Reviews on Witt Lincoln

Steve O. | 2015-04-20

My wife and I just purchased a used car from Witt. Can I say that the genuine hospitality from the entire staff was exceptional. 2nd to none! We stopped by on a whim and were so impressed with the service, we returned the next day to purchase the vehicle. The process was quick, efficient and friendly. Laila, the associate who assisted us, was outstanding. Answering all of our questions and insuring that we were comfortable through the entire process.

Congratulations on a Great Team!! & Thank You!

A couple of week ago I had my MKZ service at Witt.  I had a couple of concern and address them thru E-Mail and they responded and I was satisfied.  A couple of days later I was contact by Ford Motor asking if I was happy with the service I got and said that I was and they ask if I got the free car wash.  I said no and informed them that Witt Lincoln explain to me why and I happy with that.  Now the three stars.  A day later after talking to Ford Motor I went out to my car a pop open the hood and I notice that there was a lot of sand around the air filter compartment.  I open the compartment and I noticed that the filter was completely black and there was sand and leaves at the bottom of compartment.  I took my shop vac suck out all of the sand around and in the compartment and went a bought a new air filter.  later that night I went thru form that you get telling you what pass and what needs attention.  The air filter said that it passed.  I would like to bring this to the owner attention.  I may start taking my car to another place it seem like the service department is starting to slip.

Purchased 2015 MKX
the Lincoln cars are great
Witt dealership is great to work with and do not pressure you when needing to make a final decision
Think of them like family, have had the same service advisor (Libia)  for over 12 years
The same salesman (Ernie)  for over 10 years
They treat you with respect and are very professional but also friendly and make you feel at home with them
The finance staff are also great to work with and are fast in getting you in and out
If you need a new or used car go to Witt Lincoln and they will work with you and get you what you need.

Email received from Mr. Witt, Hi Fernando,

I am really sorry that we were not able to sell you a car.  The trade was the big issue.  Every evaluator/appraiser has a different opinion and impression of every unique vehicle.  They, being a Ford store, had the opinion that your vehicle was worth more than I thought it was worth.

From time to time, I pay extra for a special Lincoln, in order to sell a new car, and get a nice unit for our pre-owned inventory.  I assume, that is what they did on your Flex.

Last week, when Gov. Brown issued mandatory 25% water savings, we turned off most of our irrigation system on the grass.  In addition, in order to get to the 25% savings, we are only washing cars when absolutely necessary.  We doing complete vacuums and windows inside and out... doing all we can without using water.

I'd be happy to help in any way we can.  I'm not interested in making any enemies.

Hope you have a great weekend.  I look forward to seeing you.  Thanks for your referral.  I do appreciate that.

I was on a hunt for the perfect camping/beach mini van. One that I could call home away from home, one I could sleep in if need be or haul all my crap around in. After looking far and wide for one and getting burned on a 94 Nissan Quest, (oh man was I stupid, but that's another review), I settled on finding a reliable newer used mini van, and it HAD to be a Toyota or a Honda.

As a member of Consumer Reports.org , I perused their buying service TruCar. It offered no-hassle pricing and several mini vans that fit my needs and my budget. One was the 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited.
I arrived at Witt Lincoln with a good personal shield - wary of car salesman and the whole car buying process. Everyone was super friendly, maybe a little too friendly...but again, I was very wary and my guard was up. I had made an appointment via email to see the car, and Eddie showed me the car, we went for a test ride and I really liked the car. I never felt pressured to buy, but I said I was very interested and I would need a mechanic to come look at it. Eddie was very accomodating.

I set up an appt with a mechanic to come look at the car the next day, while to looked at another car at another dealership. After my mechanic gave me the details of the inspection, I decided to buy the car. I also purchased a 4 year warranty, since it was a almost 10 year old car. Hopefully that was worth it. The whole process went very  smoothly. I did not end up financing with them, I used my own financing. Eddie also gave me a delicious bottle of wine, and a complimentary first service in 5 months.
I love my "new" car and we will have many adventures!

To begin this review you need to know I had a bucket list of 5 dealerships I planned to check-out before making my decision as to what make and model car I wanted. Witt Lincoln dealership was closest to me so I checked them off my research list. (haha)
I was initially greeted by Todd Witt, to whom I stress I was not a buyer! Then I explained my car buying strategy. He laughed, said no problem and he wished more buyers were as organized. Then he asked what I was interested in seeing.
When I told him I had no idea as I was unfamiliar with their product line; he asked me to describe what my mind's eye pictured me driving. What a very perceptive and smart man! Thank you Todd! He immediately pointed out a vehicle and asked what I thought of it. Of course it was very, very close to what I'd envisioned. He explained he'd have to have someone else take me on the test drive.
I asked if I could work with a woman, and that's when I met Laila Shaliza.
I never did visit another dealership! I didn't buy the first model either. I bought the second car I drove. So much for bucket lists.
    WITT LINCOLN, y'all ROCK IT!!!

Ermiece S. | 2015-03-10

This dealership was such a pleasure to do business with. It was no hassle and completely on my time schedule.  Bob was charismatic without being pushy or condescending and let me take my time deciding if I wanted the car or not. I got a great deal and they offered a military discount.

Jeff S. | 2015-02-22

I leased a 2015 Lincoln MKC for my wife.  She is thrilled with the vehicle and I was extremely pleased with the entire sales team involved in the transaction.  Patrick Witt & team were professional and respected my time.  They gained my trust very early in the transaction, and that is when I knew I would be comfortable doing business with Witt.

Ken S. | 2015-02-18

2015 MKZ Hybrid.  Awesome service.  From our first contact with Ernie and the sales process through Tony, our finance guy, to personally meeting Todd Witt, the owner, a very cool guy and class act, we had a great experience!  This is the way professional people who know their business deal with customers.  Prior to our arrival, we exchanged a couple of emails and phone calls.  We arrived at our appointed time, and completed the entire process in less than 2 hours, including our test drive!  This dealership, and these very fine gentlemen, are simply the best.  I will never buy or lease another car without going to Witt Lincoln first.  PS:  Before going to Witt, I had a super deal on a Prius.  The MKZ ended up costing only 26 cents more per day net over the term than the Prius, and the MKZ is TWICE the car!  This is a deal I would do every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Bob A. | 2015-02-13

After many normal service calls I have always had excellent service. The service writers are doing their normal duties but it seems they are going the extra step to make sure your experience was pleasurable. I would recommend this service department to any Lincoln (or Ford) customer.

Arya H. | 2015-02-06

Patrick was great. This was a straight forward, easy experience for my girlfriend and I.

jack s. | 2015-01-26

This is my third car that I'm buying from Witt Lincoln and on all three cars I delt with Barry Alves. There aren't enough words that I can say that that can explain my expirence at Witt Lincoln with Barry. He is beyond professional and will go above and beyond to make the customer happy and get the job done. He's a major asset to Witt Lincoln and it's because of him I keep coming back and I tell all my friends and family to go to Witt Lincoln and see Barry. It was also a pleasure meeting Anthony in the finance department he's awesome at what he does. Thanks Witt Lincoln for being my dealer and a special thanks to Barry for always taking care of me and my family.

C P. | 2015-01-22

After shopping around, looking at different cars to decide what I wanted, I must say that Witt Lincoln is absolutely a great place to buy a car.  "V" was very helpful, answered all my questions and was patient as I looked from one car to the next asking him to explain the differences.  No pressure here, just great support.  I would recommend them to anyone.

Ira N. | 2015-01-19

From my initial phone call to the dealership to the handover of the keys to my new MKZ Hybrid (all of 4 days) I was impressed by everyone's courtesy & efficiency & willingness to accomodate my requests. My salesman, Vi Veronesi, even drove his own MKZ to my home to verify that it would fit into my garage. Very impressive. My concern that since Witt is the only San Diego Lincoln dealership, they may take their business for granted. However, I discovered that the competitive market economy is alive & well at Witt Lincoln, & that they do hustle for the business.
I nicknamed my new car "Brevity" since it reflects the soul of Wit(t).

