My girlfriend's 2014 Fiat 500S was in an accident two months ago (Feb 2015). The car has been repaired completely with the exception of the left rear shock absorber which has been back-ordered until SEPTEMBER 2015! Mind you, there is not a SINGLE Fiat shock absorber in the United States!  Federal law dictates that if you sell a car in the US, parts must be readily available. This has been a great car, but the lack of parts is, in fact, criminal.

Had to post this since my service experience was so good. Pulled up at my appointed time, they knew my car was my wife's and said, "oh this is Julia's car". They knew the car, what needed to be done and how long it would take (3 hours). I hung out at Starbucks down the street for a while and then back to their lobby (free wifi). Just did some work until Melissa said it was done (2 hours and 30 minutes including a wash). Could not have asked for more. I want to buy cars here just so I can use this service center. And my wife's Fiat 500 is super fun. Thanks, Capitol.

After one week the car in the service,finally got the car back.Electric cars are much smoothly during driving,and very quiet.I actually like driving my orange Fiat 500e when no charging issues.Wish I don't need go to the service for a long time.

I traded in a vehicle + bought a new FIAT at Capitol and it was totally smooth, and efficient - i would go so far as to say it was fun because all the people i dealt with were just genuinely nice.  

Ali Reza was handled our trade-in, gave us a great price (comparison with Toyota dealer & DriveShift.com ), and made the process totally painless.  Ask for him if you're trading in a car. Also, they buy cars even if you're not buying another one. So definitely worth checking in with him.

Tyler was the manager who responded to my online query via Amex TrueCar.  Very responsive via email, phone, and text.  We had a price and details worked out before I drove down to San Jose from San Ramon.  And guess what?  No surprises, random add-on costs, or anything.  He had the car.  Had it prepped.  Had it charged (electric).  It was exactly as described.  And the numbers were exactly what we agreed to.  Seems like a small thing, but you'd be surprised how often that doesn't matter (experience from buying cars from toyotas to porsches).

Sabrina was our rep and she tag teamed with Tyler to make sure that we parallel processed everything including filling out our registrations and rebate forms.  Quick walkthrough of the car, features, tips & tricks, and were were on our way.

Will be recommending everyone who could benefit from a transaction at Capitol FIAT to go there.

There are two types of car dealers. The new-school dealers that are upfront, not pushy and genuinely good people. You buy from them because you are confident you are getting a good deal and because you want to give them your business.

Old-school dealers are stuck in the past. During a time when consumers didn't have access to the information that is out there today. So they use the classic techniques we've all heard about. That pool of uninformed customers is drying up and not going to be around for long.

Capitol Fiat is a new-school car dealer and they are here to stay. They won't pressure you into a car and are very respectful when you do ask the difficult questions.

Since most people are looking for reviews about car buying, the review is 5 stars. Don't have much to say about the service department yet.

Wow what an amazing experience I had test driving the 500L the sales consultant helping me was Elena Vasko she is so welcoming and bright she really makes you feel customer happy when it comes to even looking for a vehicle. I highly recommend any of my friends or any future car buyer to go to fiat and ask for Elena...if I could give her a 10 star rating I definitely would, I never knew how safe and comfortable the fiats are I was hooked the moment I started test driving the vehicle. Very pleased with my experience at fiat.

This review is only for the service department, as I had a wonderful experience purchasing my car at Capitol.  I am giving one star because it's definitely an area that needs to be focused on.  I would have been a repeat customer as I live close by, but I now would rather drive to Fremont to get my car serviced and I would not recommend anyone I know going there.

The whole experience was ridiculous and a waste of my time.  I stood in line with only one other customer in front of me.  I had made an appointment prior to coming.  Once that customer had been assisted, it was my turn.  Instead of helping me, the service rep decided to ask everyone around in the dealership whether they needed help or not and completely ignored me. I must have stood in line for another half hour waiting while she decided to then call up people.   I don't know whether she had something against me due to my race or what, but I had to wonder because I never met this woman before and I was the only Asian woman there.

Once she was actually assisting me, I found her behavior to be curt and rude, oftentimes cutting me off in mid sentence.  When I came back to pick up my car, my husband was with me and noticed her rude behavior without me having to mention it.

Bottom line is that people have a choice and there is lots of competition out there.  I read another review that was very similar to the experience I had...it's probably the same service rep.

Purchased an all black 500e the other day and love it! I also had one of the best dealership experiences at Capitol Fiat. My sales person was Jose. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the car. He also didn't pressure me like other car sales men and was super friendly. The general manager also stopped by to welcome me in. They had me in and out the door within 2 hours. Thank you for the great experience!

Went to Fiat a couple of weeks ago and test drove an orange 500E. Really liked it, but wanted the black interior. Elena said she'd be in touch as soon as they had one in. I wanted the sun roof too.

The car came in and Elena immediately contacted me. I loved it, but it took a few days to persuade Hubby that I really wanted it.

Went back today and drove home in my cute little orange Fiat 500E. Loves it!

Great deal from Tyler, and great salesmanship from Elena.

I would recommend Capitol Fiat if you are thinking about getting one of the cute little cars!

We were greeted by Elena. The process went wonderfully, I didn't feel pressured and we left with a car full of gas. She was attentive enough to leave the radio on the station I said I listened to during the test drive (we bought a different car than the one we test drove). I would recommend this dealership.  Everyone we interacted with was very nice.

I just helped my mother purchase a Fiat 500... Jesus in sales was simply awesome, excellent product knowledge, great listener, not pushy and service oriented. He had spoke to my mother 3 months ago - he has made such an impression that when the time came to make a purchase she insisted we return to him (I had found a Fiat of her liking elsewhere).... As a bonus Billy in the Credit Dept made it impossible (due to the great deal) to say no to extended warranty. The cherry on the purchasing experience sundae was a completely detailed car, full of gas even though the transaction was completed well after closing.

BIG TIME recommend Jesus, Billy and Capital Fiat!!!

Update on Nov 2014

When my car went in for a warranty job it came back in a less desirable state, with "new" problems I found surprising from a dealership.

People make mistakes, that is inevitable. Capitol Fiat is no different. I believe the important part is how these issues and disagreements are resolved, and how companies (and people) learn from that so not make the same mistakes again in the future.

After some discussion and some negotiation we managed to come to a happy ending that made me trust them again. I was also happy that I was being heard and understood.

The last star is missing because it was rather challenging to make myself be heard, some headaches in the middle that could probably been avoided. However, I am certain that that last star will come with time, as they keep up their good work and maintain a very transparent communication between them and their customers.

I've been dreaming about getting an Abarth for quite some time now. I was moving from Portugal to the US so I thought that I would get the car here.

The guys at Capitol Fiat, specially Jose Pina, helped me out with this process and I felt like I was being valued as a customer and also has a person. I had some issues with financing but in the end we managed to get a good financing for my car.

They are very experienced with both knowledge about the cars and knowledge about how the financing system works. They have a good selection of cars and are willing to help you with everything. They are nice folks too :)

Because I have never bought a car in the US, I have no relative therms to compare. However, I believe that my judgement also needs to come from how happy I am with my experience. And I was pretty happy by the time I left the dealer :)

I've been searching for a fiat abarth for quite some time. I researched it and was finally ready to take the first step to owning one. I can honestly say that I'm extremely happy that I went to capitol fiat first!! It was the best dealership experience from the moment I received an email to make an appointment from Mr. Eric Seivers, to the moment I drove away with the car of my dreams due to my helpful salesman Jose Lopez! I will recommend any of my family or friends to this wonderful dealership! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure I had an enjoyable time! The loan manager Ashley was even able to help me get a lower monthly payment! I have nothing but fantastic things to say, and just want to thank everyone at the dealership for being wonderful people who have made me a VERY happy customer!!!

What a positive experience it was to lease a new car from Capitol Fiat! I had some trepidation about getting my first electric car, but Melissa and Bryan were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. Melissa was kind enough to provide me with all the pricing details via email before I even decided to go visit in person. Often times the manufacturer's website will promote leasing prices that are inconsistent with what you find when you go to the dealership. But Melissa was right on with what the promotion said, and that honesty upfront was wonderful! I also prefer not to have any front license plate drilled onto the bumper of my cars, and these days it's hard to find a dealership that doesn't drill into cars as soon as they come off the delivery truck (so sad!). Melissa checked the inventory, found a car that was exactly what I was looking for, and it just so happen not to have the front bumper drilled yet. She put the car on hold for me, and set me up with an appointment later that night with Bryan, the sweetest salesman ever. Bryan came out to greet me in the parking lot when I arrived. He patiently oriented me to all the features of the car, went for a test drive, and explained everything I needed to know about life with an electric car. The car buying/leasing process is necessarily a long one, but I have to say that it was delightful to spend those few hours with Bryan. He got me all set up with my $2500 California electric vehicle rebate application and materials ready to send out in the mail the next day, he oriented me to my EV charging options, got the Fiat app on my phone and connected my phone to my car and Tom Tom, and he did all of this after the dealership was closed (I arrived at 8pm on a Friday). Bryan was truly a no pressure salesman, he's such a kind and patient person, and I'd highly recommend anyone to go visit him and Melissa at Capitol Fiat!

I noticed an interesting tactic when the dealer (name withheld) handed me the key to my new used car: He emphasized that they had just detailed it, filled the tank with gas, and asked with sudden sincerity if I'd give them a five-star review on Yelp. It was a lot like when a waiter first acts courteous and attentive when they bring you the check.

On the day my partner and I went to buy a used Fiat at Capitol, the dealer had a severe cold and had just been smoking, so you can imagine the delightful test drive. He coughed and stank while we sat in the confines of a Fiat 500. There were obvious cosmetic issues we would need to pay for since the car had previously been a rental. When I asked if he would budge on the price due to those issues, he immediately snapped, "No way; we can't get the price any lower." We continued the talks and, later, when I was about to write a check out for the purchase, the dealer said, "I shaved off a hundred dollars so you can buy the missing foot mats." Just a few minutes earlier, he had asserted they couldn't possibly lower the price. The contradiction was: He would lower the price if it was by his own graces, but not in negotiation with me. This probably owes itself to the tactic I mentioned above, to give unexpected concessions before asking for a perfect Yelp review.

The next day, we noticed we left the lot with only one key. My partner called twice and left a voicemail once to ask about the spare key. I also wrote an email to the dealer. Two weeks later we haven't received a response. All they need to do is confirm that they don't indeed have a spare key for the car so we can pay for our own new copy without wasting money. But the fact that our dealer didn't mention the missing spare key irks me. It's also troubling that we've already had to buy new wipers and feel the breaks buckling on downhills. For all the reasons above, I'm leaving a less-than-perfect review. Now would someone out there please create a way for people to buy a car without dealerships?

Very good  service when I bought the car. I give it 5 stars.
I would give 0 stars for their service center. They guy there was so rude. He just refused to help me or even understand what the problem was.  He did not care if my car broke down. He just says, call us when it breaks down but won't look at what the problem is even when my car says there is a problem.

I can't say enough good things about this car and my experience with DGDG Fiat.  First I was  greeted by Elena who was genuine, knowledgeable  and very attentive even though she was wrapping up with another patron.  I was looking for a more economical vehicle as I do a lot of driving, and I was putting too many miles on my leased Mazda SUV(from DGDG Mazda of course).  As I was looking for a commuter car, I didn't care about added features, pleasantly the car came very nicely equipped. I was leery about buying a small car as I am 6 foot 2 and will use this car for toting children.  Configurations of the car allows me to sit a little higher leaving  quite a bit of leg room in the back as well as the seats fold down creating a large space.  The car is zippy and handles extremely well.  The sticker advertised 40 miles per gallon however when I do freeway driving I see 42 mpg, more than half my miles are around town and my average is currently 36 mpg.  Last month I was rear ended by a full size dodge truck.  My daughter and I had minor expected injuries, and the car really held up its end of the bargain. While my car my car was being repaired I was give "a comfortable car".  There was no comparison!  The Fiat was clearly superior car and handling fuel consumption and power , the only thing comparable is the price  Between the price and the exceeded expectations and safety, this is an excellent value and experience!  I have to thank Elena because if it wasn't for her I would have passed over the car thinking it was too small.  Next time I'm getting the Abarth!  Way too much fun

I had a 2006 Mustang Gt that I needed to trade in because of a medical emergency. I could not drive a manual stick because of a bad ankle. I shopped around other dealers to see what my trade in would receive. DGDG buying Group made it very easy and offered the best price. Thank you Justin for all your help.
I then used their network to buy a Honda CRX right on the spot. Melissa was great and handled all the paperwork. I did not have to hassle with shopping because they had the car I wanted. I would refer DGDG and  Capitol Fiat to anyone looking for a smooth fair trade.

Mellisa helped us out and she was awesome!!  You can definitely tell that excellent customer service is her #1 priority!  I was referred to her by 2 coworkers whom had already leased the Fiat500e through Mellisa and they were raving about how awesome and so unlike the usual car salespeople (pushy/agressive) and so I said what??? I'll have to go and check this out!  Well my coworkers weren't lying!

The car was just what I wanted. . We did run into a mishap with my initial car color choice but they had others options in stock that I easily chose another color and it all worked out.   The deal was great.  Service was great.  Finance was a breeze! All good here!

I went on a Saturday to look and was met by Elena - energetic and f***n great. She helped me negotiate (with a few discrete helpful hints on the best approach to the best price) the contract. It was a special situation, a 2013 Abarth had been on the lot and it was now February 2014. But the dealer was also very helpful and flexible in the negotiations. I do think I did much better than he was entirely happy with.

I am back today changing the oil. I have truly enjoyed the spirit and responsiveness of the Abarth. The white has been a great choice, red leather seats (heated) awesome, and turbo - slaps you into your seat. Pretty great.

I like Elena a great deal, Ive come back and sat in her office for quite a while just to talk. She is very professional, and provides a warm touch to what can be a trying process. Cant say enough good things.

We went in to test drive the 500e, and the process was amazingly simple.  We  drove it, picked the color that we wanted, went for lunch, and when we came back, we did all the paperwork.  Eric made it very easy.  We had to wait in line to get our papers processed because it was a busy Sunday, but once we got into the financing office, we were out in a few minutes.  Erik made sure that our car was ready for pick on the day we agreed, and he even took a rag to dust the Fiat clean before handing it over to us.  We were extremely pleased with the process, service, and the Fiat!  It drives beautifully!

