I recently purchased a vehicle from Land Rover. From the moment I called to inquire about a vehicle they were advertising, I was treated with a no pressure attitude. Initially I spoke to a salesman by the name of Jonathan. He invited me over to the lot to see the particular vehicle I was interested in. However, since he was not going to be at the dealership during the time of my visit. He made arrangements for another salesperson to help me. Her name was Karen. She was super attentive and very helpful with the purchasing process. She did not pressure me to commit to anything that I did not want - the common practice at other dealerships. Karen listened and advocated on my behalf for the offer that I wanted. All in all - from the GM for providing me with a reasonable offer, the sales persons: Jonathan and Karen for providing excellent customer service, and the finance manager for drafting the contract in super-efficient fashion; I will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family. I very much look forward to doing business with Land Rover / Jaguar in the future.

After looking online for almost a week at the Jaguar XK, I tried purchasing from dealers out of state since the Jaguar/Land Rover in San Jose did not have the exact one that I wanted. Every call I made to other dealers, the response was the same: "I'm sorry, we just sold the car". So each evening after dinner, I'd go to Jaguar/Land Rover San Jose to see if by chance, the car I've been coveting came in. Day 3 of visiting the dealership after hours - several new Jaguar XKs arrived...none of which met the aesthetics I required. Come day 4...after driving to SF, Livermore and Pleasanton to see if other dealerships had the exact car I wanted (to no avail), I figured...let's try Steven's Creek again. Though about 11PM - I walked the lot and there she was...a black Jaguar XKR with a black convertible top!!! Naturally, I got excited, couldn't sleep, but at the same time, concerned about the asking price as this car JUST came in that day and not yet tagged with any information. The next day, I wake up, rush over to Jaguar/Land Rover San Jose with hopes it was still there. I pull in and greeted by Sal Mo. He asked if I had an appointment, and I say no, but there is a car that I wanted to ask about. He said it was no problem, so I walk him towards the car I saw the night prior...hoping it was still there. And...the car was still there! Again, because the car just came in, Sal did not have information on the car, but allowed me to check it out and take it for a drive. As we returned, we sat down and I continued to probe for information and Sal did everything he could to answer my questions. I couldn't be happier with Sal's dedication to making the transaction seamless and without any sort of sales tactics. In fact, I had no intentions of buying that day, but he made it so easy and met my needs in what I was looking for. Call it an impulsive purchase, but I couldn't be happier. Thank you sooo very much, Sal, I was in and out so quickly because you made the experience a great one without any hiccups. I have been enjoying this beautiful head turner for the past couple of days - and it's because of Sal that I was able to help me get into the car that I've been drooling over for days.

Our used Range Rover Sport has given us much happiness in the last 7 years of ownership, so we decided to check out the all new version of this amazing SUV with best in the world off-road capability.  Unlike most owners, we actually took it off-roading in Joshua Tree and Death Valley.  As expected, we were impressed with the car, and the customer service is as impressive as the car.

When we first stopped in, we were immediately greeted and politely asked if we needed assistance.  We ended up talking to Jeronimo, who is quite a fun guy to work with.  He was courteous and professional.  Some luxury car dealerships can be snobby; here I did not have to show up in a blazer to receive the same customer service as a VC would.  When we went into the showroom, he offered us refreshments. They serve Peet's coffee, have some snacks, cold water, soda and assortment of teas.  

He showed us the inventory and we started the process of making a deal.  During the process, I was never pressured and was taken seriously.  The process was effortless and we ended up purchasing our refreshed Range Rover Sport.  I will definitely do business with them again, and will have my Range Rover serviced here.  The experience couldn't have been any smoother.

It does not feel like you are at a car dealership, it is a very relaxing place, let you take your time no sales pressure at all. Sal was very nice to my wife and my 6 year old daughter. Recently purchased a Range Rover and had a fantastic experience. I realize the Range Rover's are hard to come by and I did have to wait 4 months for mine but it was worth it. LRSJ kept me informed  all along the way, I never had to call them as they always called me.

On the day of delivery my Rover was perfect! The price was correct, no games, and they took the time to show my wife and I all the 'bells and whistles' and how to use them (not that I can remember).

This is my 2nd Rover from LRSJ and will be buying another in 3 years. Now that they have Jaguar I may drop my and take a look.

I had two appointments in June 2014 with the the sales, Karen M. , in order to get a special order for 2015 Range Rover Sports. Yet for each time, she called me couple days later after we met and told me that the car was no longer available for pre-order.

The last call I received from her was in the middle July saying that there would be a new car available within a month for immediate purchase and she would update the info to me as soon as she can. However, I have never heard from her since then. I mean... what's wrong with you and your company? Is this call business? Is this your ways to treat a customer who showed up couple times, made lots of calls, and sent lots of emails?? This is really disrespectful and ridiculous. Cant you folks just tell me that the cars would not be available, or you just dont want to sell cars to us?? You folks should not waste people's time.

WORST experience ever. AVIOD this dealer.

Oh btw, I have sent additional email last week to them and ask what's their point for doing this. No replies so far.

