about 4 weeks later to check out another model Chris was there to help me.

My overall experience at Fletcher Jones was great and Chris really made the process easy and I felt confident I was being treated fairly.

I am loving my new SUV and will definitely come back to Fletcher Jones Audi.  I recommend working with Christopher Reid.

Enrique G. | 2013-05-12

I recently bought my first Audi from this dealership and had a good experience. My 5 star review applies specifically to Pariece Wilder, the sales representative who helped me with this purchase. Pariece was very communicative and approachable from day one, and was able to discuss details of the purchase over the phone, accommodating my busy schedule, which was not the case with other dealerships . She kept me posted throughout the process of ordering my car and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience.

Ryan S. | 2013-05-09

This place is a bunch of crooks!  DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!  They over charge and take advantage of people that do not know about cars.  They will find things wrong for your car just to convince you that you need it fixed.  They tried to charge me $150.00 for an oil change!  You are better off finding a European auto shop to handle the car, they are more trustworthy and knowledgable anyways.

Justin G. | 2013-05-02

In the market for a new SUV and we had our eyes on the Q5. Went here first and had a great experience with their sales staff, both Jack and Doug, I would highly recommend. Great, knowledgeable, fun to talk with, good test drives. Took the time to show us what the car offered, various trims etc.

Then came time to narrow down to a model trim, and down payment. First and foremost, this was to be my wife's car - not mine - she was working at the time so I went in solo to check out what they had in stock after talking via e-mail on my way back from work. The finance person cornered me into a down payment and I refused. I was then told I HAD to put money down or the car was going to go and they couldn't give me a "good deal" and I continued to say no until I got the worst response "Does your wife need to be here for you to make a decision?" to which I responded , "I have my car already, this is my wife's new car, and I'd rather she pick the car, so my answer is no."

I promptly took my business elsewhere the next day and had a hassle free experience at a dealer in the north burbs. They lost a sale here from me I have only bought a few new cars so far in my life, and it is supposed to be fun for the most part!

Isaias M. | 2013-04-30

Gotta say thanks to chris for helping me figure out all the nice features on the S5. :)

Clinton K. | 2013-04-23

Probably the most offensive service treatment i have experienced.  my daughter brought our A4 in for routine service and to address two issues (the wipers, and the check engine light). she wanted to handle things herself, and they charged her $169 for EACH item to be looked at, plus $115 estimate for the oil change. My wife and i went through the roof on this.  when we called to complain, they said that all dealers charge for the evaluations, and that the evaluation involves a lot more than you'd think, and it doesn't really cost anything because they will credit the evaluation charges against the repairs, which they then gave her a list that exceeded $5000!. oh, and he said that the oil change had actually come in below the estimate, only $79, as if that was a reasonable amount.  I told him that no previous dealer we'd dealt with charges for routine repair estimates, let alone a separate charge for evaluating each "error code",  that all they did was plug the diagnostic computer into the car, and it reads whatever error codes result.
If you have no need for money, or like to brag about paying outrageous amounts for routine and/or unneeded service, even then, give your money to a charity rather than reward pirates like this place.

Jenna K. | 2013-04-13

I was going to give them 4 stars because they did run out of my favorite tea, but that seems silly.

I went to Fletcher Jones to service my car - actually, I've been several times since buying it in 2008 - and I'm always amazed at how nice everyone is and the fact they get my car so clean. I swear, it's worth it to service my car just so they'll vacuum all the baby crumbs from the seats. If you want to be treated like a royal in a hat, go here.

I wish I could respond to these hilarious negative reviews. Oh, you wanted the same payment for a domestic car as an Audi and you're mad it costs more so you . . . blame the sales guy? Or the person who got mad that the salesperson said they "didn't see a lot of those" - those being their trade-in car? WTF? Relax, people. No need to stab the internet with your life woes.

DV S. | 2013-04-04

Paul Bright & management: I visited Fletcher Jones to lease a new AudiQ5.  I said I was interested in test driving, and, after testing my auto-knowledge Paul informed me that it would be $800 to lease. When I informed him I could lease a Mercedes or Rover for a similar price - and that I had received a lower quote at a dealership in MI - Paul informed me that most people lease from those companies instead. Whereupon, after no test drive, he walked away to speak to the receptionist. Luckily the gentleman at Grossinger on Dayton were much friendlier & helpful - and I am now leasing a new Cadilac. Thank you Paul & his manager at Fletcher Audi for showing me that sleezy car salesmen still exist. Absolute worst customer experience; I have never taken time out of my day to write a negative review.

Erich S. | 2013-04-01

I was in the market for an Audi Q5 prestige, but had every intention at purchasing at another dealer (based upon interior/exterior in stock). However, the salesperson I dealt with (Matt) was very helpful and accommodating, so his knowledge and their willingness to be aggressive on pricing and trade-in (a high mileage, 2-yr old luxury sport coupe) sealed the deal.

It's not cheap, it's not economy - it's value, and they are always very friendly and classy when I go there - not sure why others have had bad experiences in that regard.

I do know that when I walk into a well-run dealership for any luxury vehicle, there's a common theme - salespeople who do not swarm and attack you like at an economy dealer - just understand that. And also understand that hundreds of folks go in there to ogle cars that they'll never buy.

If you are serious about buying a car, I doubt they'll ignore you or push you away.

Ashley B. | 2013-03-16

I have no complaints here. I've gone twice, once for service and the second time because after getting hit, all of my lights started going out in the following couple weeks. Neither prices were crazy and every time I went I was kept up to date with everything and estimates were never off. Not to mention, they dropped me off at work after I took the car and AND they washed it before I picked it up!

Marcelino C. | 2013-03-15

I wanted to take a moment and let everyone know about my experience at Fletcher Jones, particularly with Doug D. (My sales rep) and William at the service department.

My 2012 Audi was in for service for a while and I ended up wanting to upgrade to a more powerful car, while my car was being serviced William helped me in every way possible, put me in any loaner I asked for an made sure he updated me with as much info on my car as he could. After 12 days of my car being serviced I decided I just wanted a new car and thanked Will for his help, he has followed up with me since and is very professional.