We had narrowed our search for an electric car down to the BMW I3, the Nissan Leaf and the Fiat 500e.  The Fiat was the last one we drove.  The BMW was faster and had a longer range, but uncomfortable and really expensive.  The Nissan was roomy, comfortable and quiet.  But is was unattractive and our kids are grown and gone so we don't need the back seat much.  The Fiat had the style and amenities that suited us.  But the biggest difference was with the salesperson.  Ours was Elena Vasko.  She was the only one in our experience who seemed to know about the car and the charging.  The guy at Nissan didn't even know what the range was.  She was very thorough with the test drive and had ready answers for all our questions.  The whole process was pretty easy and painless and before we left Elena even made sure our phones were all synced up so we could use Bluetooth and control the car from the phone.  This was a stellar buying experience.

I would say that they really should upgrade the showroom so it is more in keeping with the quality of the rest of the experience.

What a great experience! I went to Capitol Fiat because of the great reviews, and now I know why.  Adrian Negrete greeted me and was so helpful.  I was interested in the 500e.  He pointed me to the car, we took it on a pretty extensive test drive, and I was hooked.  They had plenty of stock for me to choose from,  Adrian walked me carefully through every step of the transaction.  Even through the finance part and rebate part.  He let me know up front all the costs.  And he helped me get a pretty good deal.  Capitol Fiat and Adrian Negrete have me sold on a Fiat.  Thanks!!!

I started with asking quote via email for 500e and then I made an appointment to come in the weekend. I came in and Elena showed me the car, explained the car inside out and we went for a test drive. The car is very quiet and smooth! We took the car to the highway and even though the car is small, it has power! After the test drive, we started talking about numbers and everyone is easy to work with. Elena gives me their number, I give them my number and in less than an hour we settled on a price! I hate going in to dealership and I hate car buying process. Capitol fiat makes everything easier! Thanks Elena(and Tyler) for working things out with me!

What an awesome car buying experience!  Not only did I get an awesome little car, everything was just about ready to go when I got there.  
I started the purchase online and finished in house.  Instead of the typical five hour experience it was cut to less than two hours (I blame that on the archaic practices still implemented by car manufacturers)
Eric was amazing, attentive, and amusing

If I'm allowed to have a complaint, it's that I can't get the darn Fiat App to work on my phone, but I blame that on Chrysler, not the dealership :)

This review relates to my recent purchase of a Fiat 500e.  Overall, we had a great experience with Capitol Fiat.  Our salesperson, Adrian Negrete, did a great job.  He was very informative, enthusiastic, easy to speak with, not overbearing, and extremely patient as we took time making our decision.

Our purchase trip was the second time we visited Capitol Fiat in the car buying process, and each time we felt valued as a customer, were quickly taken care of, and not pressured to make a decision.  We were seriously considering the Nissan Leaf as well, though our experience with the local Nissan dealership we visited was not up to par in comparison to Capitol Fiat, especially as it relates to being seriously pressured to make an immediate purchase and also not having numbers presented to us in 100% transparency, and did have a serious impact on our decision to go with Fiat.  No issues like that with Adrian and Capitol Fiat, everything was straight forward and to the point, very black and white in negotiations.

The reason I give the dealership a 4, which I still consider great; the facilities we waited in weren't great and more important to me, the purchase process took a VERY LONG time.  I realize the purchase process and paperwork is time intensive, but both my wife and I felt it was a bit excessive given the dealership was pretty slow that day.  In addition, the external detailing of the car wasn't spectacular as there was water spots all over it.  Ticky tack comments, but when you are buying a brand new car, you expect everything to be perfect in those kind of respects.  Either way, great experience with Adrian and Capitol Fiat; I would definitely purchase from them again in the future.

Julio helped me purchase my 2014 Fiat Abarth and was excellent. He was super accommodating and even came in on his off day and stayed late to complete the sale at my convenience. It was very easy to negotiate with him since he's really friendly and not condescending like a lot of other salesman. If I were only rating Julio I would give this place 5 stars!

However, Steve, the finance guy wasn't as friendly. He was a bit condescending and talked over me many times as I tried to clarify terms in the sales contract. I understand that it was late and technically a little bit past their closing time, but he actually said "out the door! out the door!" after we finished signing and were walking out.

My best friend of over 56 years was in the market for a new Fiat 500 and after he contacted his credit union to fund his purchase they offered to arrange what could only be called a mediocre deal on a car that might take 2-3 months to deliver.
Last year, with the help of Paul Duran of DGDG's Capitol Chevrolet, I was able to negotiate an "impossible deal" on a new 2013 Chevrolet Camaro.  I call it impossible because every other dealer I talked to would tell me it would be impossible to sell the car at such a large discount.  DGDG sees it otherwise.  I have purchased many new cars and I have never seen a dealer make such an effort to find every monetary incentive on the table but also incentives that had expired.  These guys are definitely "connected" and apparently their successful relationship with the manufacturers they represent makes it possible for them to get $$$ back on the discount table.
My Camaro deal was exceptional and knowing that DGDG had a Fiat store under their umbrella, I contacted Paul Duran to set up an introduction to Capitol Fiat.  Done.  I was introduced to Tyler Block and Khaled Aldada.  Tyler would ultimately be the person I internet negotiated with and as with my Camaro, the deal on my friend's Fiat was "killer" from the start. (Note:  DGDG puts everything in writing whteher you ask them too or not...Comforting)   And, oh yes, I failed to mention that we were talking about a car that would be delivered within one week not 2-3 months.  A spankin' fresh 2015.  The car had one option that my friend could have lived without so I asked Tyler for another $398 to help offset the $1200 option.  5 minutes later, he informed he had done better and had found another $1000 by getting the manufacturer to honor a couple of discount certificates that were expired.  I asked for $400 and he found $1000.  Do all dealers do this?  Doubtful.
I informed my friend and he jumped at the deal.  I made a phone call to Tyler to confirm and to talk to him first hand.  He would call when the car arrived.  It arrived the following Thursday and I arranged to drive my friend to San Jose on Friday to pick it up. (the dealer is 45 minutes away on a good day but well worth the drive from anywhere in Northern California)   At the dealership my friend and I met Tyler, Khaled, and Eric who would finalize the deal and deliver the car.  Capitol Fiat even found my friend better financing than his credit union and, this is the icing on the cake, the final deal reflected another $500 discount as apparently the manufacturer's rebate had increased.  DGDG didn't even mention or attempt to take credit for it.
There you have it.  A new car deal that kept improving without the buyer having to break a sweat.  I wish I needed another car just so I could buy it from DGDG but as that is not the case, I simply will not hesitate to highly recommend any DGDG store to anyone in the market for a new car.  These guys put the fun back into buying a new car.

I went in last Sunday determined to find the Abarth of my dreams. I was hoping for a good price on my trade-in and an even better price on the Fiat.
I drove all the way from SF because their stock was hands down the best in the Bay Area. I was immediately greeted by Erik Seivers when I walked in and I told him what I was looking for. We walked back to the lot and I had my pick of over 7 Abarths. It's was refreshing to be able to not have to settle for a car with features I did not need, or be made to wait days to have them order a car that met my specifications.
Once I settled on the car I was interested in we took it out on a test drive and I was even able to hop on the freeway (I wanted to see how it handled at higher speeds).
Erik was very knowledgable about the car and even told me about the "Abarth Experience". This is a free day at a private racing track in Las Vegas, that comes with the purchase of the vehicle. I found that pretty epic!
It took me about 20 mins to decide that I was going to purchase the car and the loooong waiting period began. I have to make it very clear here that Erik and the staff at Capitol Fiat did everything in their power to make my experience pleasant and short. They met my asking price for my trade-in with no haggle and gave me an excellent price on the Abarth. The fact that I had to wait hours is all on the banks' and their financing analysts (I swear only one person works at Wells Fargo on Sunday!).
Once on got the numbers I wanted (I accepted their offer right away, yes it was that good), I went straight into the finance office and signed away.
The staff at Fiat were great!

PS Erik even installed the car seat I have for my job (nanny) in my new car!! Now that's service!

Just purchased a new Abarth from Erik Seivers, Internet Sales Manager. I had '75 Spider 19yrs ago. This is my second Fiat. This time, a brand new one.
I checked their inventory online and found the car I wanted. Requested more details from the website. Erik responded within 20min!  He offered me great dealer discounts and manufacture's rebate. You don't need to give them your phone#, just e-mail only, no pressure from the sales guy. Maybe because it was the end of month and 2015 models will be arriving soon, he offered me a great price. Went to Capitol Fiat the next day, test drove the car and decided to buy it. They did the paperworks very quickly. The finance lady was very nice and friendly. I purchased 5yrs maintenance and 8yrs extended warranty. She went around the office to get me the best pricing. I bought several cars before but, wow, these guys are really trying hard to build up a good reputation. I'm surprised I'm writing this but...it was actually a pleasant experience. I used to hate going to car dealers but I guess things changed. No lengthy negotiation, no pressure, not feeling like a hostage and no more 3 hours paper work. Ummm, I don't mind buying another car at this place!

I own a Nissan leaf and went to the charging station at the Nissan dealership. The place is designed to discourage you from charging at this dealership. First nearly impossible to  to get to a charging station especially the quick charge which is outback and you have to maneuver through all the cars just to get to the back to get to the charging station. The level 2 chargers are blocked off by cars the dealership owns and there they leave no room to charge park and charge. The lighting is terrible and feels unsafe.  Good luck trying to get a salesman to help. That's nearly impossible.

We I found this charging station the difference was night and day. The charges are right off the road. Well lit and found only one other car using the charging station.

Back in feb/march i was looking for a car (lancer) they had in the lot. I spoke with Melissa and set an appointment. The dealership itself was nice, clean and friendly. Melissa is a nice funny outgoing short lady. She interacts with you more than putting pressure onto buy a car. She made everything more comfortable for me. She even kinda taught me how to drive a manual transmission with the car i wanted (i somewhat forgot how to drive a M/T car).

Poor customer service

I made an service appointment for my  500 pop and the girl i spoke to was rude and cut me off when i was trying to explain why i needed a service appointment. When i was transferred to the service dept the guy i spoke with was nice and made the appointment, but we accidentally got disconnected and i called back and the same receptionist answered the phone and AGAIN was rude and rushed over the phone.... i was so annoyed i canceled my appointment and made an appointment with a dealership 20 mins further.  

Whoever is working reception needs a class on customer service, her manners are deplorable and her tone was off putting. A person with this type of personality should not be answering the phones and representing the company so poorly

Yes, buying a car can be stressful. But the sales and finance staff at Capitol Fiat helped to put us at ease throughout the process.

Before my FIAT purchase, I was a Mini Cooper driver. Minis are nice, but they're also quite pricey to buy and maintain. FIAT is a great choice if you're looking for a vehicle that's smaller and fuel efficient, yet has Euro styling flair. Plus, the base model FIATs take regular gasoline and standard (non-synthetic) oil.

We worked with Eric and Matt for sales, and the incredibly fun and high energy guy in the finance dept. It's killing me that I can't recall his name! By the time you get to the credit-applying and paperwork signing, your spirits can start to sag, but the Finance guy sprinkled just the right amount of pep to get our excitement levels back up.

I would recommend Capitol FIAT without reservations to anyone looking to buy a car. My FIAT 500 Pop (the base model) is fun to drive, super cute, and comes in an array of stylish and unique colors. Check out the mint green or olive green - beautiful! We got the Verde Chiaro mint green, so we've dubbed our FIAT "The Toad" due to its shape and green color.

My only (tiny) caveat is that I wish the maintenance plan options had been a little more clear. We did end up purchasing the plan, and got a GREAT interest rate on the car loan too.

Looking forward to turning heads in my new "Mrs. Toad's Mild Ride." See you on the freeway!

My husband and I had been tossing the idea around for a while about whether or not we wanted a Fiat 500e. We finally decided that we would go look at one and test drive it. Our experience at Capitol Fiat and specifically with Jesus Ortiz made the decision to get one easier than we could imagine. Jesus was eager to help us (and not in the normal annoying, pounce on you way that car salesmen can be). He greeted us and showed is around the closest Fiat 500e as if he was our friend showing us an awesome car. The test drive was great. My husband and I were both able to drive the car and of course we fell in love with it. When we got down to the numbers there was minimal negotiating because Jesus and his manager had already set the car at a very fair and competitive price. All in all the experience was fantastic. Jesus was awesome and the staff at Capitol Fiat were great. Jesus also made sure we left with our car fully charged and ready. When our other car's lease is up we will be back to see what they have to offer us at Capitol Fiat.

Jose helped us out to get a lease on a fiat.
We got to drive it on regular normal roads. when we requested to try it on the freeway, Jose let us extend the test car session. He also lead us to a hilly area to test it out.
They didn't have the exact features we wanted, so Jose was able to give us a better deal.
He gave us various print outs so we could see the financial difference depending on how much down payment we put in.

I've been through a handful of brands and dealerships and finally decided to buy a Fiat from these guys. I waited a long time to see how their post sales service is before writing this review.

My experience with sales rep. Taylor Matson is great. He knows the inside-out of the car because he drives a Fiat himself. I've been driving mine for a few months now and I can tell that the information he offered are candid and accurate rather than the typical exaggerated sales pitch.

The final negotiation is also much more pleasant than some of the other places I've tried. Being a price conscious buyer walked in with a clear idea of this car's fair market value, I'm satisfied that we were able to hit the price sweets pot in a very short time without a hassle. I like the non-starch, no-game, to-the-point style these guys do business.

I also appreciate the help from Ashley in finance department. She went out her way to cut my loan rate down.

To be honest, the dealership's poor interior appearance put me off on the first sight. But once you look past that, the cars and services here are actually gems hidden in rough.

I was downsizing from my Audi S5 to a fiat 500 Sport.  I chose this dealer because of the ample selection, even though it is 1.5 hours from my house.  I bought the car and the transmission failed on the second day, the dealer in SF replaced it.  I called the general manager at Capitol, Khaled Aldada, to discuss my options.  He was very empathetic, responsive, accountable, and professional!  Kahled and his staff turned a problematic situation into a positive enjoyable experience.  I ended up buying a CC VW from him, I love it!  This planet could use more people like Khaled; high levels of integrity, ethics, and humanity!!!  Thanks for restoring my faith in the auto industry and humankind!

