This was my very first Chicago Harley dealership I ever entered way back in the 1970's. It was a very small shop, maybe about 10 bikes on showroom floor. Small sales counter & friendly customer service people. But the person who stuck out the most was the owner, Barry Brown. Barry let me sit on the new sportster every single pay day & dream my life away. I never bought the bike, but years later when I returned on my other bikes, I always parked in the same spot, so Barry would have to come outside to push me & bike into the street. It was a gesture he kept up for me for 30+ years. I have not been to his other shops, but I do know that no matter what bike I rode to his shop, I could get it fixed by Liam Taylor the service mechanic.  His one shop grew & he built other shops around the Chicagoland area.  I joined Chicago HOG many years ago in my shovelhead days. Now I am both a Goldwing & Sportster lady & visit these two nice gentlemen when I visit Chicago.

You have to call here to see if they have the part you want because it's very possible that they don't. Once I asked for 50wt oil and they didnt have any. Let's just say they don't try too hard at this location. When you do try to call to see if they have something in stock it's a real possibility that they won't even answer the phone. Someone told me that harley makes them keep a location open that sells motorcycles so they can sell t shirts to the tourists by michigan ave.

Brought my bike in for a tune-up/spring check-up and oh my god what a mistake!!  I have never see a more rude staff, the tune up took almost a week longer than promised, and the bike came back with a scratch that wasn't there when I dropped it off.

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I stopped by here to comparison shop on a new bike and while I'm not really a HD fan I really enjoyed my visit to the store. The sales guys were pretty nice and helpful. I was pretty impressed a few of the newer model HD's too, although the price range was a bit out of my league.

They also sell Harley Davidson gear for those looking to dress in the proper attire when on their Hog.

Pros:They Sell Motorcycles and parts
Cons: Only Harley's and Buell - unless that's what you like
Cost: $$$$ of 5
Overall Rating: 4 of 5
Recommendation:  Recommended