Daniel A. | 2015-01-19

Barry was nice and never pushed me to get a car, he let me go at my own pace. Decided not to get a car know since my finances are not in the best of condition, but as soon as my business gets better i ll come back to them. Their is nothing like driving a lincoln. Get one

Matty B. | 2015-01-17

WOW! I am a young business owner and have had the privilege to own and work with some reputable brands and dealerships in my past. Let me emphatically state that Mercedes, Volvo, Cadillac, etc have NOTHING on Witt and the new Lincolns. Mr. Mcconaughey is dead on about Lincoln, these cars are amazingly luxurious and priced so well, its not even a contest! Witt Lincoln -specifically lease manager Barry- make this experience so amazing, they now rank 1st overall in all my auto purchase experience history. I was in, out, and below anticipated payment, with a deal within 55 min! So much courtesy, respect and 0 haggling and difficulty. They said they are after young professionals to make "life long" customers, well believe me when I say I will be sticking with Lincoln, and Witt for many years to come. Thanks guys, you are the best...

I purchased my car at Witt in 2008. I've always taken it to Witt for service because I know they're reliable, nice and honest.

Bob T. | 2015-01-07

I just purchased a 2012 Lincoln MKZ. I was extremely impressed with every aspect of the purchasing process. Our salesman, Bob, was outstanding in every aspect of my interaction with him. In addition the finance person and the sales manager were just as accommodating and a pleasure to work with. The vehicle is fantastic, I could not be more pleased. I most highly recommend this dealership if you want a cordial, professional and pleasurable buying experience.

Craig G. | 2014-12-31

Ernie is fantastic. This was one of the easiest buying experiences we have ever had. Ernie was knowledgeable, curteous and on point throughout the entire process. He shared all the right info at the right time and really made us know that he was interested in us finding the best car for us... It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to being a client for a long time! Thank you and I look forward to seeing you very, very soon.

All my best,

Jonathan B. | 2014-12-14

I was shopping for a new car and considered a few competing models.  The experience at Witt Lincoln was head and shoulders above the other brand dealerships with a friendly welcome and experience throughout and extremely knowledgeable staff.

Julee O. | 2014-12-12

We purchased a Lincoln MKX, let me rephrase...a Beautiful Lincoln MKX. Barry Alves was by far the best salesperson we have ever come across. His many years with the company helped us become knowledgeable about Lincoln and specifically the MKX. We had the pleasure of meeting Ed, making us feel like family. The fact that we were assigned our very own personal Service Rep is comforting for those times we have the car serviced. Cathy explained everything to us as far as financing the vehicle and went above and beyond to find us the very best APR available! The fact that I was wearing a Packers jersey may have helped, but I'm certain anybody that visits Witt Lincoln will experience the same customer service we did! Thanks to everyone at Witt for a simple, non-stressful, fun car buying experience. We look forward to a long relationship with all of you!

Very low pressure situation. I asked to be contacted when I was ready to test drive, and Barry was very helpful setting that up. After the test drive he only contacted me when I asked and after evaluating all the vehicles we were looking at, decided on a Lincoln MKZ. We contacted Barry and he had the car ready in 48 hours.

We were out of the dealership 2 hours after arriving with our new car.

Harry M. | 2014-12-02

We purchased our certified 2012 Lincoln MKZ 11/25/2014, and I can wholeheartedly say I love the car and the service we received at Witt Lincoln -- in particular, from sales rep Barry Alves. We were not your "normal" customers, in that I am disabled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). My partner explained all to Barry prior to me coming down later in the day to see the car, and he could not have been more accommodating. Barry treated me with compassion and respect, and also allowed me to move at a pace with which I was comfortable. Not only that, this was *the* best used-car buying experience I've ever had in 30+ years buying cars! Barry said Witt wants to treat certified Lincoln buyers with the same excellent service a new Lincoln buyer would expect, and he *more* than exceeded our expectations! Due to my disability, it's imperative that things go smoothly with no bumps -- Barry Alves was a true conductor, coordinating our trade-in, paperwork, car gassing, etc. and to make me as comfortable as possible. Art has told me *a couple* times since we bought the car that Witt Lincoln will be our home and Barry Alves our sales rep. Best car-buying experience ever!

Danny G. | 2014-11-14

I came in to the service department because I had a low tire warning. The tire ended up having a nail in it. I had a really important meeting that I could not reschedule I was in and out if the service department with in 20 min. Made it to my meeting on time and even had extra time to grab a bite to eat. Fast service.

Patricia L. | 2014-11-14

The service my car was excellent and the attention I received from Libya was friendly.
Another thing, the coffee at the waiting room is delicious.

Charles C. | 2014-11-13

Finally got my mkz hybrid. Amazing vehicle. The employees at witt are awesome. Barry was very accommodating and made the process very smooth. Our was also a nice touch took have Todd Witt call me directly to discuss vehicle availability. Thanks everyone at Witt!

J N. | 2014-11-11

Trish is great in the svc dept, very helpful and knowledgable.  Vehicle was done on time w/ no issues.

Dan R. | 2014-11-10

I have been in many dealerships, many of those high end dealerships, and this place is the best. They take cues from all great businesses such as Nordstrom, Tiffanys, or even competitors like BMW. Take care of your client or prospective client as if they were your only one.  Barry the sales manager I met with knew I was under the gun with time and he made the transaction go smoothly and as fast as possible.  His service was beyond the norm. I look forward to being a lifetime Witt Lincoln customer weather for myself or my children.

What a great team of professionals! Top notch service, top notch vehicles too!  I love my new MKC!!!! My husband even loves it!  Hard to let go of my Aviator but loving the new MKC helps a lot!  Witt has been my service provider "of choice" for over 11 years and we will continue that relationship!  My service advisor is like one of my family!!! Thank you all Witt Lincoln Family!!!!

Jim A. | 2014-10-29

Best car buying experience I've ever had! I've been to many dealerships in the past, and none of them had the friendly relaxed atmosphere that Witt Lincoln has. It was if I had been friends with everyone there for years. All of the other reviews express my feelings much better than I can put into words.
Can't wait to take my first class  to teach me about all the features of my new MKZ!

Kelly F. | 2014-10-29

Fantastic car buying experience. I've purchased two automobiles from them and it was extremely easy both times. Barry Alves was so helpful, forthright and responsive - this last transaction was the best purchasing experience I've ever had. He is a relationship builder, not a car salesman. MY husband LOVES his hybrid MKZ. The icing on the cake came when Mr. Witt himself called us to thank us for our business. Such a classy establishment! We will definitely be back.

Cleveland B. | 2014-10-24

The best car dealership I have been too in my lifetime ....family owned and operated and you can certainly tell!!!! Who has an actual valet just to drop your car off at the service department? They do? Who has an Enterprise rent a car in the dealership in case they can't give you a loaner? They do!!! Who has a body shop at the dealership which is unheard of? They do!!!! I go the extra mile just to see them for service or anything else great company with great associates all the way around!!!!

John S. | 2014-10-21

This is a locally owned Dealership and it is a breath of fresh air in this era of large corporate dealers.  The transaction was as easy as I have ever had and the people were honest and straight forward.  You will find the owner on the floor and he takes the time to thank you for your business.  I can't say enough about my experience at Witt.

Before you buy your next car, give these a guys a shot!

Carla V. | 2014-10-16

I have been a customer for about 15 years and it is a great experience every time.
The service department is very good about making your appointment run smoothly and you are always informed if there are delays.   I highly recommend them for all your vehicle needs!  Thank you to the Service Department for all you do!