I just bought a 2012 Range Rover Sport from Sal yesterday! I have been working with Sal for a few months and he has appropriately touched base with me over the last 4 months.   Not too much and enough for me to remember him. I'm in sales, so I understand the balance! It was meant to be bc the car I had been waiting for had arrived!

My buying experience was low pressure. In fact, Sal was more interested in making sure we were happy, picking the car for the right reasons and really went to bat for us
on some details of this specific car before we bought it. Our car was a lease return and needed some normal updates, but the one area that needed attention was the hood of the car from bird poop and the acid that had eaten away at the top layers of paint - all parties involved assured this would be either sanded out or re-painted to my liking - WOW!

Sal took my husband and I around and introduced us to all appropriate people to ensure we were part of the Land Rover family:

Love, love, love my LR2, but......
Really, Land Rover?  Worst. Service. Ever.  Arrived to my scheduled service appointment to find service had moved and I had to go another location (thanks for the notification).  A loaner vehicle was included in my reservation, yet I still had to wait over 45 mins for you to set me with a rental car (nothing but top quality there).  And, now I've just paid over $700 for you to "inspect" my car over the course of two days.  To add insult to injury, it wasn't even washed (which should be a standard included service, YET I even had a free coupon for the car wash that was promised at the time of drop off), BUT I was given a coupon to take it in for a wash myself.  Uh, thanks?  Good service might have included the option of picking it up after two days unwashed OR waiting a few hours more for you to take care of that.  My clock wasn't even re-set.  So, I got to drive a Toyota for 3 days, pay $700 for inspections (no work completed) and pick up a dirty car that needs electronics re-set.  Awesome. THIS is a luxury brand service?  I don't think so.  Fail.

Phenomenally bad experience. I never been at a car dealer that was not interested in the slightest to talk to their customers or in essence sell a vehicle. I was ready to purchase a Range Rover but: I had to chase a sales person who then reluctantly showed the vehicle. After doing so, they walked away. There was no follow up on any call I made or email I sent. Reaching out to the GM did not result in a response either. I proceeded purchasing the Range Rover at another dealership. This location shames the Land Rover brand.

If there was a way to have NO STARS, that is what I would select.  I have been looking at the Range Rover Sport and went to the dealership with my dad who was visiting me.  The salesmen walked out and greeted my dad and didn't even ackonoledge me at all until I told him that I was the one purchasing the vehicle.  I asked the difference between the V6 and the V8 and he said $10k and anything else I could find on line.  He was beyond rude, beyond arrogant, and beyond sexist.  I told a friend of my experience and she said she was treated the same way so she went down the street and purchased a Porsche.  Two friends of mine who recently purchased Range Rovers said they were treated the same way, but swallowed it because they wanted the vehicle so badly.  Well, Range Rover has lost its appeal to me.  I would NEVER purchase a Range Rover!  It will be an interesting day when the economy shifts and people stop paying cash for these cars.  KARMA!!!

I just bought a full size Range Rover and was pleasantly surprised by the "non-pressured" relaxed and professional treatment by the sales, finance an general manager.  Once Sal straightened out the pricing confusion between their online sales, inventory postings, etc....Vincent to the rescue.  I test drove every luxury SUV on Stevens Creek and nothing compared to the muscle, silky transmission, comfort of standard options and uniquely engineered Supercharged Range Rover.  There is a reason why there is a waiting list for these vehicles and limited supply.

It is sex on wheels!

I just bought a Range Rover from this dealership and was very pleased with the overall experience. Mr Sal Mo was helping me through the purchase and made the whole thing very comfortable. This is not the traditional "pushy sales person" setup, but instead a very relaxed and personal sales process. I stated from the beginning what my preferences were and Sal was very quick to understand what they were and he was working hard to accommodate my needs.

My wife and I just bought a car here and we were originally just gonna do window shopping but we were surprised as well that we drive one home.

Sal was the sales who helped us.
There was no sales talk or sales pressure at all. We were free to check and ask for anything we need to know. We were given all the time we want to discuss in private. After the test drive, we were interested in finding out the loan terms. Sal was very helpful in getting all the info for us and answer the questions we had. He was very straight forward in pricing and didn't play back and forth games. Ray from finance was also extremely helpful in helping us find the best rate. He was very patient to listen and go with what preferred bank I like. He even found lower APR than what my preferred bank could offer and made me betray my bank. :) (I guess he's a bit shy and doesn't want me to mention his name. Sorry Ray!) We were very glad that we were getting the car and We honestly could not believe how smooth the transaction was. The whole car-buying experience was very pleasant.

Since we were thinking just window shopping on that day, I didn't bring my check book so I wasn't able to put down anything. Surprisingly, the guys here let us drive home the car and then let me drop off the check next day (This is only doable for someone responsible like myself). When I dropped off the check the next noon, Sal invited me lunch with him. Although I couldn't sit down for long because I had to rush back for work, I really enjoy chatting with you Sal. Btw, lunch was awesome as well. I never had this experience before and this was really my first time pleasant experience.

Big thank you to Sal and Ray in helping my wife and I getting our SUV so that we are ready for our first baby! We really appreciate the help and hope to do business with you guys again in the future!

I JUST bought my 2012 Range Rover Sport today! This is the BEST buying experience I have EVER had when purchasing a vehicle. Not the normal 3 hours  dickering back and forth! I am not a patient customer - dare I say I could even be a bit demanding?

