Jason is the best. My boyfriend and I were in a tight spot and needed to get out of california. Jason helped us out big time and took the car off our hands for us With enough to pay for tickets.  Thank you jason!

I recently purchased a Jeep Liberty at Top Notch Auto Sales and was very impressed with the customer service I received. They also gave me a really good trade in value on my old car. BIG THANKS to Jason and his crew for helping me along.

Bought my 740 BMW here and I was pleasantly served by Jason. He's a great salesman. His uniqueness is that he doesn't push you into buying a car. And since I was a student, he was able to get me into all kinds of discounts. (finally a place where you can drive off with confidence and not the feeling that you've just been ripped off.)

Anyways, the car is still working perfectly fine and I couldn't be happier.

Well I have read through the 1 star reviews and felt the need to share my experience with Top Notch Sales.

I bought a 2004 Toyota Prius with 120K miles on it. I took it to the Toyota dealership for a complete inspection before I bought it. It is performing exceptionally, and I got a great price on it; better than I could find at any other dealer (including small dealers).

Jason is a young guy running his own shop. The place can't be more than 700 sq ft and 15 cars at a time. There is no way a reasonably intelligent adult would expect OEM level service from this shop. It is what it is, and that isn't bad or illegal. If you can't deal, than you should pay the premium at OEM's for a hand to walk you through the process. I'd rather do my homework and get a discount.

I financed roughly 25% of the total cost, and Jason met my requests for purchase, which were much better than I would have gotten with a financing company. He even has also allowed me to get it detailed at his preferred rate from his detail guys, three months after I bought it.

Very reasonable shop, flipping used cars. Very nice and accommodating. Probably should slow down a little bit but was reasonable and very nice still.

Conclusion: This isn't an OEM dealership. Do your homework. In my purchase, Jason was very fair, identified what wasn't right with the car (which I confirmed with the delaer inspection) and worked with my requests throughout the sales process. I will go to him first for my next purchase and see if he can accommodate my requests.

I happened upon this place by chance while on my way to look for mattresses and noticed a couple SUV's. I made a U-turn and looked around for a bit. I saw a GMC Yukon XL and asked to take it for a test drive and they let me..twice. I drove and then my friend drove on the second test drive. I had been talking about a larger family vehicle for a while and after talking with BJ and haggling over the price i went home and thought it over.
Come Sunday I returned to Top Notch with my Chevy Silverado Z71 and traded her in and took home the Yukon XL.
The rest of the family was out of town visiting other family  and my kids had no clue what I was doing but when they found that I had gotten it they were very excited.
I hated losing my truck but often you have to do what's best for family and after a week of having "Yukie" I see I made a good choice.
*I would use caution when negotiating the price as they tried to jack the price up $6 grand even after telling me what it was going for but after standing firm they worked the numbers and Abracadabra.. POOF..the price was back down. Thank you car fairy..lol.

In the sketchy used auto sales swamp of "Burbank", Top Notch is an exception. Jason was very helpful with helping me find the right car and for the right price. Come here before you go to any of the other places on San Carlos. Jason has also helped me with some repairs on an older car of mine.

Some people are funny. Don't complain about things that you find out AFTER you sign a contract. If you didn't read it first, that's not Top Notch's fault. Also, don't have unrealistic expectations about buying a used car, it's not new! It's often true, you get what you pay for.

I went to go buy a car after a recent car crash and I have to say I got the best service from their staff... I don't normally write reviews but I really appreciate the time and honesty of top notch auto sales. I highly recommend anyone looking to get a great car and a hassle free time to check out these guys.

Excellent service from Top Notch Auto Sales... it was the first hot day of Spring and my car overheated after hours Monday night.  Jason and his team members, Robert and Eric were efficient, helpful and far exceeded my expectations, not only fixing my car, but checking it over to be sure it was travel worthy!  They really are Top Notch :-)

Behnam S. | 2014-04-01

I went there on a limb because i happened to see a car i always liked, i was greeted promptly and just ended up making a deal on the car and i got a great deal on my trade in. Couldn't ask for anything more he made it so easy and quick i was out of there in less then 2 hours driving my new car, smiling from ear to ear! Thanks Jason

Jason is a crook and a thief.  My daughter bought a car from him that was misrepresented.  She returned it and he charged her a $500 re stocking fee which was in the contract that she had signed.  He took 5 days to return her balance of the deposit but kept $500.00 of it.  Conniving and unprofessional!