While my car was being serviced I was interested in another vehicle so I approached Michael Ludwick (a sales rep) who did not take me seriously. I asked for him to give me quotes an follow up via email and he never did. In fact I overheard him telling another sales rep he deliberately blew me off. I don't even know how this guy has a job at fletcher jones, i was disgusted by how rude he was, So I ended speaking with a different rep, Doug.

Had it not been for Doug's sheer excellence in servicing a customer and wealth of knowledge about Audi and all of their vehicles, I don't know if I would have ended up getting a new Audi. He not only followed up well and was very timely in responding to my overwhelming amount of questions, but he went above and beyond and asked me to keep looking at other vehicles and test driving whatever I wanted until I felt comfortable with my decision. He made me feel like a friend and he cared about my choosing a car I would be happy with. I ended up with a 2013 S5 that was designed by Bill (another great sales rep). I couldn't be happier with Doug and the overall service I received from the Fletcher Jones team! Thanks for a great experience!

P.S. Work on that Mike guy, he's not so good! You need more like Doug!

Ismael M. | 2013-03-14

I was in the market for a small luxury SUV and visited many other dealerships.  I ended up with a Q5, but not from Fletcher Jones.

Negotiating with Fletcher Jones their "final offer" was $1500 more then what I ended up paying at another dealer.

They gave me an insultingly low offer on my trade in because it was an economy car, they laughed at me and said "we don't see a lot of those".  My income increased significantly over the past few years, I am not stupid and realize that I am going up a few tiers in automobile.

So if you want to pay more and be insulted while doing it, go to Fletcher Jones!

M S. | 2013-03-11

Caveat to this review: I did not buy an Audi, but a non-Audi used car that had been traded in.

Good location as you can test drive on LSD. Dealerships in burbs only allow you to cruise along surrounding neighborhood roads.

Personable, helpful sales rep (Alisa) and finance guy (John). Even though it wasn't an Audi, never felt like I was being looked down upon or judged in anyway. Did not feel pressured into buying anything extra...I had to ask about the extended warranties. Negotiated a great deal without hassle.

Overall a great experience, though I know it was a unique one given all of the other reviews on here. Will of course update if the car turns out to be a lemon, but pretty happy so far! Maybe they are trying to turn things around?

Jerry Z. | 2013-03-10

It's good to know that in this terrible economy some there is a business that doesn't need or want customers. I went yesterday to "purchase" a Q5 as I already did my comparative research about the vehicle.  I spent 20 minutes wandering around the showroom looking at all the vehicles, smiling and waiting to be approached for pricing. No one cared. A young man I passed on his phone was saying to a friend" I'm ready to buy but no one will help me".  As I gave up I decided to find a brochure to take home. The info counter person said they have none but I can look it up online. I figured if they can't spend an hour with me to sell the vehicle, or give me a handout, what will the SERVICE department be like. I went across the street to the BMW showroom and am  purchasing  a X3 from them as they did everything well and actually wanted customers.

Peter C. | 2013-01-09

I bought my car from this place early 2012 and had a good experience with the salesperson (Charles).  I have had it serviced once and they picked up my car and dropped it off seamlessly (thanks to Lynn).  The reason I am writing this review my seem silly to some but I think it is important to state.  When buying the car they said that they would wash the car anytime I wanted for as long as I owned the car.  I have taken advantage of this about 3 times since I have owned the car.  Unfortunately when I called today they said they were no longer providing this service due to facility constraint.  I'm not sure what this means and how long this will last (they didn't either) but I believe part of the reason a person buys a luxury vehicle and stays a loyal customer for life is partly for the great service and commitment the dealer has to the customer and is reflected in providing these types of services.  Pretty disappointing that they have gotten rid of this service with no notice to their customers.

2 Stars -  Why?   Audi Parts department was the shinning star.

It pains me to write less than a glorious review.

Why I would NOT recommend Audi service department after 2 years.
I tried and tried.    I can no longer justify it.

Here are the bullet points.

1)  Not very professional, proficient, efficient nor well vetted with basic car repair
2)  They never followed-up when they committed.  I did all the "chasing" and I do mean chase.
3)  My car was "repaired like new".   To my discovery a week later, it couldn't be further from the truth.

One week later my Audi A4 acted up again so I tried Audi Schaumburg.  Yes, way out there.  Not only did they FIX the problem but they showed me the OLD PARTS WERE STILL attached to my engine!  I was livid to say the least.  Fletcher never replaced the old parts I paid for.
How did Schaumburg Audi know?  By the deep score marks.  I had less than 100 miles after my so called repair from Fletcher.
Additionally I paid for an oil change.   Nope, never happened.  I was charged but never completed by Fletcher.   Old filter was still on my car as well. Oversight?

Schaumburg Audi not only rolled out the red carpet from moment "hello" but they offer excellent explanations for what was wrong with my car, 2 day loaner car, offered a solution that saved me over $957.00 AND they proved to me how the old parts were still in my car.

I guess I was to pitch in and also pay for Fletcher Jones showroom remodel bill. Lovely...

Their parts department at Fleter Jones is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above Fletchers service department.  Go figure.
In the two years I worked with the parts department, they were professional, quick, accurate, kind and I knew I could count on their expertise.
Service writers in the Audi department?   They have a poor attitude towards the customers as if they are doing us a favor.  I tolerated their behavior for 2 years due convenience of their location.  Also, their basic car repair knowledge was very lacking.  I should have asked for the manager.  Then again why prolong the pain.

Schaumburg service writers were very well trained, professional, patient and WANTED to help.  SOOOO refreshing.

I cannot recommend with good conscious Fletcher Audi service.  It's taken much patience of 2 years, total of 5 repairs/maintenance call (tune-up) within that time period and the final botched repair was the last straw that compelled me to write this review and never to return again.  Goodness knows, I TRIED!

The Yelp community has been a fantastic resource when looking for services.  Thank you, thank you and thank you.  Promise I would rate all experiences even if they are not glorious reviews because those are tough to write.   Who wants to write about "bad news"??    Anyway, giving back to the "Yelp" community.  *peace.

