We are an extension of our main store in Detriot, MI. Where our GM began his career, but moved his family to Tampa escaping the snow and extending the Gordon Chevrolet Family. Our store was built and started in Carrollwood where we are today, with a few renovations and updates.

Terrible.  The car buying process was ok, however they still had a we owe contract that they needed to fill which is where the problem began.  Quite contrary to what they believe, the "We Owe" is a signed contract that they have to fulfill, it isn't an option.  Well their idea of matching tires is apparently different from everyone else's, they couldn't "find" matching tires so they tried to put tires that were not approved for use on my SUV, yes that's right, they put tires that were meant for a car on an SUV.   After arguing with their extremely rude used car manager who said he would take the car back, the car that we had the title for already, we decided to just get Chevrolet themselves involved and let someone higher up than the dealership.  It took us 5 minutes on the phone to locate the tires, which we ended up having to pick up just to get the tires and be done with this terrible dealership.  Two days wasted dealing with their nonsense and driving back and forth.

Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.  They obviously have no concerns for consumer safety since they were willing to send a pregnant person out on tires that were not approved for use on the vehicle.

No one ever did take responsibility for trying to put the improper tires on the SUV, service blamed sales and sales blamed service...typical.

Wow.  What awful customer service by the manager and it wasn't even towards me!  Me and another customer felt so bad for the customer being mistreated him that we had to inform the manager that he was wrong because neither of us received email confirmation for our appoiment.  Just because it isn't in the system  (most likely someone didn't update the appointment correctly) is no excuse to basically call the man a liar to him face!!!  He never apologized for the inconvenience and try to help resolve the issue or even ask is he can reschedule for another time and let any discount or car wash or lamer vehicle. ..nothing.  He just yelled at the end "what do you want me to do besides fix your car today" very sarcastically.   Really??? This is how you treat your customers?? Well not THIS customer because you have completely lady my business.   The manager was loud and rude and needs customer service training.   This is my 2nd time here and neither experience has been positive.  It is the closest Chevy dealership to my house but I will make the drive to somewhere else.  I had an 8:30am appointment which they said would take about 45 minutes but it wasn't done until almost 10:00am. Heard the manager even say we only have 2 techs here and Saturday is our busiest day.   Well here is a thought - STAFF MORE PEOPLE ON SATURDAY!!!

First off let me say used car sales you go in expecting to have an awful experience. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised to be wrong about that at Gordon Chevrolet.I came in looking for two vehicles with a knowledgeable staff and I only ended up purchasing one vehicle not based on Gordon Chevrolet but based on that's all I needed at the time. My sales rep Hal was "no pressure"!!! And I mean that he' never pushed the issue in a bad way ever and it made me come back and buy a vehicle from him because of it. The finance department was amazing they help me find the best loan at the best rate, the people there are fantastic I will definitely buy another vehicle when I'm in the market from Gordon Chevrolet!!!

The service department is a cluster fuck. The cashier won't work on more 3 customers at a time. She just sits there after your vehicle is done and you wait until those 3 customers some up at some point. Your vehicle is waiting for you an hour later, you lay into her, then she will check you out. Go somewhere else, save lots of time. Don't go here.

From drop off to check out, this was the worst maintenance visit I've experienced at any dealer.

Your experience will begin in the poorly designed drop off area with absolutely no room to form a line, and believe me, there will be a line, even with an appointment. This results in having people cut in front of you amidst the confusion.

Three hours later, in the tiny waiting room, you'll watch as your car comes back from an oil change. Does the nightmare end there? No, instead you will wait an additional 45 minutes while the paperwork slowly makes it's way to the extremely rude and unpleasant cashiers in the back, who seem only capable of processing one car every 5 minutes. When I mentioned they wouldn't be getting my business again, the actual response was "So?" from the "ladies" behind the cashier window.

Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this place. I certainly won't be returning here when it comes time to trade in my car. I'd rather drive back to Orlando where I leased it and get superb service from Carl Black GMC, not this cesspool of awful employees.