I was honestly sketched out by this spot because I have lots of faith in yelp and all the reviewers on here and right when I got to the dealership I checked out the page & saw 2 1/2 stars. I was about to leave and the salesman came right up to me and offered me something to drink and asked if I wanted to look around. He seemed so nice and professional I decided to say eff it and take a chance. I mean it couldn't hurt to look around. I was shopping for a really good commuter car. I found a 2001 honda civic that I really liked and it had decent miles and an extra decent price. I ended up test driving it and skipping through all the boring parts I ended up wanting to finance it. I approached the salesman (Jason) and he took care of me very well. I've had the car now for 3 months and everything runs great :) I'm super happy I took a leap of faith and decided to stay! I recommend this spot to people if they're looking for a decent car with no bullshit and a good price! Thanks top notch auto sales!!

I am the former owner of the 2001 VW stated in the longest review here by my husband. I am so happy that I finally got rid of that car and all the problems that came with it. I just wanted to quickly add how mad Jason got when my husband posted the review and called me asking me take it off or he would not fix my car.

I finally decided to go to Capital VW and traded in my car (which may I add, constantly tried to die on me on the freeway) for a new vehicle. One I don't have to worry about in any way. They ended up printing out the CARFAX of the vehicle that Jason sold me. It had 5 owners and 1 accident. Jason had shown me the CARFAX to the wrong car. The one he showed me had only 1 owner and completely clean. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to call me again after this post. Also, read your contract CAREFULLY.

So glad im done with that all that drama!

Had a very disappointing experience. We were very interested in a couple of cars and had cash ready to buy. We were there at 10:20 and place says its open but no one is there. We call the number on the window he says to come back in 40 min. We leave and come back an hour later. Still no one there. Call again says he is 15 min away.  Shows up 30 minutes later. Says Sundays is just by appointment but will help us out.

He shows us a car starts off being nice and tells us it's issues. Tells us he has another car he can go get and be back in 4 min. First he asks if we are serious about buying. Uh, should we really answer that? We've only been waiting for him for half an hour! 15 min later he comes back with a "very clean car" that he just worked on. Car is not in excellent condition but we are still interested. We check the oil and it's low. We swipe a hand under the engine and get good amount of fresh oil. We let him know the car is leaking and low on oil. He starts twitching and becomes defensive and very unprofessional.

He tells us oil can sit under an engine for a long time. It can, but not fresh oil. He gets frustrated and starts to tell us how he went out of his way to get the car for us. At that point he just lost us. He had a condescending tone and was clearly frustrated. We felt like he categorized us and never showed respect and therefore never gave his business a chance. Jason is the worst used car salesman we've ever met.

Jason was so helpful with our families new vehicle purchase. He took his time to find us the lowest interest rate and the best loan after dealing with many dealerships. Thanks Jason the car runs great. Thanks for all your help.

We got referred by our neighbor who came to the block in a loud & shiny 2001 Ford Mustang... His transmission has gone out in less than 3 months, and I get told his speedometer has not been working since he bought it, and was promised to get fixed. The mustang also was taken in to the shop because one of its new tires blew out, my neighbor comes to find out from the tire guys at "Calderon Tires, a shop in San Jose", that Jason bought cheap retreaded tires.

So Weeks Before finding out my neighbors woes, me and my fiancé took off to check out this "dealership", a one man gig, run by a guy named Jason Mehdi Akbarzadeh.
-Jason was cool, laid back, kinda easy to talk to.
-His selection was kinda limited with the newer shiny cars in the front to attract clients...
-He told us he didn't want to run a credit check because it would cost him $35.00. and Because my girl has some not so great credit... We bit.
- He told us the car has a rebuilt engine and rebuilt transmission...
- So We ended up walking away with a 2001 Volkswagon Jetta with black faded paint. Or "sunburnt" according to Jason.
-Jason also promised to fix all the paint of the car. This was promised within a month of taking the car home...