I went in a few weeks ago to start to look at some 2012 A4s.  I will agree with the reviews that it does take time for someone to find your on the showroom floor.  It was a bit surprising considering it is a very small showroom.  Finally I asked if someone could show me the pre-owned A4s and they called up a sales person.  Alex Z was my sales person.  We went up and looked at all the available cars as well as some others.  I gathered some information and we spoke and I told him I would be in contact since I was also looking at some other cars.

I showed up later that week, unannounced, and wanted to take a look at the cars again.  I looked at them and we ended up taking one for a test drive.  Sat down, started doing the whole negotiating dance, which is absurd.  I gave them a price that I felt was fair and at my budget.  Remember I was also looking at other cars and did not "need" an Audi.  About 45 min later after some back and forth he said he did not feel we could come to an agreement.  Again, no big deal to me I walked across the hall to the VW dealership and spoke to the salesman over there who was holding a car for me.  Here is the piece that irritated me.  While I was over there looking at a car, an Audi manager (not my salesman) comes over, sees me looking at a VW car and says some off the cuff comment and then walks away.  That alone almost made me walk out of ALL their dealerships.

Later I sent Alex Z an e-mail mentioning the incident.  After some more calls, he and I came to an agreement on price and some concessions for the A4.  Again it was used but in overall Good condition.

In all Alex Z was a great salesman and did want to make a deal.  We came to a $$ that I was comfortable with and obviously they were.  I would recommend Alex Z to others but just as any car buying experience, get comfortable.

If it wasn't for the off the cuff comment from a manager, I would have given Alex Z 5 stars.  But this is a review for the dealership and buying experience in total.

**Note:  I haven't had any service but should in the next 6 months.  We will see how that experience goes.

I just moved to Chicago and wasn't sure where to start looking for a new car/truck. I had a Lexus RX 350 and thought maybe I would get another one however after a less than pleasant experience I decided to shelf that and look elsewhere.

Over the past few weeks I spent 3 out of 7 evenings in different dealerships searching for the right car but also trying to find someone who I felt comfortable buying from. I am a young girl and I always felt like the salesMEN were trying to pull one over on me. Being in sales myself I saw right through that and I was at the point where I wanted to just forget the whole thing and purchase something from a private seller.

I went into Fletcher Jones Audi and was politely greeted by Matthew (bow tie). He took the time to go over ALL my options and not just the one that would put the most $$ in his pocket. My entire experience was so pleasant from start to finish. I would recommend if you are looking for first class treatment go to Fletcher Jones Audi and ask for the man in the bow tie.

Audi Fletcher Jones, 1111 N. Clark Street, Chicago, IL--

The absolute worst service possible.  On December 1, 2012 my wife took her Audi Q4, a car we purchased from this same dealer for approximately $45,000 10.5 months ago, for its scheduled servicing. Audi puts a lock on some of the equipment in the vehicle and therefore one must get the servicing done from them as opposed to some outside, less expensive service company. Prior to showing up for her service, my wife called and scheduled it, while noting that she wanted a car wash with the service. She was told that the request was noted and would be provided. She dropped the car off and left. Approximately 1 hour later she received a call saying that one of the servicemen crashed her car with another car within the dealership. She rushed back over to fine extreme damage to the bumper and right side of the car. When she approached the Audi service manager with disappointment, he was defensive. He said that this is why they don't do car washes anymore! She explained that nobody told her that. Car washes near our home in the city was a large reason why we chose this specific dealership and car. In fact, it was a large part of their sales pitch to us and we explained to them how important it was when we bought the vehicle. Are they crashing cars regularly and penalizing the customers that buy expensive vehicles due to their ineptness? Instead of taking away a service promised to us why not stop crashing vehicles? She was irate that he was trying to blame her for crashing her vehicle! When she explained this is the 2nd major issue we've had with him, he responded saying "Our customer service is ranked 9th overall so we seem to be doing just fine." I cannot imagine someone can speak to a person in this manner after putting thousands of dollars in damage to their vehicle. While they agreed to fix the car, we explained that our concern was not just that. These vehicles are very expensive, and this accident will damage its resale value tremendously. They have to put on a new bumper and detail the front end of the car. His response was that we are not reporting this to the police so nobody will know. First, we do not condone lying, which is what he was trying to advise us to do, when selling something to a buyer. Second, anyone with any knowledge of vehicles would be able to tell that excessive damage was done and parts were replaced. This is now the 2nd time we've had a large issue with this dealership. The first involved an alarm that did not go off that cost us thousands. While they took responsibility the first issue, the compensation they provided was hardly enough, and they took 2 months to resolve. I'm not at all confident that this issue will be resolved, as just repairing the vehicle still leaves us monetarily damaged. Further, the defensive response by the service manager was hardly apologetic and actually tried to shift blame on my wife! Simply repairing our vehicle is not enough as it does not make us whole. This company really needs to work on their customer service.

In one word: Avoid.

The service department is slow to turnaround vehicles. Generally, they will give you a loaner if you call ahead...however for maintenance that take takes "2 hours or less" they refuse.

The problem with that is the maintenance always takes longer than 2 hours. In one example I was waiting for over 4 hours because they were "busy".

There are several other Audi Dealerships in the Chicagoland area that have better customer service and I would advise you to investigate before purchasing or having your car serviced.

From my experience the other dealerships "just get it"---this dealership does not.

Today I bought my fully loaded 2013 Audi A4 from Fletcher Jones Audi. I'm no stranger when it comes to negotiating deals because well I do it for a living and I must say that I do appreciate their no pressure, tell it how it is sales approach .

I did my search on the internet and got prices from 4 Audi dealers and although I may live in Evanston I chose to go to Fletcher Jones in Chicago because it looked like the most professional, indeed it was. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by Brian Owen, the sales person, who was extremely warm and friendly and loaded with a wealth of knowledge about the ins and outs of my soon to be Audi A4. After some friendly pleasantries and side by side comparisons of different A4 models, Brian suggested that we go out for a test drive.  I prefaced the test drive with my affinity towards all things tech and upon entering the Audi, Brian unleashed his, what seemed like, wizardry on the navigation system.  From that moment forward, I was sold with not only the car but also my sales person Brian.

