They sold me a lemon and did not fill up the gas tank as promised.  Also, instead of replacing the fuel hose to keep from leaking, they simply put a clamp on it which is a DEADLY solution and put my life at risk!  My car could have caught on fire or even worse, EXPLODED!!!

I rate Mike Davidson a 5, only because they are the best, by far, dealership I have ever been to, seriously.  They were helpful when I went in to buy the truck I wanted.  I had no issues and I have never had any issues going back with service or anything else.  By far, a place I will go out of my way to get service done.  Salesman Joey is also great.  He is who I found and talked to about my truck.  Very knowledgeable about the cars and no pressure, at all.  I just wish Mike Davidson was down the road instead of who I actually have down the road.

So long as you drop your vehicle off instead of waiting around, the experience is a positive one. This location is a lot busier than other dealerships I've been to in the area. Mike Davidson's prices are about average, dealership prices. They service just about anything and are close to Regency Mall.

I purchased an F-150 from here.  I don't have any complaints as of yet with my decision. I have almost 15k and haven't had any problems.  The 1st oil change was free but paid for tire rotation.

I made an appointment yesterday to have service done today on my truck. I asked Fran what it would cost to get the "works" done. I told her what I had and she quoted me $39.95. This also includes a complimentary car wash.  I came in and waited for almost 3 hours. When they rang me up the total ended up being almost $51! I asked why it was more than I was quoted and he said because the truck takes more oil than other vehicles. I said that when I asked for the quote I let them know what i had. He said he couldn't do anything about it. I went out to the truck and it was dry as a bone and still dirty. Meaning even after waiting that long I still didn't even get the complimentary wash.  On the plus side John was nice.

My complaint is that I shouldn't feel like I'm purchasing a car when getting serviced. Meaning quoted one thing and paying another. Promised services that you really didn't get. Nice service but doesn't fix the problem. takes forever to finish. Just like when purchasing a car :)

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer that I have consistently taken to Ford dealers for regular service prior to moving here last year. It runs like a champ! ... well it did until I moved to FL and started using this dealer. The service and attention to detail is sub-par. I have been 3 times and that will be the extent of it since I fear they will break something (or neglect to put it back the way it was) when they inspect something. When your concerns about the service department breaking more than they fix, this overshadows the whole point of getting service - and it's time to move on!

Mike Murdoch is scum. I understand that the nature of car dealing is pretty shady in general. Through my recent car searching experience, countless dealers have used various bait and switch tactics and a number of other questionable methods to try to get my business. I never complain about that because I expect it.

In this case, the way I was treated at Mike Davidson Ford was truly unethical. I live in North Carolina, but have been searching for a very particular vehicle for a few weeks now. I found that vehicle at Mike Davidson Ford. I called and spoke w/ Mike Murdoch who took my credit app over the phone and came back with some numbers that I was pre-approved for. We went back and forth a bit on the same day. I recognize that during the negotiation process, nothing is final and there's no guarantee the car will be held for you.

The next day, I called Mike and told him that I wanted the truck and was willing to purchase it sight unseen and ready to handle all the paperwork over the phone. He said that he couldn't accept my trade without seeing it and that he was still waiting on the banks to come through with a firm approval on a 4.9% interest rate for me (I don't have the best credit). I told MIke that I wanted the truck no matter what and was ready to seal the deal over the phone. I told him that I could afford the truck without the trade and that I didn't need a 4.9% rate, that even a 6% rate or whatever he could get me would work. During this same conversation, he told me that someone else was interested in making a deal on the truck, but that it didn't end up going through. This means there was no deal pending that would stand in the way from me buying the truck, if he would have acted on my decision to buy. He said he'd find out what rate he could get me and call me back in 30 minutes (he never called and never answered any of my calls).

A couple hours later, Mike emailed me about how there were challenges with the title of my trade in, which at the time I thought was under my dad's name. They didn't want to do any trade in with a vehicle under my dad's name. This is in spite of me telling him that I don't need to do the trade to make the deal work. He was just putting me off instead of following through with a deal that I was ready to make.

He emailed me again an hour later saying that someone else was interested in a deal on the truck and that I would have to wait until Monday to do anything, since my finance situation was in a 'pending' status due to the numerous recent inquiries on my credit (I had been shopping around).

I ended up driving to Florida, 5 hours away, so that Mike couldn't avoid me or circumvent a deal w/ me any further. When I arrived, I literally saw the new owner getting ready to pull away w/ the truck that I wanted. They sold it.

Mike asked if I was interested in buying something else. I said, "well, even if I am interested, I couldn't leave here with a truck today because of the pending status on my financing, right?" Mike told me that they could still make a deal and I could leave with a truck, they would just finish up the process on Monday.

