Reviews on Auto & Truck Buyers

I bought a used 2002 Porsche from Danny Lima at Auto & Truck Buyers.  Although I had the car inspected by a mechanic near his business,  when the car was shipped to California it was nothing like it appeared in the ad which showed this beautiful yellow Porsche.  So much was not disclosed about the vehicle as far as it's true condition.
I paid $25,000 for this car and when I had my mechanic out here check it out it would have taken another $10,000 to even make it somewhat safe to drive.  Everything started to just fall apart.  First the engine light went on, windows didn't work properly, brakes made noises and needed replacing, clutch was slipping, parts falling off the body, every panel on the car was repainted except for the passenger rear quarter panel, parts missing in the interior and the list went on and on. There weren't even any records of some of the worked claimed to have been done on the car.

I know I bought the car "AS IS" and that I was responsible for making this purchase, but I feel the car was misrepresented and all these little and not so little things were not disclosed.  When I talked to Danny all he did was say it was bought "AS IS" and that he had sold the car for a client of his and wasn't responsible for anything misrepresented by his client.  The car even had a clean CARFAX, which means nothing I guess.
Needless to say, the car wasn't worth keeping and I had to sell it quickly before I had to pay licensing fees and I didn't want to spend another dime to fix anything else.
I had to be honest and told everyone interested exactly what was wrong with the vehicle.  In the end I practically gave it away loosing many thousands in the deal but there was nothing else to do.
So again, have any car you buy checked out thoroughly beforehand.