We were able to negotiate the purchase professionally and respectfully. Adding to the relaxed dealing Brian offered me something to drink which was most welcome.

What was especially impressive to me was that while working out the numbers with Brian, I told him that I would have to go home and sleep on it, at which point he didn't try to close me on the spot or offer me some kind of ultimatum.  This was indeed a no pressure sale and very refreshing. The next day when we finally agreed on a fair price Brian not only helped me transfer my belongings from the old car into the new but ALSO drop off my old leased car at the Mitsubishi dealership.  Now that truly exceeded my expectations and prompted me to write a 5-star yelp. His final comment was enjoy the spaceship (as he liked to call the extremely tech equipped Audi) and call me if you ever need anything.

From Brian the sales person to the finance manager, Brett Anderson, who had me done with the paper work in 5 minutes, and even the Sales manager Tim Slamkowski, who offered me a firm handshake and a sincere thank you, Fletcher Jones Audi of Chicago truly sets the bar in customer service.

As a VW fanboy I have always wanted an Audi-the uberVW.  This is the year i finally become an Audi owner thanks to Charles Ellenson of Fletcher Jones Audi. This dealership is in the city. That is a huge plus for a non suburb trekker. I mean location, location, location, and find Charles he is great.

So a couple months ago I started looking to buy an A3 TDI 34mpg city 42 highway and way fun to drive!  After researching I emailed a bunch of dealerships and Charles responded quickly. He was really professional and easygoing.

We met Saturday and with no delay we were on a test drive. Charles is a no hassel salesman who truly loves cars and is knowledgeable about the industry which helped me understand a lot that made buying my Audi a breeze.

I look forward to reviewing the service as the miles go by. I won't be disappointed if the rest of the dealership is as cool as Charles is.

Recently bought a used car ( non audi) from a gentleman called Doug Deethardt.  Coming into the dealership, i knew exactly what i wanted and did my research.  Doug admitted that he didnt' know too much about the car that i wanted, but he was extremely helpful and courteous about getting me the things i requested.  The car that i bought was missing the spare key, but he was able to track down the previous owner and obtain it for me.  Big wow!  He was never pushy and didn't try to push me into an Audi at all.  I also met a few managers and everyone from the receptionist to the final prep guys made sure i was taken care of.
Please ask for Doug if you are in the market for a car!

I'm in the market for a new car, and I just had a horrible experience at Fletcher Jones Audi. The NATO conference is in town, and apparently they decided to close the dealership a little bit early. After reading the sign on the door, it was 10 minutes after the closing time, but someone let us in anyway and told us to talk to Jack. I told Jack that I was interested in replacing my beloved 16 year old Honda, and I think that when he heard me say Honda, he saw that I was a woman and that I'm a minority, he didn't take me seriously. He didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink until we were almost leaving and didn't offer us a seat. He probably thought that I would just get another Honda, but I am in the market to take the next step up into an entry level luxury vehicle. Did he ask me this? No.

He then went on to discreetly bash Hondas. Don't talk about my Honda! When I asked if Audis tend to last as long as Hondas he said "Audi owners tend to have higher incomes, and they don't keep their cars that long." Really? What was he trying to say? I've had my car for so long because I like not having a car note. Jack was ready to go home and would not show us any cars - only the one in the showroom.  I felt disrespected, and Jack was incredibly rude. He did not know anything about me and I felt stereotyped. I now have a bad taste in my mouth about this particular dealer and also about Audis. Everyone in the showroom had a snooty attitude. These are not the type of people that I would want to give my money to.

I've been going here for 3 1/2 years, and this place has fantastic customer service.  When taking my car in for service, everyone is very nice and helpful.  They gave me a free loaner car with no hassle, and I was in and out quickly.  They got back to me quickly and quoted me a reasonable amount, which they stuck with.  There are comfortable areas to wait and free bottled water and coffee.  I'm trading in for a new car now, and my rep, Charles, has been extremely helpful and courteous throughout the process, very accommodating.  He communicated via e-mail because I told him I didn't want to talk on the phone.  He followed up periodically without being annoying or overwhelming at all.  Great experience!

Radvan S. | 2012-01-23

Opposite experience.  Two days to tell me why my engine light was one -"need to run some more tests."  This after they knew what the problem was afternoon of Day One.  I agreed to the basic repairs but will definitely shop the more generic work they proposed which tripled the estimate.  Just to keep me in the right frame of mind, took 30 minutes to get the car after I paid the bill. Amazing!
Go there if you must but shop brakes, fluids, etc

Stanley L. | 2012-01-03

Every time I bring my Audi in for oil change or check ups they're always helpful, my usual service rep is Tim, never have a problem with their estimated time of completion. If they find something wrong they will always give you a call to let you know exactly what else needs to be done and never have any hidden cost. Only complaint I have is I think the waiting areas inside can be a little more comfortable, and they used to have a tv before the renovations a year or so back which isn't there anymore.

J T. | 2011-11-30

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday I was in Chicago with time to kill.  I talked with a guy named Charles.  For over 15 minutes he answered every dumb question I had.  Knowing full well I was not there to buy a car.  He was very friendly and funny and seemed to have plenty of knowledge regarding Audi.  I would highly recommend Charles & Fletcher Jones Audi.

Riz A. | 2011-11-23

What a bunch of jerks.

I came in here today to look at a preowned TTS that I had scoped out yesterday, beautiful car, one owner trade in, etc ,blah blah. I was ready to purchase, and sat down at the negotiating table. Now, you tell me, last time i checked, negotiating was a PART of the buying process? on a nearly 40k car, you'd think a 1-3 k off is a pretty reasonable REQUEST, NO?
I offered them 3k under their asking price to start negotiating. They came down 200 dollars. I came up 500 dollars. I told them i had room to work with and was down to negotiate a reasonable price. Before it could go any further, the ridiculous, stereotypical sales manager comes out, sits down, gives me his 'philosophy' on cars, and basically asks me to leave; no "this is my final price", no 'i'm sorry i can't go lower', nothing. Basically acts like a baby because i'm not paying sticker , or 200 dollars under sticker on a 40 thousand dollar car. Are you kidding me? what a bunch of unprofessional idiots. The 2 star rating fits.

