Reviews on Cramer Toyota of Venice

We had a really great buying experience for our used car at Cramer Toyota with Ed Cosgrove as our salesman. Being snowbirds from upstate New York, we wanted a second vehicle to use here in Venice. We had five priorities that we wanted in a used vehicle. First I wanted a smaller car taking less garage space, but being 6'2" tall I wanted enough leg room while driving. Second, my wife wanted plenty of legroom in the backseat for visiting friends that would ride with us. Then we wanted plenty of cargo space, larger wheels for better ride, and a hatchback for ease of loading cargo.
After requesting to see a Prius, our salesman Ed showed us three different standard size Prius cars. All were very nice vehicles but I still felt I needed more room. Ed then told us about the Prius V. He went to get the keys and when he returned he was driving a beautiful gray 2012 Prius V. It met all five of our priorities plus it had other niceties such as heated seats, fog lights, GPS, self dimming rear view mirrors, and a rearview camera.  Being a factory certified used vehicle, this car had everything we wanted. After a very enjoyable test drive, Ed explained several other features of the Prius V and we completed the deal.

Went to Cramer today, because we just arrived in Venice, from MA, and our brakes were making a grinding noise.  We also had a tire sensor that was not woking due to the fact that we had a blowout in VA, after hitting what looked like a piece off a road grader.  In short, we were concerned about the general safety of our car.

The mechanic at Cramer evaluated the situation, told us we had rust on our wheels and that we needed new brake pads, front and rear, and a new tire pressure sensor.  This was all going to cost us over $600.  We were informed that the car was safe to drive back to MA, and that there was no need to get all these repairs right now.

Maria Doyle was so sympathetic to our plight and so helpful.  To top it all off, there was no charge for checking out our car and making these recommendations.  How often does that happen?  Kudos to Cramer Toyota service department.  I would definitely go back there again, and we may even get them to carry out their recommendations before we leave town.

Just moved here and wanted to have my rav4 serviced at a Toyota dealer. Went in for an oil change. They said they didn't know if the gasket would hold for some reason. I told them I never had this problem before at the dealership I used to go to. They said they were more thorough. They did say it was holding after the oil change and sent me on my way.
I got home and the next morning found a puddle of oil under my car. I brought it back and they said when they do an oil change oil gets all over the underside of the car. They said it wasn't a leak, but just residual oil, even after I said I moved the car and another spot formed.  They cleaned the underside of the car and sent me on my way.
Not so surprising another puddle appeared under my car. When I looked at the printout they gave me when I went back the first time it says "cleaned oil filter and oil pan, advised customer of oil pan leak" what? They did not advise me of a leak, they definitely said there was NO leak, or I would have told them to fix it.
Not that I really believe I magically got an oil pan leak from natural causes the same time that they changed my oil, but if they had even admitted I had a leak I would have let them fix it.  NEVER going here again and advise all other Toyota owners to avoid getting their car serviced here. I live In Venice, but it looks like I'll be driving to Sarasota to get my car serviced.  Hopefully they can repair this leak for me.

Best customer service. Paul  Carvalho in the body shop was so kind and helpful. We were so appreciative. He went beyond what we needed. The service dept helped us too and the parts department  personnel were so nice and helpful. As busy ad everyone was no one let us feel like were part of a cog

This is the 3rd Toyota we bought from Cramer Toyota and the 2nd from Brian Kramer.  All of our Toyota's (total of 4) have been serviced at Cramer.

This latest transaction is similar to the previous one:  truly exceptional!  Brain Kramer is knowledgeable on the car, great customer service, and we hope he will be there when we buy another Toyota in the future.

He is a great asset to the car industry and its customers.

After dealing with Paul Nastri and Brian Casey I will never buy anywhere else.   For the first time ever, a salesperson (Brian) explained the car to me from bumper to bumper.  He was knowledgeable and professional.  I also got a great deal on a beautiful camry .  We intend to be back for the beautiful new Scion.