Irene D. | 2014-10-14

The personnel at Witt Lincoln are fabulous!  I recently took my 2012 MKZ in for its 30,000 mile service check and again, was extremely happy with the continued great, friendly service that I've had ever since my first visit to Witt in February 2012.

David K. | 2014-10-10

There are very few companies that provide the consistently high level of customer service that Witt Lincoln does. Their "concierge" model of service is on par with some of the most notable global brands such as Apple. From the handshake and welcome from the attendant at the service drive to the commitment of the service team, to the personal interest demonstrated by the owners walking by, Witt has revived the core principles of customer service that personalize - not simply quantify the customer. Principles that for the most part throughout much of the marketplace today, have been forgotten. Well done! Very well done!!

Sunkissed R. | 2014-10-08

I always take my car to Witt Lincoln for my regular service.  I get prompt service, and they keep me up to date on what my car needs or doesn't need.  I don't even own a Lincoln, YET, and I still get the best service and customer assistance possible.
Great place all around!

Patti H. | 2014-10-02

2015 MKX Hybrid.  We are Z plan, so we know there is not much money made when we purchase...but the service was exceptional! The staff completely exceeded our expectations (and I am highly critical of customer service).  I can't imagine ever going anywhere else!!!

Linda J. | 2014-09-03

I just bought a new 2015 Lincoln MKC  from Witt Lincoln. First of all, I love, love, love the car. It is so high-tech, beautiful, comfortable, and peppy that words can't describe what a wonderful car this is.  My experience with everyone at Witt was excellent. They showed me all the features during a test drive, quickly completed the order process, kept in touch with us during the manufacturing process, accommodated us by delivering the car early because we were leaving town, and explained everything again when we picked up the car. Witt is a family owned business and it really shows. Originally from Wisconsin, they let their Midwestern values shine through. They even have a concierge service that will pick up and deliver your car when it needs service, for free! The whole experience was great and problem-free and I couldn't recommend Witt Lincoln more highly.

Padraig L. | 2014-09-02

Excellent customer service. I both a used Lincoln MKX. it was a wonderful buiying experience. They list there prices and don't haggle which makes for a much more pleasant buying experience. Thier prices are competitive, you will pay a little more for a certified car, but the peace of mind is worth it. The staff don't work on comissions so they are more interested in helping than selling. They really try top build a long term relationship with the customer. I would definetley buy from them again. They have a long term cusotmer with me.

Sandra And Julian W. | 2014-08-27

I bought my Lincoln Navigator through another Dealership(first mistake) and lord and behold after paying cash for the truck and numerous trips to the other dealership of problems here and there after less than three days of driving, I took it to Luke at Witt Lincoln in Mission Valley and wow! a replacement engine was needed, of course I was frustrated, felt deceived by the other dealership, but Luke took care of the issue with the extended warranty folks, got my truck running at its peak, even though I had to come up with a chunk of change even with the extended warranty, I trusted Luke's advise on the motor vs getting a used one.   I guess the moral of the story is, even if another dealership rip you off, there is still ONE(WITT) that is honest and value customer relationships, I don't see me or my family taking our vehicle any where else for repairs or maintenance, Thanks WITT! You definitely have my vote as the best overall dealership in town

Donna H. | 2014-08-22

Service provided on our 2013 Lincoln Navigator, was perfect from start to finish AGAIN! Our service expert Trish Beaudoin is always outa this world in going up and above to make visits quick, smooth, enjoyable, and worthwhile. Overtime, its been like building a lifelong connection with the WITT team. And no matter how long the time is between visits, the welcome back to the WITT family is always warm & welcoming and pint on! THANKS WITT, you're the BEST!!!

Daniel P. | 2014-08-17

BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! This is the 10th+ vehicle I have purchased and never before have I been treated so well or so fairly. Pat was fantastic, personable, and gave us an incredible deal from the very beginning (several thousand off MSRP and 0% financing). Negotiations lasted all of 5 minutes and we were in and out in no time. The entire staff was very friendly and the inventory of vehicles was immaculate. We love our new vehicle and would recommend Witt Lincoln to anyone to buy their very own luxury car!

Kevin D. | 2014-08-01

OK, this really is just the strangest feeling I've ever had in the Service Department @ a Car Dealership.  The people working here are so genuinely nice and the Service is so good I'm having to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming!  I feel like I'm in the Lounge of a 5 star Hotel. My Service Advisor "Trish" is so attentive She came to update me several times just to let me know where my car is.  She is a great asset to Witt........very very kind Woman.  I have to find out if I can bring my Fords in here too...or maybe just buy another Lincoln!

Joan T. | 2014-07-24

Just had my Mariner hybrid in for a recall. As usual, Witt scheduled a convenient appointment for me, car was done when promised, washed and ready to go. bought this vehicle from Witt, now has 108,000 miles on it and still love the car! Would never take it anywhere else and Libia, my service advisor, is the best.

Linda O. | 2014-07-14

I can't believe I'm writing another top-notch review for Witt! This past weekend, I had to stop in to get a little plastic piece that popped out of the lower left side of my 2013 MKX's grill. The piece pops out so the innards can be reached, but the grill looked pretty bad with that one hole in it. I had no idea where the original piece was lost...but it was gone. I was prepared to pay an exorbitant price for the piece...knowing that it wasn't really part of the bumper to bumper warranty.

So, I saw Tony in the Collision and Repair area of Witt, and explained the issue. He took a look, called the parts folks there at Witt, walked over, got it, came back, popped it in, smiled, and said "Take Care!."

No cost. No argument. Only smiles, goodwill, pleasant conversation, and incredibly great service.  True, why a high-end car like the MKX even has a little piece of plastic on the grill, is a mystery to me...but the main story is that Witt stood by its product, continued to serve me with grace and generosity, and made me a happy, happy Lincoln Owner!

Good Job, Witt!

Jennifer G. | 2014-07-11

It truly was the best experience we have ever had buying a car. After months of dealing with the stereotypical car sales approach, meeting Bob, was a breath of fresh air. Everyone at Witt was so low key and friendly is was a amazing. We will be back anytime we need a new car and will be telling our friends, family and customers about you all. Not to mention the car be bought( 2012 MKX) was exactly what we were looking for and couldn't be more happy with our purchase.
We own our own business and customer service is the key to our success, it hard to find anymore. At Witt Lincoln they have it mastered. Keep up the good work guys!!

Cecil B. | 2014-06-28

We are into our second car from Witt. Barry and Tony were excellent in answering all our questions relating to the vehicle and the contract. Also, quick and willing to revise "things" to our complete satisfaction. The car is loaded with the lataest and greatest tech and fun to drive. Any time we've been to Witt Lincoln, service department included, the experience had been top of the line. Thanks, Witt!

Dan H. | 2014-06-20

Witt Lincoln is by far the best experience I have ever had in buying or servicing a car.  Everyone treats me fantastically, and my 2012 MKZ Hybrid still looks and feels brand new.  I drive a lot of miles, 35000 in 18 months.  When I am ready for a newer model, Witt will be the place I purchase my newer MKZ from.

Cheryl S. | 2014-06-09

I came to Witt Lincoln a while ago to purchase a vehicle I saw on their website. It was a Mercedes and was in amazing shape and the price was very reasonable! I ended up not purchasing the vehicle but I'm still kicking myself because it was a very good deal. Apparently it's now been sold, so I hope the new buyer is enjoying that car! :)

Sean L. | 2014-05-19

I was very pleased with my trip to Witt Lincoln.  Eric Brewer, knowing that I live in GA was very helpful to my wife and I explaining all the features of a MKZ and the options available.  Eric's assistance and knowledge gives me extra confidence in purchasing a Lincoln.  If it made sense for me to purchase from Witt Lincoln, I would, but to drive a new car across country isn't on my radar.  Thank you Eric and Witt for a pleasant experience.  I look forward to making my purchase of a Lincoln (In Georgia).

