History

Established in 1994.

In the early 1990's the Avenues area was a real growth area for Jacksonville.  In 1994, Coggin Nissan at the Avenues was built to represent Nissan and its customers in the southern Duvall County area.  In 2010 Coggin Nissan at the Avenues became the number one selling Nissan dealer in the region and is still in a great position for tremendous continued growth.  We are also very pleased to announce that sometime this year we will actually start construction on a facelift that will give Coggin Nissan at the Avenues the newer look for Nissan stores.  We are also having our new electric charging stations installed in the new facility as we are getting ready for the all new fully electric Nissan Leaf.  Times are changing!  Nissan is on a roll and Coggin Nissan at the Avenues is rolling as well.

Reviews on Coggin Nissan at the Avenues

BEWARE of the lease process. Had a terrible experience trying to return my leased Altima. As soon as you tell them you're not there to purchase a car, all customer service flies out the window. Several people at the dealership gave me incorrect information as to the process which caused me to make 3 trips before finally being able to turn it in. I live 50 miles from the dealership and it took 2 weeks longer of which I had to continue to pay for insurance on a vehicle I was simply waiting to return. It should be noted this was my 4th Nissan over 12 years and I'm unsure I will ever purchase a Nissan after this experience. If I do it will certainly not be to this dealership.

I never thought I would give the place I get my car serviced a five-star rating but Nissan at the Avenues is top-notch! I've had many awful experiences at Jiffy Lube when I've cheated on the dealership out of convenience but once I discovered how convenient Nissan at the Avenues is to my office, I'm never straying again! I've taken my Altima there for an issue with my glove box on one occasion and an oil change on another. I also had the battery die in my remote and they replaced it and gave me an extra one for free. Whenever I call them, I immediately talk to a friendly person and can always make an appointment around the timeframe I need to, at least within a day or two. There's popcorn and a movie theater room there while you wait and really good coffee. The facilities are clean and most of all, the staff is the friendliest I've ever met at a dealership or place of auto service. I already bragged about them on my Facebook page (it's just such a relief to find a place for auto service that you don't DREAD going to!) and now I'm writing a review here. However, I really wanted to give kudos to Robert Daigle in service who always takes care of me and is so polite and friendly. I hope this review makes it to his manager. I'll see you guys in 3k miles!

Regarding response from Nissan on my Review of Nissan at the Avenues. Look up my last review it should be the one before this one.

We received a response to that Review: They said to call and they would get things squared away. The same people my husband Paul has been calling at their office and consumer affairs for weeks now (and has spoke to the person who reasponded personally, Lola). Everyones answer is "we can't help you."

Your GM that left made this last contract (was dirty in the paperwork). My husband didn't sign anything saying he was paying $4,000 down. I don't know what your company did but no one asked for money at signing. The financing company says they have all they need. So now you are after us for the $4,000. If we don't make our car payment by next week we will be late on it. That's ridiculous! Our first contract you couldn't get financing we went through hell to get this deal and it was a botched one with a GM that probably was fired for doing things like this.

We have now owned 5 Nissan's and this is how we are treated. Manzel is the one that did the contract the GM worked out over the phone with my husband. Now Manzel (who ripped the new contract up in front of my husband since it was missing gap insurance and he re-did it). Manzel now calls my husband for a $4000 down payment.

This has been going on since August and we get ignored unless YOU ALL want something. Everything has been slimy and dirty and no one wants to help us.

I hope that something can get resolved (the payments we agreed upon from the beginning). You will be losing 2 Nissan costumers if not and I'll will make sure as many people know about your locations crooked ways, and to STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

We have contacted the Local News and we hope to hear from someone at your company soon.

Got my oil changed in less than 30 minutes! Bill, the service provider, was a super pro. He was knowledgeable in his craft made me feel right about choosing this location for servicing my vehicle.

The facility had a mini movie theatre for guests waiting for their vehicles, so I actually didn't mind waiting. They also, offer complimentary car washes so check em out!

