Reviews on Stevens Creek Auto Source

Worst customer service I've ever had. Once they get your money, they do not care about you OR your car. I was having car issues about a month ago when this all happened. So at the time I had my car for ten - going on 11 months. I've had to speak with 4 different people INCLUDING* the manager Steve to get any type of work done or help with my 2011 car that's not starting! When I bought the car, Phil informed me I had 100,000 miles factory warranty. Which was perfect because it only had 22,000 when I bought it. Now that it's not starting, someone completely different named Bob tells me I have a 36,000 warranty for little things & 60,000 for transmission and engine problems. Bob and Juan are the only two people who had great customer service. Juan is who I spoke to first in the very beginning who said if anything* happened, that they WOULD take care of me. Come the fourth day my car still wasn't starting, keep in mind I had an established relationship with Toan (an employee there), he knows who I am. So now Toan (the fourth person) calls me and QUOTES me to get my car fixed?? As if $23,000 isn't enough for a car that's lasted me 10 months you want to QUOTE me? I beg everyone NOT to buy a car from this place. Also, everyone kept asking me "oh did you purchase the extended service plan warranty?"WHAT EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN WARRANTY. I NEVER heard of that warranty until now. Bob informed me that you can only pay cash for it, oh well now that makes sense since I used a card for my down payment. I finally got my car fixed & planned on sending my boyfriend here to finance a car as well but never will I recommend ANYONE to buy here. I would give negative stars if possible.

Highly disappointed in the antics of this establishment! I get the concept of bringing customers in to sell a product, but when you specifically confirm you have a car multiple times and have someone drive almost 2 hours to come look at that specific car have it!! We confirmed make/ model and color and were told the truck was there and available and we agreed to drive up to see the truck, get there and was shown a totally different make/ model and color and year.... WOW maybe they thought we wouldn't notice? Then the salesman kept insisting that that was the truck we called about.... Ummm no, we were VERY specific on what we want and the truck he was looking at was no way close to what we called we proceed to say ok, well that is NOT what we called about, show him the pic on Craigslist and their website and ask where is this truck then? our question was passed off and never answered, so we left- still the posting is added daily to craigslist as available and their website as available so beware- they are a scam!!!!! If in fact they do not have the truck then why is it still being posted as available? Save your time and money and go some where reputable. In case anyone is looking at the same truck it's the silver 2006 Chevy Silverado listed for 16500, not the gold 2002 GMC Sierra listed for 10995, trying to make a deal for 15500 uh yeah nice try!

I purchased a 2011 Toyota Tacoma truck from this dealership in July of 2014. I had a excellent experience with the dealership and a very competitive price on the truck too.  My car was in repair and I needed to get a vehicle to drive to work.  The truck was in excellent condition, but had some minor issues that the dealer insisted that they fix prior to delivery.  I have had the truck for 3 months now and very happy with the overall value.  I would recommend Stevens Creek Auto source and would buy from them again.

I was in search of a slightly used sedan, and a friend of mine referred me to Auto Source. I have been to quite a few used car dealerships in the area, but did not have very much luck. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Auto Source had a nice selection of cars in their lot.

Inventory - good variety of cars, a lot to choose from and their conditions were also very good. I saw plenty of newer models as well, nothing that looked run down or in poor condition. Quality cars.

Customer service - one thing I can appreciate about their staff is that they did not pressure me into purchasing one of their vehicles. They were very patient with me and listened to what it was that I was looking for. Their salesman Phil came off as a bit unfriendly at first, but was helpful in the end. Seems to mean well, don't let him rub you the wrong way.

Overall, my experience here was pleasant and professional. I was able to find what I was looking for and the process was fairly quick and painless. Would definitely recommend to friends, family, and others in search of an affordable used car.

My dad and me came to buy a car from here and I was very satisfied with our purchase. We bought a honda civic 2008. The dealership was really nice and professional and I felt comfortable when they were helping me out. The salesman, toan was very helpful and he helped me choose the perfect car! I love my little Honda and I love it even more because my dad always raves about how great of a deal it was. We are definitely coming back when my brother gets his license.

So it was about time for me to look for vehicle that saves gas and is reliable at the same time so I decided to stop by this used car lot in Stevens Creek to take a look at this 2003 Toyota Corolla S that was posted on their website. I took it for a test drive and also took a look under the hood to see how good the last owner maintained the vehicle. After taking a look inside the car and under the hood I was immediately sold. The car was just as I imagined it would be when I saw it online...perfect working condition inside and out. The customer service was also really great because they weren't like your normal car sales people that are usually really pushy and won't leave your side. Whenever I had a question about my car they had the answer ready for me which I liked very much. They had my carfax history report ready to go when I asked for it and were very patient with me. They two people that helped me finalize my purchase were Angie and Toan. Be sure to ask for either one of them and tell them Jeffrey sent you over. Its about 3 months already and I'm still enjoying my new used car. Car runs like a champ and saves a lot of gas, thanks you guys!