My time is very spare due to the obligations I have at work. I did test drive my vehicle about a two weeks ago, went on vacation and came back and purchased it. I knew what I wanted to pay and the guys worked with me to meet my needs.

I can't say enough about the team I had who negotiated with me via tex, internet and phone to get all the details right. I even stated - just get everything ready - I need to be in and out of there in an hour. They made it happen!!

My review is for my trade in vehicle and purchased of a preowned 2011 Range Rover at Land Rover San Jose.  This was by far, one of my best vehicle purchase experiences.  From the time I found my vehicle online to actually seeing it at the dealership and finally purchasing the car.  I worked with Jay throughout the entire transaction.  Such a great guy!  He was helpful, professional and very friendly.  Almost forgot I was there to purchase a car.  Then we worked with the GM on the purchased price for my Volvo trade in.  Note, it had 99,000 miles already.  But Vinny the GM was EXTREMELY kind with the trade in value.  Transaction went quickly and smoothly.  Jay even drove the paperwork to my husband's work so he could sign the documents!  If you are looking to buy a new or preowned Land Rover, I would HIGHLY recommend Jay!!  You will be a satisfied customer.

My partner and I recently purchased a 2007 Range Rover Supercharged from Land Rover San Jose, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We worked with Sal, and he was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Unlike most dealerships which are high-pressure and intimidating, the staff at Land Rover San Jose does not operate like that. If you are in the market for a new or used car, be sure to ask for Sal!!

When it came time to do the financing, we worked with Ray, and he is the most professional finance manager of any dealership I've ever worked with. I really appreciate the respect he was for the customers, and he was extremely helpful in making sure all of the paperwork went through smoothly. I couldn't be happier.

It's a really great feeling to drive home in a beautiful (like new) truck knowing you bought it from trustworthy people who deserve your business. Buying a car should be a fun experience, but many dealerships suck the fun right out of it with high pressure tactics, a complicated negotiations process with many people involved, and overall - a general lack of concern for their customer; but not at Land Rover San Jose! I cannot recommend Land Rover San Jose highly enough - most especially Sal and Ray.

My wife and I recently bought an LR2 from Sal, and couldn't have been more pleased by the entire experience.  We've had our share of pushy and/or dishonest salesmen, so we definitely came in with our guard up.  After the first 30 minutes with Sal I had a really good feeling that he wouldn't try to steer us wrong.

Sal wasn't pushy, and he didn't try to give us the normal financing run around (the let me go talk to my manager in the back routine).  The entire experience was comfortable and in the end we've been extremely happy and satisfied with our purchase.  In fact, if it weren't for Sal's patience and guidance we may have ended up choosing the wrong color/features but he gave use the space and information to help us choose the perfect package.

We were pleasantly surprised by the service we've received from Sal and the entire staff at Land Rover San Jose, and will certainly return if we even decide to buy another Land Rover.

Went to possibly trade my BMW for a pre owned Range Rover sport and drove off in a new to me Range! Well a day later...thanks to my indecisive-ness. Sal helped me out with the truck, he was AWESOME. Extremely patient, never pushy or tried to upsell me on something I didn't want or ask for, never got that slimy car dealer feeling completely the opposite of what goes on at most other dealerships.
The whole process from start to finish was great and I felt like I was in good company the whole time. Got a sweet deal on the truck thanks to Sal and Vinnie and a great interest rate thanks to Ray. Chuck in the service dept made me feel at ease that I was purchasing a fine tuned machine!

I bought a BMW at a Land Rover Dealership and couldn't be happier.

After weeks of searching for a very specific BMW with certain options I found it at of all places a Land Rover Dealership.  After talking with Eric to confirm the car matched the ad and seeing all the great reviews on Yelp, I decided to fly from Southern California to San Jose.  I still wondered if the car was going to be in perfect condition as described, it's a shame but I've been to my share of car dealers that have a very liberal interpretation of perfect condition.  Eric picked me up from the train station and all my doubts were vanquished when we got to the dealership.  Eric described the car perfectly and the buying process could not have gone smoother.  There was no pressure, no gimmicks and Ray in finance and warranty did a great job getting things processed.  I even received a check a month later due to a registration refund.  I had no idea it happened and I appreciate the honesty.  This is a wonderful dealership with great people that make it five star.

Sal is the typical persistent sales rep who make you puke by insisting on picking up a car from what they have. I went there to place an order on the Evoque but he disregard my order and tried so hard to get me in one of his available units which cost "just an extra" $20,000. But this whole thing took nearly 3 hours!!!! Finally I decided to lease one but he took forever to calculate and show me a rough quote (what i could do in 2 minutes on my smartphone).

A little history first, we had a 2010 LR2 which was purchased from LR of SJ. We loved it. We had a great purchasing experience and we received great service from LR of SJ. For some reason, we then made the unfortunate decision to trade it in for a BMW X5 from Stevens Creek BMW. After three years of receiving the complete opposite from Stevens Creek, we went back to LR of SJ and purchased a Range Rover Evoque. Once again, the buying experience was painless and easy. Our sales advisor was Karen Mammini, who was so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire experience. She even went so far as to deliver our new Evoque to our home since my wife wasn't available.

