I had already decided to purchase or lease a new Fit before trying this dealership.  They gave me a nice offer on my trade-in, and the offer was good as an outright cash purchase even if I didn't buy from them.  The offer was higher than AutoTrader.

The sales price was very good, and on the day I was coming in to close the deal, my salesman, Rami, let me know Honda had dropped the price, so I received this discount as well.  As it turned out, I did not trade in my car, so they offered to deliver it to my home 75 miles away.

I'm not interested in bargaining, especially when there are unknowns, so this dealership's style worked for me.  I shopped with another dealer, but the comparison was difficult because their cars already had expensive dealer add-ons.  Everyone at Duval was super nice, and I appreciated not having to negotiate.

I scheduled an oil change on my 08 Honda Fit and arrived on time. It was good Friday and really busy. There was a slight misunderstanding (that after understanding what was going on was totally on my part) and I left the dealership.
I called and spoke with the manager and he explained away any concerns I had and said he would take care of me if I returned. When I arrived back at the service center I was greeted by the manager and a tech that took my car back immediately. The manager again apologized (even though they really did nothing wrong) and even comped the service.
I dealt with Tina Clarida who was amazing. Tina had me in and out after I returned in less than 30 minutes. And that includes the wash and vacuum. I have had other service advisors that were great but Tina was tip top. I will return to this dealership without hesitation.

Avoid them for service!

We are traveling in from out of town and needed an oil change. The Honda agreement says that we can schedule a free oil change at any dealership. We did so via Duvall's online program. I called to confirm the appointment and the girl who answered the phone was unable to confirm the Honda agreement. We opted to keep the appointment.

We arrived at 12:05PM, 10 minutes before the scheduled time of our appointment. We were not greeted until 12:10PM. The girl then told us the service advisor we were scheduled with was "not there that day". But, she would find a new advisor by 12:15PM, I said that's fine. She was unable to find us a service advisor until 20 or so minutes after our appointment - in the meantime 3 or 4 people, who were either late for their appointments or did not have appointments were given service advisors. At 12:25PM I had to go inside and find out what was going on. She told me it would be a few more minutes. I pointed out that we had an appointment and that we needed to get going. Finally, the service advisor came over and took the car in. We were told that it would be about an hour and we would get a call when it was ready. We then left. About an hour later (at 1:25PM) we got a call saying the car was done. I told the girl we would be there around 3 or 4 to pick up the car. She said, "That's not possible we close at 2PM, as you were told." I said, "Listen, no one told me that, that's ridiculous that we have to rush back over to pick up the car." She was like "Well you'd better come over fast" So we rushed over and I was not greeted, so I had to poke my head into an office and the gentleman was very brusque, when I inquired as to the location of my keys. He said, "they're over there" motioning to a desk. I went over and spoke to the girl at the desk and she said "That will be $32.15" and handed me my key. I said, "it's covered under our service agreement, I'm not paying" and it said that on the receipt she handed me, as well.

The shoddy service, the lack of punctuality, the poor attitudes from every employee, and the general lack of customer service is ridiculous. Rest assured we will NOT be returning to this dealership.

The only reason I am leaving this review, is because I got an email from Duvall asking me to do so.

I was in the market for a new car but was undecided as to what I wanted to get. I was looking at different makes and models so I visited several dealerships in the area. Duval Honda was by far the best experience. The first time I stopped in to check out the Civic, Van Jones greeted me and showed me different variations and answered my many questions. He was very knowledgeable about the cars they sell. Never once did he try to "size me up" like many sales people will do. He never asked me about finances, budgets, or monthly payments, but instead focused on answering my questions. That was a pleasant change from some of the other dealerships I had visited.

After a few more weeks of shopping and researching, I decided to go back to take a look at the Accord. This time I met with Al Randall, who was equally friendly, courteous, and professional. Again, I got no "hassle" whatsoever. He remained focused on answering my questions and telling me all about the car.

Long story short, I bought the Accord and both Van and Al were great to work with. The dealership is clean and nicely laid out. The people are great. If you're in the market for a new Honda, I highly recommend checking out Duval Honda.

This review is for the Service Department only.

We've been here many, many times for oil changes.  Most of the time, they are done within 30 minutes.  Only a couple of times have we had to wait 45 minutes - one hour.  They do more than those quickie oil change places.  They check all your fluids, do a multi-point inspection, and also wash and vacuum your car at no extra charge.  For all of that, I don't mind waiting a little longer.

Everyone we have dealt with in the service department has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable.  They never try to sell us on things we do not need.  If they do find something wrong during the multi-point inspection, they don't try to sell it to us immediately if we don't need it.  For example, if they see the tread is low on a tire, they will tell us approximately how many more miles they think we have left on the tire before it will blow-out.  I like honesty.  I'm pretty sure most people do.  :D

The waiting area inside is comfortable.  They have a television, an area for children to play, and have one of those coffee machines with options for different flavoured coffee and hot chocolate (all free).

Van Jones is one of the best car salesmen in Jacksonville.
He has all the information you need to make a well informed decision with no pressure.

I brought my father's car in for an oil change. They accidentally charged me $35 for an oil change that was supposed to be $21 + tax and disposal fee.

I should have caught this before I left obviously, but when I come home (don't live in JAX), I have a long list of things I do for my parents.

I did call, however, and within 36 hours I received a call back from John apologizing and correcting for the mistake.

If you like the old bait and switch..this is the place to go, if you like being lied to
and hours of your time wasted, this is the place for you. They are shady and dishonest, slick and deceptive.
