Took my  2008 VW Passat in for repair of leaking $800  water pump  informed by tech that car has plastic impeller. This is my 3rd repair on water pump. Poor  German  built parts

The cars are very nice but beware of aggressive sales tactics! Be sure you are 100% committed to buying a car on the spot before you go to this dealership.

Haylee here. Thank you guys so much for an absolutely wonderful buying experience. I am in love with my new Jetta SE. Sergio, Alex, Paola and the rest of the David Maus VW North team helped me find exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted. I am so thankful to have worked with you all for my first ever buying experience. I will be recommending you to all of my friends!

Thanks again!
Haylee

My husbands organization works with Volkswagen so when we went in we had a friends and family voucher that with no doubt would not benefit the salesman that much if any.  We presented Lawson our salesman our voucher and he was all smiles and showed me around the lot for over an hour.  I originally had an idea of what I wanted and then decided to go with something completly different after a few test drives.  I left the lot with a 2014 Jetta and I could not be happier.  Gary in finance was absolutly amazing and everyone was so nice.  I highly reccomend purchasing your car from this dealership

I took my car in for its first scheduled service and couldn't have been more impressed by the customer service here!

As a note- I bought my car in Miami, so I haven't had experience with the sales team.

The moment I pulled up a mechanic came right up to my door and greeted me with a big smile. I am new to the whole dealership thing, so he was super helpful right off the bat. I walked into the service center and was lucky to get to work with Karen. She was SO friendly, helpful, and chatty! I loved it! She then led me to the waiting area and as soon as she saw it was a bit full and saw that I'd be using a laptop she led me to the showroom where there were more round tables and chairs. Along the way she pointed out the bathrooms, vending machines, and fridge full of complimentary water bottles.

I sat and used their free wifi for almost 2 hours and got so much work done!

When the technician came by to let me know my car was ready he was also very friendly and answered all of my auto-illiterate questions with a smile.

Last thing- as I was working on my laptop David Maus (yup, from the commercials!), or someone that looked just like him, walked by with his young daughter in his arms and greeted all of us. Now, I'm not gonna lie and say I've not mocked his commercials with my friends, but this was pretty cool. :)

I'll update next time!

My review on this place comes a bit late, since this is from when I purchased my last vehicle. I bought a used Jeep from this location and had a horrendous experience. For one thing, the salesperson had no idea about my car and told me things about it that were not true. Best example is that I was sold the car believing it was under warranty, and when I asked Jeep to take a look at the car after I purchased it, I found out otherwise. When I called David Maus back to tell them about their mistake, their excuse was, "Well, we don't know much about Jeeps." I have a suggestion: DON'T SELL THEM! They didn't seem to care that they had sold me the car thinking I was under warranty, and when I started having problems with the way the vehicle was driving, they didn't care about that either. Because their service department doesn't deal with Jeeps, they couldn't give me an idea as to why my car was acting like the transmission was broken. I had to go to a Jeep dealer and pay good money for them to fix the issues. I understand why this would happen, given that this is not the same brand of car dealership as the one I purchased. But better service would have been nice, or at least a suggestion of where I might go to fix the car.

David Maus did not perform any of the 30,000 maintenance on the car at all. I bought the car at 31k miles and virtually nothing had been done. I spent the rest of my time with the car playing catch-up on maintenance services, since no one there ever bothered to take care of the vehicle. I thought the sales people and service techs were rude and not helpful at all. The experience was so terrible that I will never purchase anything from a David Maus again. Ever.

I have a 2003 Vw Passat, and was having trouble finding places near downtown that would do Volkswagen service.  I was apprehensive about going to a dealership since they can charge excessively.

The service at David Maus was excellent. For all work over $400, they will set you up with a free rental car- super convenient.
Prices reasonable too (I called my old service place back in California to check that I was being charged the standard price for a timing belt service - about $1000).

Called up and got Carlos and he helped me the sales process. we traded in our car for a new one over the phone and online and he delivered it the next day. We are really happy with our 2013 VW Passat. Def. recommend this place to any new car buyer.

We had been shopping around at several dealerships and several vehicle makes and ended up at David Maus very frustrated with the experience we have at other dealerships.  Our issues were around the value of our trade-ins (we were trading two cars at once) and the quality/availability of the cars we wanted.  Angel at David Maus VW North made what other dealers could do look easy.  We were immediately greeted, test driving a car WE LIKED within 10 minutes (our cars were being appraised at the same time as we were driving) and after the test drive was over, Angel had a GREAT offer back to us in a matter of 10 more minutes.  The deal was even better than we expected and asked for!  Rob closed our paperwork quickly and professionally and Paola delivered our cars with equal skill and speed.  The other sales people on the show floor even entertained our 4 year old son while we closed buying him ice cream and a couple toy cars.  These guys blew us away with their service!  Thank you all!