I had a loose key, so I got new to be programmed. They normally charge 90$ to program key for a car. In addition to that I requested to check my car battery and install license plate. They just charged me for key programming;  battery and license plate were free of charge. Staff was super nice and smiling. I even got a free car wash coupon.
This is one of the best customer service I've ever seen in the entire state of California-no kidding!!
Highly recommend Land Rover for any business!!! I would deff go for Land Rover San Jose if I had to purchase a car and/or do any car related services.

I love love land rovers vehicles. I bought my first LR in 2005, it was when LR3 was launched meaning there was a waiting list, we have to fight for it but we got it thanks to LR. Back then having younger children we wanted space & extra seating. From the moment I drove that car I knew that as soon as my kids were older my next car was going to be a Range Rover. So here we go again, my husband insisted that we didn't need an SUV anymore. After a lot of talks we decided to get a MB CLS-550. Beautiful, luxurious, flashy, etc. Seven months went by and I couldn't get used to it, I was missing my LR so much that my lovely husband decided to make me happy giving me the choice to sell the MB & get my dream car. We started searching for it & realized we were in the same situation we experienced in 2005, waiting list because of the new body style of 2014 models. Well after not finding one I called one more time Land Rover San Jose just in case. We were there like a week before without luck. This time the right person answered my call, his name is Sal. He asked me what I was looking for and told me let me see what I can do for you. Like he said he calls me back & said he probably has one for me. Then later on it was confirmed, I couldn't believe it. I have no idea how he did it but he made my day. Two days after  I was driving my Range Rover S Supercharged. All of this thanks to Sal. He called us several times to make sure everything was good with the car. If you need someone that cares for you when buying a LR make sure you ask for him :)

High level Review:
1. Don't EVER lose your only key to your LR4
2. Nick is your guy

On valentine's night, I lost my only key at the movie theater. I thought it would be better that I went back the next day to resolve the issue instead of trying to get my car out of Santana Row so I called up Land Rover SJ (thankfully, they are now open on Saturdays), and told them my very sad story. Nick got me the number to the LR road side assistance to get my car outta there and to the dealership. Ends up, if you lose your key, you need a rush order to get a replacement from England, then if you don't have a spare, you need to replace the CJB (read: $$$$$). Took 4 days to get my car back but I got to drive around in the loner...which made me miss my LR4 even more! Net net, Nick and Samantha were absolute angels, helpful, understanding and most of all so nice while I was freaking out at Santana Row with my car.

Vincent, I know you read these posts. Don't let Nick or Samantha go...my business might go with them!

Recently bought a vehicle from Land Rover San Jose and was helped by a lovely gentleman called Sal.  Not only was Sal extremely professional, he was also very kind and caring.  He wanted us to make sure the vehicle was the right one for us.  It took us a couple days to decide and Sal always called to follow up when he said he would.  We were treated extremely well and Sal even called afterwards to see how it was going with the new auto.  We will definitely return to Land Rover of San Jose when ready for the next vehicle!  Sal was a doll!

We just bought our first Land Rover, an LR2. We were initially helped by someone who didn't even give us her business card, but then were lucky enough to be helped by Sal. He was very helpful, honest and upfront. He followed up when I asked him to and was not at all like a typical car salesman. We took a few test drives to finally decide which one we wanted and he was patient with us while we decided.

The financing was great and the deal got done very quickly when we had decided to buy.

I recently had a tail light that was out in my Range Rover Sport, and I called in to get a quote on a replacement part and was quoted $600.00. I almost dropped the phone in shock. When the tech learned it was just a bulb, he quoted me $3.50. In my opinion, it was Christmas a month later after the real one!!!!

I brought my vehicle right in, and the Associate(Forgive me for not remembering your name.) was SOOO enthuastic with helping me out. I couldn't believe how friendly, and courteous they were without trying to upsell you on a bunch of crap you don't need. In total, my service took about 15 minutes and even chatted with a few other associates who stopped by to say hello.

EXCELLENT customer service at this location. And although, I do not want to come back anytime soon(Because my truck treats me so well) I would definitely go to this location should I need anything for the future.

I leased my evoque from them. So far the experience is excellent. I had been to the other dealership and the experience was totally different.
1. As soon as I entered Eric was nice enough and he knew that I was on a mission. While doing the test drive he askede isn't I took Evoque on the test track which the other dealer never mentioned. As soon as Eric drive it over the test track I was sold. I was ready to lease it.
2. Negotiations Vincent told us that he will give us the best deal and he did.
3. Service is excellent. I fitted accessories and they were nice enough to drop me to work and pick me up.
The whole team at this dealership is excellent in service and knowledge.I'm enjoying my Evoque.

SO, 5 years later, I am back in my new 2014 Range Rover Sport and this time, I was able to get it from Land Rover San Jose. I feel the right thing to do now, is update my review and I can give a complete review for this dealership.
I worked with Eric to order my car and the process is as easy it can get. Now, it was difficult to order a car that you've never seen or drive before. But, with this beauty, it was a risk worth taking and its been rewarding since. Poor Eric had to answer my million emails and questions and he always responded in a timely manner. My car came in early just in time for New Years!! I was in and out of the place and on the road with my new toy in about an hour. Their GM, finance manager, and Eric were all pleasant and great to work with. And Nick, after 5 years still remembered me. This is what I call customer service.
So, when I get that survey, they will be getting all 10s from me.