I started my long dreaded car shopping on line and after visiting numerous Fiat dealerships  and other dealerships in my immediate area I became disappointed and discourage to find that  no one was willing to offer me a great deal on a car.  

I finally decided to go out of my area, took a long drive to San Jose Fiat met with the salesman Julio Garcia and OMG the long drive was totally worth it!!!!  Julios' exceptional personality over exceeded all my expectations of a sales person.  He was patient and listened to my every needs..... leather interior and heated seats, 4 door and baby-blue exterior was a MUST.     I was knocked right out of my socks when Julio delivered the exact car I wanted and the negotiation was a breeze!!!!   I must say this dealership went above and beyond my expectation.  The sales manager (his name escapes me) came over introduced himself and thanked me for coming over...whoa I have never been greeted by the sales manager let alone being thanked for coming to the dealership.  My entire experience at the dealership was the best ever.  Even the Finance person Onik Golaziz was real and once I told him I don't want the extras he didn't insist like other finance people try to convince you to buy all the extras.

I would definitely recommend the dealership to anyone.  I love my car and I especially love it when people stop me and ask me about my car!!!!!  Thanks Julio for all!!!

Came back home with a happy wife and a Fiat 500e. My wife and I had a great experience here, we worked with Elena and Erik. Erik is very knowledgeable, went straight to the chase and gave us a good deal. He is also super responsive via email. Elena is awesome, she is very nice, super helpful and super patient. My wife wasn't sure about getting the car since she did not test drive it at first. She just got her drivers license and is quite shy. Elena went above and beyond getting her to feel comfortable and test drive it again with her, keep in mind that this was already 9:00 PM on a friday night. She waited for us with no pressure and stayed to wrap it up with us till 11:00 PM. Steven in Finance is also cool, you will be in and out in no time. We see this dealership working very hard to meet buyer's needs. It was great working with them.

I was looking for a graduation gift and knew the Fiat was my daughter's favorite car. Her favorite color was green, but she loves the convertible. I did some research online and found both a Pop model and Lounge convertible at Capitol Fiat. I sent a request online to ask about the car and received a response almost immediately. After some interactions with Julio, I set an appointment to test drive the cars. I was met by Julio and worked with Mellisa to check out the cars. Mellisa knew the Fiat very well and was able to review everything about each model. I test drove both models and was torn between the two. Mellisa gave us great service as she worked both deals at the same time. The most difficult part of my purchase was trying to decide between green or the convertible. I did not feel any pressure at any time by anyone we worked with during our visit. We chose the convertible, and glad we did. Capitol Fiat was able to work with us on our financing and priced the vehicle to meet our needs. All in all, it was a great experience from beginning to end. Great experience working with Julio, Dan and Steven at Capital FIAT to lease my Fiat 500E.  

Initially, I had been looking for the advertised $199 lease deal on the remaining 2013 Fiat 500Es in the area where I live (north bay).  I had been working with the dealerships in the area and they could not find the specific 2013 Fiat 500E (orange/white interior/sunroof) that I wanted.

So searching the Fiat USA inventory I found the specific model at Capital Fiat.  I put in an email request and was answered promptly by Julio.  Julio doubled checked their inventory and wasn't able to find my exact vehicle so I decided to stick with the dealerships in the north bay.

Very soon after, Dan the manager called back to let me know he would try to see if he could find the car that I wanted. Later that day, he called to say he couldn't find it, however he was able to offer a much lower price than I had been quoted for an alternative 2013 Fiat 500E by the dealers in the north bay. Enough for me to drive 75 miles to San Jose.

The day I was to pick up my alternative 2013 Fiat 500E, Dan was able to track down the specific 2013 Fiat 500E I was originally looking for.  Eventhough the model I was specifically looking for was more expensive than the alternative 2013 Fiat 500E, he was able to give me the original negotiated deal!

During pick up, Julio did a great job making the transaction very smooth. Steven in finance was very quick and efficient and had the paper work was completed in record time.  I believe the whole process took only an hour.

My experience at Capitol Fiat was with Erik in sales and Steven in the business office.

I had actually spent the time to visit another Bay Area dealer fully intending on leaving with a new Fiat and came to a price and was ready to pay. That dealer did not have a car ready and their service staff had left early so I would need to return the next day via BART and get the car the next afternoon. I felt like the sales manager there didn't really believe I was going to buy the car or something. Even when I told them that I really really wanted to leave with a new car. Anyway, I told them I would call them in the morning and let them know when I would be there to finish the transaction. I did tell the salesperson that a business should never send a client ready to pay out the door because the chance of something spoiling the sale increases after the person leaves.....

Well after a 45 minute commute home and a bit dejected I decided to go again on the Fiat web site and expand the search area. I saw that Capitol Fiat had 4 vehicles in the color I wanted so I called them. By chance Erik took my call and I told him my story and what I wanted. I told him the price I was going to pay and that it was the other dealers bottom price. He told me he really wanted my business and would call me back in 10. That he did, and he quoted me a price out the door $500 less than what I was going to pay earlier. Erik offered to stay late if I could make it down that evening or since I was not trading in another vehicle he suggested that I could take the train the next day and he would pick me up at the station. I figured that if I was planning on taking Bart the next day I might as well take the train to do business with someone who expressed a real desire to take care of me. Erik picked me up in the car I wanted we went back to the dealership and he took care of all of the business in a very straight forward and professional fashion with no mess or fuss. The financial part of the transaction always takes longer than I enjoy but Steven took care of all of the details as expeditiously as possible without all of the nonsense one often gets at that point of the transaction. Erik got the car ready and took me on a tour of my new car and off I went. The whole experience was as professional and straight forward as one would want.

I bought a fiat 500e from Erik.  He gave me the best price around and great service when I went in to pickup the car.  He does the initial credit check, etc and the VW next door does the title/dmv signing.  

I was very upfront about not liking the BS around buying cars, give me a final price and that's that, no extra fees, etc. That's what he did. No hard sell on the extended warranties or anything. Not sure if it was because I was upfront about REALLY hating the normal car buying process or if it's standard practice, but they treated me really well - not like the usual car buying experience where they push things on you you don't necessarily need.

I would recommend him if you're looking to not deal with the usual greasy car salesman.  Don't remember the name of my finance finisher from VW but she was really nice also.

I have to say if any one is in the market to buy a Fiat I would tell them to go to San Jose Fiat and ask for Elena Vasko. She is literally like a breath of fresh air when it comes to buying a car experience. I never felt pressured and she would send very nice and encouraging e-mails letting me know that she was available if and when I decided to buy my car. I never felt pressured and when I bought the car on January 28, I have to say that it was a very pleasant experience. Elena couldn't have been nicer and that goes for everyone at the dealership. I feel that I got a fair deal and am very happy with my purchase. I got the color that I wanted and a convertible because I liked the look of it and it drives great! I would recommend San Jose Capital Fiat and especially Elena Vasko to purchase a Fiat if you are in the market for one.

Short story:

I leased a car from Capital Fiat. When I leased it I let the Finance Manager know that I wanted to drive it for 6-12 months then have someone assume the lease. He said that he personally would handle the paperwork for free and that it could be done same day. Well it turns out that wasn't true. Nor was he willing to make it right.

Instead of it costing me nothing to get out of my lease it's costing me about $3500 with lease payments/lease fees and I still have yet to get out of the lease. Capital Fiat was generous enough to refund me $500 for the transfer fee but I have had trouble just getting to that point. On top of that my registration wasn't handled properly and now I have to pay a late fee of about $200 because of that.

About a year ago I had someone apply who was a high paid V.C. guy. He had to pay $150 and he shocked to find out that he wasn't approved. Fast forward last year and another applicant was approved with yet another $150 application fee. But then the leasing company said that they cancelled the approval because they didn't get the paperwork back. I can't imagine how it would be lost. But they encouraged to reapply with another $150 fee. $450 seems steep for application fees considering I don't know if they will actually process it and if this how they make money.

The last time I went to get an oil change Capital Fiat didn't put one of the hub caps back on right. It flew right off when I left the dealership. The service manager said they would take care of it and they never called me back. I ended up having to order one off of Ebay for $50.

I wish when they realized the problem that would occurred that they would have worked with me to complete this transaction with the leasing company. I ended up buying a Prius down the street from the Toyota dealership and I am very happy with the car and their professionalism. I haven't had one problem with them.

For those who live in the Bay Area, I think it is fair to say we all contest the heavy commute!  To help alleviate this, I was in the market to purchase an electric vehicle.

I wanted a car that had unique style, provided good comfort amenities, had decent range, and was priced affordably.  All roads lead to the Fiat 500e.

I chose Capital Fiat as a candidate to do business with, and inquired with them online.  Using their website "chat" function, I provided my contact information and vehicle of interest.  The very next day I was contacted by an Internet Manager, and I made an appointment to come in that same evening.

When I arrived to the dealership, I was greeted by my salesperson Julio.  I appreciated his product knowledge with the 500e, and we did a test drive.  Being pleased with the ride, we moved forward to make a purchase.  Negotiating on a agreeable price was pleasant, and in less than 2 hours we drove away with our new car!  

As this seems like the perfect buying experience, unfortunately it does not end here...

Two days later, I noticed that the EV was not charging.  I grew weary when the range indicator said I had "10 miles" left.  I plugged it in several times, and although the charging lights indicated charging, the actual range was not increasing.  I immediately brought the car back to the dealership, in which Julio obtained a loaner vehicle for me to use while service could troubleshoot the issue.  Unfortunately, it turns out the EV had a problem with the electric current from the charging source to the vehicle not being able to convert properly; thus, the vehicle was not accepting a charge.  Understandably I was very frustrated and upset about being a brand new car owner with a car that would not function properly off the lot.  I worked closely with their Service Manager Michael, and General Manager Khaled in resolving the matter.  In the light of things, they were able to turn a potentially very negative experience into a positive one.  

Here is the true value of this review...

Purchasing a new car that didn't run on day one is pretty about as worse as it can get.  I could have written a review about a purchase where "everything went right" (which I have purchased many cars), but that would be expected.  In my opinion, a more meaningful review is to comment on what a dealership will do to go the extra mile when a negative event occurs.  This is when their true colors are exposed.  

While my vehicle was in for repair, Khaled personally kept daily communication with me on its status.  This helped relieve the anxiety of what was going on.  In addition, they assisted me with other post sale amenities that made the long term experience of owning an EV valuable.  Khaled and Mike displayed high standards for excellence, morals, and customer service.  

If you are looking for a Fiat, I recommend this Capital Fiat.  I doubt you will have an experience like mine; however, if something happens with your purchase that is unexpected, you can count on them being accountable through the sale, and after the sale.  Khaled and Capital Fiat get 5 stars in my book, and like their ads say, "I'm a happy car buyer."

We highly recommend him if you are looking for an easy to work with FIAT salesman. When it comes to buying a car, I am sure most of us have a lot of quesitons, Julio was always patient and had a great smile on his face with good attitude. When we were ready to sign the papers, we got to meet Erik & Tyler, the managers at the dealer. They are both very polite and pleasant to work with. We had communicated by phone and email prior to our visit, and I was impressed by how organized and helpful she was.  I am certain we would not have made such a long trip to get a car if it were not for her.  Highly recommended.

i was on the waiting list for a FIAT 500e at capitol fiat. I am glad to say that this was overall a very pleasant experience to buy a car. my sales person was Melissa and she was the a main reason to make this a nice experience. she got me in a surprisingly short time exactly the car i wanted. Btw. there is a lot of information on the actual lease contract and in general one has to be very careful when comparing different contracts. i do not want to get in to this discussion because in the end i think i got a fair deal and that is all i am asking for.
For me it is ideal to have a very helpful dealership close by to where i live. what do they say "shop local".
Anyway i simply want to reiterate that i had a very good experience with Melissa and also with Steven (finance person).
So if you want to shop local this is where you should be able to walk away happy (or i should say drive away happy).

The sales and service team at Capitol FIAT made the process of purchasing a new vehicle not just comfortable - they made it fun.  

Page, Tyler, and Melissa together helped me navigate my way into a new Fiat in an incredibly short time.   They didn't complain once as I trekked across their large set of stock debating my options.   And they made the purchasing process fly...  which was fantastic given that I did all of this with small children in tow.

They were quick to understand what was important to me, what wasn't, and allowed me time and space to consider.   When it came time to work through the finance side of things, they were fantastic about showing me options and working with me to make sure there were no surprises.

I'd highly recommend this dealership, and I'd highly recommend Page, Tyler, and Melissa.   All three contributed to making this far and away the best car buying experience I've ever been through.

The Italians know how to make a little car great. And Capitol Fiat knows how to make customer service AWESOME.

We used TrueCar to find pricing on a new Fiat 500c Lounge. Between the two dealerships that honored the pricing, Capital was immediate in its response. Spoke with Melllisa via phone, not pushy, super friendly, and we went over the next day to work with her. A total joy to work with, ran around getting everything together. We were out of the dealership in three hours with a new car, a great rate on a loan, and a big smile on our faces. Only mild disappointment was having to decline some pricey options on the agreement twice. I understand he has to do his job, but still.....that's 10 minutes I won't be getting back.

As an aside, we spent some time at another dealer much closer to us. Total turn off, a bums rush and no sense of customer service. It was totally worth the drive and time to come to Capitol Fiat.

I went to Capital Fiat yesterday to walk around and check out the new 2014 500L. As I was scoping them out I was approached by a sales rep named Elena. She was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the car I was interested in. After pointing out the details and asking me my preferences she showed me the inventory and took me for a test drive. If anyone is interested I highly recommend the 2014 500L 4-door. It drives so smoothly, great engine and very spacious. When we got back to the dealership she started to run numbers with two gentlemen, Steve & Jason. While we were waiting, Elena showed me around introducing me to people, she made me feel so welcome and comfortable. As I started to work with Steve and Jason more I just felt more and more comfortable as Steve explained different options to me. The customer service and professionalism at this dealership is unbelievable, there was nothing "salesman's like" at all. After awhile of talking, running numbers, trading in my car and chatting they were able to work with me and I drove off the lot with the exact car I wanted. I have been to my share of dealerships and dealt with every and any kind of salesman and at no point did I ever feel pressured or pushed to do anything. I am a huge fan and advocate for this location, if you are looking for a great deal and awesome people to work with I highly recommend Capitol Fiat!!

