I bought a used CPO Passat here recently. I've been back several times for very small details and maintenance but from my start with Sheldon in Sales to the back end with service and parts with Chris, Dominick, and Valis. I have found everyone to assume full responsibility for their work and exercise strong customer service. Consistently making sure I was happy has been #1. I'm not one just to write a review just bc, and if you look I don't write one or a positive one often. Very Happy!

Service review.  I don't know if this is simply a horrible service center or if VW is going down the tubes.  I drive up from the Keys so it's a two hour trip, and they never are ready for my car, won't even RENT me a loaner for a four-hour service.  They mumble over the phone, act like customers are a pain to answer (just try calling them) and help.  A lazy group of people who act like they hate their job and customers.  Also among the most expensive service rates around.  Poor attitude and service.

Avoid this place at all cost.   I have had my VW for a little over four years and have been to service over 20 times for non maintenance issues.  I don't think they know how to fix issues or I have a lemon.  

VW even extended my warranty for an extra year.     Of course now out of warranty, all of my problems are unrelated to the original fix and I  have to foot the bill.    

My last time in, the service advisor recommended that I should trade in the car.   NOW THAT'S SERVICE.

I love the car when it is on the road, but I can no longer deal with incompetence.  I will be getting rid of the car and will never own a VW again.

I would recommend their sales department, but will not recommend their SERVICE department. I took my car for checking my EPC light that was intermittently coming on and off on my Tiguan, and not only could they not fix it  under warranty but it now had the check engine light on and a whining noise coming out from the engine when we left the dealership as if they had sabotaged it.

We had to take it to our private mechanic.

I'm not sure why this place has such terrible reviews-- I assume car dealerships are places where angry consumers enjoy gathering like witches on all-hallows-eve.

This is my second time visiting this location, this time for my 30,000 mile scheduled maintenance.

Yep, that's right, 3 years of complimentary synthetic oil changes, tire rotations, air filter changes, and fluid top-offs. Did I mention it is FREE? Talk about saving a pretty penny-- I am dreading the day I have to pay $85 for just an oil change and tire rotation. Sigh.

I made my appointment for 9am the day before and arrived at 8:40 the day of. They took me in right away, and by 8:50 I was in the waiting area, sipping on a cup of Nescafé for 75c (I wanted the French vanilla but regular coffee, Cuban coffee, and espresso are free)

1 hour and 40 minutes  later I was sitting in my car driving down US 1 with the sun, not the "service " light, shining on my face. Not the fastest at all...but I guess they were doing a lot to my car. This part was also disappointing because I had work at 11, hence my 9am appointment.

Perhaps it is because I make my appointments early in the morning, but I've never experienced the oily/greasy smell left in my car by the technicians like other people have.

Overall, a slow, but nice dealership. They don't try to sell you stuff, and I saw them welcome every single person, whether walk in or appointment, with a smile and a "don't worry, I'll take care of that!"

When inquiring about a 2014 VW Jetta in mid-Aug, I was told that they'd be available in mid-Nov & that the now-forgotten sales person would call me. The following weekend, I went to Vista VW who had numerous 2014 models available, & I came home with one that same day.  I've never heard back from the South Motors sales person.

Paul Jacobson contacted me in response to an online request I made for information. He was efficient, kind, and receptive. I've had terrible buying experiences with other dealers (including a VW dealership in Broward) but my experience here was great. If you want a good deal on a VW and are anywhere in the South Florida area, I strongly recommend giving Paul a call. He works over the internet, so you'll be spending very little time and the reward is terrific.  I love my new Passat.

Read the dealerrater.com reviews on this dealer and you won't be surprised why they have one star. This dealer consistently fails its customers. It's  time the owner of the dealer takes note at how rude and poor his service department is run and fires his service manager. I will never deal with South Motors Volkswagen again. It's time for a change. A change for the better and a little courtesy. It's time they stop attacking the customer to cover their inequities. Just honor the warranty and stop trying to yell at customers to make them go away. Avoid a headache and just go to Gunther Volkswagen.

The best car buying exeperience in years! P Jacobson and the salesman S Medina were a class act! We negotiated the deal via several emails, and when I went down to the dealership, they really took the time to review all specs and honored the deal they had given me earlier. No hidden charges, no trying to sell stuff you dont need, no trying to squeeze more money out of you, which is a common practice at various other dealers everywhere else. No hassle, always pleasant and informative throughout the entire process. Highly recommended the service of these two gentlemen at this dealership!

This is the worst sales/service experience I have had during my whole life!!!

I USUALLY DON'T WRITE REVIEWS ON INTERNET, BUT THEY DESERVE THIS ONE!

We bought a pre-owned Jetta 2006. The car is fine however people working there are  totally not professional at all!

When we picked it up, the battery was empty and they were telling us that this was normal because blablabla "don't worry, we checked the car and everything is working properly".... ok..... After few miles 2 orange lights came up on the screen... Went back to the garage the next day a bit disappointed. They told me that they will take care of it but that I have to come back the next week because they needed to order a piece.

I came back the next week, gave it to the service and they told me to come back in 2 hours... ok... I came back after 2 hours... and the guy at the service told me "I am sorry but we did not receive the piece, I don't know what happened" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Couldn't you have call me?!!?!?!?