This means Mike had every ability to make a deal with me over the phone and the excuses he gave me about the 'trade issues' and 'finance pending status' were irrelevant. I was ready to make a deal and Mike kept putting me off because, as he said, "Saturday's are busy and other people are interested in the truck." Maybe I'm wrong to call Mike Murdoch unethical, but I was one of those people interested in the truck, they already had my credit app, and in spite of whatever 'pending' status he referred to, they had the ability to secure a deal with me. He basically discriminated against me because of the distance factor, even though I told him that I wanted to purchase the truck sight unseen (which people do all the time). He overlooked my chance to purchase the truck and waited for others to come along and offered them a chance over me.

My issue has less to do with losing the truck and more to do with him using excuses and giving me the run around when I was ready to make a deal (before other deals in progress), only to find that those excuses he gave me were suddenly not an issue if I wanted to buy a different truck.

Mike Murdoch is scum. Car dealers in general are pretty shifty and I feel sorry for people in that line of work, because it's mostly based on cheating consumers, but Mike Murdoch is even lower than the average car dealer (and he's a Manager at this store). There's no reason he shouldn't have sold me that truck. There's no reason for him to put me off and use irrelevant excuses to keep from selling the truck to me. He knew it was feasible and within my means to purchase the truck and I made it clear that I was ready to purchase the truck, but because of my distance, he used excuses to put me off while he tried to get it sold to someone else locally.

This is the worst service dept I have ever been too. They are way over priced, and there advisors have a horrible attitude and they don't know how to treat people. They try to gouge you on the prices. They are very two faced. They will act nice in the beginning, then when you try to disagree with them, or ask somebody for help, they turn into bullies. I have never been pushed around like this. I would especially stay away from tommy. I went some where else and got the work done for $900 less. I am on my 2nd ford, I know I will not be getting my 3rd from there. They are not the good guys.

In the past I've always hated coming to car dealerships as I'd experienced very uncomfortable high pressure techniques and misinformation. This experience was different, and completely wonderful.   My salesman Mason listened to what I wanted, took all of my needs into consideration and helped me find the perfect car.  He was able to get me pre qualified and the payment and rate I was offered early on was the one I was given when the transaction was finished. EVERYTHING from beginning to end was exactly as stated and there were no unpleasant surprises or disappointments; only happy ones as I am now in a brand new car with some really awesome features!  I never thought I'd not have an SUV, but I LOVE my little car and wouldn't hesitate to send my friends and family to your dealership.  All four gentlemen I dealt with were patient, detailed and respectful and all contributed to a wonderful experience. Thanks for making my new purchase so easy!

Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle some where else.  It will save you time, money, and your sanity if you avoid having it worked on at Mike Davidson Ford.  I took my Ford F150 here after my check engine light came on and there was an unidentified shake coming from the hood when I started the vehicle up.  After a few hours of waiting, they told me they needed to replace the plugs and a coil and that would fix the problem.  I asked them how much it was going to cost and they said $950 dollars.  I thought that was pretty steep but I needed the vehicle to travel for work in 3 days so I told them to go ahead with the labor.  I picked it up the next day and when I got it home (no more than 30 mins after I picked it up) the check engine light came back on and the vehicle was shaking again.  It was a Saturday evening and their service department was already closed so I took it back in that next Monday to get it fixed again.  I talked to the service representative and told him I was pretty upset that I just dropped $950 dollars on my vehicle and nothing had changed and he told me they would take another look at it.  A few hours later he called me and said they were going to have to pull the engine apart and fix the number 4 cylinder ($2800 conservative estimate) .  I asked him why I just put $950 dollars into it if that wasn't going to fix the initial problem and he said "We were HOPING this would fix the problem".  I asked what the check engine light code they initially read was saying and he said it indicated an Engine Malfunction associated with the #4 cylinder.  I asked him if it was the same indication that I originally brought the vehicle in with and he said yes.  I was HOPING not to drop $950 dollars on my truck that didn't do anything but you can see where that got me.  I immediately took my vehicle and left not willing to give Mike Davidson Ford another dime of my money.

When I got back into town this week I took my vehicle to a local mechanic near my house and showed them the work Mike Davidson Ford had done and asked for a second opinion.  The local mechanic told me that none of the initial labor was required or necessary and that I was way over charged for what had been completed.  He did tell me that I needed to have the #4 cylinder replaced and that the dealership should have diagnosed that on the first visit.  This was the icing on the cake.  

Do yourself a favor, the next time you need a maintenance done on your vehicle go anywhere but Mike Davidson Ford.  If your like me, you work too hard for your money to just throw it away on HOPING they are telling you the truth or know what they are doing.
