First time using a car buying facility. Went to Autobuy first, then to Carmax. Their slogan of "we pay the max" is balls on!
Highly recommended Autobuy. Staff is better than good. I used the Belvedere road location.
I first took my car to CarMax for an appraisal and then I brought it here to see if they would beat the offer.
The setup was easy --I went to wepaythemax.com and set up an appointment easily which they called and confirmed shortly thereafter.
When I rolled in they were expeditious and very friendly.
I waited in the lounge room with fresh coffee ( woohoo) which is pretty plain but you aren't there long. Then they take you in a room and share the outcome.
They told me that my carmax offer was very good and I should consider taking it. They usually do beat the offers but in this case they were not able to.
I appreciated the honesty and took their advice! While I didn't sell my car to them, it was worth the time and I appreciated the customer service. To gain another star, need I say? They should have paid the max :-)
I recently sold my 2007 ford escape to Autobuy. I can't tell you how great they were.....From the first phone call to the completed transaction, I had 5 star service all the way!!! I have told others and will pass it on. They made it easy and painless.