1)Less than 3 weeks into owning the vehicle we experience a check engine light said hello. This was accompanied by a poor performance of the transmission shifting.

2) When we take the car to Jason he attempts to clear the code with his code reader... He then Tells me there is nothing in the computer and that they probably didn't reset the computer when they rebuilt the engine. Packs up. Hands me the keys and starts briskly walking away like he had something more important to do.

3) the engine light is clear for a week and comes right back on. I'm constantly trying to get him to fix it and the only thing he keeps saying is, "it's something small, bring it in Monday and ill fix it".

4) we bring it in Monday, and he tells us he's gonna fix the paint. We ask him if he's gonna get it painted and how long would we have to wait, and he replies with," NO! not paint, Buuuff. See these cars they sit here in the sun, the paint just needs to be buffed. See that truck? (Points to a truck getting buffed) its been getting buffed for 4 hours, look how clean and shiny it looks, if it the buff doesn't fix the paint, bring it back and ill paint it."

5) we end up leaving our car and never getting a call until the next day... We go to pick it up and take it home. The "buff" has disappeared, the "sunburn" and cracking clear coat has not been fixed... and the check engine light is still on since the day of the "buffing"... Still waiting on this.... It's been over three months... we have gotten tired of his bullshit excuses and constantly having to drop it off. We have full time jobs, and we are both full time students, me in Criminal Justice, and the fiancé in Law School.

6) as we are making payments, he lags on telling us our total remaining... Telling us he is busy and cannot check his documents at the moment. Really?

Conclusion: If I could give this guy a negative rating I would. He uses all the dirty dealership scams he can lay on you...  From the sympathy card,"I fell of my bike so my arm nerves are tweaking out", or "my girlfriend always beats me up, how do you find such a great girl",  to the "I run this place by myself, because my dad left me alone to run it and now I can barely Make rent. Unfortunately we didn't know about these kinds of scams until after the fact...
SO TO EVERYONE READING THIS REVIEW.
I do not recommend buying from this guy if he cant be straight up and honest about a simple sale...especially if he can't even uphold his "3000 mile, or 6 month warranty"... Nor his printed motto,"We do everything we can to make sure the buyer is satisfied!" - This is all Bullshit. Do Not Buy from this place. We plan on selling this car after he gets everything fixed, and we figured at the rate he is trying to suck the money out of our pockets, we might as well go to a big name dealership. At least there you get what you pay for, and it will last you with no problems. And a warranty that's awesome.

top notch auto could very well be one of the best places to buy a car in Santa Clara county. Jason (the owner) is incredibly helpful and extremely generous. unlike many other car dealers, he doesn't try to rip you off by selling you a piece of junk that has been repainted, he sells quality cars at amazing prices. he is more than willing to negotiate and will try his hardest to help you get what you need for the price that you want to pay. if you are looking for a good car for a great price, i suggest you make top notch auto your first stop.

Went in looking to purchase a new car, the owner Jason was very helpful, friendly and patient. Great deals and service all around, extremely satisfied!!

Crystal G. | 2012-03-19

If you are looking for a decent car and a sales person that isn't just trying to get you to buy anything...you should stop by...The owner Jason is super nice and really does care you. No sleaziness here...They have a great car selection and if they don't have it they can find it for you.

Martin H. | 2012-03-12

We were actually referred to this place by another Auto Dealer and didn't really expect too much.

Cons: This location is very small however he does have a decent selection. The owner (Jason) is also the only person running this establishment so when they get busy you kind of have to wait for your turn to talk about a vehicle. However other than these two items everything else is great.

Pros: Jason was very friendly and knowledgeable on each of his vehicle and what he lacks in staff members he makes up in Customer Service. My wife and I were looking for a very specific type of vehicle which made our search even that more difficult. We also don't have the best credit in the world so we knew it would an up hill battle.

After talking with Jason about our needs he was able to work with us and get us what we wanted. I would definitely recommend his Dealership to anyone that is looking for good Used Car at a low price.
