"We adhere to the philosophy that each customer is a unique individual, deserving of the highest level of service and personal attention" This is a quote from the Land Rover's website.  The management of Land Rover should share their philosophy with their sales associates.  My husband and I visited the dealership last week seriously looking for a 2015 Evoque.  Our experience was as far from personal as you can get.  We were not greeted when we walked in the showroom nor were we acknowledged for several minutes until finally a sales associate passing through the showroom asked if we needed anything.  We explained what we were looking for and he offered up a car to test drive.  He did not accompany us on the drive so when we returned to his office we were hoping to get more information on the different options, etc. Instead he focused on the dealerships purchase policies and wanted us to understand due to high demand they do not discount their vehicles and most of their clients preorder their cars which could take several months.  He explained our trade in would be at the lower end because it would most likely go to auction so the value would have to be lower as they couldn't risk losing money.  This was all discussed within a 5 minute meeting. Patrick then handed us his card and advised us to call him should we have questions.  He never took our contact information.  It was clear that he didn't want our business.  We have purchased several Mercedes over the years and have never, never been treated like this.  Brumo's customer service has been top notch. Unfortunately, they do not have the vehicle we are looking for.  Not feeling comfortable going back to the Jacksonville dealership we decided to talk with the Orlando dealership.  After an internet inquiry we received a phone call from the internet rep from The Fields Group, owner of the Jacksonville location and several other dealerships.  Terrell was very, very friendly and helpful.  He assured us that this is not the type of experience the Field's group would condone. He also explained that we could not work with the Orlando location because we live in Ponte Vedra Beach.  We would have to go back to Jacksonville.  Here we go again...  We are spending over $55k on a car and we can't pick the dealership that we would like to work with?? He said he would assign us to one of the managers in Jacksonville to make sure we are well taken care of this time.  Guess what....have not heard a peep from the dealership.  That was 4 days ago.  It must be nice to have so much business that you can blow off your customers. According to the The Fields group website they pride themselves on less advertising and more referral business.  Really?  Land Rover didn't lose one sale, they lost two. A close friend of ours told us to look into the Evoque because she was planning on purchasing one.  Not anymore...  BTW, we have ordered a Lexus from a dealership that appreciates our business.  It could have been a Land Rover.

FIY: This place seems to be under new management as of the end of 2014.  

What a fantastic experience! The story starts by locating a perfect used car online which Land Rover Jacksonville had on the lot. One phone call and I was connected with Dan Beyette. With a limited time to make the purchase before flying out of the country for a few weeks; I was driving down to Jacksonville 2hrs the next morning. Avoiding my local Land Rover Dealer and the unpleasant experience I had the previous week.  

Arriving at the dealer Dan had the LR4 ready and waiting to test drive; he understood my timeline and won me over with professionalism and honesty. When Dan promises you something he will always deliver. Terms of sale were met and in less then a few hours I was back on the road in my Certified Pre-owed LR4.

Just bought a used Lexus and couldn't be happier with the transaction. Joe the sales manager personally made sure we were well attended to and Andy was top notch.  We didn't feel hassled, pressured or like we were "less important" even as we were surrounded by 100k+ cars.

I'm in California and they had a relatively rare 2004 XKR for sale, William, the sales rep was cordial over the phone and the handled the shipping and the car arrived dirty but undamaged by the ride.  However there were several problems with the car that should have been disclosed, it had been completely repainted suggesting some problem that CarFax didn't show, not a bad job but they painted over a little rust, hadn't prepped the body that well, and the clear coat was lifting in one small spot.  I would have still bought the car but they should have been upfront with this, the bigger problem was there was an engine gas leak that should have been flagged by the dealer safety check as it, had I not had the car fully gone through, would have resulted in a possibly deadly car fire.   The issue was serious as well and cost $2,600 to fix (the injector rail had failed and had to be replaced a $1,600 part with about $1,000 in labor because you have to take off the supercharger).   Because they clearly made a decision that could have put my life at risk I'm recommending against this dealer.  I thought long and hard about writing a bad review because Tata is currently deciding which Jaguar dealers to retain but a life threatening mistake just isn't something you can give a pass to.
