Reviews on Nissan of South Morrow

Long ago when we wanted to buy our Nissan van, we were directed to this location via Sam's car purchasing program.  I kid you not, this was the longest most drawn out situation that I have ever encountered.  Their financial manager just talked entirely TOO much about nothing and when I finally said something about speeding up the process, he told me that he was obligated to go over every single detail of the paperwork.  OMG, I thought my head would pop off and it felt like someone  had tied me to the bed and was forcing me to listen to this horrible bedtime story.

The cherry on this rotten cake is this: this guy actually informed us that we would be receiving a customer service survey in the mail, and that he would appreciate us giving them the highest rating which I believe was a five.  Okay, so of course he received the lowest rating possible based  because of what I considered to be an  inappropriate request.   I would have been fine with just being asked to complete and return a survey, but don't ever tell me what to say or how to rate your business because then you will have a problem.  Any time I rate a business, it will be honest and authentic.

So the bottom line is that I cannot trust this dealership because of unquestionable business practices. For me, ethics matter.  I don't know if this is  practice continues today, but it needs to stop as it reflects negatively upon the business..

Overall good experience with them following an extremely bad experience getting towed there.  It's more like 3.5 stars but I'm feeling generous since they did manage to get my car in and out today, and for less than I was worried I'd have to pay.

-VERY LOUD television in the waiting room, and no volume control, and no employee seemed to know how to turn it down either.  Nowhere to sit away from the television.
-The guy I dealt with, who was otherwise QUITE pleasant and helpful to me, did not seem to comprehend the concept of asking "how long do these inspections usually take?"  He interpreted my asking for an estimated timeframe as pushing them to rush, which I was quite clear that it wasn't - I just needed to know a general ballpark figure so that I could decide whether I needed to have my fiance drive an hour to go home and then haul my breastpump down to this place.  He gave me a pretty annoying cliche speech in response to this question (would you rush your doctor in the operating room?), which I did not appreciate (errr... no, but I would ask the doctor how long the surgery was going to take...)  I think this was just a miscommunication, and not enough to take a star away.  So there you have it.  I'd go back!

I'll have to give them an additional star this time & it's for the service department.  Normally I would advise all friends and family to avoid going to the dealership for any kind of maintenance issue. But this shop was pleasant, helpful and willing to look up any service bulletins that might be outstanding for my vehicle.  All this and they came in Cheaper than the other places near them.  I'll be back again for service.

Can't say say enough how much I love Nissan South!

I started getting my cars from them when I was 20 I'm now 27 and it's 4 cars later (I get bored easily). Everyone from sales to finance are so nice.

My favorite people are Rod Dollar and Walter Lawton (they are awsome) in finance. The person I see the most is probably Dane Jones in the service department for regular maintenance. I only see him. He will even have my car washed for me sometimes #Plus :)

Everyone I named has been at Nissan South since I started dealing with them in 2006 & that's impressive ! I like being able to go in and see failure faces. If I have any issues they can assist me with, they try their best to help me out.

I highly recommend Nissan South. Facility is very clean and everyone makes you comfortable. I feel like they are my extended family.

I am very impressed with the customer service at this location.   Dwayne listened to our needs and was able to put us in a really nice Altima.   From beginning to end the process was painless and should be modeled by more dealerships.   I was very skeptical about purchasing a vehicle after a bad encounter with a pushy salesman from another competing dealership.   I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I work at an auto repair shop, and the parts department is horrible!!! 9 times out of 10 when we call you are automatically put on hold for any where to 3 minutes or longer. Today I had to call 3 times to order one little seal. My first call was dropped, and the second time I called I was on hold for over 5 minutes so my call went back to the front desk and the receptionist then transferred me to the parts department voicemail, which had not been set up. Aggravating to say the least. Again, this was all just for a seal; that unfortunately was a dealer item only. There's no apologies given it's just expected that when you call you will be put on hold. The parts delivery guys are always nice and friendly. Ordering parts is a nightmare, and is waaaaay too time consuming. I wish there was a closer and more competent Nissan dealership to Henry county.

Problem #1****
I brought my Nissan Altima Hybrid 2007 due to the car would not brake. After Nissan replaced the Capacitor, Mr. Bass called me stating that the brakes are fix, however the ABS and Brake light will remain lit.  I will need to replace the IPDM in order to remove the service lights.  I clearly asked Mr. Bass if I could drive my car, and if the brakes work properly.  He stated yes I can drive my car and brakes are working fine.  I picked up my car and drove not even out of the garage 3-5 feet the brakes did not work. I literally and heavily slam on the brake for it to slowly come to a pause. I could of been in a crash, my life could have been in danger!  They did not fix my brakes nor did they even test drove the car before giving my car back. I paid $400.34 and nothing was fix! My life could of been in danger!
After that they said that I needed to replace my battery which would cost me well over $3000, I agreed. Later to find out my battery was still cover under the 100,000 mile.  These tech/advisor/nissan has no shame,no knowledge! Long story short to fix my ABS and Brake they ended replacing The Capacitor, IPDM, battery, and Actuator.  Not to mention they didn't fix my brake light after I told them 3 times!

Problem #2***
Brought my Nissan Altima Hybrid 2007 sometime 10/22/2012
While I was driving, the car shuts off on me, so I took it in telling them that problem along with the check engine service light. They told me that they will do a Pin test and go from there, After the Pin test they determine that I will need to replace the ECU which will cost over $1300.  If the ECU doesn't fix problem they will need to replace something else that would cost an additional over $900.  At this point from the brake problem to now, I no longer trust them.  They are doing the process of elimination! So I asked to take my car out the shop! 10/29/2012 I came to pick up the car, and they telling me I need to get a towing company to tow my car, because it will not start!  Are you serious??? I brought the car to you and it start fine, I have no problem starting my car! Now my car is in my driveway after I paid for the towing company.  It does not start and I have more then 1 service light on now.  Nissan F*** up my car!  I had no problems starting up my car, I had only one service light on and now I can't start my car and there is more than 5 service lights on!

I need to do something, if anyone have any idea please email me!

I've been going to this dealership for service over the past five years.  I know they are pricey but the job was always good.  However, my most recent visit will prevent me from going to this location again and it will prevent me from purchasing another Nissan.

This review is of the service department. I was impressed with the good communication and prompt service. The cost was what I expected and I was well informed about the cost before the work was done. I will be back.