I bought a used Toyota 4runner, in terrific condition...except for the cracked dash. As part of the purchase they agreed to fix the dash. I took a day off a few days later and drove across town  to find out the dash couldn't be repaired. They agreed to fix it..weeks go by and no response or returned calls or updates! I call numerous times with nothing... I drive 45 min across town and show up to excuses! Apparently, it was ordered and then the supplier...blah blah blah! 2 months later I drive 45 min AGAIN to finally drop it off to have it replaced. The next day I drive 45 min AGAIN and arrive in the afternoon as directed and they say they need another day!!!!!!!! Two months and days off work and were just getting somewhere!!!!!!!! Totally unprofessional and slow!!!!

In June, 2014, I leased a 2014 Frontier from Coggin Nissan at the Avenues.  Sent an on-line credit app. DID THE MAJORITY OF THE NEGOTIATING OVER THE PHONE. I didn't lease the more affordable truck I wanted, they had sold it right before I arrived (?).  There's more to this story, but in short...This dealership uses a sales technique that is illegal in many states, and that LEGIT DEALERSHIPS FROWN UPON.  The practice is known as Yo-Yo-ing, or Flush Four, or On Spot Sale (ref: Edmunds.com , HG Legal.com )  Here's how it works:  You negotiate the deal based on your credit score, trade-in, etc., you sign the contracts, next you go into the financing office where you sign more contracts. Registrations for vehicles (if you had a trade-in) are exchanged, keys turned over, etc., etc. Exactly like your average car purchase, right? A few days, or in my case, a few weeks later, you receive a call from the dealer.  They say they cannot discuss it over the phone, something to do with banking, and that you must come in.  When you arrive, they keep you waiting, which is part of this currently 'legal scam', they want you to feel pressured.  They finally take you to an out-of-the-way office where they notify you that your financing did not go through according to the terms of your contract, and that you have to give them more/money down, or increase your payments.  They're betting you'll go along because you've become attached to the vehicle. I did not...but it was a huge hassle. The LIE is in telling you there was no time to have the financing approved before you drove off the lot, thus the 'on spot' sale'.  There's a reason it's illegal in many states.  If you care to learn more, simply type Yo-Yo-ing/automobile sales into your browser, or visit Edmunds.com , Cars.com , HG Legal.com and more.  Lesson learned: Work with a reputable dealer, ask for proof that the financing is complete, or use your own.

Love my service guy Jai!  He definitely takes good care of me every time I come in for service.  He always looks for coupons or deals he can offer on my visits so I don't feel like they're gouging me for as much money as they can squeeze out.  I feel like they're interested more in the longtime relationship and I don't want to go anywhere else.

just a tip for the service staff: if someone comes in with an issue (even if they are wrong) DONT talk about them behind their back and in front of other customers waiting. Super tacky. :/ One of them is actually the guy that was going to give me a "deal" on my next oil change, for 19.95, and failed to notice I have maintenance plan that totally takes care of it. hit and miss here.

We bought a 2013 Nissan Juke here. Corrie, the internet sales manager was tops. The finance team left ALOT to be desired, especially considering we qualified for a sub 3% loan, I feel truly bad for those in the sub prime category having to work with them.  To get the deal done, we actually walked out. Follow up has been good for the most part, although a bit slow on notifying us that one part that had to be ordered actually arrived ad was ready for pickup.

For those of you not familiar, I am, in fact, a tiny little lady. Something about walking into a car dealership immediately puts a target on the foreheads of myself and those like me. My brothers are both former mechanics and huge car buffs and I try whenever possible to avoid making them do routine maintenance on my vehicle (makes them more prone to take my phone call when I only ask for things like that in the case of extreme emergencies). My brother has always suggested that I take my cars to their respective brand's dealership for routine maintenance. Therefore, I take my Nissan to Coggin Nissan.

I've had my car serviced here 3 or 4 times now and I'd like to point out some very important contributing factors in my repeated visits (ladies, you'll want to pay attention to these):

1) I have never been made to feel as though I am being charged for a service I don't need. Let me say that again: There has not been a single occurrence where I felt that the mechanics or the service staff was telling me something even remotely dishonest about the current state of my vehicle. They change my oil, they list exactly what is pending attention outside of the maintenance I've requested them to perform, they give me a price on the cost and they politely encourage me to give them a call when I'm ready to have said repairs made. Without exception, their diagnostic analyses have been accurate and comprehensive.

