Horrendous experience.. In short, 5 hrs for Tire Svc. They broke my key, drained the battery, AND did not fix the issue taken in for...

I came in for a reg oil chg service and I was told I needed new tires. I had bought 4 tires only 20k miles ago from them. So I was told the new tires would be prorated. I came back for the 2nd appt. No one let me know how long it would be. At 1.5 hrs I look for the advisor. Told they're working on it. 2.5 hrs, same thing. It took 5hrs to get done. When I get the car key, it's broken. The keyless entry does not work and I cant start the car unless the key is in the ignition. Unbelievable! When I get the car started, the hybrid battery is completely drained and the gas tank is lower by a 3rd. Really? The only explanation is that the car was on and idle for hours. It GETS WORSE the TIRE Gauge lights comes on before I get home!!!!  Now for the 3rd time in dealership HELL..

When I shook Chris' hand I could immediately feel the common respect of manliness and the shared love of bacon and other manly things. We discussed at length the pros and cons of a Camry as my man-mobile. He had great knowledge of of the features of the car including the V6 engine and the strategically positioned 8 beer holders. After the test drive I went home to ponder on the purchase rationally as a man would do. This morning I noticed I literally had more hair on my chest. 10/10 would work with Chris again.

I brought my 2014 Tundra Crewmax in for the 10,000 mile service and although the service was performed in a reasonable amount of time, the truck had dirty greasy handprints where they shut the hood. The service advisor told me that the truck would be washed after the service but that was never done.

Berly was my sales person and he was always pleasant and made the whole experience excellent from start to finish. Even when I came back for my first service he was helpful in expediting the process even though it had nothing going to do with him. Ask for him and you would think be disappointed.

These guys were awesome.  Wasn't even seriously looking at a Toyota - am now the very proud owner of a brand new one!!  

We showed up kinda late the other night, only because the other dealerships had already closed, ran into a sales rep as he was out the door headed home.   He dropped everything and gave us his undivided, gracious, and very informative attention as we test drove a couple of vehicles.  

We went back the next night ready to deal and it wasn't even necessary - Jason Dorfman (who met us there on his day off) helped  us into the right car at the right price WITHOUT the drama!   Couldn't be happier that we stumbled upon this dealership.   Next car - we head there first!!

I accompanied someone here who had a 10:15 AM appointment on a recent Sunday morning. When we got to the dealership, we waited about 10 minutes before one of us went inside to find an attendant, as no one had approached the vehicle (parked in the service lane) as they usually do.

When an employee finally came up to us, he basically told us they were short-staffed and it would be an hour and a half for a simple oil change, which in the past has taken 45 minutes from start to finish (and that was a generous estimate considering the customers already ahead of us).

Thanks but no thanks - if you tell your customers that Sunday morning is "not a busy time at all", but then don't have adequate amount of staff on hand to at least manage the flow, it leaves a bad impression.

Second time coming here and it was amazing!!! My experience was great couldn't go any better I was so happy the whole time there be prepared to wait because the wait is a wait!!! And paper work an all transaction take time so be patient.  I told them what I wanted what I didn't like and what I was willing to pay and so they did as I said with no doubt. Brought the car test drived it and I fell in love!! I recommend every one to come here.

I purchased my car here. I was promised the world. My Camry had a few little dings and scratches, which they promised I could return and they would fix at no cost and after my purchase was a done deal, they acted like they had no knowledge of so guess what - my car still has those dings and scratches. :/ They promised me a full set of Camry floor mats since the car didn't initially have any, guess what? I didn't get those either. Whatever.

Since it's a Toyota, I thought I should take it here for service as well. I was an idiot. I took it there for it's first oil change. After I drove it around for a couple of days, I smelled something funny and after my husband took a look, he found that there was oil EVERYWHERE in my engine. They had done something incorrect and all the oil had exploded all over my engine from the oil change. We had to pitch a fit for them to fix it. In this instance, the service manger, Shawn Pickering, was actually a decent human being and helped us get it taken care of but it was still an HOURS long ordeal.

