Reviews on Superior Autohaus

So on top of the rude experience that I had with this place, come to find out they DO in fact run specials. Found a link on their website. In the end my review consist of horrible customer service with a dash of flat out lies.

I'm way overdue in writing a review on Superior Autohaus. I first met the owner, Hans, about 12 years ago when he saw me drive up to an ice cream store in my 2001 Audi S4. He approached me and said that he specialized in Audi's and Porsches and handed me his card. He had a strong German-sounding accent, but hey, it's an Audi, so I thought that should be a plus! LOL!  As soon as I was off warranty I gave him a try. Such began the saga of the last 12 years of his servicing my baby. :)
He was so competent, thorough, fair and reasonably priced it never occurred to me to go elsewhere. I have seen him become frustrated with difficult customers (I have often waited on my simpler services to be done, so have been around the shop) but he has always treated me like a prince. At one point I had scheduled needed service, but was quite sick at the time. He came with one of his technicians and picked up my car, worked on it, and returned it without my ever leaving my house. Now THAT is service!
Fast forward to today: Finally decided to go for a new car. I looked at other brands, including Lexus and BMW, but quite honestly, I had to factor in losing Hans if I did so! I ended up buying another Audi (an S3, the size of my original S4 that I loved so) and lo and behold, after the  Audi dealer offered me so little on my trade in, Hans offered, and I accepted, to let him buy my baby for a much better and more reasonable price. Doesn't get any better!
I would highly recommend you give Hans and Superior Autohaus a try. If you do, you should expect: Higher quality work at a better price with no padding for unnecessary services. What you shouldn't expect:  fancy coffee machines, sumptuous waiting rooms or kid-gloven treatment like at the dealers. Lastly, you can expect peace of mind. :)

I had a similar experience as Jay.  Hans is a good mechanic, BUT, he expects you to bring ALL your business to him, if you don't, he gets temperamental, and says "you're not a regular customer" and then won't work on your car anymore.  I live 30 minutes from his shop, so it is not practical for me to always use his shop for my car's every need. My car lost it's power so I took it to the dealer to get diagnosed.   The turbo needed replacing. I tried to get Audi America to help cover some of the repair costs, practical thing for a consumer to do (thus the dealership visit), but they didn't. So, I called Hans to make an appointment to get him to repair it and he refused me because I had taken it to the dealership rather than directly to him.  He said the same as he said to Jay, "I wasn't a regular customer." He's very sensitive and it's impractical to expect people to use your business for every little thing that happens to our car, nor to try to get some of the costs covered by warranty.  I was happy to move on to another repair shop that doesn't take things personally.

I don't normally write reviews, but after my encounter last week with the owner Hans, I had to speak. Walked in to get a check engine light investigated, and was basically told he was busy and had no time for my car. When asked when can he get me in, he replied, "I Don't Know." That's not what upset me, what came next I asked to make an appointment, he handed me a card and said go online to make one.. HaNS proceeded to tell me, I'm not a 'regular' client - as if that make a freaking difference- thus being the reason he won't make time for my  vehicle. This infuriated me, because it doesn't matter how ofter I bring my car to the shop, why would it matter on servicing a client when they come in. I guess the few repairs I did have previously wasn't enough padding for his pockets for me to be a good client..There was a time when I went into the dealer to have a service done and I hadn't been there in 5yrs since i bought the vehicle from there, and they wrote me up, took the car in, paid my money and went home, not once did they crab about me not being a regular!!! WTF is that??? Crazy thing is, when I looked for reviews to see if anyone else experienced that same thing, I came across the youtube video that some pissed off customer posted....I just had LOL... it was my same type of experience but not that that extent...HORRIBLE SERVICE...MAYBE SERVICE LIKE THAT FLYS IN GERMANY, BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU NOT IN THE GOOD OLE USA!!..We've seen "Major" corporations fail because they thought they were too big to service the customer!!! He'll learn one day!

Hans and his staff are top notch!  Hans is one of the best master technician's I have dealt with for any of the luxury brand vehicles we have owned for years.  The down to earth attitude and honest opinions he gives are refreshing.  He definitely delivers confidence that you aren't being taken advantage of or being charged for unnecessary repairs.  He is very smart in that regard because this is what builds loyalty.

He will tell you what repair is necessary and what you need to budget for with future items that need attention.

I saved thousands taking my car to him and I will be back with others for sure!

I wouldn't hesitate to take your precious vehicle to see "Dr." Hans!

Oh, and say "Hi" to Max, the four legged greeting committee!  He is as sweet as they come!

Hans is epic.  Superior had me in and out with the APR tune for my Audi and a very reasonable price. I will be using Hans exclusively from now on.
I read the reviews and was a bit wary due to the one dudes experience.  But as an African American I couldn't have been treated with more respect and courtesy. For me Superior had earned their reputation and I will be back.
If you need you butt kissed then I recommend that you skip. They are busy, efficient, and run like a machine.

These are the only guys I trust my GLI with. Their service is fairly prices and they are incredibly transparent about what they are doing to the vehicle. They are also very quick about getting back to you when you contact them with questions.

I highly recommend Hans, he services my ten year old Porsche and my wife's year old VW, he will never sell you anything that you do not need and each and every time he works on my cars the bill is less than I would have expected it to be.

If you have an Audi/VW/Porsche (or any combination thereof) that's out of warranty, I highly recommend that you write a nice 'Dear John/Jane' letter to your dealership and make tracks to Superios Autohaus.

Hans K, the owner and chief mechanic, has been taking care of my Audi since 2004. Now with 175k miles on it, the car still looks and drives like new.

He's definitely more expensive than your corner Jiffy-lube but the last time I checked Jiffy lube didn't have any Audi and Porsche certified techs who trained and received their certification in Germany. That said, I will gaurantee that his prices are a LOT cheaper than your local stealer's.

If you're an auto enthusiast and want to race/track-prep your car they can help as well.

Just don't take any riced Hondas over to his shop. The man is fiercely partisan to German autos.