Sadly, I am posting this update. We were sold an extended warranty which we were told we could cancel within up to 30 days. After reviewing it, we did decide to forego it. In July, I emailed and telephoned Steve who sold us the warranty and never got a response back from him. I even contacted him through Jose and never heard back from him.
Jose said he would 'make it happen' and 'help me out' but to date and several emails and phone calls later I am still waiting. It's now been two months since I cancelled and have not received an update nor have I received a refund.

Very, very, very disappointing. If I didn't know better I would think that we were dealing with an entirely different dealership (since we drove off the lot).

Hopefully an update will follow.

I have been wanting a 2013 Black Fiat ABARTH since February of this year. I had been putting it off for awhile, but come August, it was time to buy. I dealt with Jason, Tyler, and Jose. They are all sorts of amazing.

If you want a quick, no BS transaction, then come here. They are honest (yes, they exist!) car dealers whom give you a great deal. They have all bent over backwards to make sure I got the Abarth that I wanted, instead of trying to sell cars that I had no interest in (Fremont Fiat was the worst - STAY AWAY, Burlingame was ok, but not flexible, and still have a lot of BS to deal with).

She was very flexible and could meet my ever changing schedule demands without the bat of an eye. Elena worked very hard to make sure I had the best experience at their dealership.
The finance department was awesome, we worked with Wayne Wallace and he worked so hard to get us the best deal. In fact he actually got us a better and better payments by the time we went in to sign the paperwork. I have never went into a finance department and got a lower price and payment then I expected. Just bought a 500e from Matt Moore at this dealership.  This review is specifically for Matt.  He really made the whole process painless and was so completely attentive and accommodating throughout.  It started a couple of months ago when Fiat announced that the 500e model would be available.  So, I sent in a web form and got a call back from Matt.  I feel really fortunate that he was the one to get the lead.  I put down a deposit and then proceeded to bother him every day via text messages, sometimes more than once a day, until he sold me a car.  I was like a little kid on a long car ride, "are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet?"  He maintained patience with me and even better, was actually really sweet and supportive during the waiting period, promising pictures of them coming off the truck, etc.  After I finally took possession of my car, he set everything up for me.  All t's were crossed; all i's were dotted.  Plus, he continued to answer texts from me when I had questions or concerns.  He truly cares about his customers and will absolutely go the extra mile for you.  Ask for him :)

I've never had a positive experience in a dealership until today.  Normally car dealerships and the dentist feel about the same to me....  I went to sell a car that had some emotional attachment to us, it was bought for a family member by a family member that's no longer with us.

Kassandra first contacted me about the Kia I had posted on Craigslist, I dismissed her because she was from a dealership but she was persistent and eventually got me in the door.  After she greeted me and talked to me about the process, she took me to Jhustin at the purchasing department where he showed me the value of the car, went through all the features and add-ons to make sure that the value was accurate, then when his dealership wasn't able to take the purchase at the price we wanted he found a sister location that would.  

Jhustin's service was exceptional, Kassandra's persistence was the only way I came in... but even outside of these two employees, this entire place has a vibe you'll never encounter at a dealership.  I introduced myself to the manager (apparently the manager of Del Grande Dealer Group, Dave), at the end of the whole experience because I wanted to let him know what an incredible job he's done with his staff.  He thanked me for selling the car, talked baseball and books with me and then offered me a ride home!!  Even though I declined, that blew me away...

I'm a firm believer that cost is an issue in the absence of value.  This place presents enough value that if I was buying instead of selling, I wouldn't have even noticed the pricetag.

We were looking for a 500 L Lounge Fiat 2014 fully loaded, we had been dealing with the Crown Fiat Dealer for about a month talking about what we wanted. Grant it the cars had only been out for a short time and the model we wanted was just being released and dealers were waiting for them to arrive. Started checking around and contacted Capital Fiat to see what they might have. Spoke with Matt "Mateo" Moore on the phone and he went above and beyond to try and locate one for us. He called to let me know when they had received a few. So we told him we would be there in about 1 hour and half as we were coming from Pleasant Hill, Ca. He was very professional and had made us feel very welcomed. Matt was very helpful in explaining facts about the car we took a test drive and came back to buy the car. We were treated extremely well by everyone we dealt with at the dealership and would be more than happy to return and buy from them again!! Our time with the Steve the finance department went very smooth and we commented on the no pressure sales. We had an enjoyable time with Steve he made the time doing paperwork seem like it was a short amount of time and we were on our way.
We greatly appreciate how well were treated and how quickly things were handled.

I brought my Fiat in for service. I dropped it off and came back about 6 hours later... and found out they had done NOTHING to the my car. Didn't even check tire pressure. Didn't even do the freaking complimentary inspection I'd ask for. Didn't do the oil change. When I asked what the hell happened, they said, "Uh, you left, so we thought you didn't want it done." SERIOUSLY?!? I left... IN THE SHUTTLE you guys provide and LEFT MY CAR with you so I could go work for a living... and you idiots thought I didn't want you to work on my car?!?!? WTF.

These guys are a bunch of boneheads. Bad staff, bad management. Super lame.

This review is split into 2 parts. The first part is about how wonderful our salesman was, the second is about how the financing department left a TERRIBLE impression on me.

Matt Moore was my salesman, and I purchased a 2010 VW Beetle, (even though he is a Fiat salesman). When I first arrived to look at the beetle, the wait was about 10 minutes, and we had to go looking for a salesman to help us out, (which I found mildly unprofessional.)

However, as soon as Matt came out to help us, I began to be impressed. My boyfriend and I were shopping together, being as he knows about the cars and the business, and I just wanted a cute previously owned car. What I really appreciated was that Matt greeted me just as well as he greeted my boyfriend. I've encountered a lot of salesmen that will kind of ignore the woman, and speak directly to the man, even if the woman is the one purchasing the car. He got me into the car quickly and knew a good deal about the specs. I was able to test drive it within minutes, and he made the experience really great!

It was my first time test driving a car, or even really considering buying a car from a dealership. The next day he made the effort to follow up with me, (which I know is his job, but I appreciated it anyways because many salesmen disregard you as a serious customer if you look young), and I was able to bring my dad in to see the car and drive it as well. My dad was very impressed with Matt's service. He was outgoing, friendly, personable, and really made an effort to reach both of us on a personal as well as professional level. He wasn't the type of salesman to talk your ear off and pressure you into buying a car. He took the time to explain each and every aspect of the car and answer all of our questions. He gave us an incredible deal, and we had our family friend, (who is also a car salesman), come and check out the paperwork before we agreed to anything. Our friend assured us that this was the best deal we would get, and that the dealership was taking a loss by selling us the car.

My dad and I really appreciated everything Matt did to help us in the purchase of my car, and how comfortable he made us both feel with the process. He also left a personal thank you note in my car, which I found very sweet. You can tell that he really cares about his customers. I really recommend Matt if you're looking to buy from either VW or Fiat!

Now the bad part...

The finance person helped us at about 10:30 at night, and we really just wanted to get out of the office and head home, which was our first mistake. BE AWARE WHEN DEALING WITH THEIR FINANCE DEPARTMENT. The finance man, Steven, was shady for lack of a better word. He neglected to introduce himself to either me or my dad, and then proceeded to bullshit us through the signing process. We ended up with 2500+ dollars worth of extra add ons on the car that we did NOT want or ask for. Some we flat out rejected, and others we were lied to and told were free. Luckily the charges were reversible, but I guess he thought that since the dealership was losing money on the front end of the deal, that he would try and make as much as he could on the back end of it. It was rude, disrespectful, dishonest, and disgusting of them to try and cheat us out of money like that. (But I guess you should expect that from the car business.) He also told us to use their credit union, even though my dad was adamant that he wanted to use his own. He told us that it would help them out a lot, and that we could just refinance the car with my dad's credit union after 6 months (which means that they get to keep the money their credit union pays them for "bringing in" a new customer.) Refinancing the car would be such a waste of time, and why would we pay through a different credit union when our credit was perfect already. Like I said beforehand, he just wanted to make as much money as possible off of us.

I'd deal with another person if possible if you plan to purchase a car from them, and like I said, be aware.

Everyone at this dealership was fantastic and treated us like old friends ( purchased my Sport there also).  Jose helped us with our purchase and went out of his way to get the vehicle that we wanted ( had to get it from Bakersfield).  Melissa helped us when Jose was not available and she was very helpful also. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Fiat. I loved the Sport and really love the L!!!!

We got a Fiat 500 Sport Turbo yesterday and the experience was very pleasant. Matt Moore was our sales person and he is very enthusiastic and helpful with explaining all the benefits of the Fiats, without being pushy about it.

We managed to get a good deal on a better model than what we were aiming for, since the inventory was low and they tried to give us a good deal with what they had available.

The paperwork was handled promptly and very pleasantly by Steven Vose.

All in all a great car buying experience. We are looking forward to enjoying our new Fiat 500!

Rolled out of Capitol Fiat with a new 500 Turbo and all I can say is WOW!

Well, that's not all I can say, so here's the rest:

Frequently when you walk into an auto dealer their responses can very wildly: from complete indifference to over-the-top-pushy - NOT here! My wife and I were greeted warmly and asked if we required assistance, and after a very short wait we were introduced to Erik Seivers (one of the sales managers). Erik is top notch and treated us with respect and dignity while at Capitol Fiat. Erik was completely knowledgable when it came to Capitol's inventory and was able to show us quite a few models based on OUR selection criteria. We were ultimately able to test drive a version of the model that we were interested in. There is quite a "circuit" that is used for test driving that can put the vehicle through its paces such that you get a very good feeling for what the car can do - just a great experience.

When it came time to pick the vehicle WE wanted, Erik was able to show us around Capitol's inventory till we found just what we were looking for (he did say we could have ordered one special, but that would have taken about 3 months). Capitol Fiat has a great inventory of cars with more on the way for the 2014 model year!

Having chosen a vehicle, it was now time to talk numbers: typically this is the "least liked" part of your purchase/lease experience: Erik and the finance manager (Steven Vose), with patience and respect (with injections of lively humor) were able to answer all our questions for lease vs finance vs cash/check purchase. There was also great discussion about trade-ins and some vs down payment. At the end of the discussion we decided that a combination of trade-in, down-payment, and a finance of the remainder was the best option for us. Again, both Erik and Steve made this purchase as easy and painless as one could hope for.

All-in-all the entire experience was great! I would recommend that those people interested in a Fiat check out Capitol FIAT without hesitation. And ask for Erik! He'll get it done for you. And on the money side of things, Steven Vose is your man.

And as I said at the beginning: "Rolled out of Capitol Fiat with a new 500 Turbo and all I can say is WOW!" 'nough said:)

I've read the other reviews here and am wondering if my treatment has just been a fluke.

I wanted a Fiat Pop with a sunroof and the upgraded Beats Audio system. They didn't have my specifications so they offered me a base model for a nice discount and said they can get an aftermarket sunroof and Beats Audio system installed for me. I was a little wary of this and asked if they the aftermarket additions will be the same as if the car came from the factory. They mentioned the sunroof will be a little different but the audio system will be the same. I fell in love with how the Beats Audio system sounded in their display cars and specified that it was important to me that the car still had it.

So I purchased the car based on this assurance. Up until this point I must say that this was the best dealership I've dealt with. Everyone was very friendly and not at all pushy. A week after purchasing the car I'm finding out that it's not at all possible to install the Beats Audio system. It can only be done by the factory.

I explained my case to the sales manager and he said there's not much he can do because he didn't put that in the contract.

... Oh.

Well I guess I lose.

I saw a lot of rave reviews about their general manager Brooke Moore so I figured maybe I could speak to him. Turns out he's not with them anymore and they're in between GMs now, but I could talk to their "acting" GM ... I left a message, but still haven't heard back from him.

Pretty much out of options here so it comes down to Yelp review. Like I said, everyone is very friendly. However, their misinformation led me to buy a car (with no return policy) that I otherwise would not have purchased. The overall experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Advice to potential buyers: Do your research first if they tell you they can install anything aftermarket for you. Be sure to get everything in contract so you don't get screwed like I did.

Update:

So I've had the car for a few months now. The aftermarket sunroof they installed doesn't go back all the way, but I'll live. However, the JL Audio system they had installed for me (which they insured would be as good or better than the Beats Audio system) does not sound good at all. The high notes crack when when the volume is turned up and I honestly think the factory speakers sound better than what they installed. It cost me $700. In order to get it checked out, I have to go through their 3rd party audio company - who is only open during confined workday hours - no weekends. Living in SF, this makes it impossible for me to fix my audio system without taking a vacation day which I'm low on.

I've never been contacted regarding the satisfaction of my purchase. No surprise there. This whole experience has made me vow to never use a car dealership ever again. Better start saving up for a Tesla.

2nd Update - 1 Year Later:

After several phone calls and voicemails (over the course of many months) of trying to contact the general manager, I finally was able to get a hold of the GM of Capitol Volkswagen, who owns Capitol FIAT - Khaled Aldada. He said he was appalled by my treatment and wants to make it right. They let me bring in my car, gave me a rental, and had California Car Sounds install an amplifier and anything else necessary to make the system sound like how they promised. I must say, it now sounds great and I am very happy for that. Unfortunately after I got the car back, it now makes a loud rattling noise every time the car is stopped and slightly elevated. I hear it about 50% of the time I'm stopped. They said I can take it into California Car Sounds to get it checked out, but I'm not sure I will. It takes 3 hours with public transportation to get back to SF from San Jose while they look into what's wrong. Luckily, I can drown out the noise with my improved sound system. Overall, I'm definitely happier than I was.

My fiancé was in need of a car for over 5 months now and we had played around with a lot of ideas on what to get I told her to check out the new fiat but she kept saying no I can't see myself driving one well long story short two days ago we finally just went down and test drove one we were greated by this lovely short woman named Melissa.  She was very helpful, was able to answer all of our question, did pressure us at all to buy a car from her,  and to mention that she put up with my twisted sense of humor we purchased a brand new fiat 500 sport and my fiancé couldn't be happier. THANK YOU MELISSA!!!!! To bad you can't sell me a VW.