Ray R. | 2014-05-18

I just bought a 2014 Lincoln MKZ 3.7 from Barry Alves at Witt Lincoln. He was easy to talk to and super knowledgeable about the vehicles. He listened to me, accurately gauged what car would be best for me and patiently guided me through the process without being pushy or inpatient. Tony in finance and everyone else we met there were all very nice. We worked on a deal to trade my high maintenance gas guzzling 2008 Mercedes CLS550 that was out of warranty (I think my MB was into the service guys at MB because she liked going there a couple of times per year).

I got a brand new 300 HP MKZ loaded with tech goodies for a great deal. My new MKZ is covered for everything except tires for two years and everything except tires and oil changes for 4 years after that. Its an amazing warranty program. I am finally free from the MB service department scheme and totally happy with this new modern tricked out luxury vehicle. If you like the look of this car, you have to sit inside it yourself to appreciate all the technology in it. Everyone I have showed it to is blown away. It drives very well too just be careful not to go too fast when going over dips in the road. I already scraped the bottom of my front bumper so its officially broken in.

I've bought many, many cars in my day... have dealt with many, many dealerships.  I must say I have never such fantastic treatment, top to bottom.  From sales to service, the people at Witt are all consummate professionals who are utterly focused on customer service.  I'd like to single out Barry in sales, Luke in service and Todd Witt.  I would recommend them to anyone.  My Mom is going to buy a new car within a couple of years.  She might not have bought a Lincoln except for my experience at Witt.  Now, that's what she's going to buy.  Best dealership ever.

I have to say. For the Owner to contact me and get to the bottom of the matter and assure all my needs are attended to show's just what kind of Place this is. I am editing my review from 1 star to 5 stars.
I was provided with a Loner car which was very kind and useful while my car was being worked on, my car was also washed and cleaned as well as a Complimentary Inspection! Thank You :)

I have changed my mind, seeing that I may be looking into a newer vehicle in the coming year, I will give Witt a Shot!

Thank you for servicing my needs and working with me.

Kind Regards,

San Diego Native

The process to purchase and trade-in our vehicle was smooth.  We felt very well taken care of. I appreciated the best offers being available to us without negotiations.  I thought the trade-in offer on our vehicle was fair and the pricing on the new car was very good.

This is my second sales experience with Witt Lincoln, and I can't recommend them highly enough.  This is customer service and sales service rarely found today.

I love the personal sales touch [Barry Alves has been a terrific sales person, someone from the Witt family always comes by to say hello and chat, this time Todd, often Ed], everyone works together to make things happen [Tony LaFaro, finance], going the extra mile to get the exact vehicle to meet my needs.

Until 2012, I had been a die-hard Infiniti/Nissan driver for 40 years.  My 2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid was my first American car in decades.  When it was stolen,  I thought about an Infiniti but came back for a 2014 Lincoln because my experiences here have been so positive.  I actually look forward to service visits because the staff is so attentive and on top of things [Luke Morgan and others on the team].  Love the free car washes and spending time on the patio working while the car is being serviced.  Cookies and fresh coffee in the customer lounge are a wonderful touch.

Just took my new MKZ Hybrid on a two day road trip and it is the perfect car for someone on the road as much as me.  And its features and handling match my Infiniti G37 easily...not as much acceleration speed, but the MPG more than makes up for that.  Love the exterior styling, interior comfort, the way it hugs the road and the push button configuration.

My family owns 2 Lincoln town cars from Witt Lincoln and we are very satisfied with our vehicle purchases. Our trusted consultant for both purchases was Laila and we couldn't be more happy with her service.  She is honest, humble (hard to find in a car sales person), articulate and very knowledgeable of the products she is selling.  Negotiations are never comfortable; HOWEVER, when dealing with Laila, she genuinely has your best interest at heart and will go the extra mile for her customers.  Best of all, once the transaction is done, she doesn't forget about you...her follow up skills are amazing.  As a consumer, it is reassuring to have a specific person to "go to" with vehicle inquiries, and if she doesn't have the answer, she will point you in the right direction until you have the information you need.
The dealership itself offers a very warm environment. The staff is engaging, everyone offers warm greetings upon entrance.  They have a great selection of cars, are in a conveniently central location of SD and their service department offers excellent customer service. The fresh cookies are nice touch too :)

Alice G. | 2014-01-01

Their service department is top notch! I have owned many cars and I have to say I have never had better service than Witt Lincoln! Even from Mercedes! They don't even come close to the level of customer service. Thanks Witt!!!

Naree D. | 2013-12-20

I bought a Groupon and I picked this place because it's close to my house. I called for an appointment and when I got there Luke said it took about 2 hrs or more to get it done. I start to complain because it's too long. But he said he has to check the car and also wash it. I said I didn't want to wash but he said its free and just a exterior wash. Make it nice they always do that. We'll its free so why not, right? So it took 2hrs and 15mins. The car was very clean and they also clean inside just like a $50 car wash. They did such a god job. So I really appreciated it and I would like to recommend this place. Love it

I had the best experience shopping for a car! Their customer service is outstanding! The environment at Lincoln is so welcoming and comforting, it makes you feel like you want to go back  just to visit. Not to mention they have freshly baked cookies and delicious coffee. I will continue to come here every time I need a new car! Lila and the Witt family made me feel at home while shopping. No hassle, just honesty! They still call me just to ask how everything is okay with the car and it's been months since I bought it.

We took our car for an oil change, and it was such a great deal, that it made me a bit suspicious. After the oil change, we've been told that there is an oil leak and we should come back for service and so we did. I was sure we going to end up with a huge bill, but I was happy to hear it was only a tank plug. Since they didn't have the part, the ordered it, and when we came back to get it fixed, we didn't get charge at all!! Never got such a service!! Libia, and the rest of the staff was friendly and professional. Oh - and I should mentions - we got the car washed twice! We are definitely coming back. Thank you!

The service at Witt is unbeatable!   I've been bringing in all of my cars/trucks for years and they have always come through.  Recently made arrangements with Scott Witt to pickup my car for service.  They came to my office, provided a loaner and returned my car later that day.  Saved me a ton of time and hassle and my car was fully serviced and cleaned as usual.

Thanks Scott and the employees at Witt!

M A. | 2013-11-12

I went to Witt to look at a car on Friday night. I was met by Patrick Witt, who showed me the vehicle I wanted and took me on a test drive. He answered all my questions and did not try to up sell me or pressure me into buying something right away. He was extremely courteous and helpful. I told him that I was going out of town on Saturday morning and would return to finish the paperwork. He understood that I  needed the process to go quickly so that it didn't conflict with my plans. Everyone at the dealership was extremely accommodating. When I arrived on Saturday morning, the paperwork was ready to be signed. Tony, the finance manager helped me. He made the process painless and quick. Before I left the lot, Patrick showed me all the gadgets on my new car. He didn't make me feel hurried but took his time answering all my questions. Knowing I was in a rush, he encouraged me to take note of any questions and to make an appointment to come back to have them answered later. They even let me keep the car I drove to the lot in over the weekend so that I could leave as soon as the transaction was finished, saving me a trip back home that would delay my vacation. Witt Lincoln exceeded expectations and the excellent customer service is a reason I will return and recommend them to my friends.

Marc R. | 2013-10-25

The sales, contract and service department personnel were all sincere in their efforts to make me and my wife feel satisfied. I have serviced my car at this dealership for three years and just bought a new MKZ Hybrid from them. I would highly recommend them as an honest and intent-on-customer-satisfaction company.

