Best customer service EVER. They made me feel at home, and is always a pleasure buying something from someone who knows what they are talking about and love their job! Hubs and I have gotten 2 Cars, one lease and one we bought and we were very pleased! We are already thinking of getting a new lease with the same dealership.

Everyone hates the process of buying a car and the hassle of dealing with salesperson but I gotta say the moment I stepped onto the lot I was treated with the utmost respect. I enjoyed the process of finding the car I wanted without being pressured or ripped off.

Anyone that is looking for a good deal on a car needs to give this dealership there business. My family has purchased 3 cars from this dealership and we have referred 4 friends.

This review only reflects the service department.  I did not interact with sales, nor any other department at Gunther Kia.  But as far as the service dept. goes -- DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR IN FOR SERVICE.  There, you've been warned.  Long story short, I took my car in at about 59,000 miles to fix a problem that was under warranty (traction control light came on and my car wouldn't shift out of park).  Was told it was an electrical problem and that they would fix, at no cost to me (minus the $80 electronic systems check -- but I won't even get into my thoughts on this), since it was under warranty.  So they fixed it and I picked it up the next day.  So far, so good.

HOWEVER, not but 3 months and about 3,800 miles later, same problem.  But now I had gone over the 60,000 mile mark.  So I take the car back to Gunther Kia, lo and behold, the service rep tells me that the problem is no longer under warranty, and that it is going to cost me $600+ to fix.  Are you kidding me?  That's pretty coincidental that the problem reoccurs right after the vehicle comes off of warranty.  Now I'm not saying they set it up to do so, but what I imagine happened is they fixed one small part of the assembly, instead of the entire problem, to get me off the lot, knowing that I'd shortly thereafter have to come back in for the very same problem -- but this time not under warranty.  Whatever the case, they didn't do it properly the first time and were ok with this.  They obviously take no pride in their work, nor do they guarantee it.   So, because of their shoddy work, I was going to have to pay $600+.  That's criminal if you ask me.  That's not the way business is done --- particularly not in this day and age of social media and reviews!  Well, at least there was a happy ending.  I called Kia's national service number, pleaded my case to the rep I was talking to and Kia's corporate office called Gunther and made them fix it at no charge to me.  Thank you Corporate Kia -- you have retained a future customer.  As for Gunther Kia -- you're shameful.   That being said...you've been warned to not take your car there for service.

Most useless service department I've ever encountered (and I owned a Kia for two years now).  My first trying to get an appointment was a joke. Got transferred several times, and on hold for a while, so I gave up and went to a dealership in Palm beach county. Second time, I actually got my appointment set, arrive at the dealership only to find out that appointments have no meaning to them. I would have to sit there for 2 hours, as it was a first come first served and walk-ins get the same treatment as appointments. Walked away and set an appointment at the dealership in Palm Beach where they actually understand the meaning of appointments and the value of a customer's time. Not mention that I got lost in the fustercluck that is their dealership and every single employee I encountered and asked for help was rude.

If you like being mistreated, than this is the dealership for you.

2 Mazda and 2 Kia. Very pleased with the purchase experience for all 4. Some aspects are the same as any other dealer (wait time, delayed sales process, sales workflow, etc), but the people at Gunter have made the difference. Everyone has been nice and very accommodating. I foresee my future cars will be from Gunther.

I had the worst experience here at Gunther. To start, the car sales person lied to me and wouldn't call me back or respond to my e-mail. I was told by another sales rep from Gunther that no one will do anything because I bought a Kia from a Mazda sales rep. I was shocked to hear that cause I bought a car from Gunther Kia and the Mazda sales person works for Gunther Mazda. You would think Gunther would do something about this. I guess not cause I still have not received an apology for my mistreatment from anyone at this company. Instead the one person that told me that nothing could be done also stopped communicating with me. I guess they got their sale and that is all they care about or that is how it seems. The sad part is that I was recommended by someone who has purchased many cars from VW Gunther and unfortunately this person saw a side of Gunther that was never expected and was very displeased. This person was also mistreated within this experience and he too never received an apology from the people that insulted him or the company. To add on to the insult of my experience, the financing department failed to mention that they were changing the paper work despite what we discussed. Unfortunately the paper work was signed, this was a bad decision on my part for trusting that things were handled as agreed, so if you buy a car from here be careful. Read everything and if you are buying a Kia buy it from the Kia sales person. If you are buying a Mazda buy it from the Mazda sales person, etc. However I don't believe that another employee can't be reprimanded for the mistreatment of a customer that is under the same company. I'm still yet to get an apology for the aggravation from this whole experience. I guess I am expecting too much from such a big company like this. I will never buy a car from Gunther or give them any more business. Horrible experience and terrible customer service. I waited to write a review in hoping that they would redeem themselves but after speaking to one last employee, when he called me back he knew exactly who I was and gave me attitude almost immediately. At that point I knew that I will not get any cooperation from anyone here and I just need to let everyone know about my experience with Gunther.

There are several 4 and 5 star reviews that don't show on the first page of Yelp, but you can view them under "not recommended reviews".

In short , the buying experience here was :

Low pressure
Friendly
Laid back

Our sales person was Fernando, new to Gunther but friendly and helpful

Our sales manager was Devin. Also laid back and friendly.

