SCAM!

I was inquiring about a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. We called and let Ramen know that we would be coming all the way from LA and to please let us know if there were any surprises we needed to know about. He assured us everything was copacetic. We took the long 3 hour drive(Traffic) and saw the car, everything looked ok at first. Then we noticed the stereo was changed to a cheap POS aftermarket stereo and the factory installed subwoofer(SS Package) was missing.  He assured us the previous owner took it offf before the car was repossessed by the bank. We made the mistake of believing him. We asked for a carfax and he fed us some BS story that his account was expired but he looked at the carfax before buying the car and everything was perfect. Upon checking the carfax on my own I found out the car had previously been STOLEN! When I asked for the title for proof it was clean his response was "We dont hold the titles here, it will be sent to you later" A stolen report on a vehicle makes it virtually WORTHLESS. We also found out the front bumper had been repainted. He also installs NON OEM Front plate brackets which scrape up the front bumper. This is all vital information that he didnt mention before we took our long drive.  Upon bringing up the car was previously stolen he tried convincing me that that report was because the stereo was stolen. So it went from the car being repossessed and previous owner selling the radio, to the radio being stolen.  When we asked why he wasted our time and didnt disclose this information, he simply said "no hard feelings, get out"

This man is a scam artist and out to make a quick buck off of clueless individuals. Do yourself a huge favor and STAY AWAY!

Yesterday, we just bought our second car from here. The owner, Ramin (sounds like Ramen), was really respectful, low-pressure, and an enjoyable person to work with. This company is really a one-man-band, and he has been in the business for 10 years. It seems his style of business is that he only finds clean-titled cars from auctions. Some may have had some previous damage, but nothing to brand the title. He gave us a free copy of the CARFAX. I can only imagine he would be willing to email you the CARFAX if you called him. Very amiable man.

Any car he buys with damage is fixed with certified mechanics, but he was still very willing to allow us to take it to a near-by AAA mechanic (Pacific Auto Service - great reviews on Yelp) for a pre-purchase inspection. Everything turned out just as expected from Ramin's explanation of the vehicle. We were sold.

Really great experience, and seems like a guy to go out of his way to give you good business (not aggressive, just willing to please if you have a question). If you are deciding to look at one of his cars, know that this is a trust worthy man to do business with. I would still inspect it, of course, and it will just give you more assurance of Ramin's reliability.

The service I got from this company was real good. Jay helped me get the car in a very timely matter.

What turned me off from this dealership is the patchwork they did on the car to have it drive just off the lot and into your driveway. I haven't driven my car more than 200 miles and there has been transmission fluid leaks almost everyday.

Now my car is dead and the help Jay said he would do turned out to be just sending the car to the same shady mechanic.

Don't buy the protection plan because they find every way not to cover the car. It's a scam. Take the car they have for you to a mechanic.

I purchased my second car from DirectBuy about 3 months ago and I have been extremely happy with both cars.  Not only have I been happy with the cars, more importantly, I have been happy with the level of service.
When I started to look for my second car I asked them to just keep their eyes open for me at the auctions.  They were very happy to do this to me and updated me on what they were seeing and what I would be able to get with my money.  They were very honest and upfront.
When I decided on a car that I wanted I found out there was a fix that would need to be done very soon after I purchased it, IF I purchased it.  I talked to a mechanic and he told me about what it would cost and I told DirectBuy and they were happy to lower the price a little bit for me.
The first car I bought included a pretty generous warranty at no cost to me and the second car was "as-is" but still reasonably priced.
Overall I would recommend DirectBuy to anyone looking for a nice used car/truck.  If you want to avoid someone trying to push you into buying a car and pressuring you into making a decision, I'd check them out.