Went to the dealership when I returned home and Karen was superb.  Never any pressure, showed me the cars they had, took a test drive.  I had to determine what I needed in options.  When I went back, traded my Compass in and really no hassles at all.  It did take about four hours but the car and the experience was worth every second.  I'll refer anybody that want's to purchase a Range Rover....Get the Evoque...It's awesome!!!  Thank you Karen and the staff!!! Let me start by saying I have never written a review for any other place in my life, but this place was the most pleasant automobile buying I and my girl friend have ever had. We stopped by on a Saturday a few weeks ago to check out the Evoque as we have not seen one up close yet. A gentleman named Jim Rains talked to us briefly and showed us the car. We went on our way and thought about it for a few weeks which putting a deposit to reserve a White color Evoque.  

After a few weeks, Jim called us and the white Evoque has arrived. We were ready to buy when we walked in the door this time. There was never any pressure to buy through the whole process. Jim and Ray simply stated the facts and let us decide on our own. They were very fair on our trade as well.  In fact, the GM Vincent took an extra step and find us the best price to trade in the car as well as good price for this new Evoque.

After purchasing the car, Jim went through every single function of this car and make sure we know how to use it.

Land Rover San Jose has earned our business for a long time to come. Great Team, Great People !!!!!!!

I generally don't write reviews but this is well deserved by the crew at Land Rover SJ.
My husband and I were meeting Eric at about 3pm on Sat.  We walked in and was immediately greeted with a warm hello by Omar.  He told us Eric was out on a test drive and offered to assist us.  Omar explained the car in detail and took us on a test drive and showed us all the features.  He was patient, knowledgable,easy going and not pushy at all.  

We were ready to sit down and talk price when we got back to the dealership. Prior to sitting down at Omar's desk, he introduced us to Eric to let him know we were the 3pm appointment.  Eric was friendly and very knowledgable as well.  

We sat down and told Omar we didn't like to haggle and didn't want play the numbers game. We were serious buyers and he came through without playing the game or wasting time. OMG..what a pleasant experience and I must say, a first for buying a car.

Next up was Ray from finance since we had to finish the paperwork and pay.  Again, another knowledgable staff member from Land Rover SJ..  Ray is great (that rhymes) and he's such a hoot and fun to talk with.  He's funny and professional but answers all your questions at the same time so yes, he can multi task!  He was so cool because I only brought 1 check and miscalculated the total by 1k ( couldn't count properly since I was so excited with my new ride) so he let me but the 1k on my rewards credit card (yay, more goodies for me).  

All in all, the best car buying experience ever.  This is a top notch dealership with awesome folks and we LOVE my new car.  It was so good my husband is thinking of getting rid of his Lexus GS and he is considering buying the Sport.   If/when he does, Omar will be getting a call from us and we'll definitely be heading back to Land Rover SJ.

I had a great experience buying my Range Rover Evoque, yesterday! The dealership was professional and my salesperson, Jay Singh was knowledgeable, honest, patient and very responsive to my concerns and questions.

I called and spoke with Jay on Sunday around 11:30 AM. He told me that they do have the color I wanted in stock. I went over there right away. The finance manager (Ray Briones) was very professional as well. When negotiating a price, I told them the price I wanted and they came very close. I did not have to go back and forth, we just completed the sale. I was in and out (including test drive) within 2 hours.

I will be picking up my Evoque later today. Overall this has been a great experience!

I will buy one more for my wife next year from them as well....

Purchased my first Range Rover yesterday kinda, but had to sale it back.  The story is bought a previous owned  2006 Range Rover it was a beaut I mean clean inside and out.  i drove it to my Uncles house not far from dealership to have him drive my car back to Oakland. While heading back to dealership heard a bell then seen a message from vehicle computer message flashed rather quickly and vanished but not a peculiar lite symbol.  When I got back I went in and got Eric he came out to investigate he decided to have a tech check it out. Anyway there was a major problem with the tranny Ray sat me down and give me my money back and offered to fill my gas tank very sorry about my (what I felt deal of the century) vehicle gone bad.  I give them five stars because they did right by me I purchased vehicle as is no warranty honorable guys the whole team thanks and maybe we can do it again its one out there somewhere for me 2006 RR

Initially, we dealt with another customer service representative that did not meet our needs, but Nick became our personal contact within that department from that day forward. Nick is a knowledgable representative and would highly recommend him. In addition to this, I would like to thank Mr. Omar for taking the time to help us through this LR2 purchase in Dec of 2012 and assisting us with all of our questions with patience and no "pressure" to purchase. Really had a frustrating first (and only) experience with this dealership. I saw a car online that I was interested in, and called to confirm that it was as it was listed online, and still available. I was assured that both were indeed true, and that I should come in.

So I did. During rush hour. On a Friday. Took me forever to get there.

When I arrived, the salesperson with whom I spoke was nowhere to be found... the car was there, but had the wrong transmission and was the wrong color.