Michael B. | 2011-10-27

Even though I've wanted to before, this is the first time I've written a Yelp review for a place where I received terrible service. It was that bad.

These guys are seriously the worst, and from the looks of the rest of the reviews here, I'm not the only one who had a bad experience -- actually, two bad experiences.

1. Decided I wanted to lease a new Q5. Did a ton of research on what they were going for, went to the dealership with a specific number in mind -- one that I KNEW was fair and attainable -- and the slime ball sales guy wouldn't come anywhere near it. Went to Orland Park Audi the following week and left with a new Q5 without a problem

2. Was experiencing some strange acceleration behavior about two months after getting my car, so wanted to take it to Fletcher instead of driving all the way out to Orland because I live in the city. Called to make an appointment and ensure I could leave the car there, and be provided with a loaner car, but when I showed up there was no loaner available (even though they claimed they "reserved" one for me), and they wouldn't even let me leave it there until their service technician (who was nowhere to be found) was able to take a drive with me to confirm there was actually a problem in the first place.

These guys are idiots. It's worth the drive out to Orland to avoid them.

Steve T. | 2011-09-21

Bought a used car from Fletcher Jones Audi. They were willing to negotiate on the price and gave me the best value for my tradein.

Things the did not do: Promised to detail the car (not done)
Promised all weather mats, they were not given and I had to go back and ended with only the front mats.

Overall a good experience. After all a dealer is there to make a profit not run a philanthropy.

KM I. | 2011-09-15

The bought of reviews below are probably some of the funniest on Yelp, by far.

Thank God I didn't buy anything here or bring any car in for service. Bet you all are jealous, haha. This review is solely based on my experience of wanting to purchase but dealing with 2 immature salesmen. The new place is gleaming in all of its silver facets but when you get down to it the salesman are poor and don't know how to treat a customer. This is Audi, not Maserati or Bentley so they have NO place to turn up their nose to ANYONE.

Plan to stand around, walk around, sit down, get in and out of the models, etc. 10 times over and over and guess what, still no one will come up and ask you if you need help. Mind you business isn't exactly booming, they are just standing around like statues. If you have the guts to go hunt one down for help prepare to be treated like a child.

Audi is a great car but nothing special enough that you have to be put on a waiting list for months. Their inventory isn't exclusive they just can't handle simple supply and demand. Even Perillo next door is a breath of fresh air, and that is saying a lot

sheila J. | 2011-06-21

The first couple of times I took my car into fj, they did a wonderful job.  But I soon understood all the negative reviews when I took in our Audi because the windshield wipers quit working.  They called me later, and told me that the front brakes were in bad shape and needed replaced and that there was an oil leak, and potentially the car could catch on fire.  They made the car sound like a death trap; I was half afraid to drive it home.  They quoted me $600+ for the wipers to be repaired, over $600 for the brakes to be repaired and $889 for the oil leak to be fixed.  I began calling around and ended up taking the car to Joe's on Elston (which i highly recommend).  The cost for the same repair on the wipers was $200 less than fj quoted me, and the cost to repair the oil leak was $219 TOTAL!  When I asked them to check the brakes, he told me that the brakes were fine--there was 50% left on the pads, and he wouldn't worry about them right now. The only thing good that came out of the experience with fj is that I found a place to take my car where honest people work---JOE'S.

Kelly S. | 2011-06-02

If I could give this place negative stars, I would.

I expect that going to a dealership for service will result in an expensive list of largely unnecessary and incredibly overpriced repairs, but I would think that in exchange you'd get the kind of first-rate service that at least makes you feel good about being there and owning an expensive car.

I have had so many bad experiences at F-J with my Audi A4, but this last one takes the cake! I will never go back.

I wanted my car "checked-up" before taking it on a short road-trip, so I brought it to F-J first thing in the morning with my 1 1/2 year old daughter.  The service agent wasn't sure how long it would take, so I asked him to call me in an hour or two with an update.  If it was going to be an all day event, then I'd come back for a rental, but I didn't want to have to deal with the hassle of switching car seats and driving back & fourth if it was only going to take a few hours.

After 2 1/2 hours passed with no word, I called the service department to check on the status of my car.  The customer service girl told me that he was out to lunch until after 1pm and would call me when he returned.  When I expressed my concern about the time and asked if someone else were available to check on my car, she told me EVERYONE was out to lunch.  I pressed her and she went to look for someone to help.  She informed me that my service agent had, in fact, been at lunch since 11:30 (it was now 12:45) and she was pretty sure he'd come back soon and would call right away.  I was irritated and told her that I did not think this was acceptable... she hung-up on me.  I hadn't yelled, sworn, lost my temper or anything like that.  Click.  Just hung-up the phone.

I dragged my exhausted daughter back to the dealership, where the service agent was now seated (still no phone call to me) and demanded my car back.  Although, a very nice and clearly more senior agent apologized profusely, my service guy didn't even seem to be able to understand what had gone wrong.

Must be nice to work at a place where 1 1/2 hour long lunches and hanging-up on customers is acceptable.  Apparently, they don't need business like mine, so from now on I'll take it elsewhere, at I'm sure 1/2 the price.

Blair H. | 2011-05-06

I just bought a used A4 days ago and I've been back twice already for them to make good on promises made during the sales process. On my most recent trip, I made them a list of everything to be done that they forgot to do on my first trip in and they didn't get ANY of it done. They said it was ready, I came, I waited forever (again), and it turns out the car was exactly as I'd left it with them! I'm not really asking for crazy things I don't think... examples: "clean gunk off dashboard," and "install license plate." Too much to ask?

K S. | 2011-03-10

Alan no longer works here, and I have since started to do my own maintenance.

