Reviews on Sutherlin Nissan Orlando

Wow we read the reviews and decided to give them a chance and boy were we wrong! We live south of Tampa and found a Quest they had posted online. So we called and talked to the internet sales department and let them know we were coming over from Tampa (an hour and a half away) to look at the car. They said sure come on over. We get there and ask to see the car and of course it had been SOLD!!! The manager then gives me a "well sorry about that bud" and sends me on my way. We went right down the road to Reed Nissan and had a great experience. Stay away from this shady place!!!

I will never recommend this place, sales team doesn't know how to do there numbers after a month of having the car they call me to get a co signer because the sales agent add more money to my annual income that I don't make. On top of that I pay same day downpayment and they want to send me a check thru the mail, unbelievable.

Terrible customer servíce.  Never in my life have I been treated like this in such a place. Will not take you seriously, and the associate, Greg was very disrespectful and unwilling to make things work. Don't get a Nissan here, very unprofessional and laughed when we complained about the customer service to the desk. Again, terrible service. Definitely going to shop somewhere else.

First thing to realize: It's a car dealership.  They're not here to save you money or be friendly.  They're going to chip away and make whatever profit they can.

That being said, they're willing to go lower than most of their competition in the area and I like that their cars (at least the ones I saw) aren't loaded with extra "accessories" that inflate the MSRP by a ridiculous amount.  I've been to several other dealerships that put a 'pin stripe' on the paint and argued that is worth 500$.

Car buying can be a long process, and this is true here.  Keep a piece of paper and a pen handy, write down the numbers and offers you're told, and stick to them.  TrueCar (which this dealership uses) is a good way to get a price that you know you can get.

If you know you want a Nissan, and don't want to have to deal with inventory issues this is probably a good place to start.  Big selection, lots of models in stock, and again, competitive pricing.  Just realize you have to keep an eye on fees and make sure they stick to the price you agreed on.

Sales people are very nice.  Even when we ran into a snag and had to negotiate some things with the manager, it never got confrontational or nasty.  They kept it professional throughout the entire process.

As long as you're going into it with some research and willingness to be firm, this is a decent place to get a good deal.

Victor was very helpful and patient trying to find me the right car. Unfortunately Nissan didn't make a car that fit the criteria I was looking for. Had they, I was halfway convinced this was an OK dealership to shop at until I saw two things. The first being this giant wheel that people get to spin when they buy a car. Usually dealerships do this when they make enough money off each car they sell to be able to afford to give something away. They would make your first payment or you could win a trip to Italy...etc. I didn't buy a car so I never got close enough to the wheel to see what other prizes were on there, but it made me wonder where they made all this money, and then I found it.

The "Adjusted Market Value" or BUMP STICKER! As I was browsing the selection of Rouges and Pathfinders, I saw a $6000 bump sticker on one vehicle and a $3000 on another. Victor swiftly replied that was probably on there for the All Wheel Drive that was added, until I pointed out that the All Wheel Drive was added at the factory, as it should be. He stumbled over his reasons while trying to come up with the one he felt would convince me, and failed to find one, finally admitting he didn't know and would have to find out.

Once I saw this tidbit of information, my impression of the dealership went sour, and their rating is a direct reflection of their choice to use this predatory tactic. I understand when a limited production vehicle, like a Ford GT or Lexus LFA, is in high demand, naturally people are willing to pay more to get a slice of rare automotive history. This is justified because the price of the vehicle will likely increase. Nobody should be paying anything close to MSRP for a mass produced cookie-cutter Nissan that will likely end up being worth a fraction of it's original cost in a matter of years.

Here this morning getting two new tires and my alignment done on my Altima..Everyone here has been super helpful and friendly ..I expected everything to come out very expensive but to my surprise was pretty reasonable ...The new location is beautiful and clean! Proud to be an owner of a Nissan...

Most surreal car buying experience ever.

Contacted Aaron the "Internet Sales Manager" online about a used BMW. Immediately got 4 spam e-mails back, none of which answered my question. Eventually after pointing this out in a return e-mail, Aaron answered my question.

Later that day Aaron called me super eager to show me the car that night or the next day. I agreed to come see him the next day to look at the car.

When I got to the lot, Aaron was "busy" and directed me to his sidekick Christian.  Instead of showing me the car since it was raining, Christian they wanted to run my credit to start talking numbers. I pointed out that it seemed insane to me to talk numbers about a car which I'd never seen before. Luckily the rain stopped as soon as I pointed this out, and Christian left to go pull the car around.

Half an hour later, Christian returned.  Don't worry, I wasn't without entertainment for that half hour as another salesman who looked like an asian Elvis (complete with an Elvis background on his computer screen) spent the entire time screaming obscenities into his phone because apparently he lost the key to a car and left the windows down in the rain. Certainly a confidence-boosting thing to watch!

When Christian returned, he mumbled that they had sold the car and tried selling me on several different cars. When I expressed my outrage at the wasted hour, Aaron returned. Aaron said they'd sold the car to a buy here pay here lot down the street who Sutherlin is "friends with." Aaron gave me their cards and told me to go see them and that they'd honor Sutherlin's posted internet price.