Ron M. | 2013-10-16

I always check Yelp prior to doing business with a Company , just simply to hear what others are thinking.  However when it comes to the folks in the Service Dept. At Witt Lincoln, honestly they could not be a better group of people to turn your vehicle over too. Really I am serious they really care, and understand your budget. Plus they treat your car as if it was theirs. I cannot imagine allowing anyone else to service, or repair my car.
The feeling I have when I turn my keys over to them is as if they are family, it may sound funny but it is true. They are so nice and allow me to have the confidence to know everything will be handled right and in a timely manner.
They are more than fair about the price and very careful  with your vehicle. To fine a mechanic and a shop where you are treated right and your vehicle is safe means a lot.

If all of the above is not enough to convince you that this is the best place to have your Lincoln taken care of, then let me add this the manager Scott Witt has a really cool dog that he Rescued, to me anyone who takes the time to Rescue one of our four legged friends deserves my business.

Thanks for taking care of my Navigator I really appreciate it.

I have had my Celica (yes) serviced here for years. Hands down the best experience I have had with someone else working on my car, ever---and I am a former auto-worker from Detroit, in San Diego for 20 years. I know cars and I know good service. This is it. Honest evaluations, jobs well done by competent, bright, courteous people. Work is always done in a timely fashion. The customer waiting area is almost as good as a Starbucks and the coffee is hot, free. If my little Celica ever bites the dust, and I hope it doesn't, I will be at Witt looking at their cars, planning to buy one.

Mike M. | 2013-10-13

I was in the market for a new MKZ and in the process of doing my homework.  I had visited a couple of dealers in Orange County.  I went to the OC auto show and checked out competitors cars.  After lots of internet research I came upon this fantastic deal at Witt. A year old MKZ with about 7,000 miles on it.

The car had ever feature that I wanted, fully loaded and is a hybrid.  The price was substantially less than new.  I began talking to one of the sales folks via email.  She assured me that the car was still there.  She told me that it was her day off and she would refer me to an employee who was at work. I was impressed that Sabrina would answer her emails when not at work, a sign of a very good employee, especially since they are salaried.

I drove down to Witt, about an hour and 45 minute drive.  I was greeted by one of the sales reps, Bob.  Very nice guy, very efficient and friendly.  I drove the MKZ that I had selected along with a brand new one.  The cars were both great so I went with the used car.  Got a great deal, great trade in value for my old MKZ.  Watched some football with the owner of the dealership.

Was without a doubt the most pleasant auto purchase I have made in 30 years of buying cars.  I would recommend this dealer in a heartbeat.  Fresh cookies and football was a nice touch!

Brian M. | 2013-10-11

I took my commuter Saturn (yes... Saturn) in for a flat repair because it was literally right across the street from work.  The work was done in a very timely matter and the price was comparable to any tire shop in San Diego which is refreshing to see if you've ever had work done at a dealership.
Luke, my service advisor, recommended service that needed to be done on my vehicle, but wasn't pushy, which is a nice trait to have when you're a Service Advisor that you can trust.  I will definitely be back for service on my car.

Oh yea... and I got a free car wash, which was awesome after the latest rain storm!

Linda C. | 2013-10-03

I bought my MKS here last year and I love it. The best car ever!! I love my Lincoln but Witt is the only place to have it maintained and serviced. I have tried the ford dealer in temecula, Rancho, and they were ok just ok. I also tried Alverez Lincoln in riverside. DO NOT GO THERE. Alverez in the worst. They are always trying to charge money even though I have a warranty and prepaid maintenance. The last time I was there 2 weeks ago there quoted me $600 before I even stepped out of my car. I took my car to Witt in San Diego. I live in Moreno Valley. Witt's staff is always pleasant and helpful. There is never a problem taking care of anything I need. They offer a loaner if needed if needed or a ride to my daughter's place. Libia and Trish are the BEST. So friendly and thorough. They listen to what I tell them, they keep me up to date on the status of my car and they make me feel like I own a luxury car. Every time I go to Witt they return my car clean, shiny and in great shape. Well worth the drive from Moreno Valley even for just an oil change. They specialize in customer service!!!! Not just fixing cars. Love them, only place place for my baby for now on.

This review is for the Service Department.  We've been customers for more than 10 years, always have our LS serviced at Witt.  We've never had a negative experience, in fact, just the opposite.  As a military spouse I truly appreciate having a service department I can trust to deal with car problems when my service member is away. Trish has been an outstanding service advisor and has always treated us with care and respect.  She takes the time to explain the service or repair and offer available options.  She consistently goes the extra mile to make sure we are taken care of.  Thanks, Trish!

We just purchased our 5th car from Witt Lincoln. This time we chose the Lincoln MKX (SUV). Not only are we impressed with the wonderful quality of the vehicle but we are also consistently impressed with the level of customer service that we receive. It is rare to find this combination of customer service and personal attention at a car dealership. The Witt family is always around making sure we are happy. I was surprised when the owner Ed Witt called us to make sure we were in love with our new Lincoln. What's not to love? Great products, great prices and great service. Thank you.

Moose S. | 2013-09-01

Witt Lincoln is by far the most professional dealership I have ever been to. From the beginning to the end Laila was a pleasure to work with. She is very detailed, honest and straight forward. She even took care of my kids by offering them popcorn and cookies.

The customer lounge was very nice and decorative. The management was very friendly and I spoke to the owner Ed Witt.

I will def be back in the future.

Thanks Laila and the Witt Family.

free wifi, coffee, cookies and water bottles in a comfy lounge . Why get a oil change anywhere else?

Collision Center Manager - Tony Breunig help me get my truck fixed making it look great again. And made suggestions for my suspenion, Thanks again for the work Tony. Have a good week. Glenn

Kelsey N. | 2013-08-14

Everyone was polite, helpful and not pushy. It was unlike more dealerships in that we felt as though everyone was there to help us make a decision, not to try to force us into one.

Rob K. | 2013-08-08

I usually don't write a review from a place I don't buy something from, but this time I felt compelled to write a review regarding my 3rd (and final) attempt to purchase a vehicle from this dealership in the past 10 years.  To be fair, the first time it wasn't owned by Witt, but I had a very similar experience all 3 times so now I am writing about it.

I came into the dealership looking for a new MKZ Hybrid.  My sales colsulant, Laila was about the only good part of my experience.  She was very friendly, allowed me to take the car for a long enough test drive that I actually got a good feel for the vehicle, not just a teaser around the block drive.  I enjoyed working with her immensely until we got to the negotiation part of the deal.  I'm going to give her credit, she has no authority to set prices or make decisions, that's the manager's job, and unfortunately, the manager completely low-balled my trade, making the deal next to impossible to do.  The total, with the negative trade in allowance was $750 a month.  Needless to say, I walked out, knowing I could do much better, especially considering they were advertising the car for $369 a month (w/o tax) in all the local papers.

I understand that negative equity does affect your monthly car payment, but when it effectively DOUBLES the prices of the car, something smells fishy.  Did I suddenly buy an $80,000 car instead of a $40,000 car?  Nope!  Plus, how can you give someone $24,000 for a car when all the other dealers I took it to including CarMax offered me $27,000?  Needless to say, after my bad experience, I shopped around in Orange County and LA, and I can say that it's VERY SMART for you to go online and shop dealers up north because they will give you a MUCH better price then San Diego.  I found that both Lincoln dealers up north were willing to give me 27k for my trade, and my payment for the MKZ Hybrid would be $607 per month INCLUDING tax WITH the negative equity and SAME down payment, much better then the $750 they tried to sign me up for at Witt.

Do yourself the favor, shop around, and drive north if you have to, you'll be glad you did... And don't trade your car in, sell it private party or to CarMax, you'll get a much better price for it.

