Reviews on Barnes Auto Group

I brought my current car from here and so far it has been a very Good car. I made sure I had them fix everything that I found wrong within those first thirty days of warranty! After that I was on my own and so far the only thing I needed was a oxygen sensor and basic maintenance. It's hard calling in once your car is in there Shop and they take days to fix it but as long as they covered it I was OK with that!

This dealership compelled me to join AND write a review on yelp for the first time.  Barnes Auto Group sold my father a lemon in every sense of the word.  It is amazing how they manage to sell pieces of junk with a straight face.  Our personal mechanic could not believe that the dealership was so incompetent that they were unable to uninstall the existing alarm system on the car, as a result, when the car would be turned on/off a "mysterious" beeping would occur.  I wondered what it was every single time.  Turns out, it was their half-assed handiwork when they were unable to uninstall the alarm system.  Since then the car has spent quite a while in our mechanic's garage.  Apparently this place is notorious for selling cars with rusty brakes and fuel filters.  It'd be easier to list the things the mechanic HASN'T replaced on the car.  The customer service here is also the most terrible experience I have ever been put through.  When I went to inquire as to why it was taking so long for us to get the license plates (made the mistake of going through the dealership as opposed to going to town hall ourselves, it took 8 weeks) I was met by the rudest receptionist that cut me off in mid-sentence to say, "We're busy." I find it difficult to understand how they have such a vulgar individual speaking to the customers.  Granted, when they're willing to sell you a lemon, their regard for you as a customer is evident: they could care less.  Please, do not go here. If you Google the business you should come across similarly disappointed customers--as well as a shady history.  Apparently connections are the only reason this location is still open.  The BBB needs to be contacted immediately.