After that, I took it elsewhere for quite a long time for service. Then I made a very stupid choice and took it here once more for service this past Saturday. I had noticed oil in my driveway so I knew I had a small oil leak. They gave me an oil change, told me I had a pinched gasket, told me it was minor and fixed, charged me $33 and change and sent me on my merry way. Great! But noooo, not so great.

That VERY NIGHT, as I drove home my engine made an awful clinking noise I had never heard before and my oil light was flashing in desperation. I pulled over and checked my oil. It was BONE DRY. They had once again failed to fix a simple problem and had in fact, made it worse.

I couldn't drive my car the entire next day since their service department is closed on Sundays. I had to be inconvenienced on Monday, a day that I work, to go there, demand a rental car, and be late to work and make my children late to school. I was left in the dark all day about the status of my car.

I called at 1:30. Left a message. No call back. Called again at 2:30. Was told some BS and then was told my service advisor would call me when he knew it was 100% correct to ensure this would never happen again. Well by 4:45, I still hadn't gotten a call. Mind you, I still had a rental car and didn't know if my car would even be finished before they closed at 6pm. I called to get in touch with the service manager and was put into an endless voicemail loop because he wouldn't get on the phone.

The receptionist hung up on me. Finally when the service manager did get on the phone with me, he promised to find out what was going on with my car and call me back. Did he? No. He had that jackass service advisor call me - 20 minutes before the service department closed to tell me I could pick up my car.

Even if they gave me free maintenance for the life of my car, I would NEVER take my car there again. They literally can not even manage a simple oil change without nearly destoying my car.

Worst place ever. They didn't know anything about the car they sold me. Plus all the door locks broke right after one year, so no help with that. I miss my Honda.

Unbelievably PATHETIC!!!! I really want to give them 0 star however, yelp didnt allow me to. I called before i came, however i had to wait for 20 minutes AT THE FRONT DOOR  just because there was a misunderstanding of dividing their employees' turn to serve the customers. And to make the matter worst, NO APOLOGIES OR SORRY or whatever. Even the ignorant manager was not willing to work on the price with us. WILL NEVER COME BACK OR REFER ANYBODY HERE!!! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU, DEERFIELD TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I offered my present car as a trade in and was given a very low offer. Took my car to delray buick gmc and got more than two times the low ball offer I received here. So I gave them my business instead!

Extremely disappointed that this place wasted so much of my time.
There was something wrong with my car-it wouldn't turn on. I eventually got it to work and brought it right in. The guy told me that they charge a fee to do the inspection, but they waive that fee if I get my car serviced here. Assuming that I would get it serviced there, I agreed. About an hour later, he tells me that I need a new battery and it would cost about $400. Really? $400 for a battery? Yeah right... I called up another toyota dealership and they said they could replace my battery for about $250 plus tax. Done deal. I go to pay the inspection fee because it was clear I would not get my car serviced here, and they tried to charge me over $115! Just to look at my car! I laughed. The girl at the front desk went to go get help right away (it didn't phase her and this seemed to be the routine). The guy who was helping me came up to tell me that this is the flat fee. I looked at him and go "$115, is that not steep to you?" which he then replies something along the lines of "well, I mean, yeah. That is steep," and he tells me they will cut the price in about half. He leaves to "work his magic" and he comes back with an invoice of just under $50 (over with tax). Just like that. What kind of profit margin is that? I left and got my car serviced at a more reasonable price. I would never come back here again because it's clear that all their focus is on taking advantage of the customers.

