Not happy with car purchase service.

They gave me a good deal for the car that I wanted but made me wait over 2 hours just to see the finance manager.  Kept on telling me that I was up next and only 20 mins wait.

I've been here since 5:30 and now I've just been called in to do paperwork.  Current time is 8:30pm.

If you are interested in buying or leasing a Lexus in the Tampa area, this is the place to come.  They have a good selection, and if they don't have exactly what you want, they can arrange to have the right car delivered.  Everyone there is very friendly.

We went on the last day of a deal, and when they didn't have the car we wanted, they decided to get the car delivered from a different dealership the next week, and they still honored the deal even though it had expired.

I have found their service department to be great.  They waiting room is very comfortable with a great coffee machine.  If you need a loaner, they try to get you the newest version of the model you drive, which is awesome.

Having been to multiple dealers for service, this dealer is adequate and not great.

When they wash the car and vacuum, but it isn't really cleaned like you would expect. Still has remnants of bugs on the hood.

I had a tire that was losing air for two days and two visits and they completely missed the screw stuck in the tire. Had it fixed somewhere else when the tire was flat on day three.

Routine maintenance gets done, but some of the things missed like he afore mentioned... if you have option to go elsewhere I would consider it.

Sales is good... no real issue with that department. They can find decent finance rates too.

I just think that when you deal with lexus,  it declares class act service and treatment. This dealer shoots for right under the line of good.

I was fortunate enough to work with Mr Nadir Jirmanos. Now we all know that buying a car can sometimes be one of them most horrific experiences in the world. I can tell you after buying over 15 cars in my lifetime that without a doubt Mr nadir was one of the most classy individuals I've had the opportunity of working with not only was he very efficient fast and helpful during my purchase is follow up skills after the purchase or what impressed me the most. Usually someone sells you a car and you never hear from them again, not nadir he has helped me not only scheduled service appointments, get my car detailed for free drama but also has asked me how the car is doing and there's even gone as far as to pick me up when I needed to drop the car off at the service center but was simply too busy to drive up there.

Buying a car from this dealership and Mr Nadir is much more than just driving the car off the lot these guys really know how to take care of their clients and if you do go to Lexus of Tampa Bay I would highly recommend working with nadir jirmanos

Excellent service and competitive prices.  Bob & Kirk are AWESOME!  They keep my ISF running smoothly.  They know their stuff, keep up with the industry from a technical, supply chain and sales perspective.  Very honest and helpful!

LTB does its best to make their customers happy.  They offer nice new loaner cars.  Their lounge is comfy, nice snacks, coffee machine, soda, WiFi etc.  I always get pre and post appointment personal phone calls from the service reps.

Best part, my ISF still hasn't needed anything serious so far (knock on wood).  Those cars are extremely reliable.  I'm a customer for life!

We had a very good experience purchasing our car. Rick keep the process moving and made the negotiations pleasant. Requested repairs were made in a timely way and a loaner provided. I would definitely return to purchase another car and recommend other to do so.

Great dealership with good sales persons. The only down size is the service department. Waited over 2 hours to get diagnosis on my car. Advised them I had to be at work and saw no sign of urgency. After 2 hours and 30 minutes the service rep finally put me in a loaner. Nothing at all against the service reps because they are not the ones checking the vehicles. They said because it was the end of the month they were busy. I recommend not going at the end of tbe month and I also recommend the service rep Ginger. She was amazing and very helpful!

I bought a 2011 RX350 from Lexus of Tampa Bay on December 15th, 2013. Since My husband is Active Duty Air Force and our home state is South Carolina the tax, title and tags needed to be processed through South Carolina instead of Florida. The day we took delivery of the vehicle the dollar amounts listed for these fees were incorrect in the closing documents. We pointed this out to Josh, one of the finance guys, and he corrected the documents.
Since there seemed to be a good deal of confusion surrounding registering the vehicle in our home state we offered to pay the SC tax, title and tag transfer fees ourselves. We were going to South Carolina for the holidays and would have the opportunity to just walk those fees into our local DMV. However, Josh said the dealership would handle it so he collected from us the exact dollar amount that South Carolina required for the taxes, title, and tag transfer.
A couple of days later while at the dealership for a paint touch up I asked my sales man how I would know when I could put my plates on the car and he told me they would contact me. After a month we hadn't heard from the dealer and the temporary tags had expired so my husband contacted the dealer. Again we were told they were taking care of it and they gave my husband another temp tag.
A few days later Josh called me and in a very aggressive manner told me that we owe the dealership another $125 to have the tax, title and tags processed because they thought we were going to do it ourselves. I was so caught off guard by his hostile and accusatory tone that I immediately hung up and called my husband. I also called the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles and they were able to pull up the incomplete document submitted by the dealership. It appears that the tax and title fees were paid but not the $10 tag transfer fee.
My husband left work in the middle of the afternoon so that he and I could go to the dealership in hopes of getting this straightened out. In the end we paid $40 to overnight the completed form as well as the $10 tag transfer and $20 expedite fees to South Carolina.
This vehicle is not my first Lexus and prior to this transaction I have been very pleased with Lexus service and quality. Unfortunately, my experience with Lexus of Tampa Bay has been terribly disappointing.

