Home of the world's longest oil change.

Pack a freaking lunch. 2+ hours and counting!

I bought a new Hyundai Genesis in October 2014.  The salesman was very personable, but not knowledgeable about the specifics in the car.  The new car was supposed to have 65 miles on it, but arrived with over 350 miles.  I subsequently tried to contact their service department, but they never called back.
Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed with all phases of this dealership.  I would never go back and I have sent two friends to the Hyundai dealer in Delray and they bought their cars from them.

I was in the market for a new car.    I looked on and did as well.   One of the cars I was looking at was the  Elantra.   After posting an interest on truecar,  I got a call from 3 dealerships, one being King.

Jim Correll took the time to break down the price and agreed to match and go lower than another dealership I had talked to.   The dealership fees are $698 less than other dealerships.    Less I like.    I scheduled a test drive,  got there, Jim was nice and pleasant.    He had Zack attend to my needs.    I had already made up my mind that I wanted the car.   Zack was not pushy,  he told his manager that I had a quote from another dealership and the manager lowered the price even more.   Zack came back with 4 money down-finance term payments and even suggested I look at leasing.    I was surprised that they had no money down leases.    I ended up getting a lease and getting the car even though they did not have the color I wanted but I settled for the next best color.    When I went to the finance person,  he explained every piece of document I was signing.     Overall I had a great car buying experience and I was in and out within a few hours!!

In 2009 when I went to Holman Honda,  I was rushed thru the paperwork because it was late and the finance person wanted to go home.   She didn't give me time to read over the documents, it was just sign sign and sign.   I didn't give them the 5 star rating they wanted.

King  is completely different and I will be rating them 5 stars.    I am loving the car and the color!!!

I am reading about the service experiences from other yelpers.   I hear many dealerships are that way.      I go and get service done at a local garage so will continue taking the car there besides the oil changes which I get free at King.

The sales department and the techs in the garage have always been very good.  The service drive is terrible, and has been since I've bought there in 2000!!! The latest, and I could go on, is the service manager promising on Monday to call me by the end of the week to get my car in (same warranty repair for the third time in as many weeks--oh, and he couldn't be bothered to return my message left on the proceeding Saturday) I called Friday at 11:45am leaving a message.  Called back at 3:30pm and was told he was gone for the day and will be back in two weeks as he left for vacation!!! Don't these guys understand they are In sales and would make more money if the were polite, honest and cared just a little bit?  Buy a car there, but go to Rick Case, Napleton or ANYWHERE else for service.  It is well worth any additional mileage to avoid King's so-called 'service' advisors!!!

While our salesman was nice enough, he remained very vague on what price and special might be available to us despite internet advertising touting $0 down, $0 APR, etc. According to him, we were not reading the "fine print," and shouldn't count on any advertised deals. Once we sat down to negotiate, he continually went back and forth with a manager who was obviously irritated with our questions and openly glared at us. Rather than show a willingness to work with us, he seemed exasperated that we wanted to explore offers when we indeed had a decent amount of money to put down. In the end, the manager's open hostility soured the process and we gathered our things and left. This may be a common car buying experience, but it doesn't make it any less crappy. A waste of an evening!!

Excellent service from Norman, who could not do enough for me and my buddy from the moment we walked in until we left. There is not a detail he missed comparing their models to competitors.  Explained everything clearly, treated us like family.

Bad bad service department. They don't return calls or pick up the phone after multiple attempts to reach someone.

Never buying/ leasing a car here again. Sales guy was nice but of course they want that commission check. after that they say screw you. They want you to write a good review and then that's it.

Anyway see you soon Rick Case. They are nice professional and even have modern booking online system and nice waiting room.

Horrible experience!!! The person I came in to see was not there. I met with Dale Hussey! Total jerk. I told him I wanted a buyer's order and he wanted me to fill out a credit application.

He said the credit application was to make sure I am not a terrorist. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time lol. This guy is a piece of work. Then he said I was calling him a liar, because I didn't want him to run a credit report. I requested to speak with the manger (Rocco), however they sent the receptionist. I was then passed on to a nicer fellow name Norm. He was able to get the buyer order in 10 mins and faxed.