When I arrived at the buy here pay here lot, it took all my efforts of persuasion just to get them to show me the car. When they did, I found out why: the car was FULL of McDonalds food. There was literally a half-eaten hamburger on the passenger floor mat, french fries between every seat, crumbs half an inch thick in the cracks of the driver's seat, and a glow in the dark rosary on the back seat to complete the look.  At that point the buy here pay here attendant admitted that they didn't actually own the car but that Sutherlin was just parking it there because they were out of parking lot space. I left having wasted two hours.

Since then I've gotten almost daily spam e-mails from Sutherlin. I e-mailed them and U.S. Marine today about how ridiculous their operation is. All I've gotten back is a form e-mail from Aaron that unfortunately they had sold the car.

Save your time and headache and avoid this shambolic operation.

First and last time at this dealership. Salesman had no clue about inventory and internet sales manager very dishonest in his sales tactics. Complete waste of time!!

Your commercials are obnoxious. Real Radio needs to know that I've turned off their station when I hear you commercial. STOP F-ING YELLING AT ME!!!! That won't make me buy a car from you.

My review is only about my experience with the service center, I did not buy my car from this location.  It was very convenient to book my apt online, they had several available for that same day and they emailed me a confirmation.  The standard nissan policy is that you don't talk to the mechanics but to a clerk who signs you in and documents the problems.  The clerk I worked with was nice enough, but he made me feel as if I was making up the issue I was having with my car, simply because he had never heard of it happening before.  It took them about two hours to look over my car and while I was waiting I was hoping to get some work done and hop on their wifi but it was not working.  They did offer free water bottles and coffee and had a dedicated waiting space with chairs and a tv.  The clerk went over the mechanics findings with me and because they were unable to reproduce the issues I was having there was nothing they could do, from my understanding this is nissan policy, not just this location.  They ran my car through the wash for free when they were done which was a nice perk!

Went through Tru Car pricing.  I called them and advised that I would be driving 1 1/2 hours to get there.  I also advised had some credit problems, that I could put 500 down and needed payment in 250-350 range.  Oh come on down we can absolutely help you.  When I arrived, I was told that I did not qualify for the 2014 Tru car Nissan, but they could get me in a 2011 Ford Fiesta no problem.  I said great! Test drove the vehicle and then told him I would take it.  I was there 3 hours waiting and the sales man came back with the finance person who wanted now 2,000 dollars down or could I get ANYBODY to co-sign for me.  When I said no, he keep hounding me for a cosigner and I told him I had no one.  I finally left.  LIARS and they waste your time.

#1 dealer service customer satisfaction 2014. I think not. No idea how they won this award. Hords of sales men waiting like vultures as I park and head to the service center to meet  my boyfriend who is dropping off his car. After waiting for the first guy who didn't have his listening ears on, he transfers us to another guy. Walk up and this man is on his phone. We have to wait for him to finish texting or whatever he was doing for him to address us. Later, his phone rings and makes us wait while he answers a call from his wife.  Overheard another customer telling an employee that nobody has greeted or addressed them and they have had no direction on who to talk to or where to wait. The response given to them is, "it's really busy."  No apology or rectification.   Even if making an appointment, which we did, plan on being here for awhile. Bright side? I've written this whole post while waiting at the service desk on free Bright house wifi!

This is not about the business itself. The salesman - who did not have his own business card - and the manager were great people. The issue is with their incentive. The incentive was to test drive (NOT BUY) a new NISSAN, and get a $25 Visa Card within 10 days. That was a month ago. Ten days after I went in, I did a follow-up, and 20 days later, STILL no card! Reported to the BBB. So, it's very simple: go for the car, NOT the incentive, which they might take from you like they did with this one.

My first interaction with them was back at their old location on Semoran, back in 2008 when they were Celebrity Nissan. Horrible experience, I ended up buying my car all the way out at Reed Nissan and had been going there since to get my service.

After a management change and huge overhaul (probably bought out?) they moved to this new location and sent out incentives for discounts on scheduled maintenance to the nearby Nissan owners. I figured $50 off my 75k scheduled was enough to put old grudges to rest and give them a shot. I was not disappointed.

The online scheduling system was awesome, I was able to set my appointment with no problems and they were ready and waiting for my car when I arrived. The service manager, Jonathan, was very nice and prompt, explained everything and made sure I was well taken care of.

Lots of amenities - free coffee, donuts and bagels in the lobby which has a nice variety of seating, TV, and free wi-fi. Even has a play area for little kids. I know I won't mind waiting around when I get my next oil change. The complimentary shuttle service worked out perfectly, they took me home right away and were prompt about picking me up. The driver was a sweetheart - come to think of it, everyone I interacted with was super nice.

Clean, friendly place - I was impressed enough to decide I'll keep coming back here instead of trying to work in the trip out to Reed when I need service.