I was extremely happy with these people up until I found out a few days after having my car at home that they didn't tell me that the waive 3 deal did not apply to my situation.  ******* FINALLY - There is a gentleman named Dominic - the head of finance that called me back and offered to correct the situation.  I once again will state that I am / was extremely happy with them.  Get to the right people and get things done - The car - A CAMRY - is fantastic so far. -

*** Anyway, months have gone by with absolutely no action from Dominic or anybody else at their location.  I wouldn't buy another car from these people - They really do not care after the sale is made...I still like the car but will get it serviced elsewhere

We bought a new Prius in January 2014. I can actually say the purchase experience was much better that previous experience at other dealerships. I told the salesman (Hector Baez) that he had 1 hour to close the deal or I was walking. He literally ran thru the place checking inventory, etc. I had already decided what I wanted before arriving so I didn't need a test drive or a sell job. Rather than the old going back and forth to the sales manager, four of us (salesman, sales manager, general manager & I) sat at a round table and hammered out a deal. In 65 minutes my trade was taken, and a deal that I was happy with was made. Unbelievable. I had never before used the tactic of setting a time limit and I really worked. On the other hand I had to wait almost 2 hours to sit with the finance guy to write a check. There was no financing involved, just the usual forms and attempt to upsell warranties etc. The 2 hour wait was the only issue I had that was unacceptable. I haven't experienced the service department yet. I would like to thank Al Hendrikson Toyota for the test drives, etc., but I just found that place too sleazy and old school to give my business to. Also, Deerfield has more inventory and had exactly what I wanted.

I waited almost 4 hours for an oil change. Was first appointment at 7:30 AM. Clearly this dealer is about sales but that 's were the "service" ends.
There were no excuses, no legitimate reason, just inexcusable arrogance.

I am taking the time to write another review as Yelp "Screened" my other one, so I am trying again.

First I will start that this is my second experience with the dealership, I got a Sienna from them 3 years ago and had a great experience, not only that but I also referred a co-worker who got 2 cars from them and everything went great. Which is why when I started getting calls to come trade in my car for a new lease, I decided that if I do go with Toyota I will stick to this dealership.

Having only 3 payments left, and hating the experience of sitting in the dealership, I as always tried to close a deal prior to my arrival. I usually use email as you have clear documentation of the whole transaction, however this time it was all phone conversations. After going back and forth with the seller, he found me a new lease with the price I wanted and promised that Toyota will take care of the 3 final payments. He even took my account number to verify I only had 3 payments as my lease wasn't due until May but I overpaid in advance. I confirmed everything over the phone and arrived at the dealership.

Upon arrival I was referred to a different sales person than the one who talked to me, I didn't think much of it, and even though the car wasn't at the dealership we signed everything and I was suppose to pick up the car the following day. They seem in a rush to close the deal prior to the year end (it was Dec 30) and the following day when I arrived the car wasn't ready. I drove home and in the evening the sales person showed up in my house and left me the new car. I though although not smooth yet another great transaction.

A few weeks later I received a letter from Toyota saying I owe them the final 3 payments, thinking that it was a mistake I called the dealership and informed them they didn't pay the payments as promised. This is where the "fun" began.

First I got a call back saying finance didn't know anything about that deal and that I wasn't even offered it. I told him that I was promised it on the phone prior to arrival and that I wouldn't get a new car (same exact car) with payment left unless they took them, my car was under miles great condition and I only got a new lease cause they called me.

Second I was told that the original seller told me I may or may not get the 3 payments taken care of. At this point I started getting irritated as not only I would never agree to that but also at no point was I informed I am not getting the payments.

Third call I was told that I had 6 payments left and they covered 3 but I am responsible for the other 3, I informed them that I have a bill showing I have only 3 payments left. At this point I was mad.

I than went and wrote my previous yelp review (Trying to warn other people), wrote on their Facebook page, and wrote to Toyota HQ, I also downloaded the paperwork to file a small claim case at Broward county, luckily I had evidence to prove their are being dishonest.

I than received an email from Toyota HQ telling to that a costumer specialist from the dealership will contact me. She is probably the only reason the review is 2 stars and not 1, she was nice and after I called the financing department (yes me) and asked them about the promotion they told me it goes by lease termination date and not payments left, I than understood that the dealership offered me a deal they didn't know the details about and made a mistake. After informing them of their mistake (Again I had to figure it out and let them know) they promised to send me a check. It has been 2 weeks now and still no check, but I did get a call yesterday that one is on it's way.

To summarize, get everything in writing. Make sure everything is there upon signing, and if they tell you to come in and that the deal needs to be closed as soon as possible, you should probably walk away. Lesson learned.