I wanted to wait a few months before giving a review for this dealership because I wanted to see how the car would hold up first, and its still running great.  Im very surprised at all the negative reviews that ive read for this place.  I came in needing to buy a car before I moved out of San Jose, with a budget, and told them I didnt want to get too close to my max of 12,000.  They were very attentive and showed me several options and several cars that I didnt even see when I took a look at there website. The salesman, I cant remember his name, Tom I believe, wasnt pushy at all or trying to upsell me to something I know I couldnt afford.  We agreed on a flat price out the door, which didnt make me max out, and I walked out with a beautiful car, and im still in love with my Altima.  Its still running great, and at this point all upkeep is up to me anyway. The only reason im not giving it 5 stars is because the website didnt have all the cars on the lot available to view.

I don't think there's enough room for me to describe my experience there. I bought a car there, thinking that I had a good deal. The first problem was with the tires. They were bald. I found out when I went to get them rotated and balanced. I went back to Auto source to tell them and after a week of back and forth and them trying to make me pay for the tires, they bought new ones. Then 25 days into the 30 day warranty, my transmission went out. After almost a month of not having my car and being promised to have it repaired, they finally said that it cost too much to fix( they said $8000 for the transmission, I found out that it was only $3500), they offered me a different car. What I didn't know is that they weren't going to pay off my loan and they tried to get me into a 2nd loan. When I found this out , I threatened them with a complaint to the BBB, the Bureau of Consumer Repair, the Attorney General and 7 on your side, They magically paid off the loan. I got a refund of my down payment and bought a car outright...go there at your own risk. This place is unethical. The old guy there, hung up on me several times and I was told that was just his style. I repeat, do not go there...

If you would to see what a hypocritical shady car dealer feels like - go here!

First off, the had an ad for a truck on their site (and on autotrader) for a truck that wasn't even cleaned out. It had crumbs and dog fur all over it.  for $17k you better clean it before you post it.  We drive it an it's shaking all over the place, the brake roters needed replaced, there was rust, valve ticking, etc.  But good thing we didn't come to look at that truck, we came for a smaller truck in much better shape...
We show up and sit in the truck, as we are sititing in it another couple comes to look at it (they have to wait until we get out and look at the blue truck) at that time they get in and take it for a test drive before we were able to. they get back and we take it for a drive.  they are gone when we get back and we are inside talking a deal and the other couple returns.  they are in the parking lot talking to a different salesman who comes in (as WE ARE SITTING AT THE DESK MAKING A DEAL) and pulls the other salesman aside and they agree to give it to the other couple without talking to us first.
WE WERE THERE FIRST and SAT IN IT FIRST and were in the office making a deal when they weren't even on SITE!
They never should have given the other couple the truck.  They never let us give them extra money.  They never let us do ANTYHING.
DONT DEAL WITH ******PHIL******* he hung up on me when I was on the phone with him. ***PHIL = super jackA*S***********
Tuan = Seemed nice but didn't even TRY to get us the truck.
Now that I read the other review -  im glad we didnt get either of the trucks. F**K this place.

Definitely don't come here.
I was looking around until an older man came out and started asking around.

I was interested in one of their cars and asked his price and then he started pointing at cars, how about that one? Or that one? Or that one!
Thanks, I have eyes too.

I turned those cars down with a good manner and he walked off saying I should just bounce to some other place and then muttering something.

If you want bad customer service from a person who doesn't want to sell their cars, by all means, come and buy here.
I would've been interested in one of the cars he had but jeez, what a jerk!

This is a well deserved review for you Auto Source.

I made an astronomical mistake of purchasing a car here.  When my friend and I were there, they were super attentive and nice.  After the purchase was made, I discovered TONS of issues with the vehicle that they failed to disclose.  When I informed them of several issues, it took them MONTHS to address ONE minor one.  It took almost 3 nightmarish months of endless phone calls, messages, texts & reminders to get a response.  The words that best describe this place are:  SHADY, UNRELIABLE, DISREPUTABLE, DISHONEST, CHEAP...

I purchased a vehicle that had a missing armrest/middle consul.  They said that the missing consul was already ordered and will be installed in just 2-3 business days.  THREE MONTHS later, they finally installed a used and BROKEN consul!!!  Please do yourself a favor and take your chances elsewhere.  I'm in the process of contacting the BBB for their HORRIFIC service and dishonest business practices.

p.s. In less than 3 days after purchasing the car, the front undercarriage cover of the car dropped because it was poorly propped up.  I also found out that you cannot open the car with a physical key because there's a HOLE in where the key would go in (someone may have tried to break in).  The driver's side mirror became loose and CD player kept dejecting the CD 75% of the time I tried loading a disc.  None of these issues were disclosed nor professionally acknowledged by these people prior to me handing over the payments.  DISGUSTING!

I was looking for a used car and had done my research.   They had the car I wanted at a reasonable price according to KBB.   I looked at several big dealerships and for the same car,  they were asking 3k more.  The deal was quick and relatively painless.   I would come here again.
