My husband and I both drive cars we bought from Redline European. My husband drives a gorgeous convertible Aston Martin, which he bought in mint condition. It's a dream car that most people never have an opportunity to drive. Travis, the owner of Redline, helped us put that dream car in our garage.

When we had a baby and it came time to buy a safe family car we were interested in a Range Rover Sport. We went to the dealership on Miramar and looked at several models. My husband decided to compare with Redline before we made a purchase and I'm so glad he did. Travis got the exact Range Rover we were looking for and had it styled to our liking. We were approved for financing right away and I drove the car home the very next day. The car is beautiful, in perfect condition and was priced fairly, unlike at the dealership. We could not be happier with the service and products of Redline European.

Short story: I have never dealt with any salesman, especially a car salesman that has taken care of me as well as Travis has. He wasn't just helpful but went out of his way to take care of everything for me. If you're in the market for a used luxury european, this is the place you should go.

Long story: About a 6 weeks ago I went into Redline to check out an AMG they had. Travis and I chatted quickly and then he gave me the keys and told me to take it for a test drive. No pressure, no sales pitches, nothing. After driving it I was in love. I had his shop give it a once-over, and then had my shop do a full inspection. Both reports came in clean. I bought the car and a 3 year warranty a few days later and when I went to pick it up I found that Travis had noticed the tires were pretty worn out and went and got brand new tires for it for no extra charge. I went home a very happy man.

The next day I spent all day happy driving my new car, but by the end of the day I had an error message pop up saying "low coolant". I let the car sit overnight and in the morning I checked the coolant level and the overflow tank was a tad low. I added some water and for a while the car was fine, but by the afternoon the message came back. I immediately started doing research and found that it could be one of 2 things: dirty level sensor or a known defect for a range of these AMGs where the head bolts were poor quality and would randomly snap. The car ran great, I saw no smoke and the coolant level was not that low so I wasn't too worried, until day three. I went to run and errand and by the time I got home the car was barely running. I thought it threw a rod or worse.

I called Travis and immediately he assured me he would take care of it. He took the car to my shop (one of the most reputable independent Mercedes shops in SD). They took a look from the outside, assured me there was no major damage, but assumed it was a broken head bolt, so they asked if I would take the car to Mercedes-Benz dealership to fix since it was a factory defect. Travis again arranged another tow truck to MB. He also talked to my warranty company who assured us I would be covered, but asked us to wait a couple of weeks before filing a claim, just to make life easier on them. (I guess warranties don't kick in right away...) In the mean time Travis arranged to have MBSD give me a brand new C series as a loaner. 2 weeks later, MBSD took apart my motor and confirmed that there was no damage to the motor but that a head bolt did snap, and that they would have to do a top end rebuild on it. They also contacted MB about covering the repair since my car was out of the factory warranty (by like 2 months) MBUSA declined it. I even called and they denied me again, their reasoning being that I wasn't a loyal customer and didn't buy the car from a licensed dealer so as far as they're concerned if there is no recall, you're SOL.

So we moved forward with the 3rd party warranty. They sent an inspector to look over the damage and determine if this was just a freak fault, or if I got a lemon. During this whole time Travis kept me in the loop and was checking with both MBSD and the warranty company to make sure I would be taken care of. Unfortunately after a week of waiting on the report, the warranty came back with a denial. Even though the warranty was supposed to cover the drivetrain completely and their report found that it was just a factory fault, and not the dealers or mine, they felt it was too expensive to fix and denied the claim.

At this point both Travis and I were floored and he stepped in immediately and said he would cover the cost of the repair out of pocket. Since the warranty was at this point pointless he offered me a refund for it and tried to get me a different warranty through MB, but that one would have been 5k more. I did not want to spend more money on this car, so we agreed that he would take the car back and he would refund me the full amount.

Let me say that again. I bought a car from Travis that had a factory fault neither his nor my shop could find, he took care of it as soon as it blew up, MBUSA screwed us, the warranty company screwed us, and after he offered to fix the car on his own tab, he graciously took the car back and has not only refunded me the full amount, but also had to cover the repairs out of pocket. His only concern during the whole process was making sure I was happy with the deal and the car I bought. What other dealer have you ever heard of going to these lengths? This car may not have worked out, but I'm sure as hell going to go to him when I'm ready to get another car.

I recently purchased a BMW from Redline European.  David was pleasant and helpful.  I received a follow up phone call from the owner Travis a couple days after my purchase to make sure I was happy and loving my new car.  I have no complaints and recommend Redline to anyone looking to purchase a luxury car at a fair price.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. I went there to look at a Bentley GTC and an SL65, cash in hand. David refused to allow me to even test drive the vehicles after I had emailed him two days earlier, claiming he never received it and that it was clearly in their website.

Well it's not. Not at the time of me writing this review, though I suppose it will be as soon as they read this.

It would be one thing if I was local but I drove down to San Diego to see the vehicles from LA. I explained that it was not an easy trip but David did not care, he said I could schedule a test drive tomorrow.

Additionally, I noticed Redline European has some very clever photo techniques. Te Bentley I went there to look at looks phenomenal in photos but in person the entire drivers seat bolster is coming unstitched. This is not visible in the photos as they have the seat belt covering it on purpose; class act.

In my search for a luxury vehicle, I value integrity more than anything else. Redline European has none in my opinion and I'll enjoy spending my hard earned money elsewhere.

If you are thinking the 2006 White Corvette Convertible is the car for you, think again.  It was listed at $33K, then drastically dropped to $29K and suddenly listed on Ebay.  There is a reason - it is no longer in mint condition - the front right fender has been replaced with a front right fender from a different model. The fender does not fit, it is not the right color, the hood does not latch down on the right side at all, the front bumper has been repainted (badly), the right door may have been repainted (badly, there are  marks that should not be there), the passenger seat has a tear and a coffee stain on it. I trust the car was pristine and in mint condition when it arrived at the dealership because they have the photos to prove it, but something terrible has happened since then and it is NOT pretty.  Sales guy, David, feigned ignorance about the fender.  The car fax is clear because whatever happened to the front right side of the car occurred after the car fax was run.  DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!

I had a bad experience with Redline European and Travis.

They left a car on eBay for a couple of days after it was sold.  While mistakes can happen, Travis' response was that "they leave auctions open to the end, no matter when the car sells" and that eBay is just for "advertising".  Classified Ads on eBay allow for this so that people don't waste their time bidding in good faith on product that is not available.

More importantly, Travis' attitude and ability to handle complaints is appalling.  The car looked nice, but in the end I was lucky to not get it, because Redline European is not the type of place where I would spend my money.

Great inventory of luxury cars in a nice, clean, dealership. Sales staff spent 3-4 hours showing me 7-8 different SUVs and explaining the pros and cons of each. Truly a comfortable experiences. Picking up an very nice Range Rover, and will be the first place I go back to again.