Sorry this is a long review, I wanted to be as precise about the transaction as possible and not leave out any information. If Yelp removed this I will highly doubt the reliability of Yelp.

Really bad customer service, once you signed those papers and leave with the car that's is all they care about. Don't call or try to get in touch with your sales rep, (Stephanie Scott) because you'll never find her. Left voice mail and still haven't hear from her yet. There it goes my customer loyalty down the drain.
Love Toyota, but would not come back to this dealer anymore. I'm still loyal to Toyota, but not through Toyota of Deerfield Beach. Something to keep in mind for future customer.
Don't know everyone else experience but mine was pretty bad.

Sedrick was my Salesman and Billy was my Finance manager, Talbot also helped answer some email questions of mine.

They were professional, kind, and fair, that's pretty much all you can ask for in a dealership.  Their cars are priced below market value on the internet and I saw a 2009 Cadillac Escalade on yahoo cars.  Made the call and went to see it, the test drive went well, they provided a carfax report and last service done.  They replaced the brakes, oil change, and shined her up.  The internet price was good, add in their dealer fees and it was fair. They gave me a little less than I wanted for my trade in but after taking a second walk around on my car gave me a little more, I thought it was fair, then they ran my credit and after some work was able to get what again I thought was a fair apr.  So i recommend Sedrick as he was a genuine nice guy. He seems to be able to adapt well to each client.  I'm the kinda guy that doesn't haggle much because I do my homework and I like things to move a long at a fast pace.  I felt that if I liked things slow and needed to ask 1000 questions that he would sit with me and answer each question till I couldn't think of another.  So he did a very good job.  Dealers are either hit or miss and this place is a hit.  Their prices are low, their dealer fees a pinch high to compensate ofcourse though.
Do your homework, know a fair price for what your looking at, know the kelly blue book value of your trade in, know your credit score and what apr you deserve.  This is not the place to go if you want to haggle all day and night, their prices are already discounted to the post haggle price :)  Billy in finance was a pleasure too.  We signed a LOT of forms and I was getting quite tired at this point but he was a pleasure to deal with also. I said no to the paint coating, gap insurance and lojack, and there was no hassle at all in any way shape or form. I did go with the extended warranty though as that is smart and I'm not one that likes surprises or hassles.  I plan on getting another escalade next year and they will be the first place I go.  There was no throwing of keys on roofs, no one told me if i didnt buy this car their kid couldn't get the operation, and no underhanded tactics going on at all here. I'm an extremely picky person so when I say I recommend them that really says a lot for who they are.

My Review of Toyota of Deerfield Beach:

Robert Ogust GM and Zach Bell made the difference between my decision to lease a new Toyota Corolla or head over to Pompano Honda next door. I am a TUFF customer, very difficult to deal with because "I always do my homework first" Toyota wants there customers back and as AMERICANS we have lost faith in foreign companies. However, let's not loose faith in the Americans selling there products.

This is a reputable dealership under "NEW" construction. I was appalled at the practices of so many car dealerships. The nerve of calling my home and leaving messages telling me about all the liars and crooks out there? I also noted 1 negative review of Pompano Honda on YELP? Funny, they sent me many e-mails and called my home 3-4 times? Very annoying..

Listen, these people have to move inventory between now and 2011. If you happen to read this, pay them a visit and mention me SCOTT RUBIN. No, this is not a paid solicitation but you can use me as a reference. The automobile industry as a whole has always been "frowned upon".

I was reluctant to turn in my 1986 Toyota Camry which has appreciated in value and becomes an antique next year. The car was left to me by my father and only has 90,000 miles. I had private mechanics do all my work and its a very rare car. They now own it if you know of anyone looking for a collectible? My mom took ill and I could not finish my restoration of the vehicle. So, it felt like a death to me.

Before you sign on the dotted line, give them an opportunity to 'EARN' your business. That is something America stopped doing long ago and why we as a country are in the HOLE we have dug for ourselves. Along with those who helped shovel the dirt on many of us along the way.