We had our GS350 in for service and mentioned that we were interested in trading it in for an RX.  I had a letter from Joe, the GM, stating that our GS is in high demand and that Lexus of Tampa Bay was ready to pay top dollar on the trade in.  The serviceman told me what he'd have Joe look at the car and call me to discuss the trade in value/quote.  I picked up the car that evening and was told that Joe did look at the car and would call that evening.  But the weekend came and we still hadn't heard anything.  Meanwhile, we discovered that Lexus of Tampa Bay had a white RX350 with black leather (rare combo) on the lot, so we decided to drive down and take a look.  Arnell greeted us at the door and seemed both professional and polite enough to work with.  He showed us the car and offered us a seat in his office to talk numbers.  He pulled up the quote on our trade in, which was a total low ball offer, but was unable to budge on it because he couldn't over-ride Joe, who still had not called us.  Arnell stated over and over again that Joe wouldn't undervalue our trade in and that he personally looked over the vehicle.  He later mentioned that Joe hadn't called us because he was not in office on Friday, the only day he could have personally looked over the car and signed off on the trade in value.  Since Arnell wasn't authorized to negotiate the trade in, we walked out.  On Monday, Joe called and apologized and offered to email over his "best deal" on both our trade in and on the RX we wanted to purchase.  Two days passed and I hadn't received anything.  Joe called on Wed to follow up and was surprised when i told him that i had not received his email.  So he faxed over the offer, his "best deal, which was far from it.  He hadn't come up on the trade in at all, and what's worse, the quoted price on the RX was $1000 MORE than the price on Lexus of Tampa Bay's website.  REALLY?!  And he's supposed to be the General Manager of the dealership.  At this point i figured we'd just put off buying the RX until we can find one at another dealership.  But on Thursday I received a call from Arnell.  I explained what happened and he replied by saying, "the great news is that we'll honor the lower price on our website!"  Like he was doing us a favor by giving us the published price.  I asked him if the price would be reduced again or if we might negotiate.  To which he replied that the RX had been in inventory for 33 days and was already at their blowout price.  He told me that there was no way that the RX would be reduced further and that he was unable to let it go for less.  Essentially that he could not negotiate the price.  I told him that he'd have to come up on the trade in value, otherwise we couldn't do business.  He offered to call me the following day to see if he could work something out.  On Friday i was browsing auto trader.com and came across the same RX we'd been looking to buy at Lexus of Tampa Bay.  But it was listed for $1000 less than Arnell's "Blowout Price."  WTF?!  He called later that day and I pointed this out.  He put me on hold to verify and then again said, "the good news is that we'll honor that price."  Seriously?  In the end we did purchase the RX.  But while signing paperwork, Joe, the GM, popped in to say hello.  He told me that he'd recently played hockey with Jeff and that he'd tell him that we ran into each other.  Sounded nice, but i don't know who the 'ell Jeff is... and i don't play hockey.  It was clear that Joe had no idea who i was and really didn't care as long as he was selling another car.  Last, but not least, I received a Lexus credit card in the mail a week later.  A credit card that i was not told about, that i did not apply for, and that i did not want!!!  So after receiving 3 emails prodding me to write a review, and a letter asking me to give them all 10s on their BS satisfaction survey, i'm here writing a review about the awful experience i had from a so called "premium" auto dealership.

My review is based on the Dealership, Service and overall experiences at Lexus of Tampa Bay. Although I recently sold my Lexus I have never loved a car more than my IS 250. The staff is full of integrity and knowledge about all the cars available. They have a large selection of gently used and Certified Pre-Owned Lexus with a wide variety of equipment levels. Because this particular store is an AutoNation store they have the ability to locate a used vehicle from their extensive database from around the country. This leaves all of the work to the sales team and lets their customers relax and enjoy their car purchase experience.

Their Finance Department is excellent in offering a variety of warranty's, service plans and other options for your purchase. They  guide their customers step by step with completing the paperwork process to ensure the smoothest transaction possible. Just like most other car dealerships around, they do offer complimentary food and beverages for their customers.

If anymore of my family, friends, classmates, colleauges and other people I know want to get a Lexus, I'd highly recommend Lexus of Tampa Bay. Feel free to browse the selection of different models they have available in their inventory. If you can't find the car you like, talk to a sales/lease representative and they'll take care of the ordering for you. If you're coming because there is something you need for your Lexus, feel free to come to the parts and service department. I had taken my IS for all of my regularly scheduled maintenance, I was always treated well and never felt as though I was being offered more services than I would need. Their service technicians are always up to date Certified to work on any Lexus product. I enjoy knowing my car is taken care of my professionals who are highly trained to perform even the smallest tasks on my cars.

I had a more than memorable experience and will look at Lexus of Tampa Bay for my next vehicle.

When you buy a Lexus, you expect to be treated well - wouldn't you think? My car is fabulous but the staff at Lexus Tampa Bay needs some work, especially at 11 am on a Saturday. There was about 8 'teenagers' standing around. Not one of them greeted me and they looked at me like I had 8 heads when I asked a fairly simple question. Finally when I go to where I was going... I then again was treated like I had an additional 8 heads when I asked a fairly normal question in the parts department. All in all, it felt like I was bothering them and it just wasn't the best experience after buying a luxury car. I will be driving all the way to Clearwater for the rest of my Lexus needs.. and that should say something.