Well, at least traffic got even worse, so it took me an hour to drive home (4 miles).

My husband and I went to this specific dealership because of the high ratings on Yelp in search of the 2013 All New Range Rover Supercharged.  Not only did we not find one in stock, we were not greeted by anyone nor spoken to during the 15 minutes we were there in both the small showroom and the lot.  There were two employees there that were not with customers sitting at their desks.  The least they could have done was acknowledge us and told us someone would be with us shortly. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.  We are truly disappointed considering we were planning on spending $100k+ on a car.  We will take our business elsewhere.

Worst car salesman experience

We came in to this dealer tested drive and wanted to lean more about their new model Evoque, I was seriously consider trade in my Q5.  This car salesman - Jay was not inputting information but asked me maybe read the catalogue.  Rushed me back to dealer because he has to unloaded a shipment and he's "the only" salesman available at that moment. He suggested us make an appointment before come in to this dealer next time.  At the end he refused to provide his and store manager information to us.
 We were amazed, upset/offended by his attitude and this experience, it's unbelievable...!  

This is the worst car salesman experience we ever encountered.

Land Rover of San Jose offered us the best vehicle purchase experience in our 24 years of buying and selling vehicles. My husband and I traded in a used Land Rover HSE and purchased another only a few years newer. The service in San Jose was exceptional; they worked hard finding the right vehicle at the right price and giving us the most for our trade-in. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and the customer service continued through our test drives, questions and deal-making. It's evident the long-term goal at Land Rover San Jose is to amass repeat customers, not just one-and-done sales.

If you are looking for a Land Rover dealership, do not waste your driving around. Our local (Livermore) dealership had one salesperson available when we stopped in to speak with somebody. (That one salesperson ignored us while speaking to another client. No smile or eye contact to say he would be with us shortly.) Walnut Creek seemed anxious to make a sale but made deals on the phone they couldn't stand behind when we showed up in person.

In closing, it's worth any extra drive to San Jose. Ask for Omar (sales) and Ray (finance). They will take care of your needs. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

Rick Pruitt, fantastic parts guy!

Currently I own my second LR3 and I have had six other Land Rovers before this one, I've recently moved back to the Bay Area and have not been to LRSJ before.  Between my Land Rovers and other luxury vehicles I've owned, I've experienced all kinds of treatment from Parts, Service, and Sales Department employees (generally arrogant).

Rick Pruitt is a refreshing change, a hard working guy that smiles and is ready to serve even your simple inexpensive parts needs.  It's because of Rick that I'll return for service and would highly recommend Land Rove San Jose.

The reviews about this place aren't a lie. I have at adamantly recommend Andy Harris, and his superb work in getting me into the vehicle I wanted.

I approached this dealership in the July/August timeframe to scope out a Range Rover Sport. Andy was extremely helpful and put me in the seat of a used 2011 RRS Supercharged to get a feel for what was out there. It gave me a chance to play around with some options and experience the supercharged engine (awesome). I immediatly fell in love with the tan interior in this vehicle, but I was keen on getting a 2012. No pressure from Andy once he confirmed the reasons for wanting a 2012. While we waited for the details/information on the 2012 models to be released from Land Rover, I spent the next two months hunting around at competitors (Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, etc) to experience what else was out there. I quickly came to the realization that the LR brand is really special: the ENTIRE brand is dedicated to making off-road luxury vehicles.

When it came time to finally get the car I wanted, Andy did an extensive search and found a very special and limited car for me. It wasn't exactly what I wanted, and so Andy kept looking. After much searching, nothing came up that matched my exact needs. I was faced with the two options: getting something soon that was very exclusive, but not quite a match to my original plan.. or order exactly what I wanted and wait a while. I spent some time looking around at new 2012 RRS's that were trickling into the dealership that had individual features that I thought I wanted, and realized some of them were not as important to me as I had imagined.

When it came time to get the car, the purchase price was fair, and the process was very smooth. I think just about every review on here mentions Ray, the finance/lease/payment manager, and I really need to mention him as well. He is really a pleasure to work with and was upfront with options. He didn't hide anything from me and crunched through a bunch of calculations to get me the numbers I was looking for. The whole process was honestly the best I've ever had (I've purchased 6 cars in the past from Honda and BMW).

Andy made the pickup of the car a real treat. He had it parked under the covering facing me as I pulled into the dealership. We went over all the details, and there were a few nice little surprises in the car as well.

I highly highly recommend these guys if you're serious about getting a rover. It's really a nice experience that I would do all over again in a heartbeat; Andy was the key to making the process fun and exciting, and Ray made closing the deal very easy. This is exactly what you would hope for from a British automaker.

So this will seem a little odd because I actually bought a Nissan Xterra there and not a Land Rover.  I was in a  terrible accident and my previous Nissan was totaled. I was driving by with my husband five days later (Oct 30th)  still a little gun shy to even be in a car and I saw this Xterra raised up.  I loved the color so we stop to look.  Karen (who works there) just happened to be updating some signs and greeted us.  I was really dreading the car shopping experience at dealers but they were so nice and totally no pressure.  Karen you are great...seriously.

