Reviews on Palmetto57 Nissan

I take my nissan maxima SV 2010  to be serviced in here and I have no complaints. The service  advisors are cool to deal with and they take care of your car.

Jaime used to take care of me.

Purchased my current vehicle here 7 years ago.  Still come here for service from time to time.

I didn't particularly enjoy the purchase experience here.  All the tricks were pulled out to get me to purchase a car.  Fortunately (for me) / Unfortunately (for the salesman and Finance Manager at the time), I came with all of my research (buying a car? familiarize yourself with carbuyingtips.com ) so I got a pretty good deal on a brand-new car.  Not sure how things go now as far as tactics used but being an educated customer has never hurt anybody.

All told, I've had a pretty poor owner experience with my car.  Long story short, the car is on it's 3rd (free) transmission.  While this is not specific to this dealership, it explains the majority of my visits.

I try to avoid the service department here because it is very expensive.  I tend to only come when I've had a major issue because of the cost.  This service department has started sending out service coupons throughout the year that come in handy for oil changes & other small necessary maintenance.  But the big stuff is almost going to put you out of house and home.

When I have brought my car in, the service advisor I've enjoyed dealing with, Francisco, has always been very professional and helpful.  He has helped talk me off the ledge quite a few times.  I know a few other people that get service here and they also speak very highly of Francisco.  He makes sure to get customers in and serviced as quick as possible, constantly volunteering updates on how long things are going to be and bringing up any issues found.

Finding a good mechanic is hard.  At the very least, I feel comfortable that the work I get done at this service department will not have to be revisited.  Will they miss problems other than the ones pointed out to them?  Yes.  But that's not specific to this service department - many of them operate the same way.

I can't give 4 stars because I'm not really a fan, but it's necessary that I sometimes have to deal with this dealership.  They are way too expensive, but that's the industry.  I'd give 3.5 stars if I could because of Francisco but, since I can't, 3 stars will have to do.  I'd suggest making an appointment because even though there are a good amount of service bays here, there is always going to be a wait.

Too many cars on lot & Didn't have good inventory on the Rougue. Manager is horrible at negotiations and doesnt give you any type of Pricing out the door. When I got up & left that's when I felt like I was being helped, but at that point I was over this dealership & said goodbye. Head to auto nation nissan. No haggling & they threw in leather seats, tints, full Tank & a bow for my car. :)

This was our first time at this location once we found the service area. There are to many cars all around this lot. One can barely find their way through this mess. Then everything is all clustered. There is no where to park due to the layout of the parking lot. You don't know if the car is for sale or there to be serviced on. Nissan need to find there own lot because this one looks crazy will cars some of everywhere and you barely have enough space to drive and look because you may hit one of the cars for sale. Nissan work on that lot. The service was good. We were in and out thank goodness.

First of All the only reason I'm leaving 1 star is because I couldn't leave a review with out giving a star. WARNING Stay Away from this facility..... They are nice to you just to sell but after that good luck. FALSE Advertisement about Customer Satisfaction and Money Back Warranty. I bought a 2014 Altima and a couple of months later it has been Hell with this car. Car has so many issues, I have been to the dealer 7 times and every time there's new issues with the car. Overall I'm exhausted with the back and forth and The problems with car are still happening. Extremely disappointed with the way that This Dealer and Nissan handle things.

I had a great experiance and I got the deal I wanted with no hassle. Sean Bermudez was a pleasure to deal with.  Moreover, they were able to give me the lease that I wanted and even threw in some extras such as free tinted windows and gas. Amazing experience overall

I have the maintenance service plan from here and have been coming for routine oil changes for about 3 years. The staff is always friendly, they really try to get my car out quick. It does get busy in the weekends though, but I've never waited more than an hour. I just hang out in their waiting area that has couches and tables for a small cafe they have.

This was, by far, the best car shopping experience I've ever had!

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by all the salesmen. I had inquired about a vehicle through the phone, so once I got there and stated my name, there was already someone waiting for me (Bernie) with the car key in hand so that I could test drive my future ride.

Everyone knows buying/leasing cars is a mission. Not because of the complexity of the situation but because it's so time consuming! Well, they made my experience valuable and smooth without cutting corners and remaining thorough. Best of all, they're knowledgeable about their cars! I can't tell you how many times I've been to a dealership and the salesman has made me read the sticker on the car.

Anyway, I definitely recommend these people. Even the finance guys are awesome; they really do try to give you the best deal!

I always get my altima and xterra serviced here regularly.  And I always deal with Anderson,  he  is a real professional.

I called this place and asked if they had the car I was looking for at the price I wanted. I was originally told no, had my appointment canceled, then called back and told yes.

I took a 15 mile drive with my family to this dealership, only to be told I had to sign an online contract in order to get the discount I wanted,

and to have the car delivered. It. Wasn't. Even. On. The. Lot.
On top of that, the price was out of my range, even with the promised special.

Perhaps the service once you get your car is good, but my experience as a potential buyer wasn't so good. Don't get me wrong, the dealer was charming and nice, but took a really long time (and gas money) to get to the truth.

Shopping for a new car can be tough - which is why I postponed it as long as I could.

I finally decided to upgrade Maxine (Nissan Maxima) with a new...well...Maxine of course.
So my search for Maxine II lead me to Palmetto57 (Formerly Esserman Nissan). My dad had bought a car here, so he told me I'd be in good hands.

We got there on Mothers Day Sunday - pretty late - just to check it out. JC (last name Rosario which I will never forget because that's my wife's first name) approached us and asked if we knew what we were looking for.

He explained differences in engines and some other mumbo jumbo I have no idea about such as cylinders and horsepower. I know I am coming off as super manly right? We would come back Monday to seal the deal and he was not the least bit pushy - that I liked.

So we finally decided on a new Maxine. Color? Blue of course - but by pure coincidence. She found me not on the corner of 1st and Amistad but rather on the corner of 57th and the Palmetto. After a test drive, walkthrough, and approval from the old man (pops) - JC took me to Mitra who would do my financing.

Great guy! Explained all the prices on coverage, took care of new plates, got me the best monthly payments possible and wouldn't shake my hand because he was sick and didn't want to pass it to me (I respect that so I gave him an elbow bump.) That's it? I am done? I can make it on time to this amazing Yelp event that I have to be at in an hour? YES! Thanks! DONE!

Off  to Swine I drove in Maxine II. As much as I liked these guys I won't be seeing them for a couple of years. I won't wait as long as I did with Maxine I - that I promise.

3 Stars instead of 5 for a few reasons..

1. The guy who prepped my new car did a crappy, careless, hurried job... I won't go into all the details, but it wasn't good. I had to do it myself when I got home.

2. The car came with what appeared to be a full tank of gas, but when I filled up for the first time, I noticed that the needle actually goes about half an inch beyond the full line on the fuel level indicator.  This tells me they must watch it until it reads "full" to save 1.5 gallons of  the already shitty Marathon gas they are putting into new cars for delivery.

3. There are 15+ salesman circling around like sharks, and 1 finance guy.... It took nearly 3 hours after I decided on a vehicle to get it paid for and get out of there.

My salesman, on the other hand, was EXCELLENT. Best damn car salesman I've ever dealt with.
His name is Vasco, and he is polite, honest, and easy-going.
And the lone finance dude, Carman, is great as well, and does the best he can with the workload they seem to dump on him.
These 2 Gentlemen are the ONLY reason I bought my car here and the ONLY 2 people I would speak to in the entire place. I wouldn't buy a bottle of water from some of the characters they have walking around there.