M U. | 2011-02-13

I recently was in the market for a certified pre-owned A4.  I actually went to Fletcher Jones as a last resort b/c I didn't want the mess of being downtown, but I saw there were several in stock on their website.  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of it all.  The store was very busy, and I ended up being helped by a manager, Dan.  He was extremely professional and didn't talk down to me like I have had done in the past at other dealerships (i.e., didn't feel like I had to bring my husband with me in order to receive decent service).  I had my car in a few hours, and I love it.  The follow-up was great, and I will definitely go back there!

David V. | 2011-02-02

This rating is for the service department.

They are very expensive compared to the alternatives.  Look elsewhere unless you want to pay double.  I had a repair done here and called the other top 2 "audi Chicago" car service businesses (with more than 60 reviews) on yelp and both quoted me 1/2 the price for the same exact repair.  The upscale lounge while you wait?  The downtown gold coast location?  The brand new building?  All driving the cost to be much much higher than you should be paying for repairs.

Whitney C. | 2010-12-21

Let me preface this by saying that under normal circumstances I would have never taken my Audi to the dealership for repair work. Unfortunately for me, it was a Saturday, 15 degrees and my husband's birthday, when my front passenger window decided to get stuck all the way down while we were on the highway on our way out of town. I called Fletcher Jones and was told to bring the car straight in, as they had appointment availability. For the sake of convenience (and in hopes of salvaging my husband's birthday plans) I decided to take my car to Fletcher Jones. Bad decision.

We dropped the car off at noon and were told the service department would look at it and call by the end of the day with a diagnosis. Well they did call by the end of the day, only to say they had not had time to look at it yet, which I was okay with since I did drop the car off without much advance notice. William from service called again on Monday afternoon again only to say they still had not had time to look at my car as they were, "backed up with a lot of big jobs" (i.e. more expensive repairs than my window). William finally did call back later in the evening to give me the quote for my repair work. The quote was more than I was expecting, but I should have known since I was using a dealership (aka stealership).

When my car was done the following evening I was surprised to see that the bill total was $44 more than I was expecting to find. Upon looking at the bill breakdown I noticed the repair work was $15 more than I was quoted, but my real complaint was the $29 dollar "environmental fee" I was charged. I asked the cashier who vaguely answered it had to do with the disposal of parts, but called my sales rep to the counter rather than doing the explaining herself. William, the service rep, came to tell me there was nothing he could do about the charge and that the "environmental fee" was for the rags and uniforms that the service shop used! WHAT?!! There was no way I was going to pay $30 for use of rags and to outfit the repair guys in fancy uniforms!! William informed me that all places charge this fee and that in fact he charged the same thing when he "had his own place." Hmmm, being that he works at Fletcher Jones, I'd venture to assume he no longer has his own place, I wonder why....

William refused to do anything about the fee and left the room. After asking for the service manager, William magically reappeared and said he would remove the charges. (The extra $15 above the quoted price and the $29 environmental fee). I made sure to let the service manager know how I felt about his dealership and the fact that I never would step back in there for any reason.

For anyone looking for a reliable mechanic I HIGHLY recommend Rudy at European-American Motors. He has done great work on my Audi in the past.

BOB M. | 2010-11-12

Just as promised easy service nice people great new building.
ordered my snow tires they will even store the summer tires.

Julia F. | 2010-10-21

i wish i could give zero stars. since i wrote my first scathing (and completely honest) review, i have an update.

i recently discovered the the spare tire in my truck is FLAT. well, how did this happen? it didn't. i went to fletcher jones way back when when one of my tires was leaking. i purchased a (way overpriced) tire protection pacakge, so i took the car to get fixed under that package at fletcher jones. apparently, instead of fixing the tire, they swapped out my leaky tire for the spare in my truck. meaning, i've been driving around with a flat, old, used tire in my truck for a year.

a few things:
1. this is DANGEROUS
2. this is beyond shady
3. i hate fletcher jones

Kimberly B. | 2010-08-07

I am rating the service dept only.  I had an issue with the air conditioner on by 2010 Audi.  I called to get an appointment and was told it would be 8 days.  With 90 degree weather this was not going to work for me.  I explained that I drove 80 miles a day and there was still nothing they could do.  I tried a different dealer and they got me in immediately.

Horrible Experience with CPO Audi Q7

I purchased a 2007 Certified Pre Owned Audi Q7 from Fletcher Jones dealership on May 15, 2010 listed on their website. I was told that the vehicle is in perfect condition and has passed the 300 point Audi CPO inspection. I trusted the sales person and put a deposit on this vehicle on Wednesday and told that I would be coming to pick it on Saturday. Right after buying this vehicle and driving on my way back to Michigan (Approx 50 miles or so), I noticed that the Engine light started flashing on the screen, the vehicle started vibrating as soon as it reached 70mph and the 2nd key was not functioning or programmed to work with my vehicle. I mentioned this to David the very next day (May 16th) via E-mail and he responded back saying that they apologize for what has happened and I should take the vehicle into the closest dealership in Michigan where i reside as the vehcle is CPO and covered under warranty.

The dealer in MI (Suburban Audi) replaced the ignition coil, programmed the keys and claimed that my front tires need replacement/alignement and would cost approximately $1000 from my pocket. The MI Audi dealer was shocked as they mentioned that Fletcher Jones had only replaced rear tires, but the front tires were not replaced and should not have passed the certification inspection because they are pretty worn out. I called and left several messages for David from Chicago Audi dealer but he never answered the phone or returned my call. I read some forums and approached Audi headquarters customer service to get this problem resolved, and just after 30 minutes or so I get a rude call from Dan (David's colleague from Fletcher Jones), who told they cannot do anything for me now as I have approached Audi USA customer service directly and they would be responsible to answer to Audi USA directly. I am highly disappointed with this malpractice and misrepresentation of the vehicle and Fletcher Jones Dealership's misinformation on the vehicle. I would NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to purchase any vehicle from his dealership

CJ C. | 2010-05-17

BEWARE!!!! I took my car in for a recall issue-I was told that they would perform my 45,000 mile maintenance and overall inspection as well since the warranty was still in effect. I was informed that I needed several maintenance items and minor repair work, which I declined. I then went to my local mechanic for a second opinion. He told me that their maintenance items were over-zealous and the $190 charge for fuel induction service could be done for $20.He also quoted 50% less for the minor repair work than FJ. In addition,my local mechanic found an oil leak that FJ never mentioned. He felt that FJ ignored it since my warranty was expiring soon and did not want to do any free work. I will NEVER return to this place!!