I really liked the Jetta's and had my mind made up to purchase one.   I went through the David Mauss website and within a day I was contacted by Carlos.  I explained to him, I didn't have a way to get to the dealership.  He offered to come pick me up and I agreed. I really had nothing to lose but a few hours of my time.   I didn't feel pressured into buying a vehicle at all; it was probably one of their easiest sales.    I picked David Mauss dealership because I know he is big in helping our community.

All of the folks I had delt with were exceptionally nice (of course right).     The price and payments were exactly what I wanted.    We shall see at the 10,000 mile mark how well their service department is.  I will update this post.

Sales experience was pretty decent, with Brent and Matt being very helpful. Service dept was another story. They were disorganized and pretty rude.  I will be taking my car to the south location next time.

My experience with David Maus was great from Start to Finish. I had a great Salesman Carlos followed my Matt helping Close the deal and getting me to drive home in a New Tiguan that I adore. There was an issue that came up and the Entire service team was prompt, courtesy and most importantly fixed the issue with Great Customer Service. I would HIGHLY recommend David Maus North to anyone that wants 100% Customer Service and Satisfaction! Looking for a vehicle, I would give Carlos Rizo a call for he will make sure you get what you want! Thanks again David Maus Staff! Another 100% satisfied customer!

I had my 10k service last month.  Service-wise, things were great.  Karen Shank was on point today (like last time) and all of the concerns, comments etc. I had about the car were addressed.  My refund was processed (DMVW lost a coordinator that was handling my invoice and it got lost) and my car came out shiny and clean.

The only thing that annoyed me was the TV was preset for "programming that reflected choices preferred by ALL of our customers"... (as noted on the plaque affixed to the wall) and it was locked on a religious station.  I get that people might have different preferences but I was struck by the irony that I avoid religion and church...making the special effort to get service done on a Sunday morning when many religious people are supposed to be participating and I still had to put up with it.  CNN Headline News is pretty safe programming for a diverse audience (noted in various McDonald's visits) and hopefully something equally sterile is presented next visit at 15k.

In the end, DMVW did provide wi-fi so I flicked the TV off (we were first there) and I was able to use Netflix on my phone.  2 episodes of Mad Men later and I was off...

No one likes getting their car serviced, but at least the pleasant attitudes here make it bearable.

I was a tad irked upon my last visit, because they threw in a miscellaneous charge that wasn't included in the provided quote. But, I'm pretty sure that happens everywhere so it won't stop me from coming back.

They are very thorough here and explain in detail what they will be doing. Even if I don't actually understand most of it, I appreciate the explanation.

I purchased a 2007 VW Passat new from the dealership when it was Royal Volkswagen in 2008. The dealership was very friendly and more than helpful to assist  with the purchase. The financing department was pleasant and quick with meeting the terms I expected.

Like most dealerships the value is judged by the service after the sell. At first during the normal maintenance visit the service was amazing and all my concerns were met with the items that needed to be repaired under warranty. All which had service bulletins which is common on most VW's.

They offer a concierge service to take you and pick you up from your choice of destination while your vehicle is being serviced. Emphasis are placed on customer satisfaction from the service department and recorded with a phone call after your service experience is completed.

I was thrilled with my purchase so much that I referred a friend to the dealership, and was told that I would receive $150 referral fee since they purchased a vehicle. I never received the referral in the mail so I made an inquiry my next visit while requesting assistance with faulty suspension.

They advised that I would receive the referral on Monday since I was there on the weekend they would not be able to print a check. They also stated that they were of the squeaking noise coming from the suspension and had to order new bushings for the control arm to repair the noise.

Monday rolls around and no phone call, I waited for the parts to come in for the suspension the next week and dropped the car off for service.  They advised that the saleswoman no longer worked there at the dealership for the referral so they would not be able to assist me. No Big Deal.

After I pick the car up the noise was absent for about a day and then it returned and I found a service rag near the accessory belt being burned from friction.  I brought the car back in the next oil change around 2 months later and they said the tires where wearing uneven and I needed an alignment. I advised that they were uneven due to the lack of alignment completed after changing the bushing on the control arms.  After fighting for 15 minutes they agreed to rotate the tires and align the front end but charged me $5 for rotating the tires to correct the issue they caused.

They denied that the car was still making noise with the suspension and told me I was hearing things. I asked for the service manager and took him for a ride and he pretended not to hear anything again. I then pulled in front of the service department and several customers standing outside made a statement that they heard the noise clearly. The service manager then admitted to the issue and said he was ordering the struts and would call when they came in like the referral.

Never heard from them and when David Maus purchased the dealership they kept the same service crew and manager. I don't think this has anything to do with David Maus directly but the service staff is still the same and I have yet to get the issue resolved a year later.

The David Maus Volkswagen in Orlando off of OBT has amazing service, and I am sure my experience at this location for others may differ from mine.