From the moment I called in to ask about a car, I was impressed with the quality of their customer service. I had the pleasure to be helped by Julio and when he told me that the car I was first interested in had been already sold, he went above and beyond to help me find the car I was looking for within my budget.

Needless to say, I am very pleased with the car I bought and I'm thankful for the fantastic help and service Julio provided. I wanted a nice little commuter car that could be parked anywhere in the city, wasn't a high maintenance nightmare like my last car :::coughVolkswagencough::: Fiat 500s fit the bill, so naturally I went online looking for the best deal on the color and trim I wanted. I had heard horror stories about people getting ripped off by skeevy car salespeople and had been in touch with many of those types in the search for my new car. I am however happy to report that Jose Piña is totally tops and an absolute exception to the stereotype.

I negotiated pricing over email and basically showed up to sign paperwork. I got an amazing deal on my car, and Jose was super patient and flexible in making it all come together. It still took ages to get the paperwork to come together, but I just hung out and ate the McDonalds cheeseburgers they offered me. I love my Fiat, and I love the experience I had here, so haaaaay.

I am giving this dealership 5 stars because it was painless and that was mostly  due to our salesman, Matt Moore. From the first phone call until we waived goodbye to him in our new Fiat as he took our picture and e-mailed the photo to us, Matt acted as a straight shooter. He delivered on what he said and, in addition, he gave me good advice re what to add or not to the car.  By the way, this was the fourth dealer I had contacted and not only was Capital Fiat professional they gave me the best price.   Well worth the trip from SF .

I picked up my 2013 Fiat Abarth convertible on April 19th,2013. NICE! The quick story is that about a year back I decided after selling my H.D. road king ( too many non-seeing drivers) and checking this car out that I would wait to get the convertible with the color ( red with black top) and options I wanted. After checking out a few other local fiat joints I decided to go with capital due to their positive reviews on the internet and a up to date facility. I met with Erik Seivers who is the internet manager and we worked out the cost and I gave him a down payment. Being that this was the first year for the convertibles we knew it would take a while to get. Erik kept me in the loop and when he got the vin number and that it was being shipped he updated me. Erik did a very good job and he knew that I was prepared with all my info. He never bugged me or tried any sleazy tricks. He is a good manager who knows the car and a pleasure to talk to and he does not  pressure you. The rest of the people working there from the other sales folks to the service advisors and " wrenches" are all very knowledgable. I would highly recommend this place to purchase from. No jerking you around and as long as you do your homework you will have a positive experience. thanks for all the help.

Capitol Fiat was an amazing experience!  
First off, it was by far the easiest, quickest car-buying experience I have ever had!  We were test driving a new Fiat Abarth one Saturday and a few weeks later we were driving out of the dealership in our new red Abarth Cabrio, thanks to the help of Erik Seivers.

Erik made the whole experience painless.  He was prompt in answering my phone calls and emails and had us a car that matched what we wanted within a week and a half.  He neither  pressured us to buy a car in a certain time frame, nor did he try to pressure us into buying such options as an extended warranty or extra damage protection.

And, of course, he is a pleasure to be around and is truly understanding of your wants and needs as a car buyer.  He asks you want you want out of a car and then tells you what he and Fiat can do to make it happen.  More than any kind of profit he makes on the car, he wants you to be a happy Fiat buyer.

Wow! The Capitol FIAT team really is great. My wife and I drove over an hour and a half away--passing three other Fiat dealerships along the way--and are glad we did. Susana Torrez was the best sales person we have ever had. No pressure at all. We found the car we wanted and could not have done it as efficiently and had as much fun without Susana.

The car shopping started over the phone to give Susana an idea of what I was looking for. She handled my finickiness without complaint. She emailed photos to prepare me for the trip to San Jose.

The paper work portion was more of an effort but not enough to take away from Susana and Tyler's great work.

Susana Torres is the sweetest, most accommodating and knowledgable sales person I have ever encountered while shopping for a car. She was very helpful in explaining all the different options that I could choose from.  I decided after moving to San Francisco that I needed to downsize my gas-guzzling mustang.  The Fiat is the perfect blend of fuel efficiency, economy and style.  In comparison to the SmartCar, which takes premium, I even the gas milage is better. The interior is much more plush and it doesn't feel as much like a golf cart/lawn mower as the SmartCar.  I am extremely happy with my Fiat and the service that is provided to me by Susana every time I bring my car in to get serviced.

Let me start by saying that I posted a review on sunday night about a few situations that we had to deal with that made us walk away with a sour taste in our mouths. I am happy to say that all situations have been delt with and my sister was able to leave the dealership today with the car that she wasn't able to on sunday. Thank you soooooo much to Brooke ( the general manager) for his work on fixing any situation that came about on sunday. I am happy to say that my sister had a smile from ear to ear and now feels safe. High five Brooke. I can not end this review without giving  Matt his well deserved acknowledgement for the great customer service that he gave us on Sunday and Today. I rarely ever write reviews unless there is a compelling reason and this is one.  My husband and I knew we wanted to buy a Fiat 500 since they were introduced.   They are awesome little cars.  We had done our research ahead of time and were very specific of the car/options we wanted.  We went to Capitol Fiat and Mat greeted us.  What we thought would be an easy process because we knew what we wanted and were ready and willing buyers became a very involved process because the car that we wanted was not available on the lot.  Mat checked the inventory a few times, offered us other options, but none met our criteria.  He went the extra mile to search for the car we wanted at other Fiat dealers as far as north and southern California.  At last he found our car in Southern CA.  Mat arranged the car to be purchased by Capital Fiat and ship it here for us to purchase.  There were other challenges along the way, but Mat handled the search and transaction in the most professional way, with integrity, and in a very friendly and hassle-free manner.  He and Capitol Fiat really went above and beyond to find us what we wanted, not just sell us a car.  Through this process, I must say that he earned our respect and trust.   If you are looking to buy a car...seek for Mat Moore.  He knows his stuff, but is also a very service oriented salesperson.

I am now the proud owner of a 2013 Abarth thanks to Brand specialist Jose Pina and finance guy Steven Vose! I prepared myself by talking to about 10 different dealerships before I finally gave Capitol Fiat a chance at my business. Not only did they have the best price of any dealership I contacted, they were willing to work with me through some complicated situations. They were great, and walked me through each step of the process and never left me hanging.

This must be the 10th car I've purchased in the past 5 years and this has got to be one of the best experiences EVER! I've purchased cars from, Mercedes, VW, Audi, Toyota and BMW just to name a few. None of those dealerships compare to the level of service I received here. Keep in mind, not all Fiat dealerships are the same... I went to the one in Fremont and they treated me like I was doing them a favor for buying one of their cars...

Trust me, you'll have an awesome time here, just ask for Jose Pina and the rest will be just you picking out the color that you want! Seriously. Easy. Do it!

We did most of our interactions using their online tools and it was fabulous.  We pretty much were able to show up, sign some documents and leave with our car.  It was so nice to not be at a dealership for 5-6 hours with my kids. This is a safe haven for new college grads.
Needing a new car I was concerned that my shopping would be filled with vulture like sales people pushing me to upgrade or extend my modest budget.
I did not have that experience at all.

If anything the personnel emphasized the functionality of the 500 series (great MPG and 7 airbags in such a compact vehicle). I really appreciate that everyone validated my budget and expectations instead of trying to persuade me to change my parameters.

For my initial visit Saturday night (01/26) I interacted with Julio. He let me test drive the 2013 Pop with my brother and dad. I asked a bunch of questions and then was introduced to Eric. Eric has been in the industry for nearly 20 years and is the top seller in the country (or maybe he's the top seller in the region and this location store is the top selling in the country - I forget.) At any rate, Eric has a phenomenal reputation, and for good reason.

The following day I re visited the store and decided I would like to proceed with my purchase. I wanted the verde chiaro but it was not in inventory. Eric said he would be able to get it to me Monday 01/28. To my surprise he was able to get me the 500 Sport in verde chiaro at basically the same price as the Pop. I am generally skeptical of sales people and the up selling tactics, but when the next model is offered to me for less than $1000 more than the Pop, I am definitely inclined to consider.

I ended up buying the 500 Sport :)

Trent was able to cut my interest rate in HALF. As I said I am a recent college grad so my work history is constituted by mainly retail experience (translation low paying jobs). I've only been in my current position for ONE MONTH. Clearly Trent's 11 years in the finance industry are not in vain. Granted I always pay my bills on time and never exceed my limit, I am still amazed at the deal he got for me. My monthly payment includes 3 yr maintenance and GAP coverage *which means if someone destroys my car the payments will become null*

I couldn't be happier with my experience :)

My fiance and I bought a used Ford truck last thursday (01/17/13) that i believe he found on Autotrader. Julio was our sales person and Trent was our finance guy.  All seemed well the day of, went smoothly and Trent helped us get the lowest interest rate. For all of that i commend them for their jobs and recommend Capitol Fiat.

BUT and it's a big but,

Not even 24 hours after owning the truck we experienced problems with the transmission stating it was over heating and since then it has just been drama and a long waiting game. From being told the warranty we purchased will cover the repairs, to the ford dealership stating the warranty won't cover the repairs, to then the Warranty company stating we weren't even in the system yet (though we were told the warranty was automatically in the system the day we bought the truck) having to call this person or that person. Not receiving calls back after messages left and worst of all its been over a week and we STILL DO NOT HAVE THE TRUCK. Today we've called the ford dealership and a person told us to call the Fiat dealership and nobody is answering or returning calls. So we probably will have to wait until next week to get the Truck back.  We were not offered a rental or any compensation, just a few apologizes, but we all know actions speak louder than words. This all has been very frustrating and makes me not recommend Capitol Fiat for buying a used car.

My husband purchased a 2012 Fiat Sport on Friday, 2/18/13 from Susana who had communicated with him very patiently via email for 2 weeks prior to that.  We had our 4 year old with us for the 4 hour process (half of which was due to us not being ready to choose between all the models) and Susana provided our daughter with coloring books and a safe place to play while we made important decisions.  We had a million questions and she remained helpful and friendly.  Our financing was handled by Trenton who was very genuine and efficient throughout the process.  It was the best car buying experience either of us have ever had and we love our new red Italian hotty!

Today is Tuesday, I bought my Fiat Pop on Saturday, January 12, 2013.  I live in Oakland, about 4 miles from the Fiat dealership in Berkeley. So why did I go 58 miles to shop at Capitol Fiat in San Jose? Two reasons:

1. The Yelp reviews for Capitol Fiat are more positive than the reviews for McKevitt Fiat.

2. I asked a question of McKevitt Fiat using their web site and never got a response. However, I asked a question of Capitol Fiat using their web site and got a prompt response from Susana Torres. That was on Thursday, and I decided to do my shopping at Capitol Fiat.

My sister and I drove down to San Jose. I had told Susana that I would come by for a test drive around 1 pm. At 4:30 pm, I drove off the lot with my new Fiat Pop!

Overall, it was a very good experience. When my sister and I arrived, Susana was helping another customer who was purchasing a Fiat.  So, my sister and I checked out the inventory. Susana approached us and introduced herself. Shortly she was able to take us out on a couple of  test drives.  My sister and I took turns test driving. We drove a manual first and then an automatic.  As I suspected, the manual was much more fun to drive.

I wanted a white POP, but all the white POPs I saw on the lot had red and white seats. While they looked nice, I new the white would get dirty fast. I wanted gray or black seats. Susana checked their records and found that they had 1 2012 white Pop , manual, with dark gray seats. I bought it!

I bought my Fiat from Matt Moore in last December.
The first test drive was impressive. He was not selling a car but was talking to me how fun the driving and living with Fiat is. I felt he himself really likes this car, which was great.

I didn't feel any stress from him through the process. Of course I knew the dealership had something they want to sell as their business, but he always respected my feeling and did everything he could do for me.

I was sticking at a particular combination of options so it was hard to find. They worked hard to search and finally found one for me. I really appreciate their effort.

Actually, this was the first time for me to buy a car in the U.S. It turned out to be a great experience. I am very happy with my small Fiat and I would definitely recommend this dealership.

Great Car, Fantastic value, Awesome deal, Poor buying experience

First, the initial test drive was a good experience.  Even though the salesman hadn't been selling Fiats for long, he was able to give us a good overview of the car and the test drive was great.

Second, we did put off buying for a number of weeks while we went back and forth over email to finally arrive at what was a good deal.  The patience with questions and large numbers of emails was appreciated.  The deal we feel was a good one for us.

However, once we received a quote and set a time to go into the dealership to sign the papers the buying experience was not so great.

1 - Even with a set appointment for 10AM and NO other customers on the lot or buying cars the entire process took 2 hours.  What would it have taken if we had tried to do everything from test drive to closing on-site, same day?

2 - We already secured financing through our own financial institution before we walked in the door yet the salesman insisted on filling out a credit application to go through their financing
 - This process was long, involved, and irritating (sitting and waiting while techno music blares at high volume made me want to snap every pencil on the salesman's desk)
 -  It was certain from the beginning to all of us that Fiat couldn't match the rate from our own financial institution (that's why we financed elsewhere)
 - For some reason, this credit process caused my credit report to be run 3 times: 2 by Capital Volkswagen and once by IBM FCU (????) - why so many times and once by a credit union??
 - It seemed the salesman spent a lot of time in the back office checking this and that

3 - While waiting I asked about a feature I wanted to know more about (Blue&me).  The salesman simply let me watch a video on his iPad while he was in and out working on the financing we didn't need
 - Customer first?  or Process first?
 - Still don't know if my car has it or how to use it.

4 - We also expressed interest in an extended warranty.  This again took a long time to get us a quote.
 - The salesman said the matrix of options was large depending on what we wanted as a deductible etc... and would take some time to figure out (remember the music blaring???  still going on)
 - Seemed to take such a long time to get us options.  Can't be that difficult that you need to go back and forth numerous times to get us a 2 option quote.
 - But we did appreciate that the salesman was able to give us great extended warranty options because of the dealers relationship with our car insurance provider. Worth the wait??