The 2014 Optima Hybrid loaded rocks. One of the best cars I've ever driven. It's better equipped than my Lexus and drives better.

I read some of the other 1-3 star ratings in here. For one in particular, if you had showed up at MY place of business without needed paperwork or some sob story, I'd think you were wasting my time too. That's your fault, not the dealers.

But if you approach a business ready to do business and you've already done your due-diligence ,then you're going to expect a much better outcome.

About the only "bad" thing I can say is the process took longer than it should have, but you can pretty much count on blowing an entire day if you're gonna buy a car, so no big deal.

After reviewing dozens of cars, I had decided on a very particular trim model 2014 Kia Optima that was only available at Gunther Kia. I had already been in contact with a salesman via email who was kind enough to provide me with a decent sale price for the car.

When I arrived for my appointment, the original salesman was unavailable so I was referred to Gustavo, who was very polite. However, when it came time to talk numbers, my experience then began to go south.

Naturally, I began by making an offer slightly below the quoted sale price. Gus wrote down my offer and advised that all negotiations are done with the GM, Devin.

He then advised that it was standard procedure to present my current car title along with my offer to the GM in order to begin negotiations. Gus explained that Devin won't discuss it unless I  "show that I was serious".

I had several problems with this. I also did not have a copy of the title with me. Gus explained that if i didn't have my title, I would have to provide a credit card instead.

I did not feel comfortable having to provide a credit card just to get the GM in the room to talk. Gus still insisted, handing me an envelope to place my credit card in. After I refused, he then asked if he could instead take my watch..... seriously.

I very politely asked Gus to tell the GM, Devin, that I am not willing to provide anything until he meets with me to agree on a price for the vehicle. Only then will I provide all documentation necessary. I was made to wait over 30 minutes for Devin to come into the office.

Devin never mentioned the credit card or watch. He only asked for me to justify my offer, which was fine. After I explained, I asked him to counter with whatever his best price was. He stalled for about 20 minutes with general chit-chat while he typed on a computer. He then calculated his best price... $3,000 over the original quoted "Sale Price".

We were obviously moving in the wrong direction.

After pointing this out, Devin finally came up with a number that was very reasonable, however, it was still higher than what my wife and I agreed to for a same-day purchase. I was gonna have to talk it over with her. Devin said to let him know when I make a decision.

When I got home that evening, I immediately emailed Gus a recap of the numbers provided by Devin. I also left  him a voice mail indicating that I was still interested . He did respond with one email and one phone call, asking me to call him when I was ready.

In the week since I was at Gunther Kia, I have left 3 more emails and two voice messages for Gus, all without any response. I also called two other times, only to be transferred around. I had all intentions of accepting their offer but apparentky they didn't want to talk to me. Maybe it's because I wouldn't give them my watch.

Now I will be doing business with another dealership.

*alert* do not purchase the prepaid service option when you purchase a car here. it is a rip off. when you go to get your car serviced, be prepared to spend an average time of 3 hours. i have been here since 0815 and it is now 1145 just getting an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. when i take my work vehicle to weston nissan, it takes 30 minutes there, why does it takes 300% longer at gunther kia? dont hate yourself, just take your kia to a shop for service.

Ah, the wretched car leasing experience. I dread the whole industry all together but I was in the market for a good lease and I only wanted an Optima. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and initially was not greeted by a salesman and immediately frustrated. I decided to wait around for a salesman and was greeted by a short gentleman named Hermiz.

After a grueling 6 hours I walked out of Gunther with a deal I could not refuse. I got a 2013 Kia optima for $227.00/ month. A deal not to be believed. Because of the patience and willingness to work with me, I walked out a happy customer. Even the manager came in and helped me out with the deal.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my car leasing experience here at Gunther Kia. Everyone is very friendly and will work with you no matter what the situation. Hopefully you will have as great of an experience I did! Tell them I sent you!

Probably the best new car buying experience ever!  This is the first time in 15 years that I have NOT purchased a car through the internet.  Omar the salesman and Albert his manager are true professionals and put respect back into their industry.  I was very skeptical in speaking with Albert.  I told him that I will be coming in with all of my internet homework! He actually came in $50 less and paid off the balance (which was close to the retail value) of my trade in!  There was no running back and forth to the Car God as I call them over the deal.  My credit is less than perfect and he was able to get me approved with a good rate.  He also had me come in a few days later to sign another contact as the finance manager found a lower rate!  Who does that now days!!?!?  Gunther Kia is the best!!

I called on Monday to order parts that are only available through the dealer.
The gentleman in the wholesale parts department told me my part would be there Wednesday, and to come pick it up with my tax ID in hand. Simple enough, right?

When I called Wednesday morning, the same guy had no idea who I was. He didn't remember me, my problem, or what I needed from less than 48 hours prior. He then proceeded to look up the part and tell me "we don't have it in stock." I then explained to him that he told me on Monday to just come in Wednesday morning with my tax ID and the part would be there.
Right about then he changed his story to "no, I told you I needed your tax ID BEFORE i could order the part."  This was entirely false. Those who know me know that I take care of business and if he needed my tax ID on Monday, he would have had it in his hand.   I don't appreciate being forgotten, then lied to.

There are plenty of Kia dealers in South Florida. Choose another one and leave these bullshit artists behind.