Best place to service my car !! Thank u Witt Lincoln !! I

Linda C. | 2013-07-22

Fast, friendly service...and I appreciate the complimentary car washes! :)

I've been coming here for years and have never had a negative experience. Also, their prices are always fair and they send you specials in the mail that never include hidden fees. I typically get an oil change for under $30. This past Saturday, I got complete break service for $179+ tax, I called a couple of places just to check prices out and they were by far the best!

purchase experience was excellent

My wife and I love Witt Lincoln.  We always have a cars serviced at Witt Lincoln when we are in San Diego visitng friends and family.  The service writers remember who we are and have helped us get our vehicle back on the road quick and safe.  My wife has a C-Max but she will have it serviced here.  I have a MKX.  I really appreciate the complimentary car wash provided with every service and the comfortable lounge area with leather seating, espresso machine!  Really friendly staff.  The dealership is family owned and Mr. Witt, the owner, always says hello.

Van C H. | 2013-06-23

We live 100 miles from Witt Lincoln and luckily I sent an E-mail request for best Lincoln MKX price and got an E-mail from Todd Witt.  We new exactly what we wanted, had trade in and I called Todd after getting E-mail to let him know I was 100 miles from him, he told me they sell cars all the time in Orange County and if I gave him 5 minutes he could save me money. He was extremely professional and the inventory they have is more than anyone in Orange County, we had been lied to by Cerritos Ford and Lincoln.

When we drove to Witt Lincoln in San Diego we were greeted with smiles, hand shakes and thanked for coming to see them and also give fresh baked cookies and bottled water.

They had the exact car and we checked it out and loved it, no test drive necessary.

Todd handled the trade in perfectly and in 2 hours we did everything, paperwork, trade in, new car training for my wife, bought several parts to help organize back of MKX for my wife and the groceries, they installed the unit.  The MKX had a full tank of fuel and we left many new friends at WITT and we will be going back to have car serviced and see them again. Give them a call and ask for Bob Garbo or Todd Witt and you will thank me, great dealership with lots of inventory, clean well organized and they do not lie or do the TO (Turn Over trick that Cerritos Ford Lincoln did to us). We love the MKX and I love being driven around by my wife of 43 years in her pride and joy.

From the moment I drove on the property I knew I was in for an exceptional experience.  The Service Dept. check-in area was nothing I had ever experienced before.  The counters were beautifully designed in dark wood and spotless.  My Service Consultant Libia Arevalo was pleasant and eager to attend to my problems.  She escorted me to the Customer Lounge which was comfortable and had the all the necessary amenities anyone could ever imagine (a gourmet coffee machine, bottled water, current magazines, flat-screen TV's and a comfortable seating and work-station area).  The service on my Navigator was done in a reasonable amount of time and they bent beyond the norm in problem-solving my particular needs with my new Navigator.  Other dealerships should use Witt as an example of how to run a truly successful, customer-centric business.

G M S. | 2013-06-12

For the Body Shop...............  I had my Nissan Titan repaired here...couldn't be happier!  Tony Bruenig is a stand up guy!  Very professional, and more than willing to do what it takes to put your car back into pre-accident condition...like it never happened.  If there are any insurance issues, Tony will take care of it as best he can, so the job goes smoothly.  Finding a good body shop is stressful in itself, so why not do yourself a favor, and not waste your time anywhere else.  Give Witt Lincoln Body Shop, and Tony a call, you won't be sorry.

Kevin F. | 2013-05-28

Once again I am here reviewing my experience at Witt Lincoln. I have been a loyal customer of the Service Department and Collision Center for several years, they have always done great work on my Fords. This past weekend I decided to trade in my Ford Mustang Convertible for a Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, the experience was fantastic, no shifty salespeople, no high pressure to buy ridiculous, unneeded add ons. Barry sold me my car with assistance from Todd Witt and they were both wonderful, the trade in value that Todd offered was fair and the process was smooth. I then went over the vehicle some more and Scott Witt answered all of my technical questions as this is my first hybrid. Everyone was attentive to me, asking several times if I needed anything and offering to bring we water, etc. I finished up with Tony in Finance and unlike my last two Ford purchases at other dealers, he did not attempt to ram silly add ons down my throat like alarms and carpet protection, etc. I love my new Lincoln and had always said after my previous experiences at Witt that I would buy my next car here. Dissatisfied customers will usually find the time to review a business, I wish more satisfied customers would as well!

Thanks again Team Witt for a job well done!

Kristoffer K. | 2013-04-30

Let's have an update!
After my last Yelping comments, I received a call from Scott Witt.  I was thinking maybe there was a light at the end of the tunnel...maybe someone was going to do the right thing after all...alas no.
Here was the offer I was given:
 $660.00   original estimate
$150.00   amount I have already paid for the "zip tie" holding my window...
- $112.00   credit for the "zip tie" holding my window...
- $   98.07  Owner Advantage discount.

New total with savings!   $599.93

I dont know about you, but I dont see the savings...

It's a sad attempt by Witt Lincoln Mercury to try to make me feel like they are giving a discount...my recommendation stands...
Do not go here....

Nick S. | 2013-04-01

The service is terrible at Witt Lincoln. I've been cheated for my time and money on every experience I've had with them. I regretfully bought 3 oil changes as part of a package. Each time they've said it takes an hour, and all three times it has taken 1.5, 2, and today its been 2.5 hours! For an oil change! I ask questions, they give answers backed by promises, those promises are broken. Every time. The people at the front desk, namely Trish, Libia and Umberto, are not true to their word and I question their professional integrity. Ive always had good relationships with car dealers and service people in the past, but i cannot work with the people at Witt Lincoln service center. My Lincoln Town Car will be traded in ASAP.  I will never own a Lincoln/mercury ever again.

Seung L. | 2013-03-14

I had a good experience with these guys.

I have a 2002 Ford F150 truck and needed new transponder keys programmed.  I called around all the Ford dealers in town and most wanted between $98-115 to do the labor only and anywhere from $25-35 per key extra, and some even wanted $15 each to CUT THE KEY!

Witt Lincoln only wanted to charge $56.  Half the price of the other guys.

I just ordered matching transponder keys from ebay for $9.50 each, and had Lowes cut them (nice guy at the key counter did it for free since they couldn't program it).

I drove up and the service rep at the kiosk helped me right away, I handed them the key, someone came up immediately and put paper and plastic on my truck and I went into the nice waiting room.  I drank their nice tea and watched TV for about 30 min and then came out to see my truck being given a complimentary wash and wipe down.  SWEET!

They drove my car up, my keys were inside and they all work  great and I'm a happy customer.

I think most of the complaints on here are about the quality of the build of Lincolns, which is unfortunate.  But I was happy with the dealer service and pricing.

Elizabeth D. | 2013-03-08

As a loyal Lincoln owner, I have had many encounters with Witt Lincoln and am happy to report that in both sales and service I have had nothing but good experiences.  I enjoy the family atmosphere of the dealership and have always had great customer service - very professional but friendly at the same time.  I currently own an MKX which I love but even when it needed a few tweaks to its system, the dealership was more then accommodating.  I will continue to depend on Witt Lincoln for my future car needs.   On a side note, I am also impressed with how Witt Lincoln is so community oriented - I have often seen them as sponsors to events that help raise money for local public schools which I think is great.

Brucito K. | 2013-02-26

After suffering through some horrible experiences at other dealerships, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Witt Lincoln.  My adviser Barry Alves was an extremely professional very knowledgable person to deal with.  He spent time with me looking at new and used cars sharing the pros and cons of each vehicle.  Together we developed a budget and we settled on an excellent choice that I am very happy with.  This is the type of company that every person should want to buy a car from.

Vivien V. | 2013-01-02

The best experience I had ( so far) in my entire life with a car dealership!! Those people are great ... I got coffee, cookies and water before they even know I was going to purchase a car from them. They treat me with respect and their hassle free philosophy convinced me.
I hope they will always be the same; a nice Family dealership !