5 - Finally agreed on financing, down payment, and extended warranties and were ushered in to sign all the documents.  This is where we learned that part of the reason for all the wait was one of the dealer's employees didn't show up at 10 (our appointment time).
 - Gentlemen, please be honest and up front and we would have understood.  Are you afraid we would leave and not come back??? After all we had been talking about buying for weeks and it wasn't an impulse sale.
 - The person handling the paperwork said it would take 7 minutes - took 30.  If you set an expectation on top of an ongoing wait, please set a proper expectation

6 - After repeated assurances that the contract would be faxed to our financial institution so they could get their money, it has been several days without a fax.
 - Word is your bond unless you don't really mean it and have your fingers crossed behind your back?

7 - Perhaps the most annoying thing was being constantly asked to post something on Yelp about our experience.
 - Probably would have never posted this if I hadn't been pestered about it so many times
 - Be careful what you ask for

 Perhaps we caught them on a bad day.  But when leaving, the salesman asked me what they could have done to make the experience better. I told him it would be nice to come into the dealership and within 10 minutes have had everything signed and keys in hand.  I know this was not reasonable, but 2 hours and insistence on unnecessary processes, and a wait due to their employees work habits is not reasonable either.

I finally bought my dream car from Tam and Trenton Lukens who were great!!!

I was there Friday evening, test drove the 2009 VW Jetta, and decided to make a deal and purchased the car.  It was the quickest car deal I've ever had to do.  The dealers there were all friendly and nice to talk to. Today I went to pick up the car and got to drove it home!!!   I'm very happy and glad to have purchased this car. It made starting the new year fantastic and its my favorite color too, RED!!!!

Love my Fiat and Jeff Howery is great!

This was my first time buying a car (which, btw, Mini doesn't necessarily "prefer", there words, not mine) and I wasn't looking forward to dealing with salesmen. I'm one of those people who knows what I want and when I buy it I buy it or I don't.  

Jeff and the Fiat team made my experience low pressure and fun.  From the first few personable emails setting my appointment to driving off the lot with my shiny new car, I have enjoyed my experience.  

I drove my car the first weekend in November, told Jeff I was planning on purchasing after my vacation and he was fine with that. Even offered to let me store the car on the lot if I decided to buy sooner as I didn't want to leave a new car sitting for a week at my apartment.  I came back a week later after testing out a Mini Cooper (my dream car for five years) and asked Jeff if I could test out the Fiat again. He had offered me the option of taking it out for a couple hours during my first visit and I wanted to take him up on that offer. I had a great time with the car and needless to say, I bought it that night.

Side note: The Mini itself was an awesome car but at almost 10K more and then being told they did not prefer to be someones first financed vehicle, I was a bit turned off. Apparently great credit and a down payment aren't enough

The purchase process was a bit slow, but it was late in the day and Jeff kept my mom and I engaged in conversation the whole time. He gave me detailed breakdowns of the different service packages I could buy with the different monthly payments and did not push when I turned some of them down. I had a number in mind for my payment, and I was sticking too it!  Steven in financing was the same, made sure I was informed but didn't push when I asked for what I wanted.

I requested after market tires/rims so before I left on vacation, I dropped the car off and when I returned and I had a freshly washed car with new rims and a full tank of gas (part of their current deals on 2012s).  

Jeff has since followed up to make sure I'm happy and I am! I smile every morning when I get into my car.

I went to Capitol Fiat because of the Yelp reviews.  My original trip was to Fremont about 7 months ago.  I haggled with them quite some time and had to think about the deal.  I decided to check it out again today 11/24, but after seeing Yelp reviews for Capitol, decided to go there.    
       Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.  I dealt with Julio in the sales department and Steven in finance. Both FABULOUS!  Ended up buying the  Fiat 500C this evening.  Damn cute car!  
       Julio followed me home so I could have my new FIAT and my old  car at my home the same day.  Upon arriving, he got busy and helped me right away to move things around in my small one car garage to get it in.  UNBELIEVABLE, not his responsibility, but he did it anyway without thinking about it.
       Bottom line, this is the place to go for a car.  No pressure, no stress and very friendly people.   And to top it off, so far so good on the new FIAT!!  LOVE IT!

I have waited years to buy a new car and agonized over make, model etc..Finally I decided on the Fiat. I went to a couple of dealerships and ended up at Capitol (still not fully understanding all the differences in makes of Fiat).

I have to give Susanna Torres a ton of credit, she allowed me to test drive every single model that they had on the lot! I even left and came back another day to test drive some more, I think I should give them some gas money at this point, however, if I hadn't been able to do that I still would be without a new car.

Susana was a great saleswoman and made my family and myself feel very positive about the experience of buying a  new car.

I LOVE the car, love it and I really liked the dealership as well.

Just a word of advice (awesome sales experience aside) read the contract carefully, no matter how tired you are at that point. There were 2 items presented to me which I thought were part of the new car purchase (maintenance plan and a 24 hour road care plan) that were not included and I paid heavily for. I re-read the contract at home to realize this and I really feel dumb for not catching that .

I didn't ding them for this as a consumer it's my job to look for these things and Susana was so awesome I didn't want to lower her ranking either.

So go buy a Fiat from Susana!!....just read the fine print

He guided me through the process of purchasing my new Fiat as well as all of its features and is available to answer my every question. He was willing to "play ball" and was serious about executing the deal. The sale was not an end to the business relationship. He is always reachable and has amazing customer service skills. The entire staff at this location is the best! From the salesman Julio who promised us a free car detail, the finance guy Trent and the nameless guy that helped us when we went back. He installed the license plate holder and wheel locks free of charge.

It was the best feeling! We weren't fleeced for money every turn. Instead we got helped and offered more help above and beyond the usual. I know. I've been to at least 8 car dealerships and bought cars that much time as well.

The entire experience buying from them was painless! Joy to buy and therefore a joy to drive what they  sold!

I am a girl--a 34 year old girl--but still a girl that has grown up with a fear of car salesmen.  LOL.  Well, with life's twists and turns I ended up seeking a more economical car.  I am divorced and without a "man;" so I walked into this place with a wall around me ready to encounter and defend myself from any BS.  Well, honestly, I didn't need that wall, at all.  The guys there are "from what I can see and sense"are awesome people.  (I put that in quotations because I am still in shock at how nice everyone there was; it's like I am waiting for the real them to come and haunt me...).  Back to my story, they are actually human there; like you know, with heart, emotions and humor?!  They're not jerks that make you feel stupid or push stuff on you--my first encounter with them was so cool that they let me test drive a fiat overnight so I could see if the car would work well with my two young kids--and it didn't work out and that was that.  I dropped the car off the next day with no questions asked.  When I was ready to look for something else I went back to them a few months later and ended up trading in my Mercedes C230 for a VW Rabbit.  Kind of a funny trade in and purchase at a Fiat dealership but since they're connected with the DGDG, they were able to help me out.  Again, I am still waiting for a letter in the mail saying "dumb a**; we ripped you off" or imagine them laughing at me behind my back--and if it that's really the case; they did an EXCELLENT job at hiding any ill intentions.  Jeff was awesome to work with; at one point I had an appt. to check out Fiat's but my niece had been diagnosed with Leukemia a few days prior and Jeff totally understood and even asked if he could add her name to a prayer list at his church and I said yes.  I hope this doesn't turn off non-Christians or atheists away from coming here; I thought I'd mention this because that's the type of people that work here; I felt so respected and "cared for" while there--and Trent is so funny and just real--I highly recommend you go to them for any car; not just for a Fiat.

The only negative thing I have to say is where are the women salesmen guys?  You gotta hire some!  Much Love to the guys at Capitol Fiat.  Keep on keeping it real!  :)

If I could give 10 yelp stairs, I think I would. Hands down, Capitol Fiat provided the BEST car buying experience I've ever had!
This is this 5th time I've purchased a car, and I've never worked with a sales manager like Jason, a sales rep like Ben, or a finance manager like Trent that I appreciated more and who completely eliminated all of the standard negatives of the car buying experience. They were honest, fair, never pushed anything, and though we were all there until 11:30pm at night closing out the deal, no one was grumpy or rushing the process. I can completely understand why Capitol Fiat is the #1 Fiat dealer in the U.S. Any one of the key points in the car buying cycle (sales manager, sales rep, finance manager) can taint the overall experience - but clearly, these guys operate from a unified front of providing a great customer experience and satisfaction.
It's worth noting that Jason was friendly from my first email and phone call to my walk in the door. A sales manager that engages with his customers from the get-go is refreshing (there was no back-and-forth with the sales rep and manager when we were negotiating the final numbers - Jason came over himself to walk through them). Ben knew his stuff! He walked me through every feature on the car including setting up my phone with the Blue&Me feature, even though we were well past dealership closing time. And Trent was the first finance manager I have ever worked with who didn't try to add on a bunch of packages I never want. That was one of the nicest surprises of this whole experience. I don't know if it's because it was late, but I totally appreciated that!
I'd had an AWFUL experience at Burlingame Fiat the day before and walked away. But I knew what I wanted, where I needed to be on price and had expectations on my trade-in value. Jason worked hard to get the numbers where they needed to be, we even started out at an offer on an almost fully-loaded Sport edition that was below what Burlingame was offering on the nearly-base model of the Sport. No wonder these guys close deals and are leaving customers singing their praises - including me. The hour+ drive from SF was absolutely worth it! Thanks gentlemen!

I went to buy my first car in the U.S. and I had just come from one of the worst possible experiences at the next door car dealer. The previous guy seller was super pushy, not very professional using the same cheesy lines over and over again and try to convince us that he was giving us the 'best deal'.  Walking into Capitol FIAT was like walking into paradise.  I was greeted by Ralph who was friendly, kind and professional. He did not hint once that he wanted us to just buy the car, rather he wanted us to be sure that the car was what I wanted and the best fit for me. He focused on showing me the car in all its potential, took me for a wonderful test drive and was very attentive that I got all the information I needed to make an educated choice. Ralph then handed me over to Jeff to take care of the actual sale. Jeff is the perfect "pater familiae": he talked me through the details of the sale, explained all its aspects and even got me a good discount on the retail price. He was gentle and funny throughout the long process and was always willing to discuss what I did not understand or fully agree with. Again, he was never aggressive on trying to get me to buy the car or convincing me that I was getting the 'best deal'.  Jeff and Ralph were a great team and a real exception in the car sales business, I wish everyone would buy a car with them!  Last, but not least, I met the financial team to discuss the loan! (it's still my first car, I can't afford all of it!) Both Steven and Trent helped me with the paperwork and to get the best possible deal for my loan!  Overall I could not have wished for a better experience for my first car purchase.  I really wanted to buy the 500 and everyone at Capitol FIAT made sure that I had a great time doing it.

I fell in love with the Fiat 500 four years ago when I first moved to Paris.  Coming from California, a land where many large, gas-guzzling SUVs still domineer the freeways, such a cute and vibrant car was different and exciting to me.  After three of the most spectacular years of my life passed living abroad, I returned home in 2011 to discover that while my love affair with Paris had been put on hold, my story with the eye-catching Fiat 500 could continue on.  While in Paris, the metro got me from Left Bank to Right Bank, but back in California, the Fiat 500 had just been introduced to the market, and was therefore, available to get me from South Bay Area to North Bay and beyond!  Kristin Kaiser, at Capitol FIAT, was the person to help me make the transition to do so.  She was a pleasure to deal with, very patient (I can be a difficult person to please), passionate about the car she was selling, personable, etc.  The day I first arrived on the lot she immediately greeted me and my family, listened to my initial desires concerning the car, did not hesitate to pace the lot back and forth numerous times with me, as well as checked other dealer database inventory determined to find the "perfect Fiat 500" for me.  She helped me rent a Fiat 500 for a day in order to really get a feel of what ownership would be like (absolutely charming by the way!), and inevitably, helped me choose my most brilliant new car!!

Erik Seivers at Capitol Fiat is amazing. I would say that he is, without a doubt, the most considerate and helpful car sales person I've encountered in a long time. He was  understanding and very, very patient.  He spent a lot of time getting me information about the Fiat 500C and even gave me a "driving lesson" in a manual (it had been 20 years since I drove a stick).

I ended up not buying a Fiat because of my height (I'm 6'5") and I wasn't sure that I would be comfortable on long drives.  It's too bad, because it's such a cool car.  I would buy a car from Erik any day, too.

I spent the day today at Capitol Fiat.  I can think of much more fun things to do with a day, but,  I guess,  if you need a car,  you've gotta suck it up.  I have  to say that our sales woman,  Susana Torres, is one of the sweetest,  most pleasant (and very beautiful)  women I've ever met.  For real.  I looked her up a couple days before coming and told us what we were looking for (a reliable used car for my son),  and she brought together a selection for us to see when we came in.  Nice!  She was on time and pleasant and seemed very sincere.  Quite a rarity in car sales (in my experience... I know... Sounds like a stereotype).  BUT. How about  sweet,  beautiful,  low pressure saleswoman? Yeah.  You wannt to go see Susana. Trust
me.  The sales manager,  William Marta, was a bit of a tougher negotitor.  But he was fair and when the mechanic we brought the car to for inspection found a few things wrong with it,  he refunded the amount of the repair so we could get it fixed without paying more.  Steven,  the finance guy,  was adorable.  So sweet and funny!  But the best news?  My son's first car.... A 2004 Subaru Outback wagon,  LL Bean edition for a couple grand off list.  What a sweet ride and a great deal.  Long day... But one my son will never forget.  The best part?  That car was npt exactly what he wanted... It was 5 times better.  And as a mom,  I know he'll be safe.  As for my son,  he's digging the burl dash,  awesome sound system,  power everything... Leather,  double moon roofs... He never for a moment thought he'd end up with anything more than a beater.  Surprise!  I think it's nicer than my car!  Anyway... THANK YOU,  Capitol Fiat!  You made my only child (and his mom)  a very,  very happy college student!

Let's start with 'I hate car shopping.'  I wanted a new car, but I've never been fond of the process.  I spent a couple months researching a bunch of makes and models.  I overused several friends for going with me on a LOT of test drives.  I had numerous horrible experiences with salesmen, BUT...... light at the end of the tunnel.  

Every experience I had with Capitol FIAT was great.  Everyone there was helpful, courteous, patient, and knowledgeable.  I dealt with Willy Franco; he's great too. - I highly recommend him.  I now am a very happy owner of a fabulous new FIAT 500 Sport.

Great experience buying from this dealership. They really car about customer perception. I had the pleasure of working with Lorene. My first time there was all it took for me to buy. It was a very smooth experience.