Nothing should be this difficult. Nothing. I would not send my worst enemy to this dealership. They are the worst!

Extremely poor customer service. I bought a Sonata from them back in September. Let me first say that the car is great. No problems at all with the vehicle, and I think Hyundai is a great company.

Overall the people here are rude and incompetent. I am going to list all the reasons and poor experiences I've had with this dealership:

1)  The finance person, Gary Robinson, who I signed the paper work with was AWFUL and RUDE. He made a point that it doesn't affect him whether I purchase the gap insurance or how many years I finance my vehicle for. However, when I told him what I wanted, he was so aggressive about me choosing a different option that I basically had to persuade HIM of why I wanted a certain plan. OK, not the worst thing, but very shady and devious on their end to say it doesn't affect them when it clearly does.

2) After I bought the car, I received several phone calls and emails not only asking me to take the online customer service survey, but asking me to give them 100% 5s (the best rating) despite my actual experience. They said if my sales person (who was actually pretty nice at the time) didn't receive all 5s, it would hurt him. I'm assuming this practice isn't even allowed by Hyundai corporate and it's extremely unprofessional.

3) Gary Robinson, the awful finance person, calls me a week after I bought my car saying I never signed one important piece of paperwork (i.e. he likely just lost it himself). Keep in mind I live 45 minutes from the dealership. So now during the work week, I have to drive back to the dealership to sign 1 piece of paper I likely already signed when I was there the first time. My father also tried to save me the trip and pick up the document from the dealership and bring it to me. Needless to say, Gary would not let him and even got into an altercation with my father. Again, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

4) Lastly, I will describe the worst thing this dealership has done which has lead me to write this horrible and 100% honest review of this business. Gary Robinson and my salesperson Ernie promised me I would get a Recent College Graduate rebate for over $400 if I purchased the car. I forwarded them all my information that they needed, which Gary said he would take care of here on out. It might take a few months to get me this rebate, they told me.

So several months later I never heard from them and tried following up. I WAS CALLING THEM FOR WEEKS trying to sort this whole thing out. First they told me they'd call me back, but no one EVER returned my call. I was calling the customer service manager Ashley Mannarino every few days in which she kept reassuring me she was "on it" and would get back to me. Finally after about the 5th or 6th time I spoke to her, she said there's nothing she could do to get me back the rebate. They don't have any of my paperwork and it's been too long since I purchased my car. As if any of that is MY fault. So I called my helpful Salesperson Ernie who I was pressured to give a perfect score to in his customer service survey. He says to let me get back to you by the end of the day. I told him no one ever returns my call at this dealership, to which I swear to you, HE PROMISES ME he'll call me back by the end of business day. Of course, he doesn't call me back and the next day I call him, to which unsurprisingly he responds "Oh yeah, sorry. There's nothing we can do. You should have called us earlier about this. We can't reopen the books on your old account now." So much for perfect customer service.

I'll end this rant by saying I called Hyundai Corporate about my rebate, and within 30 minutes it was resolved and they said they could get me the rebate. Never in my life have I ever dealt with any business as incompetent, rude, dishonest, unhelpful, and SLIMY as King Hyundai of Deerfield Beach. Please don't go here. They will straight up lie to you in terms of any rebates you can get, and once you make the purchase will do nothing to help you. I am warning you. Buy your Hyundai somewhere else!!!

Horrid waiting area.

They are rip offs and terrible people! Tried to charge me $1100 for an evaporator that turns out is fine!!!!!

Horrid experience there!  I really like what Hyundai has to offers, but my experience at this particular dealership was a trip from hell.  Of course you pull up and all the dealers are outside like vulchers smoking and joking.  (Something I'd expect to see more of at a low-end USED car dealership...)
Anyways, the gentlemen who helped us was an absolute waste.  Ran the credit and basically pushed us out, and said he'd call us with our options.  He never did, so we called him 3 days later, and he was just stuttering for answers.  He asked us to come back a weekday after work to look at cars, and once again wasted our time with no new information.  We practically had to beg to test drive cars...
He was very unprofessional & lacked knowledge.  Again I like their cars, but in this particular situation one bad apple ruins a bunch, and I bought a VW!