I went there yesterday with a sudden and serious problem with a  front passenger window at 1345 or 145 pm. I was told it was Late in the day to maybe come back another day, make an appoint appointment or leave it and take a shuttle home as they didn't have enough technicians and it was a holiday weekend and I had no appointment. I should have just left and almost did as I said I would call All-Star Glass to see if they could fix the problem. As soon I said that, they magically had time for me. The women with the blond hair and a Luke were so Abrupt, Rude, condescending and basically with a poor Attitude I wanted to leave and should have but, I needed a window due to the rain coming and I only have a carport to put it in. I informed Todd Witt of their attitudes who was surprised and said he would take care of it.? What ? I also attempted to inform Scott Witt who really wasn't interested in hearing my input in part I think since they had already spoken to him when I went back in there and he was in there.  Trish was also rude to me and has been before as well. I plan to sell my Lincoln LS 2005 with only 45,000 miles so I don't have to go back to the LINCOLN PLACE AND DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.  IT'S THE 3RD TIME I HAVE BEEN TREATED LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL THERE. I will not go back was charged 112.00 to inform me I need a regulator.  112.00 to diagnose a problem is way too much and they know it.   Ed Witt should be Incredulous that some workers are running his business in the ground and that his son Scott seemed to have cared less and just walked away and did not let me continue to inform him of the staffs poor attitudes and abruptness. So Sorry I did not make an appointment for a sudden window malfunction. I wish I had of left as I would have had 112.00 back in my purse.
I could write more but, it is all so trying as I have read the other Yelps and I should have written before now. If you have a lot of money and don't care about giving it to Witt, then go there. I don't and I now plan to sell a car I love so  don't have to keep going to a place that has a monopoly in town on Lincoln's.  It's for sale as of today.
I may go to the Auto show at the Convention Center just to speak to Ed Witt re all of this. He should be Incredulous over how his clients are treated. What is /was their problem???? Friday afternoon at 145 pm is not late. And actually, I have been told this before in September when I had to bring it in as 2 Coils went bad and I had decreased power and felt unsafe to drive. I was sent home and had to make an appointment to return on a Monday. That meant driving my car back home to OB and then returning with an unstable vehicle. Did they care? NO. It was under Warranty too.  I should have left it there and been able to get a rental at Fords expense due to safety but this was not offered. Buyer.. Beware. My car is for sale... Any takers? I am done with Witt Lincoln and their High Flalutin Attitude.
Witt.. You are only as good as your workers, there are at least 2 other things  I could write about, but I would have to get my notes out and frankly, I am too tired now to do so. Do some Soul searching Witt... i am willing to sell my vehicle, For Sale By Owner, due to your service department so I don't have to go back there. If I had 40-50 grand, I still may want a Lincoln, but I would just get a Ford or Chevy instead. This is how upsetting it was today.  The blond hair woman in the service department was actually Raising her voice to me. My friend, Larry heard her as he was in the car when she accessed the Odometer. I asked her to NOT to raise her voice to me. Really.... Are we not all adults here. She seemed put out that I was there so late and was really Irate to me. Her and Luke were tag teaming me and parroting each others phrases and input as it if was said twice It may make more of an impression to me. OMG.  I told Todd Witt, who "seemed" to be concerned, but, really, nothing was done.         To Mr. Ed Witt.... You may not care about us too much, but I did like a Lincoln. Now I hope to sell it, for sure. It is For sSale By Owner as I can't keep going there to get mistreated. I would rather just drive a Jalopy than get treated like this.  It was so bad, I felt sick to my stomach, ILL.   I felt as if I was slapped in the face.Luke had a mean look on his face too. I just can't understand what their problem was. Especially, since I said I would just go to All-Star Glass, OK, fine, if you don't have time. You would Not really believe how I was treated. I wish it was on video so you could see. You would be surprised or maybe not. I have read Yelp now and I am surprised and dismayed at all of the servi

So I buy a 2012 Chevy Volt. The tires are all low by about 6 PSI, and they (Courtesy Chevrolet) don't have a nitrogen pump on the premises, so I go about looking for dealerships or other folks around that offer the service.

Witt Lincoln was one of those, and the next closest place I could go. So I made an appointment for the next day for the very instant they opened.

I was early.

They were late.

They took my car in at 7:10, and after falling asleep in the lounge for TWO HOURS, I went to check on my car.

"We sold it," the woman said.
"Ah. Well I've been here for two hours now. For air. In the tires."
"Yes, well. We sold it. Two hours ago."

Clearly she didn't see that the expression on my face wasn't one for jokes. I've been up all night and have better things to be doing than to wait two friggin' hours for such a routine procedure.

Come to find out that they decided to give my car a wash. Funny, I didn't ask for that.

All said and done, the damage came to $77 or so, and the car wash was "complimentary".

This is a review for their service department.

I brought in my 1995 Explorer for a recall issue.  This was the closest place to my home, so what the heck.  While I was there I also wanted to find out about repairs to several small things going wrong with the vehicle.  It's 17 years old and there are lots of things going wrong, for example:  the driver's side door handle is unusually loose, the control panel inside the door has sunk inside the door (but still works), the ignition chimer chimes when the keys are not in the ignition, and the seat belt buckle is broken.

I bring my car in for the appointment and go into the little advisor area that is so small you can barely move around in it.  An older woman service advisor greeted me sternly, I gave her my name and told her why I was there.  "Well, where's your car?" she asked abruptly.  I pointed and told her I parked it in the lot.  "Well, why didn't you park it right in front here?  Now we have to go get it."  Well, I didn't park it right in front of you because it's the middle of a DRIVEWAY.  Sorry someone had to walk 30 yards to get to my car.  Later, when I was picking up the car, I went back into that little room and stood at the counter.  That same service advisor came up to me and said, "I just did a printout and I need to get to that printer."  How about saying "Excuse me?" or being nice if you want me to move.  I have no idea what this woman's problem was.  I'm glad I wasn't dealing with her directly during the two hours I was there because I would have asked for someone else to help me.  Luckily, I had Luke who was courteous, professional and polite.

The recall fix took a little longer than I thought but they do have a very comfortable lobby, so I hung out there for a while, took a business call in their little outside patio area and waited patiently.  I was interested in what they would say about my list of "little stuff" I wanted done with the car.

To replace THE BUCKLE of the seatbelt they wanted FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE DOLLARS for parts and labor.  Are you kidding me???  They said the driver's side door handle couldn't be tightened and needed to be replaced at a cost of almost TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS.  I think I will try to find the buckle at the Swap Meet or online for all of $10.00 and try to do this myself.  Anything else I can probably (definitely?) find this for cheaper someplace else.  Never have I seen such outrageous prices at a mechanic/dealership.

One star for Luke.  One star for the nice lobby.

The buying experience was great but there was dishonesty. The first walk around after the carwash I suspected the rear trunk lift had been repainted. I didn't want to deal with it cuz I know my wife who would freak out if she know the car is not pure. She has never driven a used car and telling her what know is not a good idea. I've learned to live with the residue tape marks, the uneven paint fading of aftermarket work from witt bodyshop, and the bubbling out of bad paint job over the year period. The final straw was Irvine Ford service guy telling me that "your car has been in the bodyshop" truth. I brought the car in for water retention in rear trunk liftgate. Serviceman called back to ask if the car had been in accidents cuz he noticed the repaint and the left side bumper and trunklift were not aligned. I call witt to resolve the issue and he went on his bullshit like I'm a child. Well...telling me to waste 2 hours of driving down SD so he could look at it. WTF!!!

After the most frustrating experience trying to find a new/used car (new to me) I thankfully discovered the people at Witt Lincoln. I spent two weeks dealing with scammers and cheats and people who didn't know what they had to sell.

Ernie, Mr. Salesman, on the job for 20+ years, new everything about the vehicle and explained it in detail. We got a great deal even compared to For Sale By Owners. There was a slight damage on a body part that they had ordered BEFORE I even complained. No need to haggle if they give you everything you want before you ask for it! Even better with the free oil change. Awesome experience.