2) They remind me of my upcoming maintenance deadlines. I get a personalized piece of mail showing the estimated mileage on my vehicle (based off of the time of my last visit) and an explanation of what mileage requires what inspections. All of it is in line with what is listed in my owners manual.

3) Their waiting room is PERFECT. Someone was obviously paying attention and decided to accommodate people's normal annoyances associated with dealership waiting rooms. There is a theater room with an updated movie always playing. There are refreshments. There is a game room for the kids, and there is a little shop with car accessories (you know, the things you always kick yourself for forgetting to pick up for your car when you're normally at the store). I usually go in on a Saturday morning/early afternoon and I've not once even noticed how long I've had to wait because the waiting area is so comfortable. Even so, their wait times are always reasonable, even when they're busy.

Getting my oil changed is akin to getting a filling in terms of experiences I absolutely detest, but Coggin Nissan makes this experience more than bearable, and believe me that's difficult for me to even comprehend.

If I could rate lesser than 1 star I would. 5 months ago I had my oil changed and my tires rotated. When I left due to a scratch on my 2 pass side rims I noticed they never rotated my tires. I couldn't prove it so I decided to give them a second chance. Well today I did. What a mistake. Oil change and tire rotation took 3 hours. When I dropped the car off i asked how long for a new FOB to be programmed as well as the oil and tire service.I was told 1.5 hours max. So I said great here is my key. Every time I checked it the reply was he is almost done. They said they were very busy yet there was 3 people in the waiting area and very few cars pulling up front. I will never go back nor would I ever recommend their service dept. I will also be sending an email to the service manager tonight.

Bought a car from them.  Three days later, a guy with no insurance and a suspended license runs a red light and totals my new car.  USAA says they'll pay for everything to get me another brand new car.  I tell them I want the exact same thing as before including the 60 month payment plan.

Even though USAA bought me an 07 instead of another 06, which wasn't available, I noticed my monthly payments went down.  When I asked about it, COGGIN NISSAN AT THE AVENUES SAID, "Well, your credit went up since you paid off your other car so fast, so your payment went down."  I assumed they were telling the truth because USAA had been great about everything and signed the papers.

Over a year later, I realized they had switched my payment plan to 75 MONTHS!!!  Not 72 (which would be 6 years), but 6 years and 3 months--it must be some maximum thing.  A$$hats.

I know all car dealerships are slimey, but these guys had a sure sale via USAA paying them their full price for a new car, and they STILL found a way to squeeze some more money out of me.

I pray for hailstorms in their area.

Horrible customer service. I would not buy a Nissan based on the experience I had here this morning.

Best service dept. I have ever used.  The service is why I have purchased 2 cars from them and will continue to purchase my cars there.
Jai is very professional in all of his duties and the entire Service staff is top of the line.

We are a two car Coggin Nissan family.  We have been purchasing multiple vehicles through this specific location for over 10 years.

When we have needed to go in for recall or tune up service we always choose to do so through this dealerships automotive service department.  Now usually taking your car in to be serviced is an unpleasant inconvenience, but this group really does show its customer appreciation in a spectacular way!

Movie theater - Yes there is a movie theater that plays popular dvd movies for those of you who choose to wait for service completion.  There is a popcorn machine located next to this area to enhance that experience as well!  How cool is that?!

Vending machine galore - I am talking multiple out of the ordinary machines that carry sandwiches, microwavable foods, ice creams, drinks such as Red Bulls and Gatorade and so much more.

Coffee - Cappuccino's my fav!!

Limo Van Service - These friendly drivers can get you back to work for those morning drop off's.

Fast, Efficient and Friendly - The Service Supervisors always walk through the issues I may be having with the vehicle and get then get my car in and out of the service process quickly.

All of these little extras really make the customer's normally painful auto service, fun.  I have actually opted to hang out in the showroom and enjoy these extras as opposed to dropping off my car on some occasions!  This is truly a great dealership all around!