Our salesman Tony and finance person Erin made our car buying experience pleasent and completely stress free. Which has not been my experience at other dealers.  I will recommend Gordon to everyone I know.  I'm so happy with the deal and with my new vehicle!

Service department.
Service area did a recall on our vehicle. While doing the recall they damaged the fuel tank. Do you think they would tell us about it ? No.
After determining elsewhere that our tank was damaged. Took back to here to have it made right. Well after heated discussion with service writer and service manager. The service manager stated that I was 2 seconds away from being hung upon. Well I hung up on him.
Communication is not here. When they say they are going to call you, they don't. Met with general manager who has worked with owner Mr Smith for 15 years and he is more understanding than anyone.
It is just sad that all the service dept does not listen to the customers. We are wrong. They are right. Chevy corporate stated they would replace the tank but because our vehicle is old and paid for is till owe money.
Service manager stated that I do not have to so your work, I will park your car in the bay and you can come pick it up.
Never deal with this place for service or you will be wrong in everyway.
Service is not service if you have to argue and yell at one another, they do not listen to the customer, they just talk over you.

Went to the service department for my new car.  Service was 'ok'.  Functional but not great.  They were fairly fast, but I did have to wait a bit while techs finished teheir conversations to get my car.  No car wash.  No vacuum.  no window clean.  Not sure what I should expect from a chevy dealership but I am used to getting a clean car back from the places I normally go.

i do not recommend dealing with this dealership. they are law breaking crooks and they aren't even nice about it. they had a car posted for one price online for a week and so i decided to go look at, even called on my way there to make sure it was there and the price was correct. an hr later after driving in ridiculous tampa traffic i get there to look at it and the guy says oops we've actually made a mistake and the car is 2000 dollars more than online... really? i call b.s. and then the guy was a jerk when we wanted the car for the advertised price. im pretty sure bait and switch is illegal. is it not? and to top it off they low balled me on my trade in. offering me 1000 dollars less than the 'poor' price on kbb and my car is in excellent condition. this place is the epitome of the lying snake salesman stereotype. if you want even a decent deal, dont go here.

Benjamin Burch, new car salesman, worked with us and satisfied every single one of our concerns. Actually the required personnel to complete our new car purchase went above and beyond to make sure the transaction was complete and to our satisfaction. Everyone stayed 2 hours late and was not in any hurry to leave or rush us out the door. We are VERY Satisfied!!

Communication is everything and I experienced a communication breakdown with the service department here that was very frustrating. However, I have been in contact with management and have been impressed with how quickly they investigated my problem. I will be back to give them another chance, as I am very loyal to General Motors.

I believe they have a full service department and a quick service department. If my understanding is correct, they do not coordinate between the two departments very well. I do hope that I can make ONE appointment where they are able to take a car in for an oil change in quick service and move it over to full service to investigate a service engine light. If TWO appointments are required for this, then they are not making the service department very convenient for their customers.

Gordon Chevrolet has a beautiful building with a comfortable interior. The last three years I lived in St. Pete and had all my maintenance taken care of at Maher Chevrolet. Aaron Marcum and the rest of the Maher employees are exceptional. I will be back to Gordon Chevrolet's service department and hopefully they can live up the the high standards sets by Maher.

Brought my car in for an oil change, tire balance & rotation and to fix break light. Service was fast, courteous and very helpful. Both Tina & Patti, service consultants, were professional and hilarious. The waiting room has a HD TV, desks and free high speed WI-FI

If you want quality body work done, look elsewhere.  My insurance company works with them directly, so I thought they were a reputable shop that does proper repairs.  Aside from the fact that it took forever to get the repair estimate, the work they did is sloppy.  When I first got my SUV back, the hood wasn't even properly centered.  I got a rash of attitude when I took it back to get it corrected.  When I went to try to lift the hood, I found that the release no longer functioned.  

This is really pathetic work, and I've already filed a complaint with my insurance carrier.