Dan P. | 2010-04-12

I had a mediocre experience at FJ Audi but they did step up to make things right. In my mind, that makes them a winner in my book.

Their parts department is a tad messy and very busy, but they do know their stuff. I didn't buy a car from them, nor have I needed to take my car in for service -- my experiences were solely from the parts counter.

I will say that their management is courteous and helpful and was very quick to address my invoice problems from a parts order.

To anyone complaining about prices...deal with it. Audi/VW is an expensive car brand and they're not easy to work on. Acura and Lexus charge a lot too, trust me. You're also paying for the location, to a certain extent. Property is not cheap down in that area. If you don't like their rates, go ahead and waste time to drive out to another dealership.

Mario P. | 2010-01-07

This place is just awful.

I'm referring to the service department (I know nothing about the sales floor).  Over the past 2 1/2 years I've had so many bad experiences I don't know where to begin.

Consider one of the last ones.  One day I discover that the horn on my Audi A4 is not working properly, but the problem is intermittent.  I take it in, and they call me back explaining they cannot replicate the problem.  Fair enough, I suppose.   They also cannot explain why it is intermittent.  OK?  Nevertheless, they still request authorization to fix the problem for just under $400.  Huh?  Along the way, they strongly recommend another bunch of jobs: fuel injection system flush or something (more than $200), replacing the battery now before it's too late (huh?) ($275), and replacing all four tires, because even though they are fine now they will need to be replaced in the future (huh?) ($1000).  I have to probe hard and stand my ground to discover that none of the extra "recommended" stuff will be necessary for a while.

Another one.  I take it in for a broken sunroof screen (the plastic interior one), which, when opened, is swinging all the way back and into the space between the roof and ceiling.  They quote me some outrageous price, but say my extended warranty (third party) will cover it.  However, they "haven't been able to get in touch with them," so they need to keep the car overnight.  Fine.  Next day, I get the car, take it home, and the following day, it happens *again*.  I take it back.  Now they say they have to remove the entire ceiling, so they'll need the car overnight again.  Plus they have to fly the part in from somewhere, so they might need it till Monday.  $700 (warranty covers it).  Total days without car? Five.  Cost in last minute car rentals?  Hundreds.  Nonrecoverable time away from work?  Priceless.

Another one.  One day, all of a sudden, the car started stalling in the middle of the highway.  I take it in.  (To their credit, they saw me right away, without an appointment.)  They say that one of the four ignition coils is out.  They quote me some outrageous price, but add that I should replace all four of them, that the warranty will cover one replacement, but that they won't charge additional labor and that the other ones will only cost me another $35 or so each.  First question: Why would I replace 4 coils if only 1 is broken?  Well, they say, the other ones could break.  Yes, sure.  But if I get one flat tire, I don't change all four just because the other three could also get a leak[!].  Back and forth.

Then I ask about "labor."  He mumbles something about "the mechanic having to get in there and change them."  Typical.  But I had looked online.  To replace the coils, you remove three very large and easy to reach screws from the top of the engine cover, pop the old ones out, and pop the new ones in.  They literally pop in and out, like the cigarette lighter on the dash.  It should take 4 minutes, tops.  I call him on it.  He bobs and weaves, a bit embarrassed, but I get no real answer.  Typical.  The kind of stuff that gives mechanics a bad name.

I do not trust this place.  I am convinced they only stay in business because they're the only certified Audi service group within city limits.

In the end, though, I am happy.  I traded in the Audi, and got an Infiniti.  Never again.

Jud V. | 2009-12-25

This is the worst auto dealership I have ever encountered.  I purchased a car from them in September, and they day after I picked it up, I found out they lied to me in a very significant way.  I immediately called them out on their lie and stopped payment on the down payment check.  Finally they admitted they "screwed" up and fixed it, but when I went to resign the finance papers, their finance manager sat there and lied to me.   Having some inside information, I had to call him out on his lie and he had to fix his inflated finance rate.

Fine, they screwed me but made it right.  2 weeks later, a piece of the grille came off and I found scratches and adhesive on the car.  It went in for service and they did NOTHING except get grease all over the inside of the car.  They announced that the grille was going to cost $550 because "the technician said there were 'scratches' on the grille and I had to have caused it by hitting something"  The car has front and rear parking sensors and is garage kept.  Again, a lie to get more money from me.

Audi came through and replaced the grille, so in it went for service again.  By this time, it needed its 5000 mile service.  The car comes back and they didn't bother to rotate the tires, and the receipt indicated they changed the oil and added washer fluid, but no where did it say they put the solution needed for the emissions system.  I don't believe they did it, and I should know within another 5000 miles or so.  On top of that, they didn't bother to remove the adhesive that they had been asked to two times!  WTF?

My recommendation would be to stay as far away from these people as possible.  I agree with the OP, I wish there was a 0 star option.

Now that most of the delivery issues are dealt with, my next writing about this dealership will be to the CEO of Audi of America.  The damage that Fletcher Jones is doing to the Audi brand is unforgivable.  They need to be shut down.

Matt D. | 2009-11-21

My wife and I walk into this place. I circle the sales floor 5 times, sitting in every vehicle. Looking around, like, really? In this economy, no one is going to offer me any assistance. I finally spot this woman, sitting at her cube, looking at me.
"hi, do you work here?" i ask her. "yes".
Great, well do you folks have any preowned inventory here, I am looking for a wagon/avant. She begins to speak to me like I am 5, not only does she appear that I have interrupted her black berry messenger moment, she tells me that 'that car is very hard to locate, they are a limited production' . I correct her, that it's not like they aren't floating around craigslist. Waste of a human. I'm going to profile her, only so you won't make the same mistake if you go there: about 5'2, dark complected, and say 45 ish.
Never going back to this place. FAIL.