Took it to Tony in the Body Shop to put on the piece they ordered and he not only did that but also fixed the little niggly things I pointed out (I am A-Type). And, he did it with a smile. Great work Tony!! Great work Witt Lincoln!!!

BTW- In my opinion the Lincoln Aviator is greatly undervalued. Why would you pay more for an Explorer, etc?!

Their service department is terrible.  Took my truck in and stood in front of a very inattentive person named Luke who was staring at the screen the whole time.  I finally asked if he knew why I was bringing the truck in, and he said "for an oil change?"  After I got him to look and listen to me, I left the truck and did not receive any information about what was going on.  Next day I go back in the late afternoon, after calling and leaving a message, but no call back.   I walk in, and Luke says, "what was the last name?"   He could not have cared less who I was or what I was doing there.  Totally detached from the situation.   I did ask to speak to the technician who worked on the truck to get some satisfaction.  After I paid the bill, Luke handed me the receipt without a thank you or any verbal acknowledgment.   This humiliating treatment is not acceptable and Witt Lincoln has lost a customer for good.  Very disappointed.

I bought my car at Witt back in April, and I just went in today to get my complimentary first oil change and car wash. I had an appointment at 10am this morning. At about 11:30am, i was getting VERY irritated...everyone knows that it does not take 90 minutes to change oil, especially when you have an appointment.
When they finally called my name, they called to my attention that i had 2 nails in my front tire and that it would be better to purchase a new tire than to simply patch it.
first of all, i dont know why my tires needed to be  inspected during my OIL CHANGE. they are looking for reasons to charge you. however, i do understand that i need to replace the tire; that is not safe.
i find out they had ALREADY TAKEN APART MY TIRE. they did not ask for my permission. they did not verify anything with me. and now, my tire is beyond repair. because they had already messed with my tire without my permission, it was no longer driveable because of the air leakage.
they do not have my tire in stock.
i dont understand how a service center is not well-stocked with tires for the cars that they SELL.
at this point i am at a crunch for time and i need to get going with my day, so they offer to drive me to enterprise to PAY for my own rental for the day, and then they can reimburse me later. i am not 25, so i cant even rent a car.
they give me a service car to use for the day and tell me that it needs to come back to the lot with a full tank. eff that - i am not refilling your gas tank after the awful service you've given me.
i come back at 4pm...4 hours have passed. when i get there, they tell me that my car is still not finished.
ARE MY EARS broken? last time i checked, it takes 3 seconds to screw on a tire. and once more, i told them i was driving down at 4 to pick up my car. no phone call, no warning, no anything. they should have called me to tell me that my car was not ready.
20 minutes later, and they bring me back my car. smudge marks on my floor matt, and my car is unwashed. i wasted my day off for a $200 oil change.
do not pay witt a DIME for a 'name-brand' tire. i could have bought 2 tires for the price of 1 at discount tire and screwed them on myself. also, if you are under the age of 30 and a woman, prepared to be visually raped by every salesman that works there. clearly i already have a car and do not need you to 'sell' me one and then ask me where i am from. they will never get my business again!!!

My husband and I purchased a Lincoln LS several years ago from this dealership.  From the get go we had issues with the car.  About 2 months after owning we take it into the service department because the check engine light was on.  They discovered that we need a coil pack replaced.  We have the work done and over $300 later, it is fixed.  A couple weeks go by and we start having the problem again.  This time we shop around to find a cheaper mechanic to do the work.  This time it was 2 coil packs out this time.  We were only charged $200 this time around.  Come to find out that this model is notorious for this issue and lucky us it is a V8, so we get to go through this process eight times!  or cough up the money all at once.  Because we just purchased the car I took it back to the dealership and had them look it over.  These guys are such liars.  They told me I need the exact same work done that the mechanic, a family friend, had done weeks earlier.  Not only did you sell me a product that you knew I would have to pour a bunch of money into right off the bat, but I gave you the opportunity to make it right by fixing the issue and you lied to my face.  I will never purchase your product again.  I have also been sure to tell everyone I know what cheats and liars you are.

I have been here multiple times to service my Lincoln. I have always been very happy with the service and staff. I love the location cause I can shop or eat while I wait!
I just purchased a newer model of my same car this past week and again, I had great service and enjoyed talking and working with their staff.

Bought an oil change/tire rotation deal through a daily deal site and followed the instructions on the voucher. 1. Print ticket - check, 2. Present ticket - check, 3. - Enjoy - WRONGGGG!!!

I even called in a week before to set up an appointment, but never got a call back. Nonetheless, I decided to head over as I had a day off. As soon as I pull up to the service station and present my ticket the dude says, "no can do. you have to call in. we can't service you until next week." I was pretty pissed because I drove from Carlsbad on my day off only to hear that they can't service me? It was freaking 1030AM on a Thursday and 2-3 cars in the garages! No customer service at all.

Long story short, I made a big deal, slammed some doors and said, "bitch, you better service my GD car!!!!!" jk didn't really say that but I made a scene and ended up getting my car serviced. Took them about 2 hours and was given a complimentary oil change within the next 60 days... 60 days?! Woulda been nice if it were 90 days but whatevas. Never going here again.

I took my car there for an oil change and they told me that I need a new battery, serpentine belt, brake fluid service and over $1,000 worth of parts and service.  I felt my car was just fine, so I removed the battery myself and had it checked at a Pep Boys.  They told me my battery was great and gave me a print out to prove it.  They also looked at my serpentine belt and told me it didn't need to be replaced and I know for a fact that the brake fluid is fine because it was changed less than a year ago.

This service department sucks and should be ashamed of itself for trying to make people believe they need unnecessary parts and service

I bought a new 2004 Navigator from Witt.  The service department wrecked it about a week after I had it.  Dream car with bondo and a door repainted.  Luckily I got the warranty extended past 50,000 miles  as the transmission blew up at 65,000 miles.

While the sales experience at Witt Lincoln Mercury was hands-down one of the best experiences I have ever had while buying a car, this review is about their service department.

I made an appointment to get a routine 15,000 mile service on our Mercury Mariner.  The service amounts to an oil change and tire rotation, so it wasn't a large amount of work... Jiffy Lube could have had us done in a half-hour, but we purchased the prepaid service plan from Ford, so getting the work done at the dealership makes financial sense.

I arrived early for the service appointment, and the only service advisor who was there was kind of rude and seemed like she was put out to have to deal with an actual customer.  She immediately tried to up-sell me a new air filter for $38 without even looking at my current air filter.  She said the air in San Diego is so bad, I would need to change it early and that it didn't matter what the filter looked like or what the owners manual actually said.  OK, that's just wrong, so I declined her offer of a new air filter.   After that they took my car into the shop area and said it would be done in an hour and a half.

Nearly two hours later my wife and I walked back to the dealership, thinking that the car would be done, and sure enough it was in the parking lot inside the maintenance area, so we stopped by the service advisor to pick up our car.  What a disappointment it was when service advisor said they had not even started on work on the car yet and we would have to wait another 20 minutes for it to be done.  30 minutes later we asked again about our car, and the service advisor explained that appointments are only for the service advisor; and NOT for the actual technician who does the work, and that we would have to wait even longer.

At this point we complained to the management of the dealership who seemed genuinely unaware of how poorly their service department is being run.  We even talked to two of the Witt brothers who where Very apologetic, and offered us a free car wash and oil change.  They agreed that they needed to work on setting customer expectations in their service department.

Maybe instead of trying to lower the customer's expectations upon arrival, they should work on improving their customer service skills in the service department.

Summary:  I do not recommend servicing your car here.  It's a shame that their service department is so disappointing because their sales department is one of the best I have ever seen.