Anyway, we left and came back a few hours later and bought the car from Karen and then she had Ray in financing help us with all the paperwork from our credit union.  Ray you were great too so nice and helpful!  A one stop shop!  (I think they called it a cuddle shop)

Great friendly place. No pressure to make a purchase and they have some great Defenders from time to time. As far as vehicle service, I've never had any issues, however the prices seem a bit on the expensive side. Many independent shops won't touch my car and that's when I have to hit the dealership. Estimate given is always close or exact to payment. Drop and car pick up is a breeze. Never had to wait long.

It has taken me too long to write this review.  I purchased a 2011 Range Rover Sport from Jay at Land Rover San Jose.  Jay was amazing - from first contact, to the sale process.  I like his no pressure style, and his willingness to address the details.  I purchased my car on a Saturday, which means the service department was not open.  Jay took all of the stickers off of my car and made sure that it was clean and full of gas before I left.  He also took the time to explain some key accessories that I would need (Iphone connector/charger!!) and placed an order with service so all I had to do was come pick it up.

Every time I call Jay, my call is promptly returned, and he followed up after I bought my car to ensure everything was OK.  Would definitely do business at LR San Jose again!!

My husband and I dropped in at Land Rover San Jose to check out the Range Rovers two weeks ago and met Sales Guide, Jay Singh.  He did not pressure us in any way and answered all our questions and gave us a cool demonstration driving over the big slanted hill in their parking lot.  We then got to drive a used 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged that was in perfect condition.  A couple days later, we bought it!  Jay was great to deal with and very nice.  He continues to call to follow up that we are happy and.....we are very happy!  The coolest car ever and Jay is great!

As mentioned previously by others, this 5 star rating is for the SERVICE department at LRSJ.  Previoiusly, I have never been pleased by dealer service on my BMW's and Mercedes vehicles and always ended up at independent shops.  My experience with LRSJ service department over the last 7 years has completely changed that.  It shold be noted that I bought my LR elsewhere and probably will also with the next one I intend to get soon.  However, I know where I will get it serviced.  Chuck, Nick and Leigh are courteous, responsive, honest and provide the level of service you might only expect from an independent business owner.  They have earned my confidence and repeat business.  I highly recommend LRSJ for service.

About a year ago my husband bought me a new volvo wagon for my birthday. We are definitely thinking about starting a family and my volvo wagon is just too small for a stroller, costco groceries etc. I've always loved and admired the Range Rover and Land Rover line of vehicles. Came here recently with my Yelp Sis to test drive a car after a day of shopping and lunching at nearby Santana Row.

Came into the showroom and was greeted warmly by Karen. I told her what my husband and I were in the market for - the Range Rover. My husband is interested in the Range Rover Supercharged and I'm interested in the Range Rover HSE LUX. Karen was welcoming, polite, kind and informative as she showed me the vehicles in the showroom. There was only one question Karen didn't know the answer, so she jotted it down and called me later to answer.

I've test drove the following vehicles- Volvo XC60, Volvo XC90, Porsche Cayenne and the Ford Explorer- all have the feel like driving a truck. I was hesitant in testing out the Range Rover at first. Karen drove us to a empty parking lot where I was able to test drive the Range Rover. To my shock and utter surprise the Range Rover drove like a comfortable luxury car and not like a SUV/Truck, the ride was smooth and just plain wonderful. I even had the confidence to drive through the high traffic areas near Valco Mall back to Steven's Creek to the dealership. I'm a definite fan of the Range Rover HSE LUX- its a roomy car, has a huge trunk and drives like a dream.

This is what every car dealership should be like.  I purchased a new Range Rover about a month ago and Eric Swanson went above and beyond to find us the exactly what we wanted -- his low key demeanor and no pressure approach is really a rarity when visiting car dealerships.  If you are considering purchasing a Range Rover or Land Rover, you simply cannot find a better sales person than Eric Swanson to help you with the process.

This is my first time at this establishment. Max ( my rover :) is due for a break pad and oil change.

My appointment was for 8:30 am but I showed up half an hour early and walked in. Found Nick at his desk. We exchanged pleasantries and I said I was early. His reply? It's cool! I'll take you now :) The service dept in Fremont was a see saw. Up and down. Good and bad. So a very skeptical customer here.

I waited for Max to be done and I was told that I can wait in the front. There was coffee and water. Very comfortable chair. Soft enough to sink in and watch people test drive different rovers.

Wait was over. But before that I have seen Nick at least twice. Wth updates and a quote before the job was started.

He was very patient, professional and very organized. So in the end he's Very efficient.

Responsive, attentive and organized. Love it! The service was stellar. Hope they continue this good work :)

Scheduling online is available and so easy to use.

1 year since I purchased my LR4 (with some hesitation after reading consumer reports). The vehicle is awesome, everything you could imagine but this dealership surpasses my Land Rover driving experience. Responsive, attentive and fair; how many dealerships can you say that about? If you're considering a Range Rover/Land Rover, be sure to stop here first!

Our sale rep is Eric Swanson and he is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions well and to our satisfaction.

