First off I would like to say, my husband and I was raised in California, lived a decade in las Vegas, just moved to orlando for almost a year, our first dealership was tropical Ford, we received one hello when we walked in, our salesman nestor didnt know any specifics on the truck, he said I Dnt know about 5 Times during the test drive, although he was nice guy, it seemed like every one was just in it for the sale, we Dnt have enough words for the finance mgr, Jack, he had nerve to even say he was the mgr of the whole place, because I wanted to complain about his arrogance, no eye contact, was rude to my husband and told him he might as well keep his truck, because it's not worth a thing! Really Jack?!, we got 1,000$ for it, at mcj auto. They were a small but honest dealership, excellent customer service!, we got a nicer truck less mileage and Eddie Bauer ! Jack said, with my husbands credit 13%!, his words and demeanor were just very disrespectful, we got 7% deal at mcj! They said his credit wasn't too bad!, Jack has no customer service skills, he almost made u feel that u needed to beg him and act like your borrowing financing through him, bad power trip, come to find out the real branch mgr called my husband!, this guy said he aS in charge of the whole place when I asked him, bad for business!, stay away from this place, cannote be trusted. We have lived in other states we have been to so many dealership have not experience such mediocre service. To add insult to injury as we ask for nestorse card to say , we will think about the deal!, that rude Jack guy, had nerve to tell nestor in front of us, give me your next customer nestor, in a very condescending manner! Again, he needs a desk job, no people skills what so ever, thank god we landed a way better deal!

First, let me start off by saying the service dept and express lane have fantastic service.

Now, let's talk about my sale.  I'm sure there will be a generic response to this review as with the others, but here are the specifics.

I purchased my vehicle at Tropical Ford and had trouble financing due to being in the middle of rebuilding my credit.  Tropical Ford was able to find me financing.  However, it was a high interest rate PLUS they charged me an extra $1500.00.  I asked several times about this fee and they told me it was paid to finance company due to challenged credit.  Since several people told me this, I accepted it.

When the bank called me to verify the information, I asked about this $1500.00 fee. I was transferred several times to several people and each person stated they never heard about this fee.  I sent several letters and only when I sent one certified did I get a response that stated if I didn't want to pay a fee why did I buy the car.

I had no problem with the fee if it was justified.  I ended up filing a BBB complaint, where they sent in incorrect paperwork, explained charges on the contract are put under accessories if they don't have a spot for it.  Tropical Ford NEVER responded to the query from BBB when I asked for a contact at the bank to verify the information.  This case was closed yesterday as Unresolved due to failure of merchant to respond.

So now my attorney is advising me what to do, including following the BBB suggestions of notifying the Florida Department of Consumer Services and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

Great place for an oil change but BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!

This place has gone down hill dramatically since they opened in the 1980s. I remember one time in the early 1990s, I went there in search of a part for my Ford van. The parts staff was so nice. They did not have what I needed in stock, but they had one out of the box, so the lady working the parts counter just gave it to me because she could not sell it out of the box. I never forgot that personal service.  

Today, I went shopping for a new truck. Unlike other dealerships, where they greet you at the door and ask you if you want a cup of coffee, I wandered around the showroom for 2 or 3 minutes before someone waited on me. His name was Camacho. Right away the high pressure sales tactics started. When he realized that I was shopping and wasn't going to buy today. He gave me the MSRP price and sales tax and tried to shuffle me out the door as quickly as possible. I told him that I wanted to take a test drive and have an offer written up with incentives and an OTD price, but he told me that his bosses don't want him to do that when they have customers waiting that are going to buy today. He told me they had "four deals working". I then told him that I couldn't believe I was being treated in this manner. He then told me, "look I agree with you, but that's how the people I work for want me to do it. If you're not going to buy today, and they are working deals on people who are going to buy today, then they don't have time to fool with you." He then shared with me that he was looking for other employment. I sincerely hope he finds it.

Visited the service department and was told I needed to change parts that wasn't broken and where they wanted to charge me $3500 for things that were not wrong with the truck.  I took the truck out to another shop and confirmed the parts were way over price and also not needed.

Called the parts department a separate time about getting a key made and the guy at the counter had no idea what I needed.

Considering that all newer cars have electrical systems why would the guy that works on electrical systems only work Tuesday and Thursdays?  The back up camera on our ford transit went out recently making it very dangerous to back up.  Now I'm told I have to wait till later this week to have it looked at and then parts must be ordered.  Unsat!

This dealer sucks. Put a 1500.00 dollar deposit on a Shelby GT 500 almost 2 months ago was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks after almost 2 months checked with Ford Cust. Service did not know a thing. The next day I get a call from Gen. Sales Mgr. And stated we will not be getting your Shelby GT 500. You took my money sent me e-mails saying my car would be in soon. Great way to screw your customers. I want my Shelby.

I was happy to be done with this place when my lease ended. Would not go back. During the lease-end process they couldn't find record of me leasing from them (by name, address, or even by using my SSN). They had to look up my VIN as a last resort.

We also kept having to deal with staff members who fell from the turnip truck. Just not a cohesive or streamlined experience at any point in time.

Recently purchased a new Ford from this dealership.  Although the dealership itself is straight out of the 80's, it's not a bad place.  I wish they offered a few more amenities; like beverages & snacks while you wait.  The building is cavernous and could be a really cool place to hang out and wait while the deal is being built.

Terry, my sales guy, was lovely to work with.  I told him up front that I wasn't into playing games or pressured sales, and he was very low key & respectful.

From start to finish took about 4 hours, part of it was my banks fault as they weren't answering their phones very promptly!

All in all a good dealership to work with.  Bonus perk of free lifetime oil changes!