I went there looked around. A sales person approached me. As we looked around I was told about the differences between the 500's. I went for a test drive where I was suggested a route to take. The route she suggested was good. I didn't really know where to drive anyway.

After the test drive I told her I wanted a Pop model ( base model ) and here is where things can get bad quick. A sales person could easily ruin this by aggressively trying to push a higher trim level, or more options. It's very irritating to know what you want and have a pushy sales person brow beat you with their pitch. I said what I wanted they had it and that was it. I like that.

When we talked about money things weren't as great. But they weren't bad either! Do your research. Look at the KBB fair purchase price, and the trade in price of your vehicle if applicable. They'll take your print out and it'll disappear( bring extras! ). They'll try to sell you maintenance package you probably shouldn't buy. They're a business, this is how they make money, can't hold that against them. Just do your research and be sharp and you'll be fine.

I service my own car but plan to buy accessories and OEM parts from them in the future and am hoping that the next trip will be as pleasant as the first.

I rarely leave a 5 star review, in fact this may be my first. This place deserved it. I have purchased 4 cars in my life and every time it has been nothing but a hassle with promises and lies. I didn't even buy a car from him my girlfriend did, yes that is how professional he is. Did not even bother us unlike every other car salesman. Even aloud us to go home for a few hours to decide what we really wanted to do. She purchased a Fiat 500 and they took car of her and even filled her tank up twice. I can't speak yet on how the car drives or it reliability but I can always update my review. Thank you again Erik for everything, only if every car salesman was like this.

I absolutely hate the car buying process.  I know my limits and what I can and can't do and often car dealerships say "are you sure you can't do A B or C"? You all know the routine.  Capitol FIAT is absolutely NOT that type of dealership.  Kristen, Guermillo, Trent and the gentleman who was working the numbers last night were all incredible.  I said what would work for me and instead of pushing me to do more then I could they looked at options to fit what I said I could do.  Theses people don't know me other than me coming into their dealership but you would NEVER know that.  They immediately treated me like I was an old friend. Capitol Fiat is lucky to have such an amazing crew!

I bought my very first, new car today.  Despite the fact that I was having a minor heart attack about spending money, Jose and the others at Capitol Fiat made it much less painful.  We were greeted immediately by Jose, who took us on a test drive.  Not once did he pressure me or over-sell me on anything.  He was straight-forward and there were no weird car sales games.  Of course, I've never bought a new car before, but I've heard some pretty bad stories of buying cars from dealerships.  I'm fortunate enough to say that I have no bad stories to tell.  In fact, I think everyone went out of their way to give me a fair deal, fair trade-in and more than fair effort to get the car ready before we drove it off the lot.  I can honestly say that nobody made me feel uncomfortable throughout the process.  Steven helped with the final paperwork, and again, it went quickly, smoothly and I actually had a good time.  Who has a good time doing paperwork?  Well, apparently Steven does.  If you're trying to pick between dealerships in the Bay Area, I can't recommend Capitol Fiat enough.  It was worth the drive from San Francisco.  Thanks y'all!

Simply a great experience at this dealership. Bought our daughter a new green Sport to drive back to Chicago and camp along the way. (early graduation present)  We got a good price on our trade in,  we did not have time to sell it ourselves, so it all worked out. We had been looking around for several months for a car for her and had been to this studio several times. Love the Sport! Kept going back to test drive and no one ever pushed any sale on us, not in the least. Very respectful people at this place! The car sells itself, if it fits your needs, it's an awesome design, plenty of room inside.
We worked with Benjamin and Steve in finance and enjoyed the haggling with them.
Not too many aftermarket sales pitches, but that is their job to try. We bought a couple of extras, Did not have to, but thought they were decent add ons. So, keep up good work guys. We hope you will be the best dealership in the nation, just keep the pressure off your customers and you will be. Word gets a round! I would highly reccomend your studio and we are looking forward to the Alfa Romeros you will be getting in. Let us know when they arrive. Also, Benjamin filled up my daughter's car with gas twice, and that was cool. It's the little things that matter, details and customer service that goes beyond the other dealerships, and believe me there are some old school dealerships, namely American car makers, who could take a lesson from Fiat and the European model. I just hope our new car  lasts and is a quality build, then we will be more than happy, we will be satisfied return customers.
Don't hesitate to go in and test drive one, it's alot of car for the money, no Mini Cooper necessary!

What a great team, Jose Tyler Trent....! ! !   I shopped for my Fiat from Costa Mesa to Los Angeles to Glendale and finally bought at Capital Fiat.  Live in both northern and southern CA...The team at Capitol really want you to be happy with your Fiat and really want your business.  They were very easy to deal with, in fact all the negotiations were thru emails and a phone call.  I had to drive an hour and half to pick my 500c Lounge up, they had everything ready for me... the car and paperwork.  What an easy process... And, if you want selection you will find it here. Like I said I shopped several locations in CA and I had very specific requirements for color and features.... Jose and Tyler made sure every request of mine was fulfilled. They even took photos of the exterior and interior and emailed them to me  to assure me the car was exactly as I wanted so I would not be disappointed driving those 90 mins.  Of course they showed me additional accessories and the finance guy Trent showed me all available additional warranties but nothing was high pressure, it was all done to say "Hey, this is what we have available if you want..."  And, I have received phone calls and emails since asking me if I like my car.... and the answer is LOVE MY NEW FIAT, and I will be going back next week to get my chrome gas cap and chrome wheels.... Give these guys your time and you will be amazed....

We are not really planning to buy something...We were so happy stopping by at this Dealership...Aside from the best sales people being here, They have amazing FIAT car inventory! You gonna have hard time choosing your vehicle, coz there's a lot to choose from... Good thing we got the best salesman, RALPH... He's awesome! He helped us a lot... I feel I should share that I, like most, thoroughly dislike the car buying process. (Especially as my credit is not stellar) I really don't like shopping for ANYTHING other than SHOES and I was so relieved when I realized just how easy Erik was making the whole thing for me. He is not pushy, he's super friendly, honest, and Child friendly as I had my three year old with me she was running around and being three and he was not in the least bit bothered by it. Basically Erik made it really easy and really comfortable to be there. In the end, he helped me trade in my 2002 Audi, which btw gave me way more than I EVER expected to get, and got me into a super cute 2012 Fiat 500c  that I am totally in love with!!! (This will not be the last car I buy from Erik)

It's no surprise these guys have five stars!!!

Look nowhere else if you're hunting for a Fiat 500/ Abarth. Capitol Fiat (Ben, Jose, Tyler, and Steve) was hands down the easiest dealer we've ever had the pleasure to work with... and the hubby and I have been through our share of cars over the past few years. After ~5 hours of test driving/ chilling at the dealership, I drove my 2012 Fiat Abarth home with a huge grin on my face.

1:30 PM - we had just test-driven a black-on-red Abarth and was lamenting the fact that it was missing some options we wanted, but it was the only one they had on hand. And as fate would have it, in rolled this white beauty, just 5 miles into its infancy, equipped with everything we hoped for! We got comfy in our seats (with water/ Chewy bars provided by Jose) and prepared to battle hard for a good price for Mr. White (Right?).

Turns out, negotiations were beyond easy - Jose and his manager Tyler both provided something we value but find rare in dealerships - openness and honesty. They made it clear that they treat any offer seriously, and especially because we had walked in instead of called, they wanted to ensure they got our business. We agreed on a price maybe 1.5 hours after we sat down and got a decent deal to boot - not bad for a rare car that rolled into the lot with a waitlist and a markup!

Steve was the finance manager who took care of us for the latter half of the day (contract signing/ finalizing on warranty/ protection packages). Steve is an awesome guy with a booming voice and good sense of humor; he basically made the whole signing process a breeze. I didn't feel too pressured into opting in for the warranty packages - he simply laid out all the options and prices and let us pick/ choose/ reject. Be sure to mention if you're a AAA/ Costco member, you get offered major discounts! At the end of the paperwork process, Steve blasted David Guetta and danced from his office to the manager's box, where Jose was waiting to hand us our long-awaited keys!

I almost forgot - we took a bathroom break in the middle of the paperwork process, and came out to find Steve, Jose, and Tyler all standing outside crowded around my Abarth's rear end. They were double checking the car after the detail and found that the plastic that protected the rear badge had somehow been baked into the metal - non-removable. The hubby and I also did a once over of the car and found a one-inch strip of missing paint on the front bumper. They immediately promised (in writing) that they would have the service department order and install a new badge and get the paint fixed, and threw in another tank of gas + another detail when we bring the Abarth back for the job. I already got a call from Capitol Fiat today notifying me the badge will be in next week. Major points for their attention to detail and prompt service!

To sum up - if you're interested in a Fiat, GO TO CAPITOL FIAT! Other reviewers will say they drove from way out of the bay area to buy their Fiat at the Capitol dealership, and we 100% understand why. By the way, the Abarth is super fun and hubby and I are already in love with it. What an experience!

I recently purchased my Fiat 500C from Capitol Fiat in San Jose. I was looking elsewhere in the Bay area, closer to where i live, but didn't feel great about my customer service experiences. I then had the help of AAA who works with selected dealers to help buyers purchase a car for the best possible price ( I should have worked with them from the start). Capitol Fiat was part of their program. At Capitol I had assistance from the team there, particularly Tyler, Benjamin and Trent. They were all friendly, easy going, not pushy at all, highly professional and knowledgable.
I love my Fiat so much! I will go to them next time and every time i purchase or lease a new car.

Today I left the dealership a super saticified owner of a 2012 Fiat 500 Lounge Cab.  From the moment I arrived there werent over zelious salespeople. Kristine waited for me and came over and introduced herself.  She really listened to my needs and began this amazing journey into Fiat world.  I learned everything about the makes, models, colors, engineering, and dealership history.  She was well trained and confident in the product.  Then I went on to test drive 2 different models!  Eventually that landed me in negotiations with the sales team (forgot your names) and even that was seamless. Soon my needs were met and onto Finance.  Steven - he was sharp, witty, and quarky.  But, he knew finance and didnt press any products onto me.  I agreed the GAP insurance was important but the others werent.  So he informed but let it my decision alone.  So the short of this story is, I am in love with my new FIAT.  Thank you to everyone that took part in making my dream come true.  You are the best!!

I spent 2 months researching the Fiat and am so happy I did! I live in Sacramento and checked out the car at the Sacramento dealership a few times. I wasn't feeling 100% comfortable with their customer service. I reached out to the San Jose dealership after realizing I'd get some USAA discounts there. The service via email and phone was great. Jason and Jeff were responsive and helpful.  And very patient, as I took my time before committing to the purchase.
Once I decided I was serious and ready to buy a car I wanted to make sure I would get the best deal that was right for me.
Jeff Hower went above and beyond helping me get that deal. Travis and Steven helped with financing and when I told them my bottom line, they met me all the way.

I'm very happy I made the drive to San Jose to buy my car. When I got there, Jeff greeted me with the beautiful white Sport set aside just for me. He was kind, and straight forward. His communication was clear and friendly. He answered all my questions through the whole process.

My experience the day I bought the car was great. Everyone was cool, friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable.

I LOVE MY FIAT!!!!! I didn't even think twice about looking at a different car. The men at Capitol Fiat gave me more than I even thought I could get. They wanted my business, and they knew how to get it.
And it wasn't fake. They weren't annoying or phony.

The car is fantastic, with a lot of style and functionality. And it's affordable!

I really dislike buying new cars - but have been very pleasantly surprised with my experience in buying a new Fiat.  The team at Capitol Fiat has been great to work with, particularly Kristin and Tyler.  They spent a lot of time answering questions and did not give me the whole - "I have to check with my manager business" - to get the car we wanted at a very fair price.  They sell lots of Fiats at this dealership and have a large inventory, which helped us see lots of flavors of the car in person and zeroed in on one that we liked.  We hope your experience is as good as ours.

I applied on-line to check out the Fiat, who would of known that I would have my new car at home today! Willy, our sales person was just AMAZING! He called me when I sent an on line inquiry about the POP FIAT. I was not sure and didn't think I would purchase the car, but he listened to my emails, request and was not one of those sales people that push you to buy; push you to take a car that you don't want. Willy really made sure we got what we truly wanted. The moment he called me, I was shocked to even hear him say that I been approved instead of waisting my time and with all the talk other sales people give you. It was a fast and easy and NOT even a hassle or overwhelming experience!

I would definitely come back for a second car and would recommend friends and Family to visit Willy and Trent, who are just great. Trent will also take the extra mile to get you approved no matter what! I think this dealership is more than 5 Star's deserve all 10 stars! I LOVE MY FIAT SPORT MODEL, you see came home with something I really truly wanted!

I always dread going car shopping because of the pushy, arrogant sale people, but I did not encounter this type of abrasive behavior with Erik at Capitol Fiat. Stopped by today and was greeted by Wendell Escolano, who was genuinely friendly and helpful from the moment I said hi. Didn't push too hard, didn't try any sleazy salesman tricks... which as a former sleazy salesman and current psychologist, I appreciate on a few levels.

Polite, warm, efficient, professional. I'm not sure that the 500 is right for me (I'm a plus-sized fella) but I'd definitely buy a car from him.

Four not five stars because someone lost the keys to the one I wanted to drive so I had to spin another one around the block... but a five-star experience with their staff, at least.

I just got my 09 Jetta the other day, and I could not be more happy with my shopping experience! I was a bit cranky that day because my Dad and I went to other dealerships only to look at expensive cars in the rain. The whole time we were being lured into buying a new car I wasn't interested in and both of us was loosing patience fast.  But then I remembered that I went to Capitol Fiat once and I like the atmosphere there. The salesman I spoke to previously wasn't there, but Benjamin was kind enough to help us. And thank god he was there, instead of dragging us around the lot he brought up cars for us on the computer that I wanted and was within my price range! And he also brought me two of the cars I was interested, I was very happy, and so was my Dad. And what I liked most about my experience was that not a single time did Benjamin show me cars that were way over my price range and neither did he pressure me to buy that day. I liked going at my own pace. When I finally decided to buy the next day Benjamin actually came in on his off day to help us! I'm still grateful for that. Steven in the finance dept was so fun to work with! Not only was he professional but I was entertained the whole time haha. I think my Dad got a kick out of him too. The way Steven explained things for us was so clear that it was impossible to misunderstand (but somehow we managed to do just that and he was incredibly patient with us!) The general sale manager William was also so very nice, the entire time he was checking to see if we were okay or if we had any questions. I could not believe I could walk out of a dealership feeling so satisfied about buying a car. My previous buying experience with another dealership doesn't even compare. I always thought dealerships were feeding grounds for money hungry vultures, but now I know that dealerships aren't bad at all :] And I'm in love with my car, I'm so glad I came to this dealership! So thanks again Benjamin and Steven, I can honestly say that you two were big factors on me buying that car from Capitol Fiat!!