I took my '04 Audi A4 to Fletcher Jones Audi for my 55K maintenance.  They did the maintenance, way overpriced as expected, but then they told me that I had an oil leak that would cost 800 dollars to fix, they said the leek was a 3 out of 5, and that it needed to be fixed ASAP.  I thought this was strange, because I did not notice any oil leaking on the ground, and frequently checking the oil, it was never low!  I told them to skip the repair, I'd take it somewhere else....they also wanted to rotate and balance my wheels for 180 dollars! long story short, I got a flat tire a month later.  I took it to an independent import repair shop, who patched my tire for 25 bucks and also rotated and balanced the wheels for FREE.

Here is the worst part...they checked everything on my car, it was running perfectly...NO OIL LEAK.  They lied about the leak, probably because im a female and would not truly know the difference if they fixed an oil leak that did not even exist!!! they make me sick-pass the word along!

Chicago Import Service on clybourn is a MUCH better choice.

I purchased an Audi A4 when this dealership was still called Loeber. I rarely drive the car so don't need it serviced often. My two experiences with Fletcher Jones have been horrific. My first time in, they told me I needed new brakes and rotors and quoted in excess of $400. I said no thanks and took the car to an independent mechanic. He said the rotors and back brakes were fine. He changed the front brakes for under $100. Fletcher Jones also changed my oil on a separate occasion and forgot to replace a gasket. Thankfully I noticed a large pool of oil in my parking spot at my condo and took the car back. They fixed it but they didn't apologize or give me any compensation for my wasted time. I guess I should consider myself lucky that they didn't slam the car into the roof when they lifted it up. I feel for you, Andy!

After reading the previous reviews I absolutely had to chime in and add my two cents:

The service consultants I've dealt with over time (Jason and Mark) are amazing. Friendly, efficient (in and out in under 30 minutes --  with loaners no less!) and incredibly knowledgeable.

I always get my Audi A4 (aka my baby) back better than I drop it off. They constantly keep in touch via cell phone to keep me posted as to what they're doing, why they're doing it and when I can get her back. The last time I went in, it was because the check engine light came on and within less than 12 hours they had her purring on the roads again.

I love the attention to detail, their laid back attitudes and the complimentary car wash on my baby.

Audi builds one hell of a great car (will NEVER go back to the BMWs or Benz's which I've owned before) and with this kind of stellar service each and every time I've been there, Audi will have a client for life!

What can I say except that I am never driving my car through those doors again.  They rip you off.  I had an independent mechanic do work for me (I took it to him after FJ said that something was broken on my car) and he said that a) much of the work they were recommending was unnecessary; and b) he wouldn't swear to it, but it looked like there was manmade damage done to some parts that he thinks they did on purpose.

I love the "Carbon Cleaning treatment" for $175 that they offer--it's called, 'pour STP in the tank.'  The only people who could think that place was okay are people who can't change a lightbulb in their house.

Is there a good dealership in this city?

Do I even have to give them one star??  This place is a complete joke.  My first visit was for a routine 50k mile maintenance and also to diagnose a rattling noise from under the car.
I returned later that day and the rattling, apparently, was due to less than premium fuel.  (After talking with other people, this seems to be a common answer for the service department who doesn't feel the need to fix the real problem).  My car still rattles.  As I'm driving away I check my console and notice that a brand new roll of quarters was taken.  Hmmmm.
In their defense, I was offered a free detail for the missing roll of quarters.. and I gladly accepted.  Fast forward a few months, I go in for my free detail.. I had removed EVERYTHING from my car - so they could do it properly and not work around my crap.  When I left my car that morning, i left my sunglasses in the car -- and of course, when I went back that afternoon to get my car -- they were gone!

Who would think that at a so-called esteemed audi dealer you can't even leave a pair of sunglasses in your car.  And if you do -- and they're taken -- too bad!  Andy in the service department won't do a thing.  In fact, I left 6 voicemails for him (to his one returned) and finally reached him on yet another try.

Service Department?  Hardly... I would never return here..  too bad it's the only central place in the city.  I would highly recommend The Audi Exchange in Highland Park.. Fletcher Jones should take some lessons from them.

hate this place.  you can't walk in the door for under $700, and you will without even the slightest doubt get a call from your Repair Consultant with technician 'recommendations' that in most cases will double your bill.

Fletcher Jones Audi Service

Well, where does one begin.  This disorganized service department is without question the worst service experience I have ever had.  From the un-knowledgeable advisor's, to the poor attention to detail it has been the worst part of my new Audi experience.

I had to bring my car back on several occasions to fix an obvious problem that the service teams, just cant seem to even find!  I had an appointment to come in to drop off my car, call ahead to ensure my loaner is still available and when I get there for the 3rd visit the Service manager ANDY has the audacity to tell me "they don't offer loaner on Friday evenings" even though I called to confirm an hour BEFORE!!,,  Im still in shock at the poor attitude.  Needless to say I would not service or buy a car From Fletcher Jones.  I would think the only reason anyone goes to them is because of their central location in the city.  I will be happy to go furhter out for quality service.

I came here because my Audi had a safety recall on a specific part and while they were replacing that part, I had them give the car a 'check-up'.  They found over three thousand dollars worth of 'necessary' repairs on my car and even recommended that I test drive one of their many new and pre-owned vehicles.  No thank you!

Anywhere that charges $80 for an oil change is evil.  I even looked one of the actual mechanics in the eyes and asked if he would charge his mother that much to which he responded that "Audi's are very unique" and that "they need special oil and special filters..."  His boss then patted him on the back and said "time for a raise!".  The only positive aspect of this automotive misadventure was the free CTA pass they gave me.

We've been leasing an Audi A3 for the past year.  Everyone has been very pleasant, honest and easy to work with.

My dumbass lost one of the car keys in a snow drift recently.  Took the car in today to get a new key.  Mark, in Audi service, was super friendly, helpful, and quick.  Plus, he told us the cost of a replacement key went down and that we could get our car back earlier than normal!