I came back two days later... and asked to change a light bulb that died in between. For the light bulb they had the insolence to ask 40$ and to wait 40 more minutes....EXCUSE ME!??!!! After I told them that it was the worst experience I have been through and this is the worst garage I have ever been to they finally decided to change the light bulb in 5 min for free... Pfffff

Lately I had to call their accounting department... After calling 3 different persons and getting 3 different extension numbers I finally got the accounting person. THE MOST RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY PERSON I HAVE BEEN TALKING FOR A LONG TIME!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY KIND OF BUSINESS WITH VW SOUTH MOTORS!!!

Brought my EOS in because the sound from the radio wasn't working.  After putting it through hours of computer tests, they determined the radio was dead, and said a new factory stereo was $2,100 plus labor.  I took the car to a car stereo installation place and they discovered that there were 3 blown fuses and the radio was in perfect order.  Sounds like this VW dealer is trying to make money by committing fraud on customers.  I even asked them to check the fuses when I brought the car in.

I went to South Motors VW with a friend to get his VW serviced today.  I was very impressed with the high level of service he received.  I have a VW as well and will start having it serviced at South Motors from here on out.

Buying or leasing a car can be a horrible experience. I personally enjoy the process as I like to negotiate via email. The great thing about South Motors VW is that the Internet department gave me the best deal from the beginning. Paul Jacobsen gave me an incredible deal from since my first request. I began negotiating a month in advance and the other dealers took weeks to bring the price down to what Paul offered me in the beginning. Paul was also the only one willing to give me the price in writing since day 1. The day I got the car, I had a great experience with him, Edwidge (Internet sales manager), and Charlie (finance manager). If you want a great car buying experience, just ask for Paul. Oh, ya.... I love the car too! Nothing like a German car!

Our salesman Sheldon was hands down the best salesman I've ever dealt with. The color I wanted was not available but he still took me all over the lot to see if he could find something that suited me. He was extremely patient. Now that is customer service. I found the car I wanted with the right price tag and it was absolutely hassle free. I will definitely be returning to him!

South Motors has great prices and the service is really good. I recommend  Paul.he's the best sales man, no pressure,he explains everything , no rush, great deal for my new Tiguan:) highly recommend  them

Big thumbs up to Aldo and Luis at South Motors Volkswagon.

I started looking for a VW GLI, however was not very successful with the few VW dealerships I visited, I called South Motors Volkswagon and was told that they had a GLI in stock, and that I could come in and test drive the vehicle. Upon arrival which was after eight, as I work in downtown, Luis had already pulled the car in the front of the dealership. I test drove the car and after a few negotiations with Luis and Aldo, I signed for the car the same night, this was after looking for a car for the past three weeks.

I was really impressed with the level of service and the fact that the team was so accomdating to my needs.

Keep up the good work guys!

I LOVE this dealership.  (sorry to see the two other reviews!!!)  This was the second dealership we went to yesterday in search of a vehicle to lease.  Our experience at the first dealership was terrible so I was bracing myself for a similar experience.

As we walked into the showroom, we were welcomed by Silvio Molina. I could tell right away I was going to like him.  He was charming, funny and really got down to business. He wasn't trying to BS us.  We told him which car we were interested in and what we were looking for and he immediately showed us options and got a set of keys for us to test drive.  As we asked questions, he had answers and I really appreciated that he COULD answer questions about the car (that wasn't our experience at the first dealership).  We ended up being torn between two cars and he asked us questions about our lifestyle, our use for the car, etc.  

We left the lot with a car and I think he is the best car salesman I've ever encountered.  I didn't get the feeling he was trying to pull a fast one over us and get a quick sell. He was really patient, funny and understanding.  He also went ahead and scheduled our first 90 day maintenance.  Great customer service. He made the whole transaction really smooth.

We had the same experience with the finance guy.  Totally personable, patient and willing to help us.

I cannot imagine that I am the only person with this experience. There are tons of VWs on the road in Miami.

Pleasant, no hassle experience.

The salesman, Paul, was knowledgeable and pretty casual, allowing plenty of time to browse the small-ish showroom as well as to do some test drives.

Service can be quite busy on weekends, but at least the waiting area is clean, bright and has a nice flat panel.

Parking is limited in the front, with more spaces available near service, which you have to enter through US1 North.

Wow, where do I begin? I usually take my Jetta to the Esserman Dealership in Miami Lakes. But since I moved down south I took it here for an oil change and to have 2 parts replaced. The parts were recalls that they did not have in stock so I had to leave my car for almost 2 days. Upon picking my Jetta, I discovered that my service consultant Roselio Martinez wasn't even there, I called his cell and he said "the parts were replaced but I didn't get a chance to drive the car myself." To make matters worse, they didn't even do the oil change! Never again!!! Esserman VW is the ONLY place I will ever go to from now on.

No feeding frenzy of salesmen.
No pressure for paperwork.
Just a nice salesman who went through the minivan with me, showing me how things work and explaining stuff.

Stopped here to do some comparison shopping when I was in the market. I ultimately bought a Honda Odyssey, but the VW minivan was also quite nice.

True, I came without my husband or father, and in girl world, that means you didn't bring "the money" and weren't serious about buying.
It makes for more pleasant car shopping that way.

i hate this dealer ship. every time that i go get service it takes for ever and a century. the last time that i went to get service i needed to get a weather strip for the driver side but, they didn't have it in stock so, they had to order it for me but, ask me if i have gotten it ? NOOOOO! and its been months already. i have called the dealer ship and asked to be transfered to the service or parts department and everything that i call they transfer me from person to person and then hang up on me. i HATE this dealership.