Took my RR in for repair that another shop cannot fix (they had it a month), on a smog related issue. Even thought San Jose RR cannot compete this task, after a hour of troubling shooting, Service Adviser Nick took care of me. Pointed me in the right direction (another shop) and got my car fixed and smogged in two days (actually they were very busy and short handed during the holiday). Nick advised me on some works my car needed and when it would required. I have trust in Nick. Thanks!

Love this place!

Since we live in the Los Gatos mountains, I decided that I needed to get rid of my sporty Audi for a big girl car. My Dad just bought me a Range Rover Supercharged, finally! He has been dealing with LR of SJ every since we moved to Cali three years ago and he never had a complaint. I'm so happy that I got the RR, the LR's are a bit too small to handle all the junk in my trunk. Better go back on the south beach diet :(.

I just bought a LR3 from another dealership (not a LR dealer) and they didn't really know anything about it, didn't even have an owner's manual. I called LRSJ and spoke with Chuck, who not only emailed me the pdf of the manual, but had me come in to change the bulbs on my brake lights (which was covered under it's warranty! whoo!). He also took the time to teach me all the neat options about my new LR3 and explained about the LR Experience Driving School. I felt like I was treated to the full luxury experience, even though I didn't buy my LR here. I will be back for all my service needs and am thrilled that I can call and ask silly questions, like how do I open the gas door?

Eric and his whole crew at Land Rover of San Jose were absolutely wonderful.

Initially, I was not expecting much when I contacted Eric at Land Rover of San Jose.  In the past few weeks, I've always felt cheated and robbed when I walked out the door of other Land Rover dealerships.  

However, Eric beat every expectation.  He was honest, low-key and there was no pressure at all during the whole process.  I happily came out with an SUV.

I highly recommend this dealership for your Land Rover needs.

Well I want to start off by saying we can't afford a Land Rover by ANY stretch of the imagination...but not once did I feel any less important to our salesman, Erik or the finance manager, Ray.

We went in to look at a Honda Element and as far as car buying goes, this was the fastest easiest transaction I have ever had! We also brought our 8 month old daughter and she was happy the whole time thanks to the fun little kids area they had for her.

I would recommend this dealership to anyone! It was a really awesome experience and I'm so happy we came here! We are very happy with our Element!

HEADLINE: You either love the badge or hate the badge ... but I've been a loyal customer of the Land Rover brand for the past 20 years, and LRSJ is the best dealership I've ever experienced over that time.

I've owned Land Rovers for the past twenty years and seen the quality of the trucks go up and down like a bungee cord.

Way back when , when it was still an independent auto company under Rover, the quality was miserable. They really did believe their main customer base was farmers out on the boonies somewhere ... right up there with farm tractors.

Electronics always had phantom problems, sunroofs would always leak, and, sometimes, the truck would have a mind of it's own and simply not want to start.

But I love the badge ... intensely ... and never wavered.

The Company's quality and engineering surged whilst under BMW's ownership ... and their engineering legacy held for much of the early years the Company was owned by Ford.

Now that the Company is owned by Tata India along with Jaguar, we'll see where that quality goes. I hope it continues to improve.

Now ... this dealership is the best I've ever experienced across any brand!  I mean that ... any brand.

Jim Rains has sold me two Rovers ... one a big Range Rover and then a Disco. He has always treated me like a VIP when I'm in for service and trolling around the showroom.  I love shooting the shit with him on the latest models.  Easy going, no pressure, and I can't imagine buying a car from anyone else.

The 'customer loyalty' deal he struck for me when the Range Rover was coming off lease was spectacular.

I'm a huge fan of Mr. Rains!!!

Then there's the service guys. I've been dealing with Chuck Dawson for ten years here in the Valley. He has taken care of three Rovers for me over that time, and all have been expertly cared for.

Chuck is always willing to go the extra mile for me as his customer ... whether it's getting stuff done under my third party extended warranty program, or giving me "loyal customer" discounts after the manufacturer and extended warranties have expired.

How good is their quality of service???? I still bring my Discovery here for servicing even though it has 125,000 miles on her. Yep, I pay dealership hourly rates, but I have to think of the old TV commercial ... 'you can pay me now, or you can pay me later'. Truck still looks and runs like new. Maybe, just maybe, it might be the way she's been serviced over the last seven years.

Nick, as well, is a terrific young lad ... Bellarmine grad ... extremely customer-centric ... great personality. He has assisted me when Chuck is out of the office or away for any reason ... with the same spectacular results. Always greets me with a cheery 'Hello Mr. _____!' whether I'm seeing him or Chuck for an appointment.  When was the last time your SA knew you by name walking in?

You cannot go wrong doing business with any of these guys.

In today's world of crappy experiences with stealerships, its a blessing to have come across this one.

When its time to buy the fourth one (yes, Mr. Rains, I have my eye on the new 500 hp Sport), you know where I'll be going to purchase her and service her ...

I bought my LR3 in Sacramento, but I have had it serviced here at LRSJ.

I have to say that this guy Nick S. is the gold standard by which all other public service professionals ought to be judged. He makes me want to buy a LandRover just so that I get to deal with him instead of the schlocks at other dealers down on Stevens Creek. The guy goes overboard, beyond the call of duty, all in a very sincere way, to make the customer not just satisfied, but delirious.

Nick, my hat is off to you... you can sleep well each night knowing you do good in this world. :)