Wow - so this is only the second or third time I've ever bought a car at a dealership, and it was BY FAR the best.

I did some online research on the car I wanted, and looked at all the Fiat dealers in the bay area. Capital had the biggest selection (over 200 Fiats!).

I called them, and spoke with Willy Franco and told him exactly what I was looking for (kind of a peculier combination). He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Within 10 minutes, he had called me back to tell me they had the car on the lot. YAY!  One of only two in the whole state, and they had it!

We did a few calls back and forth (very quickly) and he gave me a good price (sort of like over-the-phone price negotiation but without having to sit around in the dealer's office). He said if we came down, they might be able to knock some more off. It was important for us to get a decent price before we made the long drive from SF to San Jose.

We set up a time to meet up the next morning, and Willy was just as great in person as he was over the phone. We spent a little more time negotiating the price. After we agreed on a price, we had lunch while they did the paperwork. When we came back, all we had to do was sign some things, and we were off. The whole thing took only a couple of hours, not including our lunch.

I highly recommend Capital Fiat, and Willy Franco in particular. I had no idea that buying a new car could be so painless.

AND I LOVE MY NEW FIAT!

Car buying can be a pretty stressful experience, but I an honestly say that when I bought my Fiat, it was about as good as can be.  I'd contacted Jeff, the internet sales manager, with my interest in a specific car on their lot and a target price, and things went relatively smoothly from there.  The negotiating was relatively hassle free; there was some back and forth, as expected, but it never got contentious, which I appreciate and was different from my other car dealer experiences.  Jeff treated me very straightforwardly and with respect and I always felt quite comfortable during the experience.   At no point was I subjected to your stereotypical slick sale pitches, which I'm always wary of.  After I bought my new car, Jeff continued to follow up with me on several issues and answer any questions that I had.  Overall, I really glad I bought a Fiat and even happier that I bought it at Capitol Fiat.

I have never been to FIAT before Monday 28,2012 and let me tell you it was quite the experience. With no intention that I'd be leaving with a new car, I had a lot of fun from the minute I got there until I left the lot. My friend and I were approached very quickly when we arrived and were able to test drive a car right away. I was extremely impressed with the customer service of FIAT. Willy Franco was the salesperson that assisted us. As a person who knows nothing about cars at all, other than it moves and needs gas and oil, he explained the car very well and was very professional. And as for my finance manager Steven Vose, he too was VERY patient and professional. It was great working with people who are genuinely nice and you could feel comfortable around. They were awesome for putting up with the shenanigans that I threw their way and I am very lucky that they helped me that day! Honestly I don't ever show up at dealerships randomly but I did used to have a biased opinion that they feed on innocent souls until I've been here and now I can safely say I like the dealership if it's Capitol FIAT!! :)

I recently bought my Fiat 500 here at Capitol Fiat San Jose. This is the second time I purchased a car from a Del Grande Dealer. By far I had a great streamline experience when I purchased the Fiat. I am very satisfied with the dealership and specifically with JOSE PINA. He helped me get the deal I needed and was Hassle free. The entire process took less than 2 hours. The team overall was friendly, helpful, and quick.

The dealership has a great amount of inventory and lots of colors to choose from.
You don't get the buyer's remorse because overall a Fiat is cheap to own and DGDG will help get you the best deal out of all other FIAT DEALERSHIPS in the BAY AREA.

THEY ARE VERY COMPETITIVE!!!!!
I shopped at Fremont but CAPITOL FIAT had the better deal and inventory.

Jose was my salesperson and let me tell you, this guy is awesome!!! He has a GREAT POSITIVE ATTITUDE and is EXTREMELY HELPFUL. He makes it all about you, the costumer. ANY questions or concerns that you have about the Fiat, what it's like, what finance or lease options are available, he's your guy. And if he doesn't have the answer, he will go out of his way to find it. He makes you feel important and comfortable about whatever situation you bring in. He's also persistent but not in that PUSHY sales guy kind of way. He's a young guy, but don't let that steer you away from checking out FIAT cars with him, he is confident and informative about Fiat cars and said that he used to be a mechanic and has worked on Fiat cars in the past. Years of having to go to the dealers has really gotten me jaded. i try to sneak in and avoid the sales guys while i take care of myself looking at cars. bad mistake here, Wendell is a great sales guy. think of him as the knowledgeable friend who did his research and he's there to help provide you with info on the car. But unlike your friend he can set up a test drive.

I have been in the market for a small car for a few months now and made it my mission to find one this weekend. I started my search at the Mini Cooper dealership on Stevens Creek and was treated with poor customer service, after that I stopped at the Toyota dealership and looked at the new Prius C where the salesmen could barely explain why hybrids are a good choice, when visiting the Smart Cars I found that they are severely unsafe... Alas, I arrived at the Fiat of Capitol and even though they are running the business out of a big top circus tent with no A/C every one seemed to be in great moods. I was given the most attention and the best all-around service from Wendel Escolano. While looking at the different models, he knew about each one and what the differences were (the guys @ toyota couldn't even do that.) Although I would of preferred to be driving away in the Gucci Fiat, I ended up getting the Fiat that worked out best for me & I really trusted that the guys here were willing to do anything to make sure I was satisfied and secure with my choice. If you decide you want a good car, to zip around in, easily park, commute & not spend a
fortune on gas with- The Fiat is it. Make sure to see Wendel out on in the lot and Trent in finance. They'll make sure you leave confident & in style. What more can you ask for?

Just had a very pleasant car buying experience here. My girlfriend has had an eye on the new Fiat 500 for some months and wanted to take a close look.  We went to Capital Fiat because it was close to Cupertino.  It turned out to be good choice as the staff were all very friendly.  Of course they were friendly, that alone is a pretty low bar! So besides that there seemed to be lots of staff to help and there was no hurrying or rushing through buying details.  Wendell was polite and took the time to lead us through the acquaintance phase.  As pushy as it got was the classic "What can we do to get you in this car today".  The buyer told him and soon she was driving home in un molto bella cinquecento rossa. She looks so cute in it I can barely stand it.  A good time was has by all which is what buying a car should be like, no?

Ever since my wife hear that the Fiat 500 was going to be massed produced in USA, she was really excited. It has been her dream car for many years living in Europe. So when we found out they were selling them locally in San Jose we had to check it out.

My wife and I had a great experience with buying our car at Capital Fiat. Most people can't really say that because most of the time when you buy a car you regret it eventually or you walk out of there with a sour taste in your mouth.

The guy Ben Girard that sold us the car was awesome. He was very experience with the cars (being a former mechanic). He knew so many details about the new Fiats it was almost freaky. My wife and I are really indecisive  people, but he was really patient with us being that there are so many choice as far as type, interior, exterior you can really have a unique car. Even after the sale was about to close and we did the paperwork Ben made sure the details department did their job right (he even sent it back once to clean up a missed spot)

The financial guy that we worked with Trent Lukens, was hilarious. He made the buying experience really pleasant and when it came down to details he was able to answer any questions and was able to work out a really good deal along with our trade-in.

Overall, it is a great car and is definitely a head turner. When my wife actually lets me borrow her car I get all kinds of compliments on it. So no regrets at all. I am glad we made this decision! Thanks to all the Capital Fiat Staff

Gave us two beautiful 500's to use for an event. the Manual Cabrio was an awesome eye catcher.

The place looked like an Apple store. everything was modern, clean and White inside. very Urban feeling.

I think I even overheard one of their sales staff helping out a customer speaking I want to guess French? that's pretty cool/ rare nowadays!

Let me park my car in a safe spot as we used their vehicles for a local show.

Their staff went above and beyond making it a pleasure to deal with them, as some dealers could care less the DGDG autogroup really does care for it's customers and colleagues.

My girlfriend just recently bought a new Fiat 500 from here and we couldn't have been happier with the experience.  How many times in your life can you say that about a car dealership?

This was by far the best experience I have ever had dealing with a Salesman.  No pressure, no hassle.  Our salesperson, Wendell, was nothing but kind throughout the whole process and made us feel very comfortable with our purchase.  He never tried to force a sale on us and was always very professional.

In fact, you can say that about just any person that works here.  Everyone greets you with a smile and everyone was genuinely nice.

If anyone in the future asks me about buying a car I'm definitely sending them over to Capitol Fiat.

My experience with this dealership was extremely positive right from the beginning when I first spoke with Jason.  He was so friendly, helpful and he just bent over backward to answer my questions.  When I finally went into the dealership I was blown away by how helpful everyone was - right from receiving phone calls to welcome me when I was driving up.  William, Trenton in Financing and Jeff Howery are all such professionals.  When I go back to DGDG to purchase my next vehicle I will definitely purchase it from this group even if it isn't a Fiat.  I wouldn't want to work with anyone else at this point.  These guys have earned my loyalty.

I walked into Capital FIAT with my girlfriend last weekend. We were shopping for a FIAT for her and the experience couldn't have been more amazing. Zeke was our salesman and William also helped. My girlfriend was SOLD after the test drive and these guys did whatever they could to make sure we were comfortable and got exactly what we were looking for. She got an amazing deal!!!

These salesmen didn't give off a "fake" all about money attitude. They really wanted to make sure my girlfriend was comfortable in her purchase and had no regrets!

Last week, I made my very first car purchase! This was the biggest decision I have EVER made and to be quite honest I had no idea where to even start! All I knew, was I am on a budget, and i wanted a FIAT! Zeke, and William both did a great job helping me find exactly what I was looking for, in a price that I could afford. I walked into Capitol Fiat hoping none of the annoying sales rep came out to pressure me into buying a car. I was not sure I could afford it. But indeed one came out to introduce himself Wendell. My friend and I were SO impressed with him. The guy was totally cool! was not pushy answer all of my and my girlfriends three million questions. Gave us our space to talk over. Never put pressured on me. After spending an hour deciding which car I wanted he was as pleasant as ever. Once that was done he introduce us to the finance manager Trent. I thought great this guy is going to be the one who is going to break my heart. On the contrary he was very good and explained my options and worked out a great deal. I have told my friends about the great experience we had. My friend and I were treated with great courtesy and respect from both Wendell and Trent. Capitol Fiat exceeded my expectations. All the staff  member are pleasant. However, I vote Wendell salesman of the year and Trent Fiance manager of the year.

If your in the market for a car Capitol Fiat is the dealer to go to.

Capitol FIAT is absolutely phenomenal in all aspects!

I bought my little wonder, the Cabrio FIAT Lounge a little under a month ago at Capitol FIAT and have been blow away by the outstanding treatment and service I have received from the dealership and all employees of DGDG.

The FIAT specialists have a genuine interest in meeting your needs and ensuring you are excited and satisfied with the purchase you have made/are making.  It was the first car purchasing experience where I didn't feel the need to haggle to ensure I wasn't being ripped off or schmoozed into something I wasn't really sure of or interested in. The FIAT specialists, took the time to go over the particulars and at no point rushed me to make any sort of decision. They showed a solid understanding of the functionality aspects of the car as well as a desire to really ensure my needs and concerns were addressed and met.

To top it all off, they follow up to ensure you're satisfied with your purchase. The concern of Capitol FIAT is clearly with the costumer and the costumer's experience, which is a rarity in this day and age. When you are at Capitol FIAT, you feel as though you are with friends that you can trust. It's a great feeling to have, especially when purchasing a car. I'm so glad I found this dealership and plan to purchase all future cars from them because it was such a amazing experience.  I would hands down recommend buying your FIAT from them. Fiat of Capitol should stand for Fantastic Individuals And Trustworthy.  From the moment we met with Wendell and Charles, it was car buying bliss. No BS, No low balling on my trade in, No stupid back and worth to make a deal - Just simple great. We basically told them what we were looking for, what we wanted and what's going to work in our price range.  After a few test drive to  decide between the Sport or Convertible, I knew what I wanted. Even when I needed a bit more time to think about my decision, Wendell just said ok and gave me my space. Not once did I felt pressured or awkward if I decide to walk away. I can not say enough about these guys. But don't take my word for it.. I would highly highly suggest anyone who is considering getting a Fiat or letting your inner J-Lo come out to see these guys. You will not be disappointmented in the car or service..

I LOVE my new Fiat!  

This was my first new car buying experience and it rocked!  Charles told me he would make me a ridiculous deal and he did!!!  I am not sure how they are going to make any money but I am over the moon.  I was never pressured to buy any upgrades although I did end up asking for a wheel upgrade and that was done easily.

Each person I dealt with from the sales team of Jose and Wendell to the finance guy were all genuine and not pushy.

If you are ready for a car that is fun to drive, a gas saver and easy to afford go see the team at Capitol Fiat.

I was so excited to see that a Fiat dealer had opened in SJ. Went in for a test drive on Sunday 3/4 @ 5pm and ended up driving off the lot 4.5hrs later with a brand new 2012 Fiat Pop!!!  If you're in the market for a new car, stop by Capitol Fiat. The guys there are amazing! I had all my questions answered and never once felt pressured to buy. I want to say a special thank you to Wendell and Charles for all your hard work to get me a great deal and make buying my 1st brand new car a great experience!!! I drove all the way to the 'other" Fiat dealer just to look at them a few months back. Then I found out that DGDG opened one on Capitol Expwy. So I loaded the BF in the car and we went. After hours of looking and thinking about what I wanted, I was sold. Charles was amazing, his knowledge about the Fiat's was amazing. Its hard to believe that with Fiat only being in the U.S for such a short period of time that Charles knew this much about them.
Charles and I worked together to get me the car I wanted and he did that. After all that went through he sent me over to Trent in financing. Trent was upbeat, nice and knew his financing. Explained everything to me and didn't push me on any extras or anything.
This is my second vehicle with the DGDG and I am totally a HAPPY CAR BUYER!!

Thanks again Capitol Fiat I am in love with my FIAT!!!
